Chapter 33
The Spearhead of Hope heads towards a new set of coordinates in order to find the Grand Paradise System. The new home for everyone with dozens of habitable worlds. In the cafeteria, Team NDGO is learning on how to play Duel Monsters (Yu-Gi-Oh!) from the eight characters from ARC-V and from Flame of VRAINS.
Gwen is learning, "So... I cannot summon this monster is because it's level is too high?"
"You got it!" Zuzu nodded, "That there is an eight star monster. You need to tribute two monsters in order to summon it."
"Okay."
"You can summon level four or lower monsters without tributing."
"Uh-huh."
Dew is learning from Yuya, "How does pendulum summon work?"
Flame is looking over Yuya's shoulder, "I never heard of it."
Yuya explains, "You have to place two cards on the pendulum zone that have different numbers on the scale. Pendulum monsters basically function as continuous spell cards and they let you summon a certain number of monsters based on the scale. Like if you have a scale of two and a scale of seven, you can summon monsters who's levels are three to six from your hand. And if your pendulum cards are destroyed, they go to the extra deck."
"Hmm." Flame is interested, "This would make link summoning easier."
"But why can't I have ritual monsters in my extra deck?" Dew asks.
In another section, Rin is teaching Nebula about types.
"Who knew there are that many types." Nebula is surprised.
"I know, right?"
In another area...
"GAAAH!" Yuri is throwing a fit as he learns Gwent from Octavia, "I WAS SO CLOSE!"
Octavia laughs at Yuri, "Better luck next time!"
Celina shoves Yuri over, "Okay, my turn! Now I wanna try!"
Yuri shoves back, "No, I'm gonna do this again and this time, I'll win!"
Celina shoves again, "You lost three times already! It's my turn!"
Lulu is teaching Team RWBY about xyz summoning. "If you have both monsters of the same level, you get to overlay them and can xyz summon." She places her Lyrilusc - Assembled Nightingale on her Cobalt Sparrow and Sapphire Swallow. "And there you have it."
"This game is so complicated." Yang scratches her head.
"Well, I am from the Xyz Dimension and some of these other summonings were new to me."
"I believe this game focus more on strategy than just playing." Blake makes a statement. "With Gwent, you just play a certain number of cards while this game focus more on trying to outwit your opponent."
Weiss speaks, "I think it is more about tenacity with brains."
Ruby has spiral eyes as she is trying to process all the new information.
Yang looks at her sister, "Hey, I don't blame ya."
Ruby lays her head on the table, "Just hope there isn't any more card games that are this complicated."
Yugo walks by, "You think that's bad, try the ban list in tournaments. It's ridiculous."
Yuto has a plate of sweets, "Anybody need a snack?"
Ruby raises her hand.
Yuto place a plate of chocolate chip cookies, rice crackers, and graham crackers.
"Thank you." Ruby is tired from all the lectures.
"Sure thing, Ruby."
An alarm started blaring with Ai shouting over the PA, "EVERYONE!" He sounds excited, "ON THE BRIDGE, QUICK!"
A lot of people have gathered on the bridge to find out what the hell is going on.
"What the hell is going on?!" Yang demands answers.
Ai pops up, "Yeah, uh, we found this...thing."
The hologram of the object in question is spherical and appears to be mechanical.
Church pops up, "That, is definitely the Death Star from Star Wars."
"No." Grif says in a sarcastic tone, "You think!"
"What's the Death Star?" Weiss asked.
Tucker explains, "Its basically a doomsday weapon that can destroy planets."
"Oh."
Taiyang says, "Yeah, the word 'death' was a bit of a give away."
"I don't think it is." Simmons states.
"What do you mean?!" Kazuma questions Simmons in a panic, "That thing is the Death Star!"
"Take a closer look."
Simmons enhance the image of the northern hemisphere of the worldcraft in order to make his point. As everyone (from Earth or its colonies) know that there is a circle area where the Death Star fire its superlaser. But in this instance...
"Holy shit!" Grif is astonished, "The superlaser isn't there!"
"Ain't that a shame." Sarge sounds disappointed. "How can it be the Death Star without its giant laser that make planets go boom?"
Aqua shows up, "Based on some of the scans, this station is repurposed for another task. But there is a layer of shields that is preventing us from any deeper scanning. Yet we found this."
The hologram of the 'south pole' of the not-Death-Star where there is a large hole.
