She didn't show up … Gyari wasn't there on stage, and she couldn't gauge the longing look on that woman's face if she didn't show. What the hell! Where was she? "It seems only one of the MVE has arrived … do you think she got sick?" No, morons didn't get sick.
"Well we have a show to get back to, and now, to announce the winner of the Demdoll Games!" The first announcer said, moving everything along, leaving Kuromu all by herself on stage. It felt … lonely.
"You've got this in the bag!" Well, a little lonely, at least her team was there to support her.
"Yes, the winner who's cuteness sparkled through even the most difficult of situations is undoubtedly this team." Gontetsu started as the tension built. "The girls who shined the brightest without any argument are … Team Kuromu of the Devimuse Agency!" The crowd went wild.
"Eh, it was kinda inevitable by this point." Eillia shrugged off while giving a little wave to the crowd. "We only really had one other team to go Plus Ultra against."
"Well we have One For All and Kuromu on our side. Kind of hard to doubt anything when we have powerhouses like that." Lilly joined Eillia by her side in her wheelchair. "Though I guess having the Game Prince doesn't hurt your chances either."
"More like the Game Princess." Eillia deadpanned. "Also you lost both the events you were in, you know."
"Lilly did her best, she was super cool and everything." Chima argued.
"Looks like you got yourself a fan, Liedy-boy." Dekiru smirked, mostly ignoring the crowd. "Be careful, she might fall in love with you if you keep her so close like that." Don't put that image in Kerori's head, you dick. "So Ameri, where would you like to go afterwards, your place or mine? I'm sure there's plenty of fun we can have while I'm still like this."
"Dekiru for the love of Devi I'm not doing this with you, I'll only do it for Izzy." She complained.
"Aww, and I would have been willing to return the favor …" He pouted. "Who knows, maybe your Wicked Phase has some nice ideas on how to spend time together."
"No having fun unless I'm there to have it with you!" Clarine shouted. "I'm not taking my eyes off of you for a second, Dekiriuy, Deku-kins, whoever you are! I'll watch you until Izuku-kins comes back!"
"Oh, so you want to join as well?" Why did you have to speak,Clara? Why? "Ei-chan's already flexible for a three-way, probably wouldn't take much to add one more to the mix…"
"Dekiru, make it clear that while I find you really hot, I will bend you in not hot ways if you think of trying to add her to what I think you're talking about." Wow, Eillia grew some backbone.
"Kuromu will now give her acceptance speech." Gontetsu spoke, handing her the mike. Right, it was time to thank the world and vow to grow better … she started to talk-or would have had it not been for the screams of terror running out of a tunnel with heavy revving noises. Which soon became apparent as her favorite Demdoll came riding out on a bike, driving her way in front of the stage. "It seems Gyari has finally arrived, this is quite-"
"Kuromu." She cut the man off without any form of remorse. "I was so blinded by my own growth I completely missed out on yours, I've been a damn fool. As I thought, you are the ideal woman. So I'll definitely be the one who turns your head … I love you." Kuromu could feel all sorts of swirling emotions building up inside, and only one thought came to mind that she could speak.
"I know." The crowd went wild, screaming and clapping in a frenzy.
"Was that touching? It felt romantic but I can't say for sure." Yes it was Dekiru, don't ruin this! "I don't know if this is a happy ending or a sad ending."
"It's an ending, that's enough." Lilly spoke, exhausted.
"You could've been here and said all that, you know." Ignoring her team, she turned to the punk demdol. "Do you know how awkward it is standing here by myself?"
"Sorry, just thought I'd give you your congratulatory gift." A whole field of flowers were placed all around her by Gyrai's team. Her face flushed wide at that, it was her favorite kind, the woman DID remember that. "Now then, give the crowd what they want!"
Right. Time to fulfill her duties. "I want to really thank you all for cheering us on today. Demdol's are always working hard to put a smile on others' faces." A flashback to Izumi's first performance with Kuromu came to mind. "I'm always striving to be as cute as I can be, but a close friend of mine has reminded me of just how important it really is to keep you all happy. I want to become a beacon of hope, one that shines bright when you're in a dark place...to save you with a smile."
The crowd was cheering, but no face was more poignant at the moment than Dekiru's, who simply nodded. If Izuku was out again, he'd probably flood the whole stage by this point. It would've almost been worth it. "This is my duty! This is my ambition! To become the most dazzling Demdol in the world, shining and undefeated!" The clapping and cheering became louder. "Oh, and I'll have the same team participating again next year!
The entire group began twitching with a minor glare … she could worry about that later. She was confident in her abilities, and it's not like Voodoo dolls work.
Ameri was deep in thought, now needing to comprehend something very very important. How to be in a relationship. According to Izzy, the almighty sacred texts were based on fictional romance, but they haven't failed her so far … barring the water park, that went semi-south.
Plus they never explained what to do for revealed relationships. They had to keep theirs secret because of the alien secret invasion that would target any and all lovers. How could Izzy say that wasn't realistic? That's exactly what they were doing right now!
That wasn't even going with how many girls the boy had pinning for him. Not that it was Izzy's fault, he was too irresistibly cute for their world to handle, but she'd like to go a day spending time with her love without having to murder someone every second.
