Chapter 12-Hogwarts Toad problem
After arriving at Hogwarts, Harry and Hermione helped Hagrid to direct the first years to the boats and then headed for the carriages, before heading for the school. Once at the school, Harry and Hermione joined their friends, at Gryffindor table as the reinstated deputy Headmaster: Filius Flitwit joined the Great Hall, followed by the new first year students and once the little professor brought all the new students to the front of the hall, so they were standing in front of the table, Filius then explained the sorting ceremony to them and then started the called the names. While the sorting was happening, Harry noticed a new professor sitting up at the head table, her face was toad like in appearance and she was wrapped in the most horrible florescent pink cardigan, while her toad like face was wearing a god awful scowl, which Harry could tell that she was not hired to do the job she wished to.
After the final student was sorted, the Headmistress: Professor McGonagall stood from her chair and approached the dais. Once she approached the dais, McGonagall began her start of term speech, introducing the new Professor of History: Professor Delores Umbridge, which was when the toad like woman stood up and bowed, but as she went to interrupted, the Headmistress cut her off at the knees and continued her introductions with the replacement Potion Professor, introducing Potion Mistress Lily Potter as the new Professor, before she declared, "Let the feast begin," then moved to take her seat at the now full table of food.
When the food appeared on the table, Dolores knew she had lost her chance at addressing the school, because: 1 they were now eating and would not listen, and 2 even if they do finish their dinner in a reasonable time frame, she knew they'd be to tired to listen, so with that she resigned to announce her speech during their breakfast the next day, or if that is not possible during the classes she'll be teaching. As the dinner went on in full swing, Harry reminest on the events of the previous summer, with how Minister Fudge had blatantly disregarded the word of a god, out of fear and paranoia Minister Fudge had said, "You-Know-Who is dead and will never return," before leaving the room.
After Harry stopped thinking of the summer just gone and returned to the present, where the Gryffindor house table was, now filling itself with the dessert items that the house elves had made and was soon consumed by the students. 2 hours later, after the students were sent to bed and the tables were cleaned, in the office of the History of Magic Professor: Delores Jane Umbridge sat in an over priced chair (for the position she held) reading over her letter she was sending to the minister, which explained her distaste of him for been unable to secure her the position of: Defense Professor, due to the return of whom she still believed to be a Werewolf, while also expressing how little in the way her current position would affect the way that Harry Potter, could recruit his army.
(A.N. With no Dumbledore to give Fudge the paranoia of been taken over, who else would he believe would take over?)
Meanwhile in the manor of the 'respected,' noble family of: Malfoy, Voldemort sat upon his throne, ironically reading the days Daily Prophet, while laughing inwardly at the stupidity of Minster Fudge and why was he laughing, well Voldemort was laughing because: Fudge would not believe the word of a God and powerful (but not as powerful as himself) God, about his return and then went threw the process of making laws and regulations that would benefit himself and the cause of the pureblooded elites, while also setting the blame of his captures on the innocent criminal Sirius Black, whom of which has most of the power and resources he needed for his plans: the Black Family vault and its fortune.
Now back at the school known as Hogwarts, as Harry and the rest of the Gryffindor house students finally hit the sack hard (seeing as some of them were celebrating the fact that their were no parents, ergo there were no curfews. But Harry and some of the others [many Hermione and Ginny] weren't able to sleep as they were being kept up and were not able to sleep). Though as Harry went to bed he had gotten the cold shoulder greeting several of his roommates and was kept up a little longer because of them, taking the mickey out of him and when Seamus said that his mother had called him a liar and that Harry word went nothing, before he was shut upped by Harry's glare, which Harry then replied, "Really, then answer me this, if I'm a liar? Then what does it make Raiden when he confirmed Voldemorts return hmm?" but he received no answer.
Now moving on to the morning, where Harry and Ginny got up with the sun and, started their morning exercisers of running around the lake, before heading for the showers and then to the Great Hall. After they arrived in the Great Hall, Harry and Ginny take their seats by their friend Hermione, whom in which had awoken half an hour after them and read her course books, before heading to the showers and then to the Great Hall, where Harry and Ginny joined her, while they waited for the house elves to serve them breakfast. It was at the 2 minute mark, when the food appeared on the table, by which time the three Gryffindors and the other less lazy students had then served themselves a large helping of their favourite breakfast items and ate.
Then as breakfast went into full swing for the early risers, the lazy students now descended upon their house tables (note the only lazy Ravenclaw students are the first years, seeing as it is their first day in the castle), which didn't of course include youngest Weasley male: Ronald Weasley (as he is always awoken by: Hermione, whom stopped the year before when Harry's name was chosen by the Goblet of Fire) and then came the final run of Gryffindor students, all of which were made up of the main bulk of the laziest and least motivated students, which basically means that Ron had finally got his backside out of bed and headed for the Great Hall, clearly not even showering as he reached the Hall still in his P.J.'s
After losing 70 house points, Ron was then sent back to his dormroom to shower and change, before he was sent to the kitchens and had the elves feed him there, seeing as Breakfast was finished when he had returned. During the several minutes before Ron returned, Professor Lupin had went down Gryffindor table handing out the class time tables to the students, pausing only to give Harry Ron's schedule and then sent them off to their first classes of the day.
Once Harry, Ginny and Hermione were finished with their breakfast, they then decided since their first period and it was free, to head for the library via the kitchens. After meeting and separating from Ron (who headed back to the common room and played chess), Harry and the others headed for their destination: the Library, where they continued to read up on their courses for their years. During the course of their studies, Harry, Ginny and Hermione were joined by their friends from Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff, all of whom had the goal of doing well in their studies and allow themselves to get an appropriate job. While in the History Professor Office, Delores Umbridge paced furiously across the length of her office, grumbling, 'Insufferable Minevra,' and muttering, 'I can't stop Potters army if I am the history Professor,' as she then began to wear a trench into the floor.
Outside of Hogwarts, Raiden, the Defenders of Earthrelm and the Order of the Phoenix, had been taking the steps to ensure the safety of the earth and removed it from Voldemorts clutches, of it was slow going and all they've been able to do is destroy the prophecy for its own protection, with the deed done by: Raiden himself. While the Order was also trying to recruit, but that had a lot of snags, most of which were because they didn't have Dumbledores presents or his silver tongue to persuade the stubborn and not believing Raiden had the authority to lead them to battle (Yeah they don't realize that he is a god).
Time Skip to the end of their Free Period:
Now outside the 5th year charms class, Harry and Hermione were joined by: Neville Longbottom and Dean Thomas, for the Gryffindor boys and Lavender and Pavarti from the girls, before they were joined by the full compliment of Ravenclaw 5th years, where all the forementioned students then waited for Professor Flitwick to invite them in and get started on the lesson. Yielding results several minutes latter, as the tiny Professor squeaked, "You may come in and take your seats," prompting the start of the class, as the students began to fill up the seats, save one which was in between 2 guys from Ravenclaw. Ignoring Rons tardiness, Filius began the lesson with asking the students, "All class, first I must have you reading your textbooks, so please turn to page 9 and read the whole chapter," doing as the professor asked, the students of Gryffindor and Ravenclaw flipped to the page and started to read: [chapter 3: alarm charms.]
But back in Gryffindor tower, where the sounds of snoring reached the ears of whomever came close to the entrance of the dorms, as Ron was sleeping after a 2 hour long chess match.
