XXXXX.
"Remind me why you are going?" She hears Scott's voice behind her.
"Because I promised Lexi and Sara," Cora replies as she settles her eyes on her reflection in the mirror, checking that her lipstick is even and wiping the edge of her lips with her fingertip. "I promised I'd have a drink with them and be sociable. You know, talk about men, and clothes. They've been worried about me since the whole EOS thing." She adds before teasing her hair back into place.
"Well, they care about you and don't like seeing you struggling," Scott says from his spot sitting on the bed. "You know, that is the least Cora thing you've ever said in the time I've known you." He chuckles.
Cora smiles to herself when she hears his reply, giving herself a final once over in the mirror to check that she's ready to go and do something she really wasn't keen on doing. Scott was right, this wasn't really her style and she didn't do small talk as much as she didn't do parties. But, she'd promised she would and she was trying hard to smooth things over and keep a good relationship with Sara and so far, things had been better. Maybe they wouldn't bother to invite her next time when they realised how bad she was at interacting with other people. She moves away from the sink and mirror in their bathroom and steps back into the main room. Cora immediately feels Scott's eyes on her and when she looks at him she notices he is still sitting on the edge of their bed.
"Wow.." Scott smiles at her as she watches his eyes travel over her and then return to her face. "You look incredible." He adds as his smile widens and he nods making her body warm at his complement.
"You're just saying that.." Cora returns his smile and hears him laugh and shake his head at her. "Well, thank you." She whispers before she turns her attention back to the shoes she's decided she's going to wear. "I won't be late," Cora adds as she slips her feet into them and begins trying to do them up at her ankle.
"Come here.." She hears Scott begin and raises her eyes to see him motioning for her to let him help. "We don't want you breaking a bone, El-Tee." Scott grins at her as she carefully totters closer to him and lifts her foot for him to fasten her shoe, feeling him rest her heel on his lap so he can reach the buckle.
"Unfortunately that is a real concern." Cora giggles when she feels him finishing the first and moving on to her next shoe. "Especially without you to hold me up." She adds and notices his smile widen at her words and feels him let go of her foot when he's finished until she is standing in front of him.
"Do you want me to come with you?" Scott asks as his eyes meet hers and she feels him placing his palms on the back of her thighs and drawing her closer between his knees until he can wrap his arms around her legs.
"It wouldn't be a girl's night if I brought my husband." She replies with a smile which makes him laugh. "Boyfriend.." Cora laughs releasing what she has said and lifting her fingers to cover her mouth. "I meant boyfriend." Cora giggles when he holds her tighter in his arms.
"Husband huh?" Scott grins at her.
"You know what I mean." Cora giggles and places her hands on his cheeks so she can stroke the patchy hair on his face and then run her fingers through the hair at his temple. When she looks down into his face she notices he is watching her closely.
"Are you sure you want to go? I'm sure they'd understand if you aren't feeling it." Scott whispers noticing he slides his hands slowly up and down her legs which only makes her forget for a moment what they were talking about when she feels his palms moving over the material of her jeans and that his fingertips tuck into her pockets.
"I'm not sure.." She replies and looks into his eyes. "Especially when you touch me like that," Cora adds with a smile which he returns. "Don't get me started on when you look at me like that." She giggles quietly as she bends down to press her mouth against his. "Baby, I have to go.." She smiles into the kiss when he places his palms on the back of her legs again.
"Just five more minutes." Scott smiles as she feels him reluctantly remove his hands from her so she can move but then take hold of her hand and draw her down onto his lap. "You smell and taste amazing." He whispers drawing her closer so he can kiss her again, his fingers beneath her chin before she feels the tip of his tongue and his mouth open and inviting.
"Scott Ryder, you can't talk me out of it with your mouth." Cora sighs into the kiss, noticing her words make him laugh when he breaks their kiss. "You know how hard it is to leave you." She giggles and climbs off of his lap, glancing into his face and noticing that some of her lipstick is now on his mouth.
"I wasn't talking with my mouth.." Scott smiles at her so she lifts her finger to wipe away the dark plumb colour that she's left there, giggling at his words and knowing if he kept kissing her she wouldn't make it out at all. "Just go and have fun. Make sure you miss me loads." He laughs before she strokes his cheek again.
