Din Djarin could see the planet of Csilla disappear on the sensors built into the control panel of his new ship. After leaving Ktar's base he had travelled only a short distance before landing again to look the ship over. All had seemed as it should be, but he had spent enough time travelling around the galaxy to not trust anyone. It had paid off. He now looked down at the remnants of the two tracking devices he had found as he had checked all over the ship.

He briefly looked through the view port of the cockpit, considering everything that he had been told about the dark crystal and the empire faithful who Ktar claimed now held it.

I've heard rumours before of pockets of old imperial soldiers. But this desire to own the dark crystal is new. Something isn't adding up here...I came with Bossk to stop whoever wanted the crystal, and this hasn't changed...I guess the only thing I can do until I figure out exactly what is going on here is to follow that trail...

He looked down at the controls, familiarising himself with the process to program the jump to light speed.

This ship seems like she is built well. Ktar wasnt lieing when she said she pays well, but I wonder what else she was hiding...?

He entered his destination.

There's only one place to start...

He hit the button and was pushed back in his seat as the stars all transformed from points of light to become solid lines all around the starship.

"Status ?"

Assistant Railo turned away from the bank of screens he had been monitoring in the communications room at the sound of the terse voice.

"Ah, Commander Ktar. The Mandolorian has just left the system." He replied.

"Very good. Anything else to report ?" Ktar enquired.

Railo pointed at a small dark screen on the edge of his display.

"As you predicted Commander, he disabled the two tracking devices we left in obvious places..."

Ktar nodded. "and the others ...?"

"Still in place. He's just made the jump to lightspeed, but when he comes back out of it we should pick him up again."

Ktar smirked at this information "excellent."

Railo hesitated before he spoke again."Commander. If I may be so bold...was it wise to give the Mandolorian the Razor Crest ? The ship was one of our best..."

Ktar's face became stony "You dare question me ?"

"No. Not at all" Railo said, hastily backtracking. "I just meant that we have other lesser ships that would have served the purpose just as well..."

Ktar stared directly at him, with unblinking eyes "You have no idea of the real reason I let the Mandolorian go after Gideon... I gave him the ship to try to convince him that the job was worthy of such a payment. He'll find out soon enough that even that ship wasn't sufficient for he will face. He will either complete the job...or he won't. Either way, if your engineers have done their job then we will be able to retrieve the ship when the time is right. There is more in play here than your tiny mind can comprehend !"

Before he could answer, Ktar strode from the room, her guards hastily following her as she left. When the door to the communications room had closed she stopped and looked back towards the room. She addressed the nearest guard.

"Take Assistant Railo to the detention cells and subject him to an extended period of anguish. He is no longer useful to me..."

The panel of the Razor Crest lit up seconds before the ship dropped out of lightspeed. As it returned to normal space the Mandolorian looked out ahead of him, seeing a familiar yellow planet quickly approaching.

Tattooine. I always end up back here...
