Chapter 2: What happens to our body?

The Kooplings were scattered… the kingdom in disarray. Blorbed Minions littered the landscape like oversized novelty balloons… and Lord Bowser Jr. was defeated.

These were some of the toughest times the Minions had ever faced.

Yet despite the staggering odds… I never lose faith.

I knew that Lord Junior and Lord Bowser would pull us through… somehow...

- Kamek. (Underappreciated) Loyal chancellor of Bowser Kingdom.

When he opens his eyes, the world is spinning, and his mind foggy, Ludwig dunno what has happened or how did it occurred, but he knows that their new scheme has ended in failure. Somehow... and again... just as any usual fashion. Sigh, things just always won't work in Bowser's flavor, is it?

Either way, time to regroup, remodel, and start it from the 1-1 ground all over again, the good O' Plan B.

Ludwig pushes himself up, only to immediately notice that something isn't right.

He feels… higher, his legs have somehow got longer, and his hand and body all felt different, not wobbly or frail, he still feels… himself. But something has changed. Some drastic changes he couldn't quite put.

Quickly bringing his hand to his handsome face, Ludwig's eyes shot wide open as he immediately understands what is wrong, this sensation doesn't feel like his hand. There is a fifth finger, a new finger that wasn't there before. And his face too, he knows what his handsome face's shape feels like, and yet what this hand is feeling tells him his face has changed, an alien shape unfamiliar to him.

Ludwig closed his eyes and draws a deep breath, to calm himself down, maybe his mind is still wobbly, maybe he is seeing things from stress, maybe he gets this all wrong.

So he breathed, calmed himself down, and then stood up.

His body still doesn't feel quite right.

And so he looked down, bracing himself for the worst.

Expecting to see the old Koopa body with yellow skin and claws, as well as a round nose in his vision's view; all he saw are human hands and a body dressed in fancy royal-style of human clothing, and a small shape that resemble a nose in the bottom corner of both eyes.

"What?" Ludwig says dumbly, his rich vocabulary lost, and his calm composure escaped him.

Panic began to rise up in his mind. Cluttered and clustered notes overwhelmed his rational mind.

He immediately starts touching himself, desperately hoping to find any body parts he's familiar with, anything! He then brought his hands to his magnificent hair, one of his many personal pride and joy.

scratch* *scratch*

At least his hair is still in the same tactile sensation, texture, shape, and style. Good. Something that still resembles some sense of order to him. However...

"EeeeeeeeK!" A loud shriek that sounds like Wendy's put a stop to his panic.

Ludwig immediately turned his head toward the source of the voice, worry for the safety of his sister. "Wendy!"

Except only to see a blonde human girl dressed in pink with a familiar pink bow instead the all-familiar royal Koopaling with a pink bow, said human girl who's touching her hair with a shock, panic, scared, and a worrisome ecstasy look in her eyes.

"Huh?" Was all Ludwig can manage to utter out as he tilt his head in massive confusion.

"Ok, so let me get this straight, we all remember the teleport magic conjure goes wrong. And then after Bowser punched that thing, everything goes white, and the next we wake up and found out we're somehow turning half-humans in the middle of nowhere all of a sudden now?" Roy speaks tiredly. As he is trying his best to compromise the situation at hand. You would think that being part of a world where the wackiest or oddest kinds of stuff or encounters can happen on a daily basis would prepare you for anything, apparently not.

"That's about the gist." Larry replied lazily while plucking his now human-ed ear, equally as confused and puzzled, but he's taking it better than others, not bothering to put effort into thinking being the key factor of his take here.

Now, seated in a circle, the crucial members of the Bowser Kingdom, The seven Koopalings, along with Prince Bowser Junior are in a green forest of some sort and somewhere.

The most important part being they all have turned into humans somehow.

(But first, skin and then height chart: Ludwig/white/5'8'' , Lemmy/white/4'6'' , Roy/slight yellow/6'3'' , Iggy/slight yellow/6'0'' , Wendy/white/5'4'' , Morton/brown/5'9'' , Larry/white/5'7'', Bowser Jr./slight tan/5'0'' AN: Don't bother comparing their height to their cannon height order. I simply look at the RWBY Volume 1 height chart and decide how high I want them to be compared to RWBY characters.)

Ludwig retains his iconic trademark hair that seemly glitter under sunlight (which he greatly enjoys secretly), as well as the sharp bucktooth (except it is no longer exposed despite closing his mouth), his blue shell with spikes still resting on his back, as well as his short Koopa tail on his butt.

His attire consists of a black blouse with a blue three-button-double-breasted vest; a small white jabot tie around his neck; and a blue swallow-tail coat with gold and white stripe lines and black cuff, a metal shoulder pad print with a Bowser emblem on the left shoulder, and a normal shoulder pad with light blue clothes that runs down the back for decoration, and his own emblem print on the back of the coat; Black pants hold up by a yellow belt and a pair of deep-blue knee-high boots, a keychain with a white hostler that stored his blue wand; white gloves on both hands, and around his wrist is the familiar black spike metal band his brothers and himself wears.

In all, not bad for an attire if he had to give his input. Perfectly suited for someone with a sense of formal, professional, and classic such as him.

Lemmy's hair had one new change, his colorful mohawk and ponytail didn't change and retained their vibrant colorfulness, but the base of his head had a green bald cut that resembles his green Koopa head, and a pink braid that goes down from his left ear, and a blue braid from his right ear; the orange rectangle line birthmarks now moved to both his cheeks like a face print. His spiky shell on his back and metal spike band on his wrists like Ludwig.

His attire consists of a jester's clothes style. White sleeveless vest with flower petal-like cut at the bottom, with his emblem print on the back of his vest, the out scratching lapel part separate to two colors, left in green and right in orange, with a white hairball hanging on the end; he wears a long-sleeve fingerless-hand-sock glove, orange with white stripes on the left hand, green with white diamond pattern on the right hand, a black armband with a Bowser emblem on his left shoulder; a yellow belt with a white hostler that stored his green wand on his waist; Puffy shorts that divide into two colors, green with long white stripes on the left, and orange with white dots on the right; Over knee-long stockings on both legs, green with white stripes on left, and orange with white diamond pattern on right; and yellow puffy shoes with white hairball on the front tip.

