Harry flinches slightly as he dips his toes into the creek. It's really cold. He stares at Katara and Aang, laughing happily in the water, practising their waterbending. He wonders if it's because they're waterbenders, that they can go into water this cold. The Hogwarts lake last year was a lot colder than this, but still. He sighs, but knows he has to wash himself somehow. The wizard winces as he uses the soap to wash away most of the grime without removing his underwear. He can't exactly cast a heating charm on the whole river, but he does sense that the water is heating slightly as it meets his skin. It's one of the nice things of being a firebenders he supposes.

Man, I miss showers, he thinks in dismay for the millionth time since he came here. He gets out of the water, absentmindedly casting a drying charm and cleaning charm on his underwear. His skin always feels clammy after he uses the charm on himself, but it's still very convenient. He walks towards Appa, giving the sky bison a few pets before he lifted the clothes in the air with a bit of wordless magic. Ever since he'd managed to do the wordless water spell, other easy first-year spells had become quite easy for him to do wordlessly. The clothes lifted in the air, lining up in front of him as if they were hanging from a line. "Scourgify!" the dirt and creases in the clothes slowly disappeared in front of his eyes. He smiled, satisfied with his work. He flicked his wand again, concentrating as the clothes started to fold themselves into neat piles, each for someone in the group.

"I still can't believe you can do magic." Harry turned around, Sokka was drying himself with one small towel, another one hanging at his waist. Harry smiled bashfully, running a hand through his hair. "How so? I mean your bending is a form of magic." Sokka scowled a bit, looking at his sister and Aang that are still playing in the river. "I thought it was magic, what bending could do. But ever since I've met you, I realized that it's not. They can manipulate their element, and nothing outside of it, but you? The rope that you can do, it doesn't fall within any kind of element." He turns back to look at him. The wizard can't help the churning in his stomach at the stone look on the teen's face. He hadn't rejected his magic yet, it's not like he would shun him now. Like the Dursleys had done.

Sokka looked at him intensely for a few seconds, before he smiled brightly. "When I thought of magic as a kid, I always thought of something that would save us from the Fire Nation. Or something magical like a floating penguin or a floating bed." He waved his hands enthusiastically around, mimicking a wand in his hand. Harry chuckled at his expression, as the clothes finished folding themselves. Looking at his almost in awe expression, he suddenly hads an idea. He gestured for the Sokka to come closer, as if he was telling him a secret.

"Do you want to see the most magical spell I know?" Sokka's eyes had widened, and he nodded, a smile hidden as he bit his lip in excitement. The wizard smiled before cradling his wand and closing his eyes. He focused on his determination, his will to be with his friends, like he had before. He frowned, opening his eyes as the silver mist that came out of his wand, thin and barely there. Sokka was looking at his wand, eyes bright in wonder as the silver mist poured out slowly. He knew he could stop there, but he wanted to show his friends the whole spell.

Harry takes a deep breath, closing his eyes anew. His mind immediately went to Sirius, his hope for the future, of living with him. Of being just Harry, hanging out with his friends, no Voldemort, no Fire Lord. Just relaxing, like normal kids. He ignored the memories of Sirius falling over, of Cedric's life disappearing in front of his eyes. The doubt about ever coming home. He knew he couldn't do that forever. He'd been doing that a lot, huh? Pushing away, crying, pushing away, crying. A little bit of hope. Maybe that was all he needed right now. Hope. It wasn't he was a freak that let his friends die while he sat back in another world doing nothing like a spoiled brat, aren't you Potter?

He forgot about it all, except the deep burning hope of home and love. And he whispered the words. "Expecto Patronum." A bright light appeared behind his eyelids and Sokka's gasp made him open his eyes, a soft smile breaking out. In front of him, stood Prongs, mighty and unafraid. The deer looked at him, before snuffling Sokka, who raised his hand, touching the back of the deer, eyes so wide, Harry almost feared they would pop out. The deer ran off, startling the both of them, running towards Aang and Katara who had stopped what they were doing, staring at the Patronus. Katara giggled as the deer nuzzled her hand, giving a soft gasp at the feel of the fur.