"You know I will," Cora replies as she steps towards the door and turns to blow him a kiss, smiling to herself when he catches it and lifts it to his lips. "I'll bring you back some ice cream." She smiles before heading out of the door of their room and into the main hub of the Nexus.
Cora glances around her and she walks further from the door, noticing that at this time of the evening, there are still plenty of people wandering around the station, mostly in groups as they have finished their work for the day and are enjoying what the Nexus has to offer. Although Cora knew not everything was open yet because they didn't yet have all the Ark's docked, they now had the extra Ark that Scott and his team had tracked down and that meant an additional Pathfinder and some additional inhabitants on the Nexus.
Some more facilities were being opened, extra housing for the extra bodies, as well as additional past times like an extra couple of bars and cafes. An extra gym, and extra meeting rooms. They were nowhere near finished, but things were starting to feel busier now. Cora begins walking through the station, knowing that she had agreed to meet Sara and Lexi at one of the newly opened bars and that they would be waiting for her there. She makes her way to the tram station, boarding the next one that is heading her way and joining all of the other AI members that seem to be going there too. When the tram finally arrives at its final stop of the section that contains the bars and restaurants, Cora steps out and lets her feet automatically follow the crowd that seems to have the same idea as her.
"Cora, over here!" She hears Lexi's voice calling her as she approaches the open-fronted bar, letting her eyes settle on a high metal table that has been set up outside, along with a few others. Noticing at once that Lexi and Sara are both sitting on stools and are looking at her. "Well look at you," Lexi adds as she reaches them and Cora notices she takes in the sight of her so she does a little twirl on the spot and then smiles her thanks.
"You do look lovely, Cora." Sara smiles and motions for her to sit on the stool beside her. "It's so nice to see you out and about. How are you?" She continues as Cora pulls out the stool far enough before lowering herself onto it.
"I'm feeling better than I was," Cora replies. "And It's nice to see you both and take my mind off of all of that." She smiles and lets the tips of her shoes come into contact with the bottom rung of the stool, wriggling until she's comfortable. "I didn't want to be outdone by you two." She smiles again and notices that both Lexi and Sara are dressed for a night out.
"I'm surprised Scott didn't want to keep you all to himself." Lexi smiles as Cora looks over her shoulder when she hears someone approach and stand behind her, wondering if it's someone taking their order.
"Who says he didn't." Cora giggles before she lets her eyes settle on the head of long dark hair, her heart sinking when she realises who it is and that she isn't here to get her anything from the bar.
"Sorry, I should have said that Louisa is joining us." Sara begins and Cora is sure she feels her face drain of colour, she'd been doing such a good job of avoiding Scott's ex in the few months that they'd both been living on the same station. "We should have waited before ordering.." Sara continues and motions to the glasses that Louisa places in front of her and Lexi.
"It's fine." Cora smiles lightly, trying to keep her voice even. "I can get my own drink." She adds as she looks at Lexi who gives her a sympathetic smile and then at Louisa who lowers herself onto the stool beside Sara.
"I'll get it." Lexi smiles at her before lifting her hand to squeeze Cora's arm gently. "What would you like?" She asks with another smile.
"Thanks, Lexi. Maybe something fruity?" She replies with a nod of thanks.
Cora watches Lexi stand and walk away from the table, wishing that she hadn't just left her alone with the woman that had tried to come between her and Scott all those months ago. She knew that she and Sara were best friends, but she also knew that Sara didn't know about her twin and Louisa from HR's relationship. Scott had told her she'd left him heartbroken when she'd refused to come to Andromeda with him. Louisa had been doing a good job of trying to come between her and Scott, and she'd never forgive her for trying to make a move on him. Scott was completely off-limits.
Cora looks across the table and watches as Sara and Louisa say something to each other before they break into fits of giggles, only the way that best friends that are on the same wavelength can.
"Sorry, Cora.." Sara begins and fixes her eyes on her, the second time in a few minutes that she's apologising. "Louisa was about to tell us about a guy she's been seeing. Apparently, he's pretty amazing and works in requisition." She continues before looking at her friend beside her as if she's waiting for Lou to continue the story.