Gleeful that his own attire consists of bright colors, perfect for attracting attention just he wants, and the jester outfit is just the Double Cherry on top of the cake.

Roy retains his hot-pink cat sunglasses (which he greatly appreciates as he does not want to show his eyes), while he now has hair (a new sensational for him, but a welcome one), actual hair in a short faux hawk cut (which he's quite fond of), spiky shell, tail, and metal bands like the rest of his siblings.

His attire consists of a mix of punk and military style, a black tank top with his emblem print on the front, an unbuttoned white military jacket with hot pink stripes hanging on his shoulder, with Bowser's emblem print on the back of the jacket; a silver and gold necklace on his neck that spells "BAD BOY", purple fingerless glove, and bandage wrapping around his arms with elbow guard on the top; white military pants with hot pink stripe hold by a black belt with metal pin, a black hostler tied on his right trouser that stored his black wand; black military boots with the trousers tucked in.

All in all, Roy is contented with his new look, at least it wasn't an uncomfortable formal dress where he need to wear a tie. Plus the Punk style, it rocks, baby.

Iggy had messy lime-green hair that stopped around at shoulder length, but the trademark pineapple-leaf-like hair is still presented on the top of his hair, tied by a purple band. He had purple eyeshadow paint on the button of his eyes. Like his siblings, the spiky shell, tail, and metal bands are still present.

His attire consists of perfectly captures his odd-crazy style as it is a mix-breed of a fashion disaster. A yellow dresser shirt with loosening trumpet sleeve; with purple vest, and a green tie; a green worker-apron warping around his upper body; a white mad scientist coat with super long sleeve and his emblem print on the back; a long gold necklace with a smaller version of his Koopa shell hanging on his neck, pine-green long chemical glove in his hand; forest-green baggy pant with 3 zipper pockets on each side, with one zipper pocket storing his yellow wand, and a Bowser emblem sticker stick to the down-left of the pants; and white soft shoes with green stripe.

Baa Haa Haa! He loves it. Wee HEE!

Wendy was perhaps the one with the most change over her appearance, she had hair, actual hair! Blonde hair tied in a ponytail with no bangs on the forehead, Her pink bowtie with white dots is still present on top of her head, with small drill braids running down both sides of her head. Her puffy lips, red pearl necklace, and gold wrist rings are still there.

Her attire consists of a mix between ballet and punk lady, shoulderless waterproof black ballet top with white lapel, and 4 diamond-shape cuts that expose her front belly, side waist, and back; white bolero jacket with neapolitan cuff and pink stripe-line, with her emblem print on the back, foot-less waterproof black pantyhose with black safety pants (AN: No lewding material for you horny people.); white wrap-skirt held on with a black belt with hot-pink diamond pattern, with a yellow ring keychain holding her purple wand, short black fingerless glove; a white leg band with Bowser emblem; and pink high-heel boots.

It's PERFECT, this is exactly the looks she dreams of if she ever becomes a human.

Morton had his gray star birthmark on his face, he too has hair now, gray short hair, as well as the three cowlicks still sticking at the top, and like his original color, his skin is still brown.

His attire consisted of a light brown dress shirt with a red tie; a black sleeveless zipper jacket with white fuzzy neck-tuff, with his emblem print at the back; spike shoulder guards that looked similar to his shell; brown pants with few torn holes holding up by black slingshots; light-brown fingerless gloves, a black armband with Bowser emblem; and a brown brisk boots.

Morton still wasn't quite sure what's going on, but it seems everyone is happy.

Larry had a green bald cut base like Lemmy, his trademark light-blue up-cockscomb still at the top, and the star shape blue birthmark moved to his left cheek like a faceprint.

His attire consisted of a sports theme, a white sports shirt with green lines and a blue star print at the front; a light-blue zipper hoodie with black sleeve, and the head part being gray, his emblem print on the back of the hoodie; a black music headphone with white star rest on his neck; black sports pants with blue stripe; a white military jacket with light-blue stripe he ties around his waist; white sports shoes with blue stripe; and a black backpack that was holding both his tennis racket and orange wand.

Yeah, he could work with this, it feels natural, and he's well-equipped to go to any tennis game any moment he wants.

Finally, Bowser Jr. still had his distinguished trait, the short bull horns, the spooky scarf, the tied-up red ponytail; his head, however, unlike Lemmy or Larry, actually gains red short hair.

His attire consists of a rough royal-prince-like outfit, a yellow short sleeve shirt with a green vest and a red tie; an orange coat with green lines tie around his waist; orange fingerless gloves; brown work-short with orange over-knee socks underneath, white socks, black army-boot with red stripe; a red cape with metal shoulder pad and purple inner, with his emblem print on the cap, and his paintbrush hanging on his back by a brown side-body-belt.

"I swear, this is possibly the weirdest day ever." Roy sighed, and here he thought the weird incident where the weird Origamis trying to take over their world is the weirdest.

"Well, at least we didn't turn into some sort of princess or weird things like genderbend." Lemmy says unceremoniously as he summons a bounce ball and balances on it.

Many shot him a weird look, including Morton.

"What makes you think that?" Ludwig asks with a cross arm and a raised eyebrow, which only earns a shrug from Lemmy.

"O~k, back to the matters at hand, we don't know if this appearance transformation is the result of the backfire from the spell or something, nor do we know how long this effect is going to last, but we're currently in the middle of somewhere, and we need to get back to Lord Bowser." Ludwig shifted the attention back.

"Yep, Star Spirits knows how Lord Bowser is when he doesn't know Lord Junior's whereabouts." Larry says, earning a wave of nods from his brothers. A worried father is one hell of a force to be reckoned with. Even more worrying when said individual is Bowser himself.

