Bossk snarled at the Mandalorian. "This is going to take longer than five minutes... Mando. I will take as long as I need, but believe me, you will be grateful that I hired you".
Din didn't react. Mando was a name he only usually tolerated from a few people, and Bossk wasn't one of those. But he needed the credits so he let it slide. His spaceship was old and long overdue some repairs and he hadn't had any bounty work for longer than he would admit. He waited.
Bossk continued, looking at the two men across from him.
"Make no mistake. I'm the boss here. Its my job. I brought you two in to help me out...but I will pay you both generously for your assistance."
"Just get on with it" Zuckuss retorted impatiently.
Bossk growled as he looked around the cantina, making sure no one else was in earshot. The place was nearly deserted and those that were here were all wrapped up in their own problems. The barman was busy cleaning up, he knew better than to show any interest in what was going on.
Nevertheless, Bossk kept his voice low as he continued on. "All you need to know is we aren't going for a warm target. The person who hired me is after an object. We are to retrieve it, and deliver it in one piece"
He sat back, looking as if he had finished his explanation.
"What ? That's it ? That's all you are going to tell us ? I was wrong. I didn't need five minutes. I'm out of here..." Mando said as he motioned to stand up.
Bossk growled under his breath and held up his hand. "OK Mando. I see you're not a fool. Sit down. I will tell you more, but make no mistake, I will be keeping certain details secret. I don't want either of you thinking you can do this job without me...". Bossk's face contorted into a close approximation of a grin as he continued.
"Have either of you heard of a dark Kyber crystal ? The job is to retrieve one..."
"Are you crazy ?", Mando exclaimed, causing a couple of heads in the cantina to briefly turn in his direction.
"Keep your voice down", Bossk growled.
The Mandalorian leant forward. "Those things are pure legend. They don't exist."
"Oh, you are very wrong Mando. My employer has come into possession of some information. This thing, as you put it, is very much real. It is where the crystal is...now that is the hard part of the job. It's not in the most well travelled part of galaxy and there may be some...resistance...in obtaining it. That's why I need you two."
Bossk looked at the two other bounty hunters.
It was Zuckuss who spoke up first. "What is this kyber crystal you speak of ? I have never heard of such a thing ? So are you telling us that this job you have is a jewelry heist ? I'm not a common thief. You've got the wrong man here...". He looked at Bossk and then turned towards Mando, who hadn't stopped watching Bossk.
Mando answered without turning his head. "The kyber crystal isn't just some ordinary gem. It was supposed to power an ancient laser sword. The Mandalorians speak of it as an ancient legend. The black crystal formed a sword which was capable of shaping wars. If such a thing exists then whoever wants it should be avoided at all costs."
Bossk shot back "I say again, this thing exists, and I know where it is. As for who wants it, well, you aren't going to find that out. I will be delivering it. By myself. So you don't need to worry about that."
Under his helmet the Mandalorian's mouth formed into a frown. He had a bad feeling about this. He really should walk away. Right now. He knew this job would be paying well though. Not the kind of pay day that was easy to walk away from. He didn't move, instead he asked " So you said that the where was the problem. Where is this crystal ?"
Bossk simply said "Csilla..."