"I'm sure Cora doesn't want to hear about it." Louisa giggles in an over-the-top way and lowers her head to wrap her bright red lips around her straw, taking a large draw from it Cora notices but stares straight at her over the top of the glass. "Not when she'd get so jealous. Being stuck with your awful brother." She giggles again and leans into Sara as if to show she thinks she's being funny and Cora sets her jaw tightly. Bitch.
"That's not very nice, Lou," Sara replies and Cora notices she lowers her eyes for a moment and she can tell she doesn't like what she's said about Scott, and that she lifts her own drink to her mouth to cover her frown. Cora so wished she could tell Sara the truth and wipe the smirk off of Louisa's face, but she didn't want to hurt Scott or cause issues for Sara. She also knew she didn't have to fight Scott's battles.
"Why don't you tell us all about him?" Cora laughs lightly when Louisa stops giggling and fixes her eyes on her, making her notice that Sara does the same. Cora feels Lexi approach the table and place a tall, orange and fruity-looking drink in front of her. "Thanks, Lexi." She smiles at her as the Asari returns to the seat beside her.
"I don't want to." Louisa sniffs and takes another sip of her drink.
"You're always so keen to talk about Scott, but not this new man?" Cora laughs and takes her own drink in her hand, feeling the condensation beneath her fingertips. "My boyfriend must have done something to deserve all your attention." She says and lifts her eyes to Sara when she hears her laugh at her words which makes Louisa huff.
"He doesn't need my attention.." Louisa scoffs. "Everyone at this table knows he's slept with half of the Nexus, the majority of the Citadel and anything with a pulse when he was stationed." She adds and it's Cora's turn to scoff quietly when she hears what she's said, wondering when she'd gone from talking about how great Scott is to insulting him so much.
"Oh really?" Cora replies trying to keep her voice calm, but folds her arms in front of her as she glares at Louisa. "I don't know why you feel the need to make up these lies about him. Every time I hear something negative about Scott, it has your name attached to it." She sighs and glances at Sara who is looking uncomfortable.
"Scott is a great guy and a really great Pathfinder. You two have been together since Theia, isn't that right?" Lexi asks and glances at Cora who nods and gives her a grateful smile for sticking up for him.
"It's not my fault your precious Scott is a cheat and a liar." Louisa begins and Cora notices she glares at her over the table, making her bite her tongue to stop from lashing out at her. "He'll soon get bored and move on to the next one." She continues as Cora feels her skin prickle at her words, recognising them from what Sara had told her those 600 years ago when they were on Theia and realising they probably came from second-hand from Louisa.
"Can you please stop bad-mouthing my brother?" Sara huffs and Louisa nods lightly and crosses her own arms, defensively in front of her. Cora watches her lower her eyes to the ground. "I thought you were friends? He might have a reputation.." She adds which is directed at Louisa who just shrugs lightly.
"I think we need more drinks.." Lexi whispers and Cora feels her place her hand on her back for a moment, making her wonder if it's a sign to try and cool down or that she is on her side. "Would anyone like another?" She adds and Cora can tell she's trying to divert the conversation.
"Sara, Scott has a reputation because of Louisa. None of it is true, and it hurts him that she still spreads this shit about him. He has never cheated or slept around despite what Louisa says about him. He is the most faithful and loyal man you could ever meet." Cora huffs and lets her eyes settle on Sara who looks at Louisa and then back to her.
"What did he ever do to you?" Sara asks Louisa who still sits with an angry gaze fixed on her face. "You used to like him when we were back home. He really liked you." She continues which receives a sigh from Louisa who lowers her eyes.
Cora didn't think she needed to hear how much Scott had liked this woman who appeared so fake and full of herself, but maybe she'd changed since then. Louisa had really hurt Scott and Cora just couldn't understand how he'd ever gotten close to someone that seemed as unkind and bitter as her. Scott radiated happiness and he didn't deserve to be treated badly like this, especially by someone happy to spread rumours about him too.
"You clearly know nothing about him," Cora says to her with a smile. "He is the complete opposite of everything you've ever said he is. Apart from when you and all of your girlfriends were comparing notes about him. He's pretty amazing at that." She adds with a laugh and notices Louisa looking briefly at Sara to see if she understands.