"Here, we found some sort of hanger that is big enough to put the Spearhead of Hope in. The configurations match."
Everyone look at each other and are perplexed by this discovery.
"Hmm." Professor Bartholomew adjust his glasses and takes a closer look. "I wonder what is the purpose of this station. But why would something like this have a hanger big enough for the Spearhead of Hope? The designs and architecture of both the station and ship don't match."
"Can we go inside of that thing?" Summer asks. "There could be a clue inside of it on where the Grand Paradise System is."
Delta appears, "An excellent hypothesis. Since the ship can fit inside-"
"Bow-chicka-bow-wow." Tucker interrupted.
"It would be easy to send in many scouts in various sections. The hangar cannot be a coincidence. It might serve a much larger role in order to locate our objective and would provide us with a great deal of materials that we cannot spawn with the black boxes. Such as solarite."
"I say we should use caution." Ghira says aloud. "We don't want any fungal infestations like what the other team discovered."
Ai then says, "And us AI can get full access to this station!"
"We'll split up in teams to cover much ground as we can." Carolina speaks. "Once in, we have to find out what is something like this doing here."
The Spearhead of Hope enters the hanger in the south pole of this not-Death-Star (insert sexual joke here). When fully docked, a bunch of clamping mechanisms started to hold the ship in place. The hangar entrance then activate its magnetic field shield to pressurize the hangar. The airlocks of the ship are being hocked up to pathways into the station. Many teams are at the airlocks, both who have black boxes and not, as they wait for the airlocks to open. Once they finished pressurizing, the doors open and various teams enter.
Inside of the station, the halls are exactly identical to what the inside of the Death Star looks like. Team RWBY is with Blue Team of RVB as they head deeper.
"Wow." Tucker is amazed, "This place is just like the Death Star."
"You can say that again." Washington speaks.
"This place is just like the Death Star." Caboose repeats.
"Not really, Caboose."
Yang points at one of the doors, "Let's check this door out."
The door opens and reveals a humongous room full of vats when the lights turn on. Rows upon rows of vats full of various species from every known fantasy and sci-fi series ever known. Altmer, Krogan, Twi'lek, Night Elf, all of them.
"The hell?" Weiss is perplexed. "What is this?"
"It looks like some sort of cloning lab." Blake theorize.
"It does look like one." says Carolina.
That is when Caboose says, "Probably meant to repopulate the galaxy after the cataclysmic event yet something went wrong."
Everyone then look at Caboose and are stunned by what he said.
Tucker says after a few moments of silence, "I don't know what is scarier. Caboose being right or this place."
Washington continues, "Let's find a terminal and see what this place actually is."
They all head towards the other side of the room and found a control terminal.
"Just hope it isn't galactic basic."
"Isn't it the same as our written language?" Ruby asks.
"No." Washington replies, "They changed it during the prequels."
"Oh."
Washington boots up the computer and turns out, it is in English.
"Okay, good." Washington is somewhat relieved, "It is in English. But... Fuck. We need a password."
"Never easy, is it?" Carolina says.
Blake takes a closer look, "It looks like a four digit password. So, it might be simple."
"Try typing clone." Caboose suggest.
"That's five letters." Weiss speaks with some annoyance in her voice.
"Oh. Try typing life."
"That's... That does sound plausible."
Washington types in and he got a green light.
"Holy shit, it worked."
"Okay," Tucker is starting to get nervous, "that's twice Caboose got something right. It's like this place is run on Caboose's mind."
Church pops up on the screen, "Ugh! I do not want to go inside there again."
"Hey, Church!" Caboose is happy to see his buddy again.
"About time." Carolina says to Church.
"Hey, the cyber security of this place is no joke." Church explains, "I had to use some old passcodes from the Spearhead of Hope in order to bypass all of those firewalls and other security systems."
"How high is the cyber security."
"WAY beyond anything the other AI's and I have discovered or made. Ai sent in a few duplicates of himself to test the system and they got wiped out immediately. Whoever built this place was definitely trying to protect whatever the hell is on board."
Weiss then speaks, "Well, we found what appears to be cloning vats filled with all sorts of species I've never seen before."
"Hold on, let me check."
Church does some digging in the computer system in order to learn more. After five seconds, Church finishes.
"And done. Had to go through all sorts of files but here is what I've found out. This space station, and get ready for this, is from the Grand Paradise System. It is meant to repopulate the galaxy with a large variety of species and have more diversity in order create more unity."