"Will ya stop playing with your hair?" Roy scoffed at Wendy, who was touching and feeling her new hair for the past 15 minutes non-stopping.

"Buzz off, Roy, I never have hair to begin with, and of course can touch my hair whatever the hell I want." Wendy hisses dangerously at the sunglass brawny, which makes Roy back off a bit. The phantom pain from Wendy's aggressive beating returns to his memory. Women, can never understand them.

Ignoring the dynamic duo, Ludwig focuses on being the rational voice here and automatically took the charging role to form a plan.

"So, our best chance is to find out any nearby town, kingdom, or anyone that could help us pinpoint where we are, then we can start finding a way to return to Dark Land and Lord Bowser." He looked among everyone, no objection, good.

But there is just one problem.

"Yes? Lord Junior?" Ludwig noticed that Jr. raised his hand.

"Which way should we go?"

- Earlier today, in Beacon Academy.

In Ozpin's long life, he had seen a lot of stuff, be it good, be it bad, he had seen enough of it, but, despite having a one-of-a-kind personal history such as that; it did not prepare him for what happened today.

Imagine sitting in your office, going over some paper of business, and handling students' education and grading, while sipping some good soul-mending moral-boosting hot cocoa.

Then all of a sudden, a white vortex opened up in your office, and dumped a man in front of you.

No, he really did not see that coming. And so didn't you.

Crouching down near the unconscious men, Ozpin looks for the pulse to see any sign of the man's well-being, as well as any unusual part he can identify about them.

He's an odd one, he'll give him that.

The unconscious man in question had a lean yet well-built figure for an old man, if the big puffy white mustache that could rival Port's is anything to go by, he was dressed in a high-class black business suit, with a gray stripe tie, but the gold crown embedded with red blue jewelry on his head made Ozpin raised his eyebrow, he knows people may wear accessory to improved their look, but crown is an unusual choice, especially in this current era on Remnant. Either this man has a huge ego or does not bother what others think.

Much to his relief, the man's pulse is beating regularly, and there don't seem to be any visible wounds or trauma he can find, weirdly enough, he doesn't feel any aura from this man, strangely and worryingly to none; but there is something... a strange energy within him, one that Ozpin doesn't recognize nor could quite tell.

"How strange." Ozpin mused as he automatically put his hand to the chin.

But before the headmaster could decide what he should do with the man's situation, the elevator to his office opened up with a ding, drawing his attention.

"Ozpin!" Glynda Goodwitch called out to him as she rush out of the elevator car, a sense of urgency in her voice, which indicating him that something is definitely going on.

Looking up, Ozpin faced the deputy, as the said woman looked at the unconscious man in Ozpin's hand in surprise.

"We have a situat..." Glynda's voice dies down soon as she notices the man in Ozpin's arms, with a big mustache that reminds her of Port's.

With a somewhat knowing look, Ozpin asked. "I'm going to take a guess, a portal of some kind opened up and left an unconscious person in front of you?" The headmaster cut straight to the point. Earning a nod from the deputy.

"A man dressed in pure white wearing a crown was dropped in my office. I have Peach taking care of him right now, this isn't an isolated incident." The deputy informed the headmaster, her brow furrowed as she crossed her arms in confusion.

"Another man with a crown?" Ozpin muttered, as furrowed his brow and squint his eyes, wondering what could this mean. A puzzle indeed, but one he still hasn't enough pieces to form a better picture.

Suddenly, he felt a buzz in his pocket, his scroll rang, and Ozpin has a good feeling the day is going to get even more strange, mentally prepared, he picks up the call.

"Headmaster Ozpin, I apologize for the sudden scroll call." Comes through the speaker is Peter Port, Beacon's local boastful Grimm Expert, whose voice is still as energetic as ever, but with concern mixed in it. "You're not going to believe this, but a portal opened up and spit out a man in my office. I sware with my Grandpa and my mustaches." Normally, many would raise an eyebrow in doubt, considering how many auxiliary words he sput whenever he opened his mouth. But not this instance, not when his glorious mustache is on the line.

The headmaster and deputy looked at each other as they processed the information from their colleague.

"How's his condition? What does he look like?" Ozpin asks.

"Well, he's still breathing, which is a relief, no sight of any visible wound that I can find, and he's an old man with a nice white hairy mustache and eyebrows if I do say so, wears some formal high-class coat and suit, and a bejeweled crown on his head."

"Another one." Glynda muttered in her hand. People poping up in their school, what could this mean?

Suddenly another call cuts in, this time from Oobleck.

"Headmaster! You will not believe the strange event I just experienced!" Making the call Multi-party, Ozpin instructs Oobleck to begin his tale.

"A vortex or portal of some sort opened up in my study, and a huge bull-Faunus in a deep-blue armor was dropped out from it!"

Ozpin looked at Glynda, who return the same concerned gesture, then looked back at his scroll.

"Let's get these men to the infirmary first, then you can tell us the details of the situation."

"Sure, but oh man, this guy is super heavy, I require assistance!" Oobleck cries as he tries to lift up the huge man.

- A few minutes later. -

With the four mysterious men taking care of, the Huntsman professors now sit down outside the infirmary to discuss the strange event of earlier.

"So, aside from the clue of the portal, until they wake up, we have no idea who or why they are here." Oobleck looked down as he and his co-worker tried their best to solve this big mystery. To no available.

They all looked down, either in deep thought or out of idea on what to do. Finding out who they are isn't the problem, it was that figuring out what causes them to show up on their doorstep is the troubling part, portal-like power-based Semblance isn't unheard of, but Ozpin can't think of any individual that possessed such a particular semblance being respond behind this incident. Raven's Semblance only worked if she had formed a link with the people who she bonded with, and as far as they are aware, Raven does NOT have nor want any bond with Ozpin nor anyone associated with him other than her own brother and old team.

So this is not the work of her doing, besides, the color of the portal doesn't match hers, it was pure white, not crimson-red with black.

