Hey, just wanted to adress a little something before getting into the story. I know that for this to be following the plotline of the manga can be predicatable, and I fully accept the critism that it could be a little more creative, I've been having a blast writing the story as is with my Co-authoer. From the running gags to how Izuku grows and effects the situation. I admit that the main point of the story is to show off how Izuku would respond and react to the situation than anything out. But rest assure that when Izuku goes into his second year, MAJOR changes and original ideas will be spilling out all over the place. It's a slow burn, and I understand those that can't get behind it, but me and Hazzard are working hard to make this a enjoyable story. With that out of the way, please enjoy

"Alright folks, Gontetsu is back from his heart attack, how are you feeling my good sir?" He asked the man with the exact amount of pep needed for this amazing event.

"More rejuvenated than any coma could give a demon." The guy was a weirdo but his dedication was something else. "We're witnessing history. The spirit of pride vs the spirit of greed. There's no doubt about that today."

"You've got that right, after all, this next competition will allow them to go head to head instead of focusing on just being first. The Cavalry Battle! Let's look at these formations, the girls each giving their cuteness to their captain, the most adorable of Demdolls. Because of this, the rider is tasked with the most points. After this event, only the top four Demdoll teams will be allowed to enter the final music show off." Machara explained.

"But here comes the question, can they manage to keep that cuteness while lifting each other in a perfect formation? Or will the stress crumble on them?" Gontetsu asked the crowd. "And these Demdolls looked determined. Even if they don't manage first, they'll all be gunning to get into the final contest at the very least. A showdown for ages to come."

"There's no doubt about it. The question now is, which crowd favorite will win? The punk style team Killer Tune with the rocking cool idol Gyari, or Team Devimuse with the sparkling sensation Kuromu and the Cute Quintet!? I've never seen so many demdols in a single team fighting for the spotlight all at once! It's hard to tell which one of Team Devimuse shines more brightly!"

Nenette kept her eye on everyone. Her strategy was a sound one, grab every low point armband she could and avoid the ever living hell out of Devimuse and Killer Tune if she wanted to make it to the final four. She was confident enough in her team's skills against the others but … there was being good and there was being monsters.

"You know, I really thought you would be a lot heavier." She could hear Lily speak up from her spot, holding Kuromu.

"I promised to not tell Elizabetta, but I will still stab you with an icicle and make you a real woman if you don't rectify what you just said."

"You're very light on your feet." Lily spoke without hesitation.

"You think living with a gold-digger sister would've taught you about asking a lady about their weight." Eillia sent the girl a smirk.

"Hey, she sits on me and says I'd never be able to move her heavy self off when she feels like being a lazy jerk, so bite me." They grumbled. "So we're all good, powerhousing our way into the front without hesitation?"

"That's the idea at least." Izumi explained. "With Eilla taking most of the strain off of us, I'm free to use fractal to lighten our weight, that way she can dash ahead with no restraint. I've seen a lot of Cavalry Battles before, the best strategy is to get enough points to guarantee your spot, before going after the biggest targets."

So they were going with the spearhead strategy, a bold move, but futile, the sheer speed required to make it practical against so many Demdolls was … hard to … shit. "Get us out of here, move closer to the edge." She pleaded with the girls holding her up. "We're in the danger zone right now."

"Why?" Her team asked, and it was that single moment of hesitation that guaranteed they wouldn't be getting first in this event.

"STAR...!" Before the referee could even finish, EiIlia, the winner of the running race, dash ahead, making herself and the rest of her time nothing but blurs in the wind. "OH MY DEVI! It seems Eillia has managed to grab fifteen armbands!" And one of those was hers … nice. "And Gyari's gang has managed to grab ten, and is now on approach to Kuromu! The showdown is in action folks, don't leave those seats!" Alright, now they really had to struggle for that fourth place.

Kuromu sat on top of everyone else as her rival, Gyari, approached them. "Kuromu, i'm glad, you've gotten enough points neither one of us has to worry about not joining the next event …" She grinned savagely. "That means it's just us in an intimate … closed … ring." She could feel her heart thump.

