Mildy important but really just informational Note to help avoid confusion in later chapters

I'm excited because after this chapter is the oblivion chapter. I have a general idea of how it will play out. I know a few people were hoping it to go a certain way but it probably won't be quite the way they expect. Lucy and Adrien/Chat Noir's relationship, much like Marinette and Adrien/Chat Noir is on the slow burn spectrum. This is both to keep the relationship from feeling too forced but also because there are a lot of complications that go along with their relationship. I will tell you the I DO plan on having Lucy find out that Chat and Adrien are one and the same, in fact now that I have seen most of the viewable English episodes of season 4 thanks to good old youtube, I have a pretty good view on the events that lead up to it mapped out. Good things come to those who wait.

Spoiler related note: When watching the Shanghai movie there is a moment when Hawkmoth says he wants to finish what he started 15 years ago. Now up until this point, I had assumed that Gabriel's main reason for wanting the miraculous has been to bring back his wife. Although I still think that is true, it's apparent to me that before Lady Agreste fell ill, he, if not both of them had another agenda. If that agenda is truly evil or not is to be predetermined but due to this knowledge, I'm going to reframe from bringing it up any more than I already have out of pure speculation.

Another thing is Tigress. Although the episode has not aired in English yet, I've seen some clips. Some people when Talia was a character had speculated Julika getting the Tigress miraculous at some point and questioned how I would deal with that. I'm not that deep in the fandom so I have no idea how they knew that so early on but it doesn't matter. Luckily, Talia is no longer in the picture, though I may have her pop in for a cameo at some point, so that's no issue. However, I realize that I had no idea what the Tiger power was going to be so I made up something random which was 'eye of the Tiger' where she was really fast. From what I saw in the clip the power is more strength-related. Like a super punch kinda business. Won't know the deets until I see the episode. With that being said in the occasions where Julika is Tigress or whatever she ends up calling herself, I'll just have to alter that a bit. Luckily I don't make fight scenes too often so, to be honest, I'm not too concerned.

Last but not least I finally saw the bunny miraculous. So a while back when I had first started this story I had looked for the bunny miraculous in an image that was taken of the miracle box. I didn't see it, so I assumed Alix's watch was a miraculous the whole time. Hence why they were able to use it in time tagger when older Alix's/ Bunnix was damaged in the future by Chat Noir as she mentioned. Turns out, that was all time travel mobo jumbo. Due to the way I have this story planned out, we will stick with the idea that the watch that Lucy has, is already a miraculous like I have been saying and she isn't aware of it yet.

I feel like there was something else but for the life of me, I cant remember. Oh well, I guess that's all for now! Note over and on with the story!

Friendship with Chloe tended to be the simplest and most complicated thing in the world at times. Sabrina felt as though over the years she had grown to read the blonde girl pretty well. Chloe could be so mean and selfish to other people, but most of the time, when it was just the two of them, she was completely different. They were two teenage girls just hanging out. They laughed, they told secrets, they acted like kids running around in their Ladybug and Chat Noir costumes. It was those moments of good that so easily made her forgive all the bad.

When Chloe had joined the public school, Sabrina had thought she was the coolest girl in the whole world and knew instantly she wanted to be her friend. Chloe had shown her a world she had not known existed and in return, Sabrina tried to show her a friendship she didn't know existed either. It didn't take long for Sabrina to be able to see Chloe under her rough exterior. This of course didn't mean it didn't hurt when Chloe directed her anger to Sabrina.

"Okay! Of course! That's brilliant! And Ladybug pulls it off yet again! She defeated Destroyer with the help of all her superhero friends!" Nadja, the news anchor's voice blares out from Sabrina's phone as the magic ladybugs swarm the city and fix the damage.

"All? ALL!? What about Queen Bee? Ugh!" In a huff, Chloe throws Sabrina's phone. Fortunately, it was protected by its case. Sabrina frowns and picks up her phone. She could tell Chloe was hurt for not being included by Ladybug. Chloe had not been called on to be Queen Bee in some time now Sabrina was bringing to think there might be a reason for that.

"That's really not cool." She says in support, but Chloe brushes it off.

"Oh, you so don't get it. Ladybug only calls on me when she has serious villains to contend with."

Sabrina gives her friend a weak smile. "Uhh, yeah! Of course."