Which pushes them back to square one, who are they? Ozpin doubt that the database could be the solution to this mystery. Despite having established the CCTS and many relays and support towers across all four kingdoms, the accuracy of the identity registration database shared between all four kingdoms was still something to be desired, no thanks to the Grimm's ever-looming threat, missing people from outside the main capital due to frontier settlements being destroyed alongside the resident data wasn't unheard of. There's always a ghost popping up every now and then at the border checkpoint. Chance are, he wouldn't be surprised or disappointed if the records came up in blank.

Speaking of the mysterious identity, the door of the infirmary opened up, as the medical staff moved out. The doctor informs them these men are all healthy, just unconscious for some reason, but they'll wake up eventually within a few hours given or taken. As Ozpin expected, the medical staff inform them there was no record of these four men in all four Kingdom's databases, they were like a ghost.

The headmaster and deputy exchanged looks, as they came to a silent agreement.

"Gentlemen, while our mysterious guest's well-being is of great concern, let's not forget that we still have duties and students that need to be taken care of, I'll stay here and wait for our guest to awake, then I'll inform you all what I can find." Ozpin suggested, but in truth, it's more of an order, not that the professor and doctor need to know.

The professor and doctor salute to the headmaster before bidding their farewell, and returning to their post, again being kept in the dark from the real big picture.

Once seeing that the coast is clear, Glynda whispers to Ozpin. "Ozpin, do you think this is her work?"

Hanging his head down, Ozpin let out an exhausted sigh. "No, in all my past clashes with Salem, never once did she pull something like this, nor do I believe they to be her agents, she rather has an element of surprise on me if she wishes to send an assassin." He takes a chair and sits down. "Moreover, if they really are assassins, why send them in unconscious?" That doesn't sound like Salem's style, if it's about murdering him, sending in a fake doppelganger to an important private meeting with him is a much more efficient way to get that job done. Which, Ozpin had long stopped going solo in meetings since many incarnations ago.

Glynda looks down, a frown present on her face. "If they're not her underlings, then… who are they?"

"Glynda, I wish I know..." Massaging his forehead tiredly, he sighed again. "For the first time, I believe we're dealing with something that might be beyond us." He worried, the strange feeling he felt from the scorching of Aura on these people lingered in his mind. There was something else in them, but what is it?

- Back with the Koopalings and Koopa Prince.

The group of now-humanized Koopa, walked aimlessly in one direction in the vast wide lush forest, with Prince Junior leading the way.

How did it come to this? Simple, a little while ago before today's event, there was another incident, one that included Origami of all the things, but anyway, during that incident, Junior learns one thing, when it comes to multiple opinions, always choose the one option nobody chooses… something like that, at least, that's what Junior remembers why Kamek always seems to be correct all the time.

So Junior simply tells each of the Koopalings to pick one direction, and then he'll tell them to follow the direction nobody picked.

Well, despite being the top henchmen of Bowser, Kamek's word holds more power than theirs, and so is Lord Junior, plus, Kamek is rarely wrong, and they could handle anything thrown at them usually. Better obey rather than headbutt with their little bratty prince. Without an argument, they followed Junior, and started walking in one direction, hoping to escape this forest in no time.

Walking in the last, Ludwing, Larry, and Wendy will act as the long-range defense, while Iggy, Lemmy act as the middle defense, and Morton and Roy act as frontline charge, Junior, however, being the jack of all trades, can switch his position any time he wants, the kid can take care of himself just fine.

- Time Skip -

They have been walking in the forest for a while, the trees did lessened, but still too much green for Junior's liking.

"..." With a familiar sense of deja vu, Ludwig found himself constantly looking back, despite there being nothing behind them.

'Again with this feeling, I can not shake off the idea that someone or something is following us.' Eyeing their surroundings, Ludwig frowned with narrow eyes., this ominous feeling was way too familiar for his liking.

His weird behavior didn't go unnoticed by Wendy and Larry.

"Well, what is it? Boss?" During the past experience of working as a team, Larry finds himself most comfortable with Ludwig when working with his siblings, as he doesn't mind letting Ludwig be in charge (less responsibility and work for him anyway), hence the nickname of calling him boss. (Much to Ludwig's ego-stroking.)

"Nothing, must be my imagination." Ludwig dismissed, but his expression and hand gesture say otherwise.

Wendy rolled her eyes. "Spill it, Ludwig. what's going on?"

Looking back once more, Ludwig faces his siblings. "I feel like we're being followed. Just like that time with the Blorbs."

"!" Both Wendy and Larry immediately catch on to the severity of the deal.

The Blorb incidents, a massive kingdom-scale crisis that ever befallen the Mushroom Kingdom and the Bowser Kingdom, where most citizens were poisoned with a man-made virus that fattens up the bones of any person that was infected, swelling them to the point of a literal meat balloon. Turns out it was a schemed nefarious plot from a sinister mad Beanish scientist who goes by the name Fawful, and the combined effort from an organization known as BFF, Brutal Force Foundation. The Blorb was just a distraction to everyone, so Fawful and BFF can conquer both Mushroom Kingdom and Bowser Kingdom.

And the scariest part is that these hooligans almost succeeded.

"You would've thought that we might have come across some random Goomba or Shy Guy already, or perhaps a Wiggler, but so far, nothing like that came to view… and what's more..." Ludwig paused, as his brow furrows. "Something isn't right with this forest, it's too quiet for some reason, something is there in the shadow, and we better get quick on our feet. I feel like… we're being watched..." He says grimly, as he looks back once again.

Rubbing his neck uncomfortably, Larry asks. "You don't think… this is another scheme plotted against the Kingdom this time do you?"

Ludwig shook his head to dismiss the idea. "No, I don't think so, the result when a teleport magic goes wrong is unpredictable as Kamek said, let alone to get us all teleported in a position they want, I don't think today's incident is someone's doing." Not unless it's from someone with the power to mess with teleportation that is. It's too soon to check off the possibility.

