Sasha drove back to her house which was a modest but not a super fancy home in her town near the rural area. She never wanted anything super fancy when moving out of her parent's old mansion with the money that she inherited. But Sasha hoped with her new distressed friend in her car she can try and snap him out of his depressed manner.

She stopped the car in her garage and got out to bring her gargoyle inside. The poor thing was still cowered on the floor, not even looking up, and had hated the bumps on the ride back. Sasha sighed slightly and placed a gentle hand on the gargoyle, who jerked up, eyes rounded then settled slightly at his new mistress.

"Well… we're home," Sasha said with a little smile. "You want to come out?" Brooklyn remained put there, so stiff and shaking. He wouldn't go anywhere. Sasha frowned slightly but wouldn't dare use the shock collar. She brought out one of her snacks she had; an energy bar. "C'mon, big guy. My house is safe. You're away from those awful poachers. I want to help. Please, come inside," Sasha pleaded in desperation. Brook sniffed the energy bar, and his belly growled at the idea of eating real food for once. Perhaps it wouldn't be too bad.

Gingerly, he sat up, and placed his foot on the floor, hitching up slightly but eventually got used to it. Sasha kept on giving soft encouraging words, and also smiling until eventually she opened the door to the house. Brooklyn stared in fear at the sight of the house and, looking back once at his mistress, suddenly made a break for it and went to hide inside away from her.

"Wait! Calm down!" Sasha called out, running after him but he wouldn't listen. Sasha knew the only way her gargoyle would settle down is if she took off the cuffs, muzzle and collar. She had to find him.

Brooklyn ran as fast as he could in the house, ears flat and feeling like he was locked in the coffin again. He wound up knocking over a chair while running and eventually found a corner in the living room that was near her kitchen too, laying there and panting. But when he heard Sasha coming for him, Brooklyn instantly curled up, not wanting his mistress to suddenly change how she felt toward him and give him harm.

Sasha finally found her gargoyle who was lying curled up in a corner of her living room. Her face fell in pity for the poor creature, carefully walking close, and kneeling. He was just so jumpy and frightened.

She then spoke, trying to use gentle words again. "It's ok. I promise, I'm not your enemy. I can take off your muzzle and collar so I can give you the proper food. Is that ok?" Brook peeked out at her, looking wary and mistrustful. "Would you like to start with water?" Sasha asked. Brook looked down, mouth so dry. He couldn't say no. He gave a timid nod.

The girl gave a smile then carefully moved closer to remove the muzzle. Brooklyn did his best to be still, trembling while Sasha used the key Yegor gave her that locked both the muzzle and collar. She undid the muzzle first so he could breathe. Brooklyn's eyes widened and his breath hitched when feeling the muzzle come off his face for good. He gave a big breath of air through his mouth once again.

Next was the collar. Sasha used the key once more to undo it until there was a small click, and she finally took the horrible thing off. Brooklyn shut his eyes upon feeling the collar be taken off his neck, as well as the cuffs on his hands and chains on his wings. He was now free.

Brook continued to watch timidly after his restraints were removed, rubbing his jaw muscles again and neck too which felt sore while Sasha went to get him water. She came back with a small glass to start and handed it to him. Brooklyn eyed the water then shakily took it, going to take a small sip of it. It was fresher than the water those poachers gave him.

"Th-thank you… Mistress…" Brooklyn said croakily, speaking again after so many weeks. Sasha shook her head, realizing that Yegor probably told Brooklyn to call her that title. "Don't call me that, friend, whatever your name is. I bought you to set you free. Until you're healed you'll be able to go home. Do you have a name?" Sasha asked. Brooklyn held his legs, afraid of telling more strangers his name after Yegor. But Sasha had been nothing but nice to him since their first meeting. So he figured he could give her an exception.

Swallowing he spoke again. "They… call me Brooklyn," He said softly. Sasha smiled. "It's a nice name. You can call me Sasha instead of Mistress," She introduced, holding out her hand. Brooklyn clenched up a little but then willingly placed his hand into hers. His skin still felt quite chilled, and she knew she had to eventually turn on her fake fireplace so he could warm himself.

"M-may I e-eat?" Brooklyn asked timidly when finding himself staring at the kitchen. He hoped to eat real food again before turning to stone. Sasha beamed. "Oh, of course! But, would you want to start with something soft, and maybe sit on the couch? I'm sure you wouldn't want to stay in this corner," She then offered. Brooklyn pressed back into his corner at the idea of even sitting on a couch, but then saw it. It looked rather inviting. A small little sign of a smile perked his beak. "Al-right," He mumbled like he was a shy little kid. Sasha helped the weak Brooklyn to his feet which wobbled a little but managed to get him to the couch.

Brooklyn felt so over exhausted, and the couch felt so nice. Sasha had him lie down on her couch that was just about the right size, Sasha having placed a wooly blanket over him. He was still shaking slightly but not as much as before. Sasha then stroked his head. He looked at her weakly. "I'll be right back with your soup," She stated in an assuring tone. Brook just gave a weak groan and just lay there for a while. His whole ordeal back there had really knocked him up.

But he suddenly saw his tail a few minutes later and felt tears coming down again, wondering how ever will he get his tail fixed. It just didn't look right anymore. He wanted to get even with those men that deformed him! Smell of the soup wafted through the air then, and Brooklyn turned to see his rescuer bring in a tray of soup.

"Here, chicken noodle," Sasha handed the bowl to Brooklyn who took it weakly, taking up the spoon shakily then being able to spoon it into his mouth. He closed his eyes. It was heavenly after that horrible slop stuff! The gargoyle began to eat more, not caring that it was kind of hot. He was still too cold from the outdoors to let that bother him. Sasha giggled slightly from watching him eat quickly.

She took the bowl back after he couldn't eat any more. "Was… good," the beaked male praised with a shy smile. Sasha stroked his cheek gently like how she would a child. After all that those men put him through he literally behaved like one still. "Soon it'll be sunrise, Brooklyn. But I'll be with you when you turn," She offered. Brooklyn nodded from the offer. "K." He mumbled wearily, now seeing the dawn coming. He closed his eyes to sleep until he turned.

After another few minutes Sasha saw the sun come and eventually she heard the crackling noise and saw him now in his statued form, asleep. Giving a yawn after that whole ordeal Sasha knew she had to sleep too after taking the blanket off of him for the day.