OoOoOOoOOo

Out by the Eiffle tower, Chat Noir looks at Ladybug judgingly. "Still haven't spoken to her, huh?" Ladybug sighs

"You know how dangerous it is to use ChloƩ. Everybody knows that she was Queen Bee, everyone including Hawk Moth. He can use it to trap us. That's why our identities must remain a secret. We can't have it both ways. You know that better than anyone Chat..." Ladybug says sadly. Although she didn't particularly like Chloe, it was clear that Chloe's overall attitude had improved after becoming Queen Bee. The blonde wasn't going around kissing babies and doing charity work of course but if you looked at a side-by-side comparison of the person Chloe was a year ago to who she is now, anyone could see the growth.

Unfortunately, it couldn't last. Ladybug wished she could have seen Chloe as a possible ally sooner. She wished that she could have found Chloe and secretively given her a miraculous so things didn't have to be so hard. But the reality was that everyone knew about Chloe and her time as Queen Bee, and even the people who didn't would eventually because the girl couldn't shut up about it.

Chat frowned, all too aware of the sacrifices that come with a second identity for the safety of those he cared about. "And the best-kept secrets are the ones you don't share, yeah-yeah, I know. I don't think Chloe knows that her time as Queen Bee is over, though."

"I know," Ladybug admitted. "I just haven't time to tell her and..." the sound of her earrings beepings momentarily distracts her. "...and I won't today either, I'm about to transform back!"

"M'lady... promise me you'll go talk to her. It's the right thing to do." Chat told her and she of course knew he was right.

"Yeah, sure. " As Ladybug yo-yo's away and Chat looks to the sky, his frown returning as he notices the Bee symbol go out. He knew how much being Queen Bee meant to Chloe. He could only hope she would understand why she couldn't be anymore.

OoOoOoOoOo

"What are you looking at?" Sabrina's voice in Lucy's ear made her jump slightly as she clutched her phone to her chest. She had been leaning against the stair railing while scrolling through Pinterest when Sabrina and Chloe ended up in her general vicinity. Mainly due to Adrien approaching and Chloe wanting to talk to him. While the two rich kids conversed Sabrina couldn't help but peek over Lucy's shoulder and notice a bunch of fun-looking clothes on her screen.

"Sabrina! Jeez, someone needs to put a bell on you or something." Lucy said with a crooked smile. Sabrina giggled and shot an apology Lucy's way. "I'm just looking at cosplay costumes. I saw a cool one and now I'm in the rabbit hole." Lucy informed the ginger. Sabrina's eyes lit up at her words.

"You like to dress up too!?" Lucy gaped at her for a moment before shrugging her shoulders.

"I mean, I would I guess but, I don't know, if I did I would want to look a certain way, and honestly that kind of hobby can be an investment I don't have money for. Man..." Lucy muttered. "I really need a job.'

"I totally get what you mean! Chloe and I love playing dress-up! Especially as Ladybug and Chat Noir! You should join us after school!" Upon hearing her name Chloe shifts her attention to Sabrina and quickly brings herself next to the ginger-haired girl.

"Sabrina!" She scolds, not wanting people to overhear the words "Chloe" and "play dress-up" in the same sentence. Lucy simply smiles at Chloe knowingly before reverting her gaze back to Sabrina who shrunk slightly at Chloe's warning tone.

"As a matter of fact, I would love to play dress-up with you guys, but I'm sorry to say I don't own a costume to correlate with Ladybug and Chat Noir. I think I might have a witch costume from Halloween one year but that's about it." She laughed.

"Ah, oh well, that's just too bad-"

"That could work out great! You can be the Akuma!" Sabrina said, cutting Chloe off. Lucy clasped her hands together under her chin.

"You're right. I could be the Akuma." Lucy spoke while eyeing Chloe who shot her an annoyed look. "We'll come up with a cheesy name, get me a ridiculous superpower, it'll be great."

Before either of the girls could respond Nino, Alya and Marinette came up beside Adrien. Nino called out a "hey dude" asking if he had seen the Akuma attack that happened yesterday on the news.

"Yeah, he turned out to be a tough one it seems," Adrien responded casually.

"Luckily Ladybug and Chat Noir had some backup." Marinette chimed in agitating Chloe.

The blue-eyed blonde crossed her arms and scoffed. "Rena Rouge and Carapace are so tacky. I just don't understand why Ladybug keeps calling on them and when I, Queen Bee-" Her rant was interrupted by Lila approaching and greeting everyone. The group of teens, all but Chloe and Marinette greeted the Italian girl. Marinette only stared at Lila with an unimpressed expression before linking arms with Alya, insisting they study for the science test.

"What science test?" Nino asked, to which Adrien informed him of the one they all had coming come the afternoon. Nino groaned and Adrien chuckled and placed a friendly arm around Nino's shoulder escorting him away to catch him up on the material.