"Don't falter now, Kuromu! Save whatever rivalry you have between you for the next event!" Eillia shook her. "Engaging Gyari right now is only going to hinder our progress!"

"I was always the hero of this story!" Gyari shouted as she raised her hands in the air. "That's what I always believed! I was born a star, I could get everything I ever wanted! I could grab who I wanted and do whatever I wanted with what I had!"

"Do you mind getting to the point, every sentence of your idea of a 'hero' is making me want to vomit more and more." Izumi spoke with a twitch. Don't ruin the mood.

"The point is … I wanted you more than anything! A sparkling star that shined as bright as me, but then you said I needed to be better than you if we were going to marry! So I trained with you, every day, learning so much! You like to extend your pinky on wide arcs, your favorite flower is a white rose, you sing so cutely that even birds nod their heads!" She shouted. "But then you kicked ...me out, saying that I couldn't grow in the same agency." Gyari paused, clenching her hands.

"Wow, that's a lot to take in." Lily spoke in a low voice. "And I thought friendship was complicated enough."

"I'm gonna be honest, I'm kinda caught up in this now." Eillia admitted, now resigned in a 'resting' position rather than an 'evasion' one.

"We had a promise! I was so close to catching up..and then you lept further away! Fine, I get it! If that's your answer…" The punk rocker shook, before revealing one of the biggest blushes she's ever seen. "..Then I'll just desire you even more! I'll catch up to you in the end, because I'm the main hero here!"

BADUMP! BADUMP! BADUMP!

She could feel her heart pound as her head spun. It was the most beautiful pair of eyes she's ever seen, so full of shine and desire that her heart soared. She wanted desperately for her to chase her every day, to keep the pressure up and she felt incredible deep down.

"This is who I would've turned into if I never went to Bablys." Izumi started gagging. "Oh, I've never been more happy to have my soul sent to hell."

"... Are you insulting me?" Gyari asked with a head tilt. "... Lion, aim for the eyes while I take on Kuromu."

"Yes mam." And with that, the clash began. Ellia tried to get them away but there was no time to prepare for that, and it didn't help that the enemies were just as fast.

"Okay, fearing once again!" Izumi kept up the frontal defence with a shield engraved with stars. "Can you not try to maim me permanently?" He shouted, bashing the shield against claws.

"We won't kill you, that's all we can guarantee here."

"Lily, protect Izu! Sacrifice your tail if needed!" Eillia shouted at her partner.

"I'm focusing on the other woman trying to grab our bands, thank you very much!"

"Eillia, just..agh, just plow through them. You're like a living tank as it is." Kuromu ordered her main steed. "Just make sure you don't make them look too un-cute." She respected other demdol's efforts, no need to ruin progress.

"You won't have time to focus on orders!" Gyari reached and Kuromu moved, speeds of unbelievable proportion went into constantly snatching and deflecting bands and hands.

"Look at this clash in action folks! Yin and Yang clashing in an absolute flurry of cute and cool!" The announcer shouted as she tried to, but failed, stealing Gyari's band. She needed a distraction, something that could get their opponent's mind off the situation.

"Ku-Kuromu-chan! DO YOUR BEST!" Wrong opponent!

Chima could see how hard big sis was going, how much effort she put into it. Every sparkle that the TV she and the rest of the family watched couldn't catch. She never understood why her family didn't try to smile more when big sis put in so much effort to make others do so. That made big sis so sad. Someone making people happy shouldn't be sad.

But she was stuck on the sidelines with Clarine and the red patrol lady, she couldn't cheer well enough from there. How would her sister smile with encouragement otherwise? "Should we … get closer?" She asked Clarine.

"Yeah, get as close as possible! Make sure they hear your cheers!" Clarine was a wise woman. Of course! She needed to make sure her big sis and her team heard her. "Come on, let's go!"