"I wasn't going to bring this up tonight. But, you need to me and at least have the decency to tell me the truth now." Sara huffs. "I know you were sleeping with him or whatever it was between you." She mumbles which draws Louisa's eyes to her friend.
"Sara.." Louisa begins but Sara shakes her head lightly at her and takes another sip of her drink, looking like she is trying to stop her hands from shaking. "That's not true and he was just obsessed with me. Always following me around and he wouldn't leave me alone." She laughs weakly making Cora huff at her words, she very much doubted that was true.
"Surely it's the other way around? You are always hanging around him and trying to get him on his own. You need to leave him alone." Cora says as Louisa glances at her and then back at Sara, the expression on her face of someone that has been caught out and is still trying to lie their way out. She wondered if she'd ever met Alec, he did exactly the same thing.
"It meant nothing, and I really didn't want him to tell you." Louisa sighs and Cora notices that she stands from her stool and looks like she isn't going to be staying, she also didn't look very convinced of what she was saying.
"Well, he did." Sara nods and her eyes focus on Cora for a moment. "It should have been you that told me. Did you really expect me to believe everything you said about him? I know my brother, clearly better than you do." She adds as Cora lifts her hand and places it on Sara's forearm to give her some silent support.
Cora doesn't raise her eyes to watch Louisa go and keeps them on Sara, who looks like she's shocked that she's finally stood up to her. She hears her push the stool in angrily and and the angry tap tap tap that her heals make as she storms away. Cora watches Sara take another, much longer sip of her drink before placing it down on the table in front of her.
"You don't need friends like that, Sara." Lexi begins making Cora glance at her and nod in agreement. "Not ones that try to make things difficult for you. You've got much better friends than that." She adds motioning to Cora making her smile lightly and nod again.
"Scott really told you about them?" She asks and notices Sara nods.
"Yeah." Sara smiles and Cora can see that there is no anger in her reply. "He said it was part of his plan to do better and we all know he's a terrible liar." She laughs making Cora smile when she remembers that he had all of these great ideas to improve himself. "You knew about them?" Sara asks making her wonder if she's going to be angry at her for not telling her the truth.
"Yes, he's a terrible liar." Cora smiles and notices Sara returns it. "He told me the day we left for Andromeda. He also told me she broke his heart." She adds and hears Sara sigh quietly, wondering if she was feeling guilty for introducing Louisa to her twin. "I think that's one reason he was so keen to leave," Cora adds and notices Sara's eyes are fixed on her.
Cora knew there was a whole list of reasons why Scott had wanted to leave for Andromeda, mostly the damage that had been done when he'd been forced out of the Alliance, but also the chance to leave anyone behind that had hurt him. Cora had ended up doing the same and now they were both getting a fresh start together.
"I saw the way she looked at him," Sara says and Cora notices she moves uncomfortably in her seat. "Whenever she'd put him down I could see in her eyes she didn't mean it." She continues with a light sigh. "I really had no idea that they'd been a thing." Sara nods lightly and lowers her eyes.
"I don't think he wanted to hurt you." Cora begins which draws Sara's eyes up. "He didn't want it to cause problems between you two. When we split up she was trying her best to get him back and get her claws into him. I couldn't forgive her for that." She sighs lightly when she tries to push away the memory of Louisa kissing Scott.
"Really?" Sara asks so Cora nods. "Scott didn't tell me that part." She adds with a small smile. "What a bitch." Sara laughs quietly making Cora smile.
"Do you think she actually still likes him?" Lexi asks as Sara shrugs lightly "Was the last time she was around when Sara came out of stasis?" She adds and Cora shakes her head at the question.
"No.." Sara says and glances between Cora and Lexi. "She visited him a few times after he had the ezo exposure didn't she?" She adds and Cora notices that Lexi nods as if she is now remembering that she had seen Louisa since. "A handful of times with me at least." Sara nods.
"Your right. She was there on her own a lot, too." Lexi nods.
"Conveniently visiting him when I couldn't be there." Cora laughs and hears Lexi and Sara do too. "Do you think I should feel sorry for her? If she still has feelings for him?" She asks Sara who she notices takes a moment to think about it.
