After the trooper had finished telling Mando where the command room and the storage areas were Mando changed the setting of his blaster, changing it to a stun setting. He fired once at the trooper and the man dropped to the ground. Satisfied that the alarm wouldn't be raised, Din opened the door and entered the still empty corridor.

Rifle first then Ktar.

He had decided on enquiring about Ktar at the last second, but a thought that had occured to him earlier was starting to make sense, and so now a plan was forming in his mind.

One thing at a time though...

The storage area was five levels down. Mando considered using the turbo lift, but he decided against it. He found a set of stairs, and leading with his blaster pistol held out in front of him he started his decent.

Mando moved slowly, the metal stairs echoing each step on them. When he reached the storage level he waited and listened against the door. He couldn't hear anything, he had gotten lucky so far avoiding everyone but he knew that wouldn't last long. Din cracked the door open and looked out, he could see the corridors on this level were wider than above. The corridor ran left and right with doors to a turbolift directly in front of him.

One of the doors to the right of the turbolift. That's what he had said. Let's see if it was a trap. he thought.

He entered the corridor and listened again. Voices were coming from the left, so he started quickly down in the opposite direction. The corridor bent slightly in front of him, with the occasional door set into the walls. As he reached each in turn Mando tried the handles. The first door was locked, and the second door opened up into an empty room lined with shelves. Din moved on slowly and quietly, pausing in front of the third door.

He could hear voices coming from within.

He waited, making out the muffled sounds of two distinct voices coming from inside.

Got to check this room...

He pressed the access button to side of the door, not waiting until it was completely open before he burst into the room. Two men in brown coloured all in one uniforms were standing, deep in conversation, both examining a long barrelled rifle.

"Have you seen the modifications on this thing ?" one of them said, "No wonder Ktar wanted to keep this this. She's going to..."

"...Have to wait a long time before she owns it" Mando finished the sentence.

The two workers turned at the sound of the unfamiliar voice.

Mando squeezed the trigger on his pistol. Twice. Two shots, two crumpled bodies."

I thought this was going to be harder. mused Mando.

He stepped over the two men and looked down at the table. Laying his blaster pistol down, he picked his rifle up and inspected it.

The power cell. It's gone !

Behind him he heard the door open. He reached for his pistol, but before he could ready it he heard a female voice.

"I wouldn't try it Mando. My guards weapons don't have a stun setting..."

He spun around. Four guards, all with weapons raised parted slightly to let Ktar enter the room.

She smiled at him, as she held up a small black box to show him. In her hand was the power cell for his rifle.

"Are you missing this by any chance?"