Aang approached tentatively, laughing happily as he petted the deer. Prongs headed off towards Toph, who was frowning in confusing. The patronus approached the sudden clicking of hoofs on the floor startling Harry, as the deer had never made a sound before. Toph raised her hand, slightly confused, only for her eyes to widen as soon as she touched the fur, a smile spreading across her face. After a few moments of petting, the deer quickly nuzzled Appa, letting Momo perch on its back before heading back to its caster.

The wizard smiled, petting it softly. "Hi Prongs. No danger, just showing you off." The deer huffed, before disappearing softly, leaving everyone in better spirit. Harry hadn't done a patronus since the beginning of fifth year, before Sirius… With everything that had happened to him, he'd feared that he wouldn't have been able to. He'd never needed a happy memory, which said a lot about him in the first place, but he was glad that he still managed to do a patronus. He wasn't totally broken.

"What was that?" shouted Aang, as he used his airbending to zip across the water and crowded around him. Toph and Katara ran up to the group, talking in wonder about the deer or demanding answers in Toph's case. "It's a Patronus. It's a spell that is meant to drive off dementors." He answered a smile on his face. "Dementors are monsters that suck out your soul and you become depressed if you're near them," he clarified when they all stared at him in confusion. "A patronus is the concentration of the positive emotions of the caster."

Hope was a pretty powerful emotion, wasn't it? Maybe he wasn't the happiest person on earth, maybe he was slightly depressed, (slightly?) but if he could do a patronus, then he'd be okay. (Suck on that, Tom)

"Wait, there's soul-sucking monsters that can kill you in your world?" asked Sokka, face becoming paler. Harry tilted his head, "Not exactly, they don't kill you. They just leave you a lifeless husk. But yeah, they suck." He scowled at the thought of them.

They all just stared at him in horror. "What?" he asked defensively. Toph crossed her arms, "Nothing, just realizing how much we don't know about your world. And why you are the way you are." The rest of the group nodded enthusiastically. Harry drew back, frowning. "What's that supposed to mean?" ignoring the first part of her statement. They, in turn ignored his question.

"Do you have other … horrific monsters?" Aang asked, half joking. The wizard looked to the sky in thought. "I mean the rest isn't as horrific, except maybe a boggart." "Wait, are you serious." "Maybe there's acromantulas that could count, and trolls I guess? I'm also not exactly keen on dragons, but I'm sure they're ok." While he did have a bad experience with the species, Charlie wouldn't like them if they were so monstrous.

Luckily, before he could be questioned about his life choices, a voice interrupted their conversation. They all turned to look at a group of people, one of them being a heavily pregnant woman. The woman was smiling at them, while the rest of the group was gaping at Appa. "Are you also going to Ba Sing Se? It's nice to meet you by the way." Harry smiled and returned the greeting. "Yes, we're going. When is the baby coming?" asked Aang, looking at her belly. Ying didn't seem to mind, simply smiling, looking down at her belly as well. "Very soon, but this baby does not want to come out." She gently chided her stomach.

"Well, if you're going to Ba Sing Se, will you come with us to the Full Moon Bay? If we're going to the same place, we might as well travel together." The group looked at each other. They didn't need to pass through the Full Moon Bay, they had Appa. "We could go to get more resources?" said Katara in a sort of hopeful tone. She was clearly worried about the woman and Harry couldn't blame her. Being pregnant was already hard, but being pregnant in an era where the medicine was not as good as magic or modern muggle medicine, would have scared the wizard much more if he was a woman. Not that they knew what they were missing.

Although Sokka seemed reluctant to waste time, the rest of the group agreed to go get resources. Ba Sing Se was not that far away, but enough for trouble to happen. The family plus the entire group wouldn't fit on Appa, and it would be very heavy for the sky bison. He was tired enough as it is from the long and arduous journey through the desert. Getting him a bit of rest was something that he would greatly appreciate.

