Chapter 17
Mewtwo growled in complete rage and confusion as his headache made him lose control of the unknown power inside of him. He ignored Mystique as she tried to talk to him as the power raged, destroyed both of their camouflage forms, and destroyed a part of the home but he glared directly at Albus as the man stood there in shock and what looked like disbelief. Slowly, Mewtwo noticed the power becoming less and looked at Mystique as he felt a move from her being used. "Calm Mind huh?" He asked her.
"You needed it and it did work at least." Mystique said. "What was that anyway?"
Mewtwo glanced at her before nodding at Albus. "He will know as I do not." Mewtwo slowly got up with Mystique's help and they walked to the now destroyed home. "I apologize Delia, I did not mean to let this happen." Mewtwo said once he was by the others.
"It's okay MT. I meant to renovate anyway." Delia said with a small smile.
Albus cleared his throat before saying, "I can fix the home if you would like Ma'am."
"No thank you sir," Delia said a little sternly but relaxed as she saw that Albus was truly regretful. "I just need to get some friends and this will be as good as before if not better!"
"You," Mewtwo said to Albus. "What do you know of this power? And why do I have it?"
Albus looked at Mewtwo and waved his wand again, clearing most of the debris so they can talk more in the still standing room. "I am unsure if you know this, but you were the boy I was searching for."
"And how do you know it is me?" Mewtwo asked settling into the chair that surprisingly was still in its same spot despite the explosion. "You know not of what or who I am."
"I found out about you through a friend who knew the man that made you into what you are now. He drew pictures of you as you developed and grew before sending it to his friend and though there were letters accompanying the drawings, his friend burned them to not let any information about you get into the wrong hands. One of these drawings showed you as you are now perfectly."
"Why would he risk sending something to this friend?" Mystique asked. "It could have been intercepted and found out that way."
"I cannot answer that but the drawings had consistent dates and details during the years that Mewtwo was there." Albus lowered his head a bit. "While I understand what happened was long ago, I still feel an obligation to show you where you came from, who your parents were, and to help you with your magic."
"Magic?" Mew said as she put the disguises back on Mewtwo and Mystique to prevent humans from seeing them from the huge gap in the side of the house. "Is that what this power is called?"
"It is." Albus confirmed. "May I ask why you have been changed?"
"Human's aren't always understanding when it comes to rare Pokémon." Ash said. "I actually met MT during a tournament he held. He wanted to actually test humans to see if we were trustworthy."
"You held a tournament?" Mystique and Albus asked at the same time at Mewtwo who turned his head away.
"It worked in my favor." Was all Mewtwo said at their question. "I fail to see the relevance of this situation to me being this boy you spoke of though."
"I wish there was an easy way to prove to you that you are this boy but there is a word that may be able to prove my truthfulness as well." Albus said gaining everyone's attention. "It is not a word I like but the letters and your relatives in my world referred you to this instead of your name."
Mewtwo's eyes narrowed as he mentally prepared for this one word as there was only one that he hated with a passion and his father had told him why many times in the tapes he had watched why the word was so hated by him. "Go on human." He said lowly.
Albus looked at Fawkes in worry at what the reaction would be but took in a breath before saying, "Freak."
Mewtwo growled as his eyes glowed with power but he restrained himself the best he could to prevent himself from transforming back into his original form as Mystique said, "That word is hated by myself as well. I think anyone would have a hate for it." She narrowed her own eyes at Albus.
"I do apologize for saying it."
"No," Mewtwo said standing up. "Do not apologize for trying to show me the truth." Everyone looked at him in shock. "That word does indeed prove that he is truthful in saying that I am this boy. You have seen the process fully Ash. You and Pikachu along with Mew have seen the recordings of my transformation into what I am today."