Caboose acts all smug, "And I called it."
"Shhh!" Weiss shushes Caboose.
"Yeah, this place has all sorts of info and teaches that prejudice and racism is wrong along with slavery, conquest and all sorts of bad things. Yet teaches the event that caused the depopulation of this galaxy. But there are also something... Whoa, hold up!" Church makes a discovery. "Holy shit!"
"What is it?!" Ruby asks in suspense.
"I have more information on the Grand Paradise System! It is not just a solar system, but a system size facility! As in a space structure the size of a fucking solar system!"
"WHAT?!" everyone went.
Caboose is more confused, "Yeah, what everyone said."
"Turns out the place is wandering through space in a certain sector of the galaxy in a circle with in a fifty light-year radius. I don't have any images of the place, but I can track the thing. Actually, all of us AI's can track the thing. However, we need a certain key in a black box in order to gain full access."
Everyone is shocked by the new news about the Grand Paradise System.
"Is it here?!" Yang wants to know.
"Well... Turns out that Ruby has it."
"I have it?!" Ruby looks at her black box.
"Yeah. Looks like Epsilon gave you the key when we got transported to this new galaxy from some of the files Rick had when we were on the Halo ring."
Washington laughs, "Of course! That's something Epsilon would've done!"
"But that explains the real reason why we ended-up here." Blake states.
"And once we get there, our black boxes will get one hell of an upgrade. Anyone with them won't just spawn items. They can spawn planets, stars, asteroid belts. Entire fucking solar systems."
Everyone is completely stunned by this new revelation.
Caboose says, "I want to make a platypus. I want to name it, Perry."
In another section, Red Team and four former members of the White Fang (Adam, Sienna, Ilia and Ghira) are searching what appears to be some sort of cargo bay where they found all sorts of crates and boxes that are organized with different labels on them in galactic basic, the language of the Star Wars series. Simmons found a cargo with the Star Wars red sigil on it, which is the Star Wars version of the red cross.
"I think I found some medical supplies." Simmons is a bit unsure of what he found.
Adam checks on another crate and found an arsenal of E-11 blasters. "I got some guns here."
Sarge leans over, "Good find. You can never have too many weapons."
Grif opens another crate and found a whole stash of rations, "FOOD!" He yanks out a bag, "Some jerky, yes!"
Ghira pass by him, "Save it."
Simmons then says, "Do you have any idea what kind of Star Wars creature that jerky is from? Or how old that is?"
Grif looks at the pack of jerky and starts to second guess. So insert JoJo's Bizarre Adventures rumble kanji here as he looks at the pack.
"Fuck it. I'm keeping it."
"Bet you can eat just about anything, you fat-ass."
"Hey! What's wrong with alien jerky?"
Simmons look at the four Faunus, "Uhhh..."
"Don't. Ruin it."
Ilia then opens another crate and found a whole bunch of data-tapes.
"The hell?" she pulls one out. "Is this some kind of space vhs tape or something?"
Donut looks at it, "Don't know, but you gotta love the retro-futurism."
Ilia looks back at the data-tapes, "What's retro-futurism?"
Sienna opens a more larger crate and found a deactivated R5 unit. Although she has no idea what it is.
"What is this, a mobile garbage can?"
"That is a R5 series astromech droid." Lopez explains. "According to my database," looks at Simmons and yells, "BECAUSE OF SOMEONE," "looks back at Sienna and speaks normally, "the R5 series was a more cut-price version of the more efficient R2 units. But they are prone to malfunction, be defective and known for having bad attitudes."
"So it is a garbage can." She looks back at it, "But what is an astromech?"
"A repair bot." he simplifies
"Oh."
Sanchez checks some of the other crates, "There is so much stuff here. I know this station is nearly the size of a moon, but damn. This is enough material to last for five centuries if all cargo bays are like this."
Then he looked at one part of the cargo bay and finds a fleet of swoop bikes of different types.
"Nice." Sanchez admires the swoop bikes.
"HEY EVERYONE!" Ruby shouts on everyone's radios.
Everyone is now in pain from Ruby's loud shriek as they cover their ears.
Simmons radios, "Voice volume, Ruby. Voice volume."
"Sorry. But you guys need to hear this."
AN: What up everyone? Hope you enjoy this new chapter. Not only that, I hope you guys will check out my new series, Punk'd Up. Hope you enjoy. Later!