"Not so fast, Valac. The competition is still going on." Red patrol lady grabbed Claraine by the shoulder. "Don't get them distracted with your usual antics."

"Aww, but Izumi-kins can do wonderful things whenever I cheer, they smile really bright and everything." Clarine argued with the mean lady.

"Well I want Izzy to smile too, but you can't distract them mid game, that'll ruin concentration clearly needed to avoid how harsh they're-they better not be taking out Izzy's eyes."

"Don't think just because you're 'going out', it means you know Izuku-kins more than I do. I'm his best friend!"

"Oh, I think I know Izzy-kun far more than you, I can assure you of that." The Mean Lady crossed her arms. "After all, I'm his GIRLFRIEND now."

"Yeah, so am I, his BEST girlfriend!" She shouted back … maybe Clarine wasn't as wise as she once thought.

"That doesn't-that's not how it works."

"In fact, I'm his best Girlnakama, so ha!" Clarine continued the argument.

"I'm nakama too, so don't think you have a lead here!"

"But just cause you're a Girlnamaka doesn't mean you're the best one!"

"I seriously doubt you even know what type of context you're trying to-Crocell no!" Chima was getting annoyed with Clarine and Red Patrol Lady, so she left while they argued. After all, she had to cheer them on. Big Sis's team was getting real close with Spiky Loud Lady, the same lady that made her big sis so upset. Big sis was going to be sad if she lost to Spikey Loud Lady, so she needed to cheer now!

"Ku-Kuromu-chan! DO YOUR BEST!" She shouted, getting right between the two teams, making them both stop at once, everyone was staring at her now.

"Chima what are you...no!" They tripped when Big Sis got tackled by the spiky lady, the entire team falling down on her. All she could do was watch wide eyed as the piles of bodies came to crush her.

"LOOK OUT!" A long black rope or something grabbed her from behind and pulled her out of the way. The next thing she knew, she was staring at the two groups, with someone taking the place of where she was standing before. "A-are you alr-alright?" Lily asked her, sweating and looking really tired from all the people on top of her now.

"... Yes." She could feel her face heat up, staring at the demon who just … saved her.

"Cool, that's nice. On a side note, everything hurts." She spoke. "I think something cracked. Yep, definite crack."

"Chima what were you thinking!?" Big sis started scolding her. "You could have gotten hurt or-"

"And that's time folks, Gyari has won the event, with Kuromu's headband added to the mix!" NO! This wasn't supposed to happen!

"I finally caught you." Spike Lady whispered in Big Sis's ear, and Chima could tell how much she hated it. Big Sis wasn't smiling anymore.

"Hey stupid, do you mind getting off us so we can actually stand, or are you too moronic to pick up directions to?" Izumi spoke up with a glare, buried in the pile as well. "Lily, are you doing okay?"

"No, like I said, I felt a crack." Lily tried to get up. "I don't think I can walk right now."

"I'm sorry!" She ran up to Lily, hugging her face as much as she could.

"No problem, I'm just glad you weren't hurt." So selfless … when Chima came to Babyls, she promised herself that this would be the one she would follow.

"Sorry Guys, I know that I shouldn't have moved, but seeing Kerori's sister in the middle of all that chaos when she should've been far away, I..I don't know, it..it's like.."

"Like your body moves on it's own." Izuku finished for Lied. "I've felt like that so many times before. I think this is the first time someone acted faster than me in this kind of situation." He patted their now injured friend. "You really do have the making of a hero Lied."

"Thanks, better a hero than a sidekick." The boy laughed. "Well I guess this means you're up, Clara."

"Yay, I get to play music!" She cheered.

"No, this..this isn't going to work." Kuromu said dreadfully. "If we had won the Cavalry battle, heck, if anyone else won, it would be fine, but Gyrai is choosing the genre, and she's going to pick rock like always. Clara's cuteness is going to put us at a disadvantage."