Ash nodded as Mew huffed at Mewtwo. "You used my name." She pouted as she saw Fawkes almost fall over in his shock at being near one of the original top legendary Pokémon without realizing before bowing slightly at her, Mystique, and Mewtwo. Mewtwo and Mystique blinked at Fawkes' reaction and looked at Mew in question. "Mew's were one of the first Pokémon that Arceus created so therefore we are sort of like royalty in the Pokémon world. I just don't acknowledge it." She huffed.
"So, you all are royal Pokémon while Fawkes is just a legendary?" Delia asked with a tilted head.
"Aren't you still technically legendary Pokémon though?" Ash asked.
Mew shook her head. "While humans say we are legendary, Arceus actually counts us as a type called the Origin Pokémon. He may have been the creator of all Pokémon, Mew's are the ancestor of all Pokémon and actually are above Arceus in the court but we don't really see the responsibility so Arceus is the ruler."
"That sounds confusing." Ash said holding his head.
"It definitely can be which is why I don't care or acknowledge it. Just easier for Arceus to take on the role of 'god' and pretend to forget we Mew's are his creator though he will acknowledge us if there is a dire need for it." Mew shrugged panting slightly.
"Rest Mew." Mewtwo ordered. "We have gotten off topic."
"Indeed we have." Albus said. "May I ask what recordings you speak of? I know it is none of my business but I was under the impression that you did not fully know who you were."
Mewtwo sighed. "They are the recordings of each day I was in the lab of my creation. I may not remember but those recordings do not lie of who and what I was before I had broken free from my confinement with the help of my pseudo father figure."
Albus nodded his head in understanding. "I do need to ask though," he said looking at Mewtwo, bracing himself for this question he had wanted to ask for years. "Would you like to learn about the world you were originally from and learn about magic and your parents?"
Mewtwo rested his head upon his paw as it leaned on the arm of the chair. "I had discussed it in the past with the others. I would mainly go to just stay my curiosity about where I originally came from to be fully honest. I have to real desire to stay but this power you call magic is becoming a hinderance to the ones I consider friends."
"Mewtwo…" Ash and Delia whispered.
Mewtwo glanced over at them before returning his attention to Albus focusing on him for a few minutes. "I will go if you agree to certain conditions." Mewtwo put his paw into his lap and leaned forward a bit resting both his arms on his knees. "Only with these conditions will I agree to go."
Albus nodded. "Of course." He said.
"I will be taking Ash, Mew, Mystique, and his other Pokémon with me." Mewtwo said with narrowed eyes. "I will also not be treated as a dumb creature as humans tend to treat us like one and if one does I have the right to show them why I am not. I will not go to the ones who made me appear in this world in the first place. I will be in my original form as I have no need to hide from corrupt people that want to capture me for laboratory and slave purposes. Finally, I will return to this world anytime I feel as is needed."
Albus thought over what Mewtwo had said and nodded. "I will agree to those though returning here anytime might need looked into as Fawkes can only teleport in between worlds every few months."
Mewtwo nodded. "If needed, I will figure out a solution for teleportation at a later date."
"I have a question," Ash said. "If you guys arrived here, how long will it be until you are able to go back?"
Fawkes sweat dropped as he looked at Albus. "We actually just arrived here recently so we have about 4 months left until we can teleport back."
"Four months?" Delia asked before she looked at Fawkes. "Why can't you just have a fellow Pokémon use recover when you teleport?"
Everyone was silent as Fawkes shuffled his feet in even more embarrassment before he answered in which Mew giggled. "He did not think of that solution as he had no need to actually return to and from here often." Mewtwo said in interpretation before looking at Albus again. "My question to you, human, is how you will explain to your world what Mystique and I am. I doubt you have Pokémon in your world and as such, no records of us would be found in any record you have."
"I will be telling the ministry that it is an accidental magic mixed with the animagus form and it is impossible to fix without severe ramifications to you." Albus said. "Your companion will likely be the same story and a little fib here and there will help make it believable enough that no one will look deeper into it."
"What about Mew and Pikachu then?" Ash said.