"Definitely not!" Sara laughs. "If it was Liam that she'd tried it on with. Knowing that he was with someone else.." She adds and takes another drink from her glass. "She should respect that. You two are going to be together forever and she should back off." Sara smiles at Cora.
"I hope so." Cora returns her smile and then glances at Lexi. "How did I end up with such a genuinely great guy? How impossible are they to find?" She adds and smiles at Sara and then at Lexi.
"Impossible." Lexi nods in agreement.
"I'm sorry she ruined our quiet drink." Sara smiles and lowers her eyes for a moment. "I should probably go and speak to her, though. I don't think we'll be like we were but she deserves a chance to tell me the whole truth." She continues so Cora nods in agreement, Sara was clearly just as forgiving as her brother.
"You are a better friend than she deserves." Lexi smiles and Cora watches her lean over and pat Sara on the arm.
"Before you go.." Cora begins which she notices draws both of their eyes to her. "I just wanted to run something by you both and see what you think." She continues and sees them nod, waiting for her to tell them what she has planned.
"Oh, you said you wanted our advice?" Sara asks drawing her attention back to Scott's twin, nodding lightly when she remembers that she had mentioned that and wondering if she should be even mentioning it at all or just following her heart.
"Okay, so.." Cora nods lightly and looks between Sara across from her and then at Lexi, suddenly feeling the light flutter of nerves when she wonders if she should just stop now. "I was thinking of asking Scott to marry me." She mumbles quietly and lets her eyes stay on Sara to wait for her reaction.
"Are you serious?!" Sara suddenly squeals and jumps off of her stool when Cora nods and runs around the edge of the table to throw her arms around her. "I think that is an amazing idea." She continues as Cora feels her squeezing her tightly so she hugs her back.
"You do?" She asks and glances at Lexi who is grinning at her.
"Yes, and I know Scott will be so happy." Sara continues with another squeeze. "We're going to be related. I've always wanted a sister. Well, sort of a sister." She laughs making Cora smile to herself and feel glad she did tell her. Cora feels Sara let go of her and return to her seat.
"When are you going to do it?" Lexi asks as she looks at her friend.
"I haven't really decided yet. We're coming up to our anniversary and I'm trying to get us a day or two of leave together." Cora nods and sees that Lexi's smile widens. "I just wanted to see what you two thought." She adds and when she looks back to Sara can see she's beaming.
Cora had to admit she wasn't sure what Sara would say, especially with everything that had happened with Alec, but she was becoming a good friend and all she wanted was for her brother to be happy. Cora knew it had taken a lot for Sara to trust her again, but she'd taken Scott's lead and given her another chance.
"That is so exciting." Sara smiles making Cora warm when she realises they will be family and that Scott had been right all those months ago that he and Sara came as a package deal. "After all that excitement I'm going to find Louisa." She adds with a nod and stands again.
"Good luck." Cora laughs quietly.
"If we're leaving, I think I'm going to go chat up that new Pathfinder," Lexi says with a giggle. "Maybe I'll buy her a drink or two," Lexi adds making Cora smile when she hears her friend's plan.
Cora glances over her shoulder and lets her eyes move towards the bar inside where Lexi is now looking. She spots the newest AI Pathfinder, Vederia standing at the bar and looking to be ordering a drink for herself. Cora notices that she is on her own and wonders if she is feeling as overwhelmed by her new position as Scott was feeling when she turns her attention back to Lexi who is still watching her closely.
"Vederia? The Asari Pathfinder?" Cora smiles at Lexi as her attention returns to them. "She seems really nice when we spoke to her. Scott and I are going to help her while she finds her feet." She adds and notices her words making Lexi smile and appreciative smile.
"I wonder if she needs a new doctor," Lexi whispers making Cora and Sara laugh out loud. "I am most qualified." She adds so Cora rolls her eyes at her.
"You should go and find out." Cora gives Lexi a positive nod and begins motioning for her to go. "I think she'd be glad of your company. It's hard being new." She adds and sees that Lexi gives her a grateful smile.
"You don't mind?" Lexi asks so Cora just laughs quietly and shakes her head.