After concluding that the Full Moon Bay was not that far off, Aang embarked upon Appa with the pregnant woman who knew the way. Than was very grateful to the group, for his wife had been worried about walking to the Full Moon Bay. The walk there was filled with quiet chatter, a sense of peace taking hold of the wizard's heart. He could almost imagine Ron and Hermione bickering next to him, his face now adorning a bittersweet smile.

Luckily for him, he didn't have to stew in his dark thoughts for long, as the place came into view. It was small, and if not the number of people around, Harry would have seriously doubted that it was a port for refugees. Of course, it couldn't be obvious, as the Fire Nation was most likely hovering somewhere. They entered through a big tunnel, with dim light lighting the way for the group. The walls were smooth, and the firebender could faintly smell the salty scent of the ocean. Before he'd come to this world, he had never seen the sea, but now, it had become almost familiar. The tunnel gave away to a small port packed with people just waiting to get on board.

Ahead of them was Aang and Ying, who were busy arguing with the desk lady. Aang seemed to be trying to mitigate the situation as best as he could while Ying looked on the verge of tears. Her husband immediately ran to her as soon as he caught sight of her, leaving the group to follow behind him. "Look ma'am, I'm the Avatar! Can't you at least give these three people a pass? It's only three!" The receptionist was not impressed.

"Look kid, I see dozens of Avatar every day, and you could have at least put in the efforts if you wanted to come here and pretend." Sure enough, there are a bunch of kids dressed in orange garbs with sticks vaguely resembling Aang's air glider. Harry can only be glad that no one tried to fake being the Boy-Who-Lived. Actually, he would've had a peaceful time at Hogwarts, so he's not sure he actually minds.

"But ma'am, this woman is pregnant, she's about to give birth any moment. It would be much safer for her to give birth in the city!" "If she's about to give birth at any moment, then she won't have time to make it to the city, Mr. Avatar." She mocked, clearly not interested in the situation. Before Aang could argue any further, Toph walked forward, pushing the airbender to the side.

"I'll handle it." She says confidently before sliding a sheet of paper on the desk, "I'll be taking three tickets please." The woman gasps as soon as she takes one look at the paper. Her hands tremble as she takes it closer to her face. "The Beifong Seal! While this wouldn't be procedure normally," she hesitated before smiling down at the earthbender, a smile that reminded Harry awfully of Umbridge. She took out a big stamp, stamping the three papers in front of her with a wide smile that the wizard didn't believe for a minute. The pregnant woman almost collapsed in absolute relief, tugging Toph in a tight hug, much to the earthbender's dismay. Luckily, her husband gently pried his wife off the stiff body of their friend.

"Thank you so much! We were worried if we were going to make it in time for Ying's delivery. We don't know how to thank you enough!" Than cried out, tears in his eyes. Harry and Toph stood there awkwardly as they continued to praise their deeds. Luckily for them, the other three people of the group were much better at expecting compliments and hugged the couple back.

Even after dealing with his fame for years, he was still not used to dealing with … this. To be fair, his fame had mostly led him to being ostracized by the wizarding society, more than anything else. His status as the Boy-Who-Lived was always something that came in the way of his relationship with people. Any accomplishment, failures, friends. Even if Ron and Hermione had grown to be friends with Harry more than the Boy-Who-Lived, his status still influenced everything they did. Fourth Year proves that. Being in this world showed that he can do much more than just what his mom did. He hasn't talked about his fame to anyone in this world, or too much about his history. He doesn't want them to treat him any differently than they already are.

The wizard startled as a young security guard approached Sokka, a faint smile on her face. "Tickets and passports please." She asked, holding out her hand. Sokka glanced back at the rest of the group, before turning to her. "Is there a problem?" he demanded, crossing his arms a bit in defence. "I've got a problem with you!" she exclaimed, making Harry grip his wand, "I've seen your type before. Probably sarcastic and thinks they're hilarious. Coincidentally travelling with the avatar." Ok this is too detailed… Almost as if Sokka was reading his mind, he squints at the guard "Do I know you?" She seems to scoff, before stepping closer to him. "You mean you don't? Maybe you'll remember this!" she steps close to him, kissing him on the cheek. He stood there, stunned for a few seconds, before giving her a big hug, "Suki!"