"Can I have your autograph?" Like right now. The crowd of women asking Izzy for tips on hair care, saying she looked pretty … if any of them were bicurious it would cause serious competition down the line when revealed!
"Where'd you like me to sign~" The boy said suggestively, making the girl blush, clutch her heart, and fall over, as well as the crowd of girls that were watching. "Hah, too easy." And his personality wasn't helping, lapping up the attention. Cearly, intervention was needed. She wasn't a Demdoll, but she could at least make an excuse.
"Pardon me." She made her way past the crowd as she snatched the boy, dragging him. "How are you not dead from sheer pressure at this point?" He wasn't able to handle one girl, yet this suggested he could.
"Fake it till you make it. Just bottle it for later, now that I have the space." He laughed. "It's not like Izuku's going to remember any of this. I'm having fun while I can. Besides, none of these girls could handle me if they tried...they aren't you after all." Well at least this mode could make her flush more with sweet nothi-no, it wasn't Izzy in full, just roll with it.
"Do you have any non romantic activities inside of that head of yours?" She deadpanned.
"Hmm … oh, I could spend some time with Clara and play some dress up. She doesn't like me as it is, it might be a nice bonding activity".
"Okay, is there any part of that head that doesn't have you actively engaging with other girls at all?"
"The only other guys here are Lied and the Beebers, the former and later about to meet actually …" Deku looked over at the poor soul. "Your sacrifice will not be in vain, my comrade."
"You're incorrigible, you know that?" Izzy would come back eventually, and she would make sure to make him never, EVER come back to this form again. "Why'd you kiss me back in the first semester? Izzy didn't even know girls liked him until recently."
"A bit of a thank you for the stamp and secret keeping, when you went all 'cutesy Ameri' you seemed really determined to make me your Kakeru and you to play the role of Rin, so I wanted you to carry a memory of something as fluffy and heart throbbing as that." Aww. "Also I found your frozen face kinda fun to look at." Ahh.
"Okay, I'll accept it." Deku's only temporary. He won't be here forever. "Since you're here, and you're clearly open about everything, can you at least tell me what Izzy looks for in a girl?"
"Strong savior types, so you already fit it there. Thanks to his lack of interaction over the years and recently being a friend of Clara, he's a bit touch-starved, so despite how flustered he gets he finds cuddling and holding each other very pleasurable. Your ambitious nature is what he finds the most alluring, so someone like you, someone closer to being All Might then even Bakago, being the first to believe in him, that all pretty much sealed the deal between you two."
That … was a lot to take in. She could feel her heart beat faster and faster every second. "Right, of course, I'm his ideal girl already … that's nice."
"Alright then, now let's talk about dating spots." She was starting to come around to Dekiru.
Lily was quickly growing a mixed bag on this day. Pro, she met Gyari and so many cool Demdolls, she even competed directly against the girl and listened to one of her songs. Con, the Beebers were haunting him at this point, he couldn't think of any other explanation for constant interaction.
"You really should leave, we were about to have a meal together."
"No, you should, I need to comfort her from your bad attitude."
"No, she'll be scared off by your ominous aura."
"No, she'll be scared off by your clingy nature."
Were..were they all fighting over him?! How the fuck did he get in this situation!? Why did Izuku get all the girls crowding him while he had to deal with these sparkling bastards!?" Even Eiko got a few girls chatting with her, the nerve!
Lily at least helped in the competition he … didn't win the tail wrestling … or what about the Cavalry battle … they lost … and then the broken leg made them try to incorporate Clara into the song, only lucky with how good she was on drums. Wow, now Lied just felt pathetic. Maybe the sidekick role wasn't far off.
FWOOSH
A sudden cold breeze was blown right by him, and he was greeted with the marvelous sight of all the Beebers stuck frozen in place. "You looked like you needed help." Chima was standing right by him, a small smile adorning her face. "Did I do good?"
Saving people with a smile...it sounded cheesy but something about it now made it all that he cared about at the moment. "Yeah, you did great." He patted her on the head. Somehow, that smile made everything worth it. "Thanks for saving me, Chima-chan." Oh, she was flushed, must have been that 'overheated' thing Kerori mentioned happened to her. Probably should get some ice.
Dekiru sat down with Kerori, apparently he was 'grounded' for using his tail as a swingset for Clara. Seriously, she just wanted to play. "So, are you enjoying the celebration, boss?" Dekiru teased her.
"Yeah. It's weird though… I was so used to being praised for being cute as Kuromu and just got used to being 'cool' as Kerori. It's odd being praised for both at the same time in any case, Kaumi and Elizabetta notwithstanding."
"You're talking to someone who's been praised for being an apparent hero, psychopath, and sex god. As a confidant, let me say that this is the easy way out." Dekiru grinned.
"To think I don't envy your ability to attract attention anymore." Kerori laughed. "I-really, I have to say thanks again. You helped me even when you didn't have to. I know we're in a weird spot as friends, but… just let Izuku know I appreciate everything he's done."