"Then what is it if nobody is messing with us?" Wendy asks.

Looking behind him once again, Ludwig says. "I feel like we're in a dangerous territory, something's territory, and we're the unwanted trespasser."

The three exchange a look of uncertainty, finding the situation may be worse than they let on.

"What do you suggest?" Wendy asks.

"Getting out of this forest, ASAP." The elder sibling answered, and both the young sister and brother couldn't agree more. This forest is starting to give them the creeps.

"HEY! What's the hold up back there!" Junior yelled from afar, noticing someone slacking off behind.

The three look at each other and nod, quickly uniting with the rest.

Junior had an impatient look on his face as he crossed his arms and tapped the ground with his foot. "Sheesh, what's with the slack off, I thought we all agreed to get out of this forest?"

"Lord Junior, I believe there's something wrong with this forest." Ludwig politely informs.

Junior however rolled his eyes. "Pff, of course, just some plain trees and rocks, boring. Like, this place could use some punching bags for me, and maybe use some graffiti to decorate." He put his hand on the chin at the last part. What mark should he leave behind this time?

"I..." Ludwig was about to continue his concern, but some noise interrupted him.

*Growl* A low growl unlike any creature in the Mushroom Kingdom sounds off from nowhere.

"Morton, was that you?" Wendy hesitantly asks, a bit on the edge. What was that noise?

Said Koopaling answered honestly. "BELLY NO GROWLING, MORTON NOT HUNGRY!"

"Hold on, if that wasn't Morton, then... who was that?" Roy raised his finger in confusion.

*Growl* The growl from earlier reached their ears again, this time much closer in distance.

rustle* Then Jumping out from behind a pile of bush, was an ugly-looking black wolf-like beast walking on both hind legs, with a white bone-like faceplate and multiple bone-like spikes extended out from various parts of the body.

They jumped back as the wolf-looking thing tried to pounce on them.

"What the… what is that thing?" Ludwig said, as he and his siblings all take on a battle stance.

"Obviously some kind of wolf. Bahaha!" Iggy eyed the beast with much enthusiasm and curiosity, while giggling crazily as usual.

"And it smells." Wendy complained as she pinched her nose in disgust. Blech.

"Doesn't seem like anything back in Mushroom Kingdom." Larry points out.

"That could only mean we're not in Mushroom Kingdom anymore." Ludwig added as he frowned and looked at the creature intensely.

"Oh great, we're apparently so far away from Dark Land." Roy rolled his eyes under the sunglasses, if none of them recognized this creature, then that means they were in unknown territory, great, long-distance travel without a proper vehicle. Just great.

Then, behind the black wolf, several more appear as the backup and the pack, each gritting their teeth at them dangerously.

"Well, at least Ludwig wasn't worried for nothing." Larry comments, a fireball charging up in his mouth, as he takes out his Tennis racket.

"Doesn't matter, I say we pummel these things to the ground, then we get back to dad!" Junior takes out his paintbrush happily as he grins.

Finally, some action.

"No problem!" The Koopalings followed his lead, ready to teach these things a lesson of who it's messing with.

- Back with Ozpin and Glynda.

Remember when Ozpin said today is a strange day? Scratch that, today is super odd.

Cause right now, he and Glynda are watching different camera feeds from Emerald Forest, and they saw a group of teenagers and a kid, and a man dressed in a weird red and green planet monster mascot suit rampaging through the forest separately. As earlier the sensor they placed in the forest was triggered for some reason.

The group of teenagers and a kid is mopping the floor with Beowolfs, and the man dressed in mascot custom was fighting a King Taijitu from the other side, but what shocked them the most was they appeared to be wielding magic of all the things.

What makes Ozpin so certain? When the Beowolf land a strike on one of them, their body didn't have any Aura flash, you couldn't have your Semblance manifest without unlocking your Aura first.

There's no mistake, the blue-haired Faunus dressed in a fancy suit was using a wand in his hands as he fired multiple deep blue fire blasts at the Beowolfs that homing as it sore through the air, and he was able to float in the air around without any sight of the use of Dust.

One multicolor mohawk Faunus dressed like a jester was rolling around on a big bouncy ball as he summons bombs in his hand as he juggles said bombs and threw them around, when one Beowolf knock his ball away, he just jump around before landing gracefully with another ball appears underneath him in a poof.

The Faunus wearing the pink bow was dancing around the Beowolfs as she shot out glowing golden rings to bind the Grimms in places, before her companions finished those trapped Grimms in a fashion of teamwork. One smarter Beowolf tried to sneak behind her, only to receive a ring being put on its neck, and then proceeds to be suffocated to death as the ring tightens intensely.

The Faunus with pineapple-leaf-like hair was spinning like a tornado around the Beowolfs, apparently laughing at the top of his lung as he did, before he suddenly teleported around them randomly to confuse the Grimms even more. Both Ozpin and Glynda rub their eyes when the guy suddenly starts walking in the air upside down.

The biggest Faunus with the sunglasses was punching the Beowolfs like sandbags, his bulky arms easily sending the Beowolfs flying through tree trunks like they were nothing, and picking up boulders with relative ease and throwing them around like some cannonballs.

The Faunus with a star painted on his face threw his wand up in the air, only for it to transform into a giant hammer, he then swing it at the Grimms, sending them flying, or nailing them into the ground, and powerful shockwaves occurred with ever hits coming from him.

The Faunus with a light-blue mohawk was jumping around the Grimm with great athleticism, spitting fireballs out of his mouth, and hitting them around with the racket in his hand as if he was playing some sort of sports. He got a good aim, Ozpin will give him that.

The Faunus with a paintbrush was perhaps the one with the oddest tactic out of the group, he swept his paintbrush on the ground, leaving and creating a pile of brown paint goop, and then summoned a monster that looked exactly like the planet monster mascot the man on the other camera feed was dressing. Before ordering the monster to attack the Beowolfs.