"So … are we supposed to know this chick?" asked Toph. Harry, Yin and her family all shrugged.

"We met her on Kyoshi Island and helped her rescue her people when Zuko attacked." Said Katara, before she went to greet her. Harry frowned as his belly churned uncomfortably, and decided to simply ignore it.

"What are you doing out of Kyoshi Island? And what happened to all your make-up and the new outfit?" asked Sokka, having ended the embrace, but still standing in her near vicinity. "The crabby lady makes us wear it. Me and the other Kyoshi warriors are here to try and help people." She grabbed Sokka's arm, lifting it up to examine it. "Look at you getting muscles." She teased. Sokka blushed, avoiding her gaze slightly. Harry frowned in confusion, absentmindedly tugging at his scale necklace, Isn't he with Yue?

The group continued talking to each other until Yin and her family had to leave, thanking them profusely and promising the group to meet up in Ba Sing Se. The gaang waved at the family as they disappeared in the horizon.

"So, are you coming to Ba Sing Se as well?" asked Sokka, a hopeful tone in his voice. Suki hesitated but heaved a sigh. Harry knew her answer before she spoke, and from Sokka's face, he could too. "We came here to help people. And as much as I would love to spend more time with you, nobody is in need in Ba Sing Se. Here, I can help the refugees get to safety. I am sorry that I can't spend more time with you."

Sokka just shrugged a bit, "It's fine, I get it." He looked down in obvious disappointment as an awkward silence befell the group. Harry decided that they should leave this conversation between the two of them and dragged off Toph who went willingly. He saw Katara drag Aang off as well, as they all left to go wait at the entrance of the Bay. Not long after, Sokka came back slightly blushing, and any "subtle" attempt by members of the group to get details were deferred. Soon enough they were heading back to where Appa was waiting for them, lounging in the morning sun.

They all climbed on, as Sokka bent over the map to get them to the stronghold city. The mood was cheerful, as they were all eager to get to the Earth King. There was finally going to be an end to this war. As they approached towards the city, chatting amongst each other, a sight into the city startled everyone in the sky bison.

"Is that a giant drill?" asked Harry in bewilderment. It hadn't seemed like this world had big technology. The main technologies of this world were based on the bending activities, and not Muggle technology that he was used to. But this drill? Seemed very much man-made. It wasn't a surprise for Harry when he saw the gigantic Fire Nation insignia. He just sighed in dismay. Just as they were about to rest at a city, noooooo, the fire nation had to ruin it.

"What do we do?" asked Katara, biting her lip as she looked at the gigantic drill. "We should go see the people in charge there." Aang pointed at what looked like earthbending soldiers that were looking at what was attacking their city. "Let's go." Said Sokka with determination.

"HELLO! Blind here! What is happening?" shouted Toph, smoke almost coming out her ears, the group smiling sheepishly at each other.

XxX

They flew above the fortified walls, landing next to gawking earthbending soldiers. Aang descended the sky bison, somehow looking fierce at 12 years old. "W-what are you doing here? Civilians are not allowed on the wall!" the man rapidly gained his confidence back, drawing himself up, only to lose it again at the kid's next words, "I'm the avatar. Take me to your commander." The soldier started gaping again, fumbling to lead them towards another portion of the wall. Harry looking at the vast farmland that was in front of them, another wall far away in front of him. This whole situation just showed how much the war was affecting them. To have their cities so far away, and encased in another wall. It seemed much more like a prison than a stronghold, but beggars couldn't be choosers.

After the short walk that Harry's brain made seem like 2 hours, a fancy-dressed man welcomed them with a bow. "It is an honour to have you here Avatar Aang, but your help is not needed." There was a moment of silence disbelief as the group exchanged looks.

"Not needed?" he asked, clearly confused. The General only smiled, as if there wasn't a giant drill coming for his walls. "No. I have the situation under control. I can assure you, the Fire Nation will not penetrate this wall."