"Of course not," Cora replies as Lexi's smile widens. "I'm going to get some ice cream and get back to my Scott." She adds looking towards the bar and wondering if they'd give her a whole tub to take back to him. In truth she didn't mind that their night was coming to an end, she couldn't wait to get back to him.
—/—
Cora holds the tub of ice cream in one hand and raises her other to unlock the door to their room, noticing it quickly slide open so she can enter. As soon as he's heard the door Cora feels Scott's eyes on her and sees that he is laying on their bed and looks like he is part way through watching a movie, relaxing against their pillows with his legs crossed in front of him. She watches as a smile stretches onto his face when their eyes meet and she walks further into the room.
"Hey." Scott smiles at her. "You weren't gone long? Although I was starting to miss you.." He continues before his eyes lower to the tub of ice cream in her hands and she can tell he knows what it is. "What flavour is it?" Scott asks as his eyes return to hers and she shrugs lightly.
"I think it might be vanilla," Cora replies and can see that he frowns slightly at her response and that he turns off his film with a flick of his fingers and then sits up and shuffles to the edge of the bed until his feet meet the floor.
"It better not be boring vanilla." Scott laughs as he stands from the bed. "I'll get some bowls." He adds and goes to move but she places her hand on his chest which draws his eyes to her.
"I think I'd rather use your body." Cora giggles quietly when she watches his brow lift in surprise and then his eyes move over her face and then lower until they roam over her body again. "Take your clothes off." She smiles as his attention returns to her and his smile widens.
"Really?" He grins. "Alright, I'm in." Scott nods as she lets her own eyes lower and watches as his hands move to the bottom of his t-shirt, making her smile to herself when he tugs it up and off. "Do I at least get to eat ice cream out of your belly button?" Scott smiles at her as he continues to strip himself as quickly as he can and wriggles out of his shorts until he's just in his boxers.
"Only my belly button?" She giggles hearing him let out a deep breath when he hears it. "Maybe you better get some spoons," Cora adds which makes him chuckle and quickly run towards their kitchen to fetch them.
Cora looks over her shoulder at Scott as he begins searching for some spoons for the ice cream, rummaging in a drawer before he finds them. She watches him approaching her and the bed again so she places the ice cream down on the side table until they are ready for it. She feels Scott stop behind her and lift his hands to place them on her arms, feeling how warm his skin is on hers as he leans closer to kiss the side of her neck making her smile.
"I'm all yours." He whispers against her neck.
"Yes, you are." Cora smiles to herself when she thinks about his words again, he was hers and no jealous ex would ever come between them. "Get on the bed." She whispers and notices he nods and moves past her and returns to his place leaning against the headboard. "Scott get rid of those." Cora giggles and motions towards his boxers which he does as he's told and drops them to the floor.
"Why aren't you naked and I am?" Scott chuckles as she watches him get comfortable amongst their pillows again and stretch his legs out in front of him. "Come on, I want ice cream." He laughs as she sees him take hold of the ice cream tub and start prying the lid off so he can see what flavour it is. "Chocolate." He grins as his eyes return to her.
"You have to be patient ." Cora whispers which makes him laugh knowing neither of them were able to be patient around each other.
"You know I can't be pat.." Scott begins but then gets caught up in watching her and appears to have lost his voice when Cora bends down to unbuckle her shoes before kicking them off.
Even though she isn't looking at Scott she can tell he's watching her closely. Cora knew she was always able to feel his eyes on her and as she stands up straight and looks towards him on the bed, she notices that he rubs his hand absentmindedly down his chest to his stomach as he watches her. She begins by undoing her jeans and squeezing them and her underwear down off of her hips before turning around and wriggling them down over her behind, giving him a little show that she knows he'll love. It was his favourite part of her after all and she hears him make an appreciative sound as she lets her clothes pool at her feet.
"Keep going." Scott laughs making her turn around to face him again and fix her eyes on his as she takes hold of the bottom of her top in her fingertips and lifts it to show him some bare skin. "You're driving me crazy.." She hears him sigh quietly and can see that his eyes aren't on her face anymore and are moving down her body when she lets to join the rest of their clothes and is finally naked.