Speaking of the mascot dressing man, Glynda was baffled by the man's sheer power he possessed, he appeared to be welding no weapon, yet he was able to hold off the King Taijitu from biting when the beast had the man in its jaw. The two-head snake has made several attempts to bite or devour him, only for him to open the jaw and knock the head away with a pure fist or headbutt. He then holds his arm back, and swings it forward, to create several small hurricanes to push away the giant Grimm snake.

"Ozpin, you're seeing this, correct?" Glynda asks, a little bit disbelieving of the footage she was witnessing, nobody in Remnant can use magic freely, all except Ozpin, the Four Maiden, or people granted magical power by Ozpin, and then the big enemy mastermind Salem. No other individuals are supposed to own such supernatural powers.

Ozpin didn't answer back, he was too focused on the display of magic these people were showing. Inside his head, multiple thoughts and theories crossed his mind, but none made much sense, all except one possibility, but even then it is still very hard for him to believe.

'This is too much of a coincidence, something definitely is going on around Remnant. And...' He looked at the feed again. 'If they can use magic, maybe…'

With a goal in mind, Ozpin made his gamble.

"Glynda, get these people off the forest." Turning his head to the deputy, Ozpin ordered her, with a rare sternness that means no room for arguing. "These people know how to use magic, we can't let her or her agent know. This is not a coincidence."

"!" Understanding how serious the immortal headmaster is, Glynda nods and immediately rushes to the elevator.

With the deputy off on her way, Ozpin devotes his attention back to the camera feed, not saying any word after that. He had much to learn right now.

- Earlier, before the King Taijitu show up.

It has been a pretty uneventful week for Petey Piranha. Like… he's been eating, and napping, and then eating… and then go back napping, the good o' carefree lifestyle as always. No thought, empty head.

Then big boss Bowser suddenly summoned him to the big castle, requiring his service, so as many others, well, he doesn't have many things to do usually outside eat sleep, so he was fine for having a chance to stretch arms. Besides, he can meet up with Gooper and Boo, he was more than happy for that reason. And speaking of working...

...

Uhhh… he didn't remember much about what the big plan Bowser had was as he slept through the part of the filling. He only knows it has happened when he wakes up from his nap. That his body was changed and he was in the middle of nowhere.

Well, if he was already deployed to the position, then it means he just needs to do the usual stuff, right? So that means he'll just smash any people that come in his way, right?... Yeah, that sounds about right.

And then here he is. Fighting against some sort of big snake with two heads. It confused him at first, as he thought he was going to fight the mustache man in red, or maybe the mustache man in green, or maybe those long-tongue green dinosaurs? but ehh, whatever, he'll smash regardless.

- Present

Petey finds himself facing the weird two-color snake, how does that thing function as a whole if it has two brains? Wouldn't the two clash with each other over the control over one body? Ehhh... come to think of it, Naval Piranha has multiple heads, but only one ack as the main head. So how exactly do two heads in control work?

Ssssssss* The black head of the twin head snake hiss at the Piranha costume dresser, getting the attention of the absent mind Piranha back in battle, both heads looking annoyed as its past attempts of devouring its prey all end with a mean punch to the heads.

The said prey just scratches its itchy butt, looking as careless as ever. Wonder what for dinner today?

Ssssssss* The two heads decide to try different attempts, finally changing their tactic. The white head shot toward the prey first, only to make a sharp turn at the last moment.

"Gha?" Petey was not expecting that, he was expecting the snake's jaw to nib on him again. He quickly followed the white head's movement, wondering what is it trying to do?

This turns out to be the mistake the snake needed. As the black quickly shot toward the prey's back, charging at full speed.

"Geh?" Petey turned his head back at the last second. Only to see the thick bone plate of the snake's head on the collision to his face. The giant snakehead crushed into Petey's stomach, making him lose his air as well as appetite, sending the humanized Piranha Plant flying toward a nearby cliff.

crack* Petey's body embeds into the rocks, causing the Piranha man to yelp in pain, that wasn't very nice, attacking someone's stomach. He quickly breaks out from the cliff and holds his stomach, looking a bit annoyed now.

Unfortunately for him, this moment of checking his tubby was proven to be another great mistake on his part. In to corner of his eyes, a shadow loomed over his body.

cruch* And then everything blacked out for Petey.

- Back with the Koopalings and Bowser Jr. A bit earlier before Petey gets eaten by a snake.

"Well, that's the last one." Roy dusts his hand in satisfaction. A bunch of punching bags for him to lose some steam after today's unpleasant experience.

His siblings too are in the same state of mind as him. Ludwig dusting his clothes; Lemmy goes back to balancing on his ball idly; Iggy just giggling like a weirdo, as usual; Wendy took out a pink light travel makeup mirror to check her appearance; Morton was checking Junior if he was alright, and Larry took out a comb and arrange his mohawk. And the Petey Piranha Junior summoned from earlier had dissolved into a pile of goop, without a Power Star or Shine or Moon, those paint summons could only last for so long.

Say what you want about King Bowser, but one simply can't deny the fact that punching stuff into oblivion is an effective way of stress-relieving.

After all, it's just another usual victory moment for the Royal Koopas.

Junior, however, wasn't satisfied, as expected.

"Awww man, these guys suck, it's not even funny." He crossed his arms and attempted to make an angry face, except all he did was make a pout, which considering the fact that he now bears the facial of a human makes Wendy find the expression to be adorable.

"Ehh, what were you expecting? We're the elite for reasons, normal guys stand no chance with us." Roy shrugs as he too finds these weird wolves so much of a pushover. But ehh, punching bags are punching bags, and Roy's fist won't say no to free punching bags.

"Although, it's pretty weird how they disappear when we defeat them." Ludwig suddenly piped in. As he looked around with his head down in thought.

"How so?" Lemmy asks.

"When normal creatures, say: a Goomba, get defeated, they usually explode into stars sparkles and smokes, but these things fade into a cloud of black mist and then vapes into nothingness."

His siblings look at each other with blinking eyes, before realizing he made a good point.