"I'll leave a note for him or something." Dekiru laughed beside her. "Izuku was actually thinking about making you his idea of victory, you know that?"
"Oh please no, I still don't think of him that way." Kuromu looked sick.
"It's nothing romantic, I can assure you. He's been in a weird place for years. He thinks he always has to have some sort of standard to meet, but he tends to forget that he's been doing fine all on his own. That and having good influences in his life helps." Dekiru shrugged. "You have no idea how close he was to being another Gyrai."
"Aww, I'm touched." Oh, the moron showed up, jumping between them.
"So, should I leave the Moronic Lovebird and the Semisane Lovebird alone or are you here just to threaten me with a good time?"
"The latter actually. I was wrong, Izumi." Dekiru was so surprised she didn't even try to correct the name. "You are a fine woman, worthy of going after Kuromu." Even the girl in question looked in shock.
"So what, we're rivals for the heart or something now?"
"No, because I'm going to win in the end anyway… so I'll have the best of both worlds and marry you too." What?
"OH COME ON!" Ameri's shout was heard across the stadium.
"Hey, hold on.." Dekiru wasn't going to deal with misconceptions when he had the power to stop it in its place.
"You're a stunner and a star, and I can see why Kuromu would go after you…"
"Wait, that wasn't…!" Gyrai wasn't even going to let Kuromu finish.
"..I might as well take the whole package, but Kuromu is going to be my real bride, so you'll just be the occasional side piece I take in on a lonely night.."
"Alright, shut the fuck up now." Dekiru cut off the woman. "I have had to deal with a lot lately, but I want to make something clear. Even if the misconception is or isn't true, and I was just a single woman going about my business, there would be absolutely no way I would take on someone as selfish and idiotic as you. You have little to no concern over the lives of others along with the deluded notion of you being some sort of hero. Well guess what, you're not. There's no villain to fight and you haven't saved anyone, so get it through your skull that I'm not into you or Kuromu! I'm with someone else, you got it, you sack of poorly packaged horshit!?"
Dekiru took a breath as Gyari sat in stunned silence, not noticing Kuromu's hands gesturing for him to stop. What was she going on about-"Oh you lovely woman." Right, rejection fetish.
"Kuromu, help me out here."
"Why? You got yourself into this mess, and Gyari here has clearly changed targets." She spoke in the most polite yet annoyed tone he's heard from her in a while.
"Don't be like that you bitch! This is your fault to begin with! This is why Izuku is always on edge about being your friend!"
"Wait, Izuku? As in that Midoriya kid from Bablys?" Oh great, Gyrai has heard of him. "He's trying to marry Kuromu too?"
"Does the answer matter to you at all?" Dekiru slapped his forehead.
"Oh you already get me so well baby." Someone put him out of his misery!
"So does any of this actually turn you on? Asking for a friend here." Damn it, help him Eiko, don't get horny!
They watched as the door opened, Izuku walking back in, obviously back to normal with his small, single short horn and no sharp look in his eyes. "I'm back!" He shouted. "Oh, you guys are already here."
"Izuku, you're back! And still my same adorable baby." Inko cried out, putting her son in a bone crushing hug.
"You've been gone for too long! We shouldn't be apart on a night like this!" Sullivan picked both Midoriya's from the floor with his own embrace.
"It's great to see you healthy and happy, young master." Opera chose to bow politely from the side. "We made sure to respect your wishes and not turn on the tv all day."
"Oh, I actually thought for a second you'd do it anyway. Thanks." The young master bought it, good. The last thing they needed was another appearance from Deku, or Dekiru, or whatever that form chose to call themselves.
"Of course, you're my adorable little grandson, I'd never go against your wishes." Lord Sullivan lied with a straight face. "I simply unplugged it and read the papers." It was foolproof, Sullivan was terrible with technology, so it was one hundred percent believable.
"They begged me, but I made them keep my promise. You can talk to me about it anytime, when you're ready." Inko let go of her son. "Now, how about we get something to eat?"
"I actually had a lot before I came back, but I wouldn't mind something sweet." The boy paused his steps, turning to them all. "Um … I'm dating Ameri now." Well that was a surprise.
"Oh, I'm so proud of my baby!" Inko shouted, grabbing the boy once more. "His first girl! And she's very nice too!"
"I'd stretch the definition of nice, but as long as she's making my grandson happy, I won't complain." Sullivan still had a grudge from Izuku's time at the student council. "Oh, do you mind if I hang the pictures of your first kiss with her everywhere now..whoops!" The piles of photos spilled out of their master's hands, revealing more than just the ones of him and Ameri. Oh shit.
"Oh, let me help Grandpa, it's the least I could … do …" The boy trailed off as he looked at the pictures of 'Izumi' and 'Dekiru'. The boy remained silent as they all shook in trepidation. "Why is Amaryllis in this one picture of you posing next to the TV?"
"Ah..it was all his idea!" Inko immediately shifted the blame to Sullivan.
"Inko, darling, why!?" He shouted, already trembling.
The boy just took a deep breath, in and out. "I'm going to my room, i'll be out in ten minutes." The boy stood up, walking away in the most calm he's seen the young master in a while. The screaming and explosions came soon after.