"I'm just getting started." She replies and giggles when she watches Scott pick up a pillow and place it over his naked body that she knows is showing her how much he's enjoying it. "Are you getting shy?" Cora smiles at him and sees him shake his head.
"No, way.." Scott chuckles as she climbs onto the bed and crawls towards him. "I'm just getting a bit excited." He laughs as she pulls the pillow away from him and throws it over the side of the bed, hearing it land with a quiet thud.
"A bit?" Cora returns his smile and feels his eyes meet hers as she places her hands on his shoulders and lifts her leg to straddle him. "I'd say you're more than a bit excited." She whispers feeling how his body reacts to hers when she lowers herself so she can sit on his thighs, noticing he lets out a disappointed sigh when she purposefully avoids touching him. "Why don't you touch yourself?" Cora continues and watches a smile stretch onto his lips that makes her want to touch him too.
"I thought you wanted ice cream?" Scott replies making her giggle and return his smile when he sighs in defeat and she fixes her eyes on his hand that slides down his chest and between them. Cora hears him groan quietly and his eyes close briefly when he wraps his hand around himself, she feels his legs move beneath her.
"How does that feel?" Cora whispers as his eyes open and fixes on her.
"Good," Scott mumbles and she watches him bite his bottom lip and his brow furrow as he does as she asks and strokes himself. Cora lowers her eyes to watch him again, knowing her body is flushing just from watching the way his hand is moving. "Can I touch you?" He huffs quietly which draws her eyes to his but she shakes her head.
"Not yet." She whispers but places her hands on his shoulders and then slides them down to his chest, noticing he sighs when she touches him. "I love watching you." Cora grins as she bites her lip and looks into his face, spotting the telltale red flush on his cheeks and chest. "Your so sexy, Scott." She giggles before leaning closer and kissing him hard on the mouth until he begins panting against her lips.
Cora feels Scott's legs moving beneath her and that his breathing becomes shorter when she lets her tongue meet his, noticing he groans when she slips her hand between them to join his. She feels him remove his fist and his hand finds its way into her hair so he can kiss her back, his groans increasing when she jerks him harder and she feels him trying not to lift his hips. Cora hears him let out a deep sigh when she moves back and lets go of him, noticing he tries to steady his breathing and his eyes meet hers as he leans against the headboard.
"What are you trying to do to me?" Scott pants making her smile at his words.
"Making you work for your ice cream. Do you want some?" Cora giggles hearing him laugh and continues to try and keep his breathing even when he nods.
"I need something to cool me down." Scott sighs which makes her laugh. Cora reaches for the ice cream and one of the spoons, using it to scoop it out of the tub and hold it out for him to try it. "That's actually pretty good." He nods when he's tasted it.
"Yeah?" Cora replies and notices he nods as she leans over so that she can return the spoon to the tub that is now waiting on the mattress beside them. "It does taste better this way." She giggles scooping the soon-to-be melting ice cream onto it.
"I agree.." Scott sighs quietly when she watches him settle back against the headboard and feels him rest his hands on her hips. "Even if it is really sticky." He grins so she lifts the spoon to his lips so he can take it into his mouth.
"I know, look at the mess your making." Cora giggles when she watches a drop escape his lips so she moves to press herself against his chest, letting the tip of her tongue lick the ice cream from his lips and the edge of his mouth. She hears him groan quietly.
"Hey, this was your idea.." Scott chuckles and she feels his hands slowly sliding up the bare skin of her back so he can draw her closer to him, lightly brushing his mouth against hers in a gentle kiss that makes her sigh.
"I promise to clean you up." Cora smiles into their kiss feeling his smile widen beneath her mouth and he nods.
"So did you have fun?" Scott sighs when she lets the tip of her tongue meet his bottom lip. "Did you talk about clothes and men?" He chuckles as Cora sits back onto his lap, noticing that he is watching her when their eyes meet.
"Louisa is such a bitch. I don't understand what you saw in her." Cora huffs and then gives him a small smile when she notices that he looks confused by her words. She leans over to scoop what is almost the last of the solid ice cream from the tub and onto her spoon.
"She was there?" He asks so she nods as she returns to her previous position of straddling Scott's waist. "I thought it was supposed to be just Lexi and Sar?" Scott continues which turns into a quiet groan when her naked body moves on top of his.