"You know what… that's pretty weird." Wendy raised a finger at that.

"Now that you mention that… it's pretty unusual." Larry agrees.

"Who cares, these clowns don't put up a fight. I'd rather get back to dad than waste my time on these clowns." Junior says annoyingly, not understanding the problem here.

"Bah, who cares what way they die, they're all pushovers like normal goombas." Roy waved his hand at them, not caring about the small detail.

'That's because you two are muscle brains.' Ludwig and Wendy deadpanned at the two.

"Well, if you guys are done playing detective, then can we move on already?" Junior ordered, already impatient.

Growl*

They turned their head, this time finding a bigger and uglier-looking wolf-like thingy facing them, unlike the wolfs from earlier, this one is not only bigger in size, but also had more boney spikes sporting across its whole body.

"Huh, if I were to make a guess, I say that guy probably is the boss." Larry pointed a finger at the monster that made its appearance known.

Howl* The bigger wolf howls toward the sky, like some kind of werewolf from a fairy tale.

...

"Was that supposed to be an attempt to scare us?" Roy deadpanned, visually disappointed.

leaf rustling*

Until more and more black wolves show up, surrounding them from all sides.

"Looks like they doesn't want us to leave." Lemmy says as he looks around, finding another wave of black wolves surrounding them as backups.

"Well then? Bring it on! I'll defeat as many as I have to" Junior declared as he aimed his paintbrush at the Alpha monster.

The rest of the Koopalings took battle stance again, preparing for another round of battle.

- Playing music: Mario Luigi: Paper Jam Music - Boss battle -

The Alpha beast lunged at Junior, who smirked as he knows this one must be the strongest, jumped out of the way, he looked at the rest of Koopalings. "This one is mine!"

Roy looked over his shoulder as he was surrounded by 4 normal beasts, rolling his eyes, he replied. "Hey! Squirt, that's not fair!"

"Is now seriously the timing for picking enemies?" Wendy scolded her hothead brother as she makes a backflip to dodge one beast's bite.

"LESS TALK! MORE FIGHT!" Morton yelled as he grabbed a beast by the lags, and slammed it onto another beast like it was a bat.

"Bahahaha! He gets the idea!" Iggy cackled as he drop-kicked a beast in the skull.

Focus back on the Koopa prince and the big boss, the beast locked its eyes on Junior, finding him to be the most dangerous and troublesome of the group, as earlier it was watching their fight with its kin.

The ability to summon creatures from a pile of goop is dangerous, as if he is mimicking the nature of the Grimm Spawning Pool, this one needs to be taken out first.

With that in mind, the alpha lunged at Junior again, and brought its claws to slash him, unleashing a furor of strikes, Junior just maneuvering around the big beast like this is all but a game, using his paintbrush to parry the strike when it came close.

He smirks in excitement. "Not bad, not bad, but not good either!" He uses more power in this next parry, knocking the beast's claw away, before jumping toward its face and kicking it in the jaw, following with a roundhouse swing of his brush like a bat on the beast's side waist, and a headbutt to send the beast on its back.

The beast was pushed back a few feet, it held its jaw in pain, it did not expect this little one to have this much strength behind its kick. But trial and error, never underestimate a prey.

Changing of tactic, it roars and goes on all four, then circling around Junior, attempting to use speed-fight to out-smart its prey, aiming to break out a single moment of opening, and a bite to the neck to end this miserable lifeform.

Junior was amused by this. "So you know you can't win with brawn, and you choose to win with speed? Clever, but I have fought Mario before, and he's more agile than you!" Grinning, he retreats to his shell… or rather, in this case, forms a physical illusion that is his Koopa shell to cocoon himself. It was weird indeed, as they no longer resemble their Koopa biology, but like Junior is gonna care, if it works, it works.

This proved to be not what the beast was expecting, as it slows down on its path and tilted its head at the sight it was witnessing.

Junior's shell spinning was proven far faster than the beast could react, as he zips past the beast left and right, before striking it from multiple angles, the high speed making the spikes on his shell a deadly bayblade, with his fast zipping, Junior manages to cause few cuts on the beast's limbs. Slowly and surely pushing the beast back and cornered. Finally, he came out of the shell, before swinging his paintbrush at the beast's face, temporarily blinding it.

Howl* The beast howls in pain as it can't see, not only wounded, but also humiliated, in a fit of rage, it swings its claw randomly, making a desperate move of struggling, swinging its claw around in literal blinds, hoping to get some lucky hit. Of course, in its dream. Junior will never let a clown like this to hit him.

Having enough fun with his enemy, Junior decides it's time to finish it, adjusting the ink color, Junior spreads his inks again with a swing, produces the flamming inks that behave like lava-kind substance, trapping the beast in a literal burning hell. Before opening his mouth to take a deep inhale, and shoots one big fireball at the beast's face, setting its whole body on fire, burning it alive.

Looking around, he saw the Koopalings had just dealt with the other weakling at the same time, as those clowns' bodies are dissolving into mist.

Dusting his hands, Ludwig looked at Junior. "Well, are you satisfied now, Lord Junior?"

Said prince shooting him a grin. "Could be better, but ehh, this will do." Many rolled their eyes at his hard to pleased stander, but said nothing otherwise.

It was then around this time a weird-looking metal aircraft flew toward them overhead.

From the hanger of the Bullhead, Glynda looked at the group of teenagers with surprise, they can take care of themselves just fine, whoever they are, they're skilled, especially the unorthodox method some of them use.

Biting her lower lips in nervousness, Glynda prayed. 'Ozpin, I hope you know what you're doing.' Are they friends? Or foes? She could only hope for the best.

With the aircraft parked, she then approaches the group, already having a script in her mind of getting these people to Beacon without provoking.

"I do not know how or why a group of teenagers without authorization is in Emerald Forest, but that can be discussed later, this isn't a safe place for talk, please come on board."