"A permanent transfiguration spell gone awry on a mouse and a kitten." Albus chuckled. "They look like those animals enough that it should not warrant any investigating either."
"I still do not understand why you came here for Mewtwo just because of your need to apologize to him and show him this so called magic." Mystique said. "What if you came and he did not have this magic and wanted to be just left alone not wanting to know anything from the world he came from? You seem almost desperate coming here and searching for the child who disappeared with no knowledge of anything here."
Albus was slightly confused. "I do assure you that is the reason I did come here. I would have respected his decision if he did not wish to know anything. It was purely by luck and chance meetings that I knew how to find him in the first place when I arrived. The only other reason I might of had to come was to warn him of potential danger trying to find him from the organization that killed his family."
"Why would they try to find me?" Mewtwo asked. "I am sure I am not the only one who's biological family was targeted by this organization you speak of so I do not understand why they are specifically after me."
Albus winced at Mewtwo's question. "It is due to a prophecy that was told to the leader. He took this as a sign to kill those who were potentially involved in this prophecy. He targeted one other family before you though he did not go there himself and instead had his most devoted follower go in his stead while he went to your family personally."
"What happened to the other targeted family?" Mystique asked.
"They all survived the attack but the parents were unfortunately sent to our hospital while their son went to live with his grandmother. His parents do not have the awareness of their world anymore due to the attack all those years ago and require daily care to get by."
"I gather it is because of the failure of this other family's attack and the semi-success of mine that I am the one to fulfill the prophecy?" Mewtwo surmised.
"It can be seen that way. I do not fully know as I am still working out the meaning fully." Albus said looking regretful. "I just fear that the organization will somehow find their way to this world to find you in order to get rid of their biggest threat to their leader."
"They would go that far just to make this prophecy fail?" Delia asked in concern.
"They would." Albus said with finality in his tone. "By the way, how old are you Ash?"
Ash blinked before saying, "I'm almost 11."
"That's good as it is the perfect age to go to my school. Any older and I would have to pull a few strings to explain why a transfer is coming to Hogwarts." Albus smiled. "If you would prefer, we can leave a bit earlier just so you can get used to my world as you will be staying there for a few months each year."
"But I have to heal before traveling anywhere." Ash deadpanned as he glared at his leg.
"Ah, but that is a great thing about magic my boy." Albus chuckled wholeheartedly. "It can heal and fix things almost instantaneously."
"Really?!" Ash exclaimed with a huge smile. "You can heal my ankle?!"
"I can but I would like to have permission from your mother first before I use the spell." Albus looked at Delia who looked hesitant but nodded.
"Very well but just be careful." She said.
Albus stood and went over to Ash bending down over his cast and taking out his wand. "Diffindo." Instantly the cast was split apart and Albus gently removed the cast before pointing his wand closely at Ash's ankle and saying, "Brackium Emendo." And after a soft glow, Albus smiled. "There you go but you should still take it easy for the next day or so."
Ash stood and took a careful step before smiling at the lack of pain or discomfort that was there when the cast was on. "That's amazing!" He said smiling making almost everyone in the ruined room smile.
"What was that you did?" Mewtwo asked with curiosity.
"The first spell was a carefully placed severing charm and the second was a concentrated healing spell though both can have consequences if they are used wrongly."
"I can guess what this severing charm can do if used wrong but what of the healing spell?" Mystique asked.
"The healing charm, if said wrong or not concentrated on a singular area, can vanish entire bones with no damage to the body. I once had a student who tried healing her friend's quidditch injury from a fall and accidentally vanished the bones in her friends whole leg." Ash gulped at Albus' explanation before quickly sitting and checking his ankle for any missing bones. "I can assure you that I did not vanish any bones in your ankle my boy." Albus chuckled. "I have years more experience in spell work than the students in my school plus if ever a thing were to happen, we have potions to help any mishaps that do happen."