"I thought so too.." She begins as she squeezes him between her thighs. "She was saying all of these horrible and untrue things about you. Was she always like that?" Cora continues and feels him sliding his hands up her back to get her to look at him.
"I guess so. She was usually mean to me." Scott shrugs lightly making her shake her head at him, why would he love someone that was like that? But hadn't she been the same with Alec? "I don't think she liked me much." He adds with a smile.
"I think she likes you more than you think." She replies but feels him lean closer to press his lips against hers, feeling him try to open her mouth with his tongue. She feels him tightening his hold on her as she sucks on his bottom lip. "But you are all mine, Scott Ryder." Cora giggles and grips his hair at the back of his head.
"Did you zap her? Is that why you're telling me?" Scott grins at her making her laugh and shake her head, closing her eyes for a moment when she feels him lower his hands to her hips so he can hold her in place. "As Pathfinder, I could turn a blind eye." He adds as his smile widens.
"Sara said that you'd told her." She nods lightly and lets her eyes settle on his, waiting for the surprise to appear in his baby blues, but it doesn't happen. "She just came out with it in front of Lexi." Cora sighs lightly and waits for his reply before lifting the spoon to his mouth and letting it disappear behind his lips, remembering that they have ice cream to eat rather than just kissing each other.
"Well, good." Scott finally replies and smiles as she feels his fingertips gripping her skin, noticing how hot his palms are. "I did tell her the truth and she was more upset that Louisa hadn't said anything." He continues making her nod, that was how it had sounded too. "I don't want secrets, especially not between me and Sara," Scott whispers so she smiles.
"No more secrets." Cora nods as she leans closer to him and presses her mouth against his, feeling him holding her tightly. "I did tell agree with her about how amazing you are in bed." She giggles and notices it makes him place his hands on her shoulders and hold her back so he can look into her face.
"Really?" Scott chuckles so she nods and grins at him, leaning over towards the bowel so she can get the last sweet and cold scoop that is left. "I bet she didn't like hearing that." He adds as Cora feels his grip tighten on her hips as he fixes his eyes on hers.
"Well, it's true.." Cora giggles as she draws the spoon to her lips and runs her tongue around the edge of it. "She's just jealous I'm the one that gets to enjoy that about you." She adds as she brings the spoon closer to him and lets it drip onto the warm skin of his chest, hearing his breath catch.
"Jeez.. that's cold." Scott laughs but then lets out a quiet sigh when she leans down to lick the melting ice cream from his skin, sliding her tongue around his nipple which makes him groan. "Let's stop talking about Louisa." He sighs. "That feels so good," Scott mumbles making her smile when she watches him leaning his head back against the wall and closing his eyes.
"I can tell.." Cora giggles hearing him let out a deep shaky breath when she digs her fingertips into his chest and begins pressing light kisses against his hot skin until she reaches his other nipple bites gently.
"I'm so turned on." Scott sighs making her giggle again.
"I can tell that, too.." Cora replies and moves on top of him for good measure, smiling to herself when she hears him let out another huff. "It's a good job we're out of ice cream." She whispers letting her chest press against his so she can brush her mouth lightly against his neck, slowly kissing up to his jaw as his grip on her waist tightens. "Now I can spend all night licking and tasting every inch of you instead," Cora whispers as she nuzzles her mouth against his throat.
"That sounds amazing." He sighs quietly making her smile as she slides her fingers into his hair and uses it to draw him closer, letting her mouth press against his in a gentle kiss which makes him slide his hands up her back to her shoulder blades.
"Where shall I start?" She whispers before wrapping her arms around his neck and kissing him hard, using her tongue to part his lips until she can taste the sugary sweet taste of ice cream on his tongue. Cora sucks at his bottom lip and moves her cold lips against his, feeling them begin to warm.
"Anywhere. I'm yours.." Scott huffs when she loosens her hold on him and slides her hands down onto his chest, letting her fingertips trail through the dark hair that she finds.
"I think I'll start here." Cora giggles before she lets her lips press against his neck again, opening her mouth to let her teeth press into his skin as she hears him groan. "Then I'll work my way down.." She whispers before biting gently.