"What about the Dragon of the West? He got in." countered Toph. Once again Harry realized how much common knowledge he was unaware of when nobody batted an eye at the name drop. General Sung looked taken aback, clearly he had not expected someone to challenge his very convincing argument. "Uh, well, yes, but he was quickly expunged!" He dressed himself up again, looking as confident as before, "This is why the city is called Ba Sing Se, meaning impenetrable city and not Na Sing Se." He laughed as if he'd told the funniest joke, trailing off when everyone continued to stare at him blankly. "It means penetrable city."

"But you still have a drill coming for your walls." Pointed, Harry. It was also making a lot of noise, which was extremely annoying. The man smiled proudly, pointing at what Harry assumed was a group of men. "Don't worry. I have sent the Terra Team, an elite platoon to stop the assault."

"That's a cool group name, very catchy." Said Sokka pointedly.

They all watched in disappointment as the team sent boulders at the GIANT DRILL, doing exactly nothing. Whereas before, he was only disappointed, the wizard hit his head on a nearby pillar as soon as he saw Ty Lee and Mai coming out of the drill to fight the soldiers. What is my life? He asked himself, only to remember he was in another world with no magic but spirits and benders. Never mind, it tracks.

General Sung, meanwhile, stared at the defeated soldiers before screaming in panic, pacing and waving his arms around like a mad man. "WE'RE DOOMED!" he would probably have continued to scream until the end of the time if not for the slap that Sokka graciously gave him. "Pull yourself together, man!" Sung bent forward in shame, looking like a cowering child.

"Maybe you'd like the Avatar's help now?" said Toph, raising an eyebrow. The man shifted to look at Aang, hanging his head, not looking at the airbender. "Yes please." Aang nodded at him, a big smile on his face, before looking at the drill.

"Soooo, what are we actually going to do with this drill?" asked Toph, coking her head to the side. Harry looked at the drill, before realizing that this was all metal. "It's easy, just bend it the wrong way or something." Everyone turned to stare at him in obvious confusion. Toph even looked a little annoyed. "What are you talking about, magic man?" she bit out. It was the firebender's turn to look confused.

"Isn't metal a part of earth? Minerals come from the earth, to form metal. Like sand, that are like atom size minerals." Harry knew that scientists would be crying at that explanation, but he didn't have much better.

"No lightning scar, earthbenders can't bend metal." Said Toph, arms crossed, somehow looking a little bit hesitant, nonetheless. He smoothed his fringe unconsciously as his stomach rolled from the familiar nickname. He hadn't realized that they had noticed his scar, but flying on a sky bison with high winds meant that his hair had flown back before. It was actually a miracle he still had his glasses. He just shrugged and looked away, suddenly uncomfortable with how they were staring at him.

He heard the others talk, but he didn't really pay attention to the conversation. He concentrated a pool of magic in his hand, a test that he had been trying ever since their never-ending trip through the desert. He knew that his firebending needed more work than his magic, but developing firebending wouldn't help him in a fight, as they'd assume he was working for the Fire Nation. Hence the magic. Wandless magic was harder than he had thought, though he couldn't say he was that surprised. Just doing a wordless aguamenti had been hard, and without a wand at all? He knew he could do it, though, he had done plenty of accidental magic when he was a child himself.

He could feel his magic trying, but nothing was really happening. With his wand, it seemed like a combined effort. His wand was reaching out with his magic to make a spell happen. But here, his magic didn't have anything to reach to. Being in this world that had next to no ambient magic made him hyper aware of it; therefore he became extra sensitive to the ones in his body. He had learned to deal with frustration a bit better since coming to this world, but he knew he would never reach Luna's level of calmness.

Even so, he concentrated on the warm feeling of his magic around his body, concentrating at the task at hand. He took deep breaths, trying to ignore the frustration that was slowly building at his lack of results. Harry knew that this would not come quick. He still felt a little bit like a freak useless when nothing continued to happen. He let his hand drop with a sigh, a small fire coming out of his nostrils, startling him. He still wasn't used to his new ability.