Ash sighed with relief. "That's good."
"May I ask another question?" Delia said looking at Albus as he straightened up from his bending position.
"Of course." Albus said.
"This school, I am sure one needs this magic to enter but Ash does not have magic so how would he be able to enter?"
Fawkes chirped at Delia before Albus could answer and Mewtwo translated, "Fawkes says that Ash has some energy in him and while it isn't magic per say, he can probably do certain spells to help him pass as a wizard albeit a very mediocre one."
Albus stroked his beard and looked at his wand before extending it to Ash handle first. "This is not a true match to you I would not think but it should tell you if you can receive a wand from our wand maker." Ash looked at the wooden wand before taking it cautiously into his hand and to his surprise, blue and green sparks shot out of the tip of the wand making him accidentally drop it. "That is a curious energy but it should do enough to get you your own wand." Albus said picking his wand up.
Ash looked at his mom who smiled at him. "I know I want to become a Pokémon Master mom but…" Ash started to say but trailed off looking at Mewtwo.
"I understand Ash." Delia said. "Helping a friend in a situation was something you could never ignore and this is one of those situations."
"I'll just have to make up for lost time in the summers when I come home. I'm sure that I'll still be a Pokémon Master, it just wont be as fast as I thought it would be."
Fawkes was suddenly surrounded by a bright light before it faded and a undisguised Mew looked proud of herself as she said, "Heal has been done!" Everyone sweat-dropped at her eagerness as she zipped around in excitement before Mewtwo caught her in a psychic hold.
"Calm down Mew." He said with slight amusement in his tone. "I still need to make sure we are all prepared and Ash had to inform his other Pokémon what he will be doing and why they are staying at Professor Oak's lab until summer."
Mew pouted but calmed down enough to have Mewtwo let go of his hold of her. "Plus I need to give Ash some money from the bank so he can splurge a bit." Delia added.
"Unfortunately," Albus interjected. "Money from this world will not likely to be recognized as currency in our world."
"So how will Ash be able to get souvenirs to bring back?" Delia huffed in slight frustration. "I want my baby to at least have fun and keep things from that world."
"He will." Albus reassured. "All students that are at Hogwarts have a school vault they can use to spend on trinkets and fun items."
"You said that you were close to his parents correct?" Mystique said to Albus.
"Yes."
"Then why were you not aware of the relatives hatred?" Mystique asked. "Surely his parents had a will or something to place him elsewhere if they had any suspicion of their hatred."
"Lily, Mewtwo's mother, only said she did not get along with her sister but we never knew the level of hatred Petunia actually harbored towards Lily. For someone to treat a child in the way Petunia and her husband did is unimaginable towards magical beings like myself. We cherish children and only a remote few try to actively harm or kill children as a whole due to how rare they are becoming in our society. I never heard of a will being executed but the bank and the solicitor that the Potters would have hired should have alerted anyone if they did have a will. Sending a child to the next living relatives is usual in our world and in Mewtwo's case it was even more important due to the wards that I placed there to help hide him from the organization."
"How do you know of these wills?" Mewtwo asked Mystique curiously.
"I read." She deadpanned at Mewtwo with a glare. "You should do it sometime."
Mewtwo just rolled his eyes at her sassy comeback.
Albus looked at Mystique and asked, "I was told that Mewtwo was the one I was looking for but I know for a fact that only a child from my world would be the only person that could endure this gruesome transformation so do you remember anything on how you got here?"
Mystique's eyes narrowed dangerously. "Unfortunately I do not but I had no pseudo parental figure that Mewtwo had so I had no way to keep track of my past in any way." She growled though there was a slight undertone in her voice that warned Albus not to delve deeper. "I also do not find myself wanting to know of my past as it is unnecessary for my future."
"Very well," Albus conceded. "But I shall think that once at the welcoming feast, we all shall know who you could be."
Mystique nodded. "Then that is what shall happen."