They looked at each other, just as she expected, faces of uncertainty and skepticism shared among them, then quickly turned their backs and huddled together to discuss something privately, no doubt having their own wage of whether to trust her or not. With what sounded like an aggressive mutter back and forth later, they turned back to her, the one in formal dress and blue hair spoke.

"Of course, we… apologized for our trespassing, a little accident happens, which is why we're here, you're?..."

"Professor Glynda Goodwitch of Beacon Academy, now please get on board before more Grimm shows up."

"Grimm? So that's what those are called." The Faunus mutters to himself.

They said nothing and followed her request. None seems to be paying her any mind… except the one with the paintbrush. The red hair kid just stares at her for a moment, his eyes show signs that he's reminded of someone, before shrugging and turning away.

"So, Miss Goodwitch, if you don't mind me asking, where might you take us to?" The fluffy blue hair Faunus asks.

"To Beacon Academy, but before that, we have to pick up another person." This seems to pick up the Faunus' interest. Let's see if she can fish for more info. "Interestingly enough, he was wearing some sort of mascot suit of a planet-like monster of all the things, with a red head with white dots and yellow flower petals."

Several heads of theirs perked up at the mention of the appearance of the mascot.

"Planet-like monster?" The girl with the pink bow says.

"Red-head with white dots?" The boy with sunglasses says.

"Yellow flower petals?" The boy with light-blue mohawk says.

They looked at each other before speaking in unison. "It's Petey."

"Petey?" Glynda smirked under her poke face, but was confused by the reply. That's a name right?

"Petey Piranha. He's… a friend of ours." The blue hair says, hesitating a bit in his word. As if waging how much he should reveal to her.

Glynda narrowed her eyes, but did not pursue. 'Now is not the timing. There will be plenty more chances.' Although, Petey Piranha? That is a strange name if she ever heard one.

Sending the pilot their next coordinate, the Bullhead moved to a different part of the forest, the teens, however, do show a degree of curiosity when the aircraft took off, although they quickly act like nothing big deal.

During the short flight, they didn't exchange any words, only occasionally looking at others, while some focused on the scenery of the outside from the window panel.

It was then Glynda's scroll rings. Breaking the silence.

"Headmaster?" She picked up the call, expecting to hear either Ozpin tell him their guest was awakened, or he had something he wanted to ask her.

Only to hear Ozpin tell her the man was devoured by the King Taijitu. Of all news.

"What?!" She almost yelled, trying her best to not make their uninvite guests get suspicious.

"Then what do you suggest I do? I talked with them to confirm they and this person have a relationship. They say they know this man to some degree."

[Don't worry, I believe the man is not dead.] Ozpin's claim only makes her even more confused.

[After he was swallowed, the King Taijitu began to feel unwell, before starting to howl in pain. It's best if you see it for yourself.] Again, even in a situation like this, Ozpin still had to play riddles.

And with that, Ozpin hung up the call, leaving a confused Glynda who later groaned silently.

- Time Skip -

They arrived at the location where the man and King Taijitu were last spotted by the hidden camera, watching through the windows, the giant Grimm snake was still there, but as Ozpin said, it didn't look to be well. It was constantly twisting its body, as if it was in some sort of internal pain.

The mystery was solved when something bursts out from the middle part of King Taijitu's body.

GASP* The man in the mascot suit actually manages to bust through the giant snake's flesh and thick scale, covered in some black tar-like substance, he breathed heavily for fresh air.

"Hey, that really is Petey." The Faunus with multi-color mohawk says as he presses his face at the window.

"Has he turned into a human like us?"

"Was that a giant two-head snake?"

"Hey move it, I can't see anything!"

The others try to shove him away as they all want to get a better look.

Glynda watches with a deadpan look, there are other windows right next, they don't have to fight at all. But she did not fail to catch on to the weird term they used.

'Has he turned into a human like us?' What does that mean? Transformation? What exactly is going on with them?

Focusing back at the man, he quickly jumped out of the meshy escape hole he made, before turning and facing the giant snake once more, his expression tells that he doesn't look too happy at the devouring experience.

Then, in an instant, he quickly rushed toward the black head of the snake, and punched super hard on the center bone plate of the head.

The force behind his punch was massive as the black head was immediately flattened upon hitting the ground, the red eyes bulging out, and the head buried in the dirt as the ground cracked.

The white head howled in pain as its black counterpart probably just died from one punch.

The mascot suit man wasn't done yet, he jumped toward the remaining head and punched it in the cheek.

Again, the force was so great it sent the snake flying, and yanking the dead head off the ground, the whole snake body smashed into a nearby cliff.

Knowing the enemy is defeated, Petey roars toward the air, holding both hands up triumphantly.

The Koopalings and Junior cheered as they watched Petey making an awesome finish on an enemy, despite not knowing what that thing was. Meanwhile, Glynda's jaw was hanging as she could not process what she just witnessed.

'Just who exactly are these people?'

Bowser Kingdom Boss Minion Profile: The Endless Hunger - Petey Piranha

"GLARBA GLAKBORKA!"

This colossal Piranha Plant is unlike anything its pipe-inhabiting cousins that many might be familiar with in the Mushroom World. As Petey uses its legs to walk around, a feat only certain sub-species of Piranha Plant can do. And Petey can also fly, too. As you might expect, Petey often appears as a boss character in Mario's adventures.

Being a rare breed mutation of Piranha Plants, Petey inherited the mobile physical trait of Bean Piranha, a bipedal sub-species; and the unrivaled raw strength of Dino Piranha, a dinosaur-like sub-species of the Piranha Plants. With such outstanding genes, Petey automatically stood out from the crowd among his green brethren.

This may come as a surprise, but Petey also displays surprising dexterity in kart races and ball games despite his clumsy frame. He was also the champion holder of Soccer Games and Limbo Dance.

However, due to the mutant nature of its biology, Petey has a much stronger metabolism activity compared to its plant kin, thus making it seek foods all the time, which leads to the habit of devouring anything that looked edible.

Also, despite being a planet that is hermaphrodite, Petey usually goes by He as pronoun.