Harry took out the scrolls that he'd gotten from the library, opening the one in latin. This one he could maybe crack, but without Hermione, it would be difficult. The others were in languages that he didn't even hope to understand. He would have to invent a translating spell, without knowing the original language. He sighed in dismay, looking up at the bright cloudless sky, for a few minutes, until Katara was hesitantly putting a hand on his arm.

He let his gaze fall to hers and smiled awkwardly at her concerned look, putting away the scrolls in his pouch. She stares at him for a bit, before sighing. "I know you probably won't want to. But if you want to talk, I'm here." He sighed as well, and shrugged. There was a moment of silence before she nudged him out.

The wizard's face flushed in embarrassment, but still, no words came out of his mouth. Apparently recognizing his stubbornness on the issue, she rolled her eyes, but nonetheless explained the plan. They walked over to their friends that were standing in a trench that the earthbenders had made to fight off the drill. Aang waved to the two of them, and before Harry could even say anything, Toph was in a fighting stance. "I'm going to create a sort of smoke screen for us to go forward." Everyone nodded in agreement, and before Harry could even argue that he could use a smoke screen, Toph stomped, dirt flew up, and everyone ran. He ran after the ground, just managing to get in the small hole that they'd already made. He moved forward, startling when the earthbenders dropped behind him and the hole above them closed.

"It's so dark in here! I can't see a thing!" There was a moment of silence, as Harry cast a Lumos.

"Oh no, what a nightmare." Said Toph sarcastically.

Sokka winced sheepishly, "Sorry. Thanks, Harry."

The group walked in silence for a bit, the glow of Harry's wand allowing them to see all the dirt around them. In other words, nothing much. They were soon out of the tunnel and directly under the drill. Everyone quickly ran out, going inside the drill. As Harry was about to go towards one direction, he realized that Toph wasn't following him. Frowning, he quickly turned back. She was still next to the now-closed hole, making no move to go in. "What are you doing?"

She snorted, crossing her arms, "No way I'm going into that metal monster. I can't actually metal bend, I'd be totally useless in there. I'll try to slow it down from here." "You could still help," Harry tries. She only scowls at him. "Go with the others, lightning head." Harry once again ignores the nickname (therefore ignoring his feelings towards it) and goes out to meet the others who were waiting for him. "Toph's not coming. Says she'd be useless in here since she doesn't have metal bending." The others all collectively agree and start walking in the machine.

"I'm going to need plans of this place if I want to find its weak spots." Sokka comments, thoughtfully looking around. Suddenly he takes out his machete and cuts off a valve, much to the protest of the rest of the group. Aang grabbed the Water Tribe teen by the arm, "Hey, what are you doing! You're going to give us away!" Sokka only smirked, gently tugging his arm away. "Exactly. There must be a bunch of engineers on this machine to keep it running. So when something breaks…" "They come fix it!" exclaimed Harry, ignoring the thought that Hermione might have thought about that. They all hear footsteps, and quickly hide in the room, for a man wearing a mask comes into the room, presumably an engineer. The wizard twitches in surprise when Katara appears from behind the man, freezing him solid. He'd not heard her at all. Sokka quickly takes the map that was in his hand.

"Did I ever tell you how badass you are?" Harry quietly says to her. She only smirks. The group is quick to leave the room, finding another empty one to quickly look over the plans. They didn't want the engineer to hear what their plans were after all. They all waited for Sokka's judgment, as nobody actually knew what they were looking at. "It looks like the drill is made up of two main structures. There's the inner mechanism and the outer shell. We're in the inner mechanism right now. But look at this." He points to what looks like random pillars, "These braces connect the inner mechanism and the outer shell. If we manage to destroy them, then we can bring down the whole thing!" With renewed excitement, they all start heading towards where the braces are supposed to be, keeping quiet as to not arouse suspicion.