"I never thought I'd hear those words in this sort of context." Eiko said. "Lied, are you sure you can't at least stand? We can work around that if we need to." The boy simply stared at her while pointing at his leg bent in the completely wrong direction. The fact that they could find so many pain killers as it was, a pure miracle in hell.

Izuku looked at his hand, knowing there was a simple solution to this. "No." Ameri pouted, grabbing his arm. "This isn't a life or death situation, Izuku. Making yourself bleed for others everytime someone gets hurt is only going to be a hindrance for you in the future." She didn't bother with her nickname for him. She...she was right too.

"Yeah, it wasn't your fault Izuku-kins, it was little Kerorice's fault." Clara, don't be rude!

"I'm sorry guys." Chima spoke from her vegetable pile. "If I didn't get in the way … you would have won … and you wouldn't be in the situation … and Lily wouldn't be hurt." She began to cry. Lied reached his hand out.

"Don't worry, it's fine. Izuku here? He's dealt with much crazier odds before." Lied spoke with a grin. "I heard he got a djinn of almighty wisdom and trivia to give him a tree after giving it a romance story. And when a giant monster was going to destroy Walter park? He created a massive mechanical monster that ate the whole thing up. If this is just a rock and roll battle, he's got it in the bag." That was both lots of pressure and reassurance at the same time. He didn't know how he felt about Lied saying it. "And the leg is nothing, I've had numb feet before from sitting in bad positions. It's kinda like that, I just gotta not focus on it."

"Would...would it be better if I hugged you?" The little girl asked before doing so anyway. Aw, it must be nice to have a little sibling. Closest he had to that right now was the puppy Grandpa gave him. Adorable little guy.

"Okay then, it's strategy time again." Kuromu stated. "Like I said before, Gyari is a master at improvised rock." Wait a second.

"She improvises her songs? Like, on the spot? How can she get away with something like that?"

"She's never sung the same song twice, they're all unique and never heard again unless someone sneaks a recording." Lied spoke from within his hug. "Also she mixes up instruments, she can play anything as long as you can put an infinite amount of energy in it."

"Hm...hey Kuromu, have you ever heard of a remix before?" Izuku's brain suddenly sprung an idea. "You don't have to change your music, we just have to put a different spin on it."

"Yeah, we have remixes. But to do that we need something better than just pure rock." She spoke. "We'll need to mix rock and cute in a transition type style … maybe a dress change using darker colors like black, no purple would be better. Then we bring in Cherushille and have the colors 'melt' into pure cuteness, an unexpected happy heart."

"Using the Contrast to add to the charm!" Lied shouted. "Brilliant. Only problem, like you said, is how can we make Clarine mix into that. That face is kinda hard to match with punk coolness, no offense."

"I can be cool! I've got lots of ice!" Well at least Clara was trying. There has to be something else that they could do here. They needed to go plus ultra if they were going to save Kerori from her quite frankly horrible life choices with people.

And then he got an idea, a very crazy, stupid idea. "Everyone in here can clearly be trusted, given nobody has spilled the dress thing." Izuku started, looking at his ring. "Come on out Lizzy."

"Really, now of all times is when you decide to start sharing all your secrets?" Lizzy came out, annoyed but willing.

"You're the one that told me to never mention you to anyone, ever."

"Touche, but I thought you would have told Ameri after the whole Walter Park thing." True, she was the one that looked the least frightened or surprised.

"It just never came up afterwards."

"Izuku … your ring is alive." Lied started.

"Yeah...this is Lizzy, she's basically an instruction guide for the ring."

"Wow, way to put down a girl. I feel so destroyed." Lizzy acted out with a cartoon shattering effect.

"Honestly I shouldn't even be surprised there's a woman inside of your ring." Kerori apparently took this in stride.

"Get your mind out of the gutter, she's a helpful nuisance almost on a daily basis, but one I can trust...for the most part."

"Absolutely, we take secrets to the grave, ya know? Our existence is tied with life and death!" And there she was being a drama queen.

"I have a favor to ask … Bring out Deku."