After a little bit of running and definitely not getting lost, they finally arrived. For a moment they all stared at the GIANT brace in front of them, before turning to give Sokka a flat look. "Hey! It's not like I knew they would be that big. We're gonna have to work pretty hard to cut it."

Katara crosses her arms over her chest, "What's this 'we' stuff? Aang, Harry and, I are going to be the ones doing all the hard work."

Sokka throws his hands up in the air in exasperation, "Look, I'm the plans guy. I come up with the ideas, you're the ones to do all that magic and waterbending to cut stuff. And together, we're team Avatar!" No one is impressed at his dramatic pose, and they turn to the brace, ignoring his drooping frame.

"So, how stealthy do we need to be for this?" asked Harry. They all looked at each other, before shrugging. "I mean, I think it depends on how much time we have to get out of here?" answered Sokka, tilting his head. "Cool, cool, cool. So back off a bit? Yes, even you two." He clarifies to the two benders, who look confused but still obey. Diffindo is an easy enough spell for him to do, but enough for him to cut this whole brace? He'll need a lot more power than what he used in charms class for this spell. And so, when before he wouldn't even think about the spell, he now concentrates to pour as much power as he can. With a downward slash of his wand, magic leaves him, aiming at the brace in a deadly cut, "DIFFINDO!"

The spell cuts through the brace with a sickening noise, making a clean line that reaches about three quarters of the way through. Harry pants heavily, silently cursing at the fact that it wasn't enough. He turns to look at the others, ready to tell them that it would need a little more, before he realizes they're all staring at him intently in disbelief. "What?" he says, deeply uncomfortable with the familiar way they're staring at him. As if he's a sort of hero. "Look, we need to do this before they manage to reach Ba Sing Se, so will you stop staring at me!" he almost shouts. That seems to shake them out of whatever they're thinking, Aang and Sokka coming up to him all excited.

"Since when could you do that! Can you do that forever? And—"

"That was awesome, you could cut through anything! What abou—"

Harry held up his hands as they both surrounded him in questions, eyes sparkling like they'd seen Merlin himself. With just made him realize how awkward the comparison made him feel. "I could always do that, not forever. It actually takes a lot out of me to do it on this size, can we go back to destroying this drill, please?"

They all calmed themselves and Harry concentrates once again, recasting the cutting spell, this time going all the way through. Everyone backs away in anticipation, only for them to droop when exactly nothing happens. "Well, what are we going to do now?" huffs Katara in annoyance. Harry only smiles and draws his wand once more. "Depulso!" The spell hits the upper part of the brace, shifting it a few centimetres. He concentrates, and casts the spell again, and again. As he casts the spell one last time, with the force of a frustrated teenager who's about to take down an invading nation, he sees Sokka's eyes widen at the corner of his vision, running towards him to stop it. But it's too late. With one final satisfying sound, the beam slides off its base.

For a moment, it seems as if nothing has happened, but soon, it reaches the floor and everyone covers their ears at the awful sound. The sound of something crack makes them all look to the ceiling, where the metal has been torn away with the pillar. Gigantic parts of metal start to hang loose, and Harry hastily casts Wingardium Leviosa, only to drop it immediately when the weight almost makes him bowl over. Aang tries to bend air to hold up the falling piece of metal, but just as it happened with Harry, the weight is too much.

So, with a sickening crunch, the gigantic pieces of metal falls towards them at an alarming speed. There is nowhere to hide, they are standing on a thin platform. They try to outrun it, and Harry can see Aang make it due to his airbending. The wizard quickly looks up at their falling doom, and back to Sokka and Katara. "FLIPENDO!," he quickly shouts, propelling the two towards Aang that grabs them.

Before Harry has even the chance to smile at his victory, he looks up and is met with the sight of metal bands hurtling towards his nose.

"Shit."

XxX: Haha, hi? So I have literally no excuse as I'm in summer vacation right now for not updating, but here it is nonetheless. It was a lot longer than I thought it was going to be, but I hope you guys like it! As I'm going to the beach and I brought my computer, I should be writing more. A lot of road you know. Thanks for all the support, and I'll see you soon, hopefully!