"You wanna come, Lucy?" Adrien asked to which Lucy shot him a smile.

"Yeah, I'll be there in a minute." Adrien let out a "Cool." before heading off with Nino. Lucy brought her attention back to Sabrina, placing a hand on her arm. "So, how about that-"

"Were you talking about Ladybug?" Lila asked Chloe, who was scrolling through her phone. She gazed up at Lila and raised an eyebrow.

"No!" Lucy answered. "We were talking about costumes. Hey! You like to dress up and play pretend right? Maybe you should join us." Lila gave Lucy a tight smile.

"Oh Lucy, how I adore your quirkiness." Lucy went to follow up with a comeback only for Chloe to hold up her hand to stop her.

"Uh, who are you again?"

"That's Lila. She's in our class!" Sabrina informs Chloe, making the blue eyes girl look Lila over.

"Really? Well, she clearly didn't make a big impression on me." Lila remained unfazed by Chloe's words and let out a fake laugh.

"Oh, I love your sense of humor. I remember now that Ladybug mentioned it a few times."

Lucy rolled her eyes and groaned to herself. "Oh, here we go."

"You talk to Ladybug?" Chloe asks skeptically.

"Of course! She and I are very close friends. A bit like you used to be back in the day!" Lila pokes. "Whenever I feel like seeing her, I've got a magic command that calls her to me right away."

Chloe wasn't a complete fool. Something about this conversation smelled funny to her. "Magic?"

"Yeah, just like your signal to summon her, except mine works every time," Lila explained

Lucy narrowed her eyes. "Really? Do it now then. Summon thy Ladybug oh powerful Ladybug summoner." Lila rolled her eyes and swished her wrist at Lucy.

"There it is again!" She laughed. "As if I would call upon Ladybug just to prove a point. What kind of person would that make me?"

Chloe twitches in anger but manages to hold it together. She had been working on her temper. After all, how could she be a hero of Paris if she ended up being the one to get Akumatized? "Well, to each her own." She says, walking off to avoid having to deal with the conversation further. Lucy was almost proud until...

"Don't you want to know what it is?" Lila asked. Her sugar-coated question is laced with poison and unfortunately, Chloe's sweet tooth aches for a taste.

"If you insist." Lucy frowns as Lila whispers into Chloe's ear, knowing the girl is sputtering nonsense into her friend's ears.

"If Ladybug doesn't come to you with that, then you'll know she's not a true friend." Lila walks away, leaving Chloe to take in whatever information she had been given and Lucy finds it important to warn Chloe of Lila's habit of dishonesty.

"Don't do it." She said simply, earning a glare from Chloe. "Whatever it is, it's bull."

Chloe scoffed and crossed her arms. "Please, you don't honestly think I would be gullible enough to think Ladybug has some stupid summoning chant right?"

"Gullible enough to believe it, no," Lucy told her. "Desperate enough to try...?" She brought up her shoulders.

"I am not desperate!" Chloe shouted.

"Good," Lucy replied firmly. "Lila is a twat, Chlo. Don't let her get in your head." Lucy walked away and Chloe shooed off Sabrina who was looking at her with uncertainty. Marinette, having been eavesdropping as she tends to do wandered over to Chloe once she was alone. Chloe gave her an annoyed look, asking what she wanted.

"I don't know what Lila just told you but, you should watch out for her, besides I'm sure Ladybug will come and see you anyway with or without magic." Her words were meant to be friendly and encouraging, but Chloe only saw mockery from the dark-haired girl.

"Are you making fun of me right now?" She accused causing Marinette to panic as Chloe's quick defensive tone.

"No, No! I'm not!"

"I could see Ladybug WHENEVER I FEEL LIKE IT, OKAY, so mind your own business DUPAIN-CHENG!" Chloe shouted, stomping off leaving Marinette to sigh in defeat. Ladybug had trusted her to become Queen Bee. They were friends and she would call on her again when the time was right. She didn't need people like Marinette trying to patronize her.

OoOoOoOoOo

After school, Lucy trotted up behind Chloe and Sabrina. Although Lucy was one to more enjoy looking at cosplay rather than participating in it, the idea of doing something childish like "play dress-up" with Chloe and Sabrina did appeal to her. Since her near-death experience when she was younger, Lucy sometimes felt she missed out on a lot of her childhood. She does not miss childhood itself, but she misses the way she took pleasure in small things, even as greater things crumbled. Lucy could not control the world she was in, could not walk away from things or people or moments that hurt, but she took joy in the things that made her happy.

She called out to the two girls, causing them to turn their bodies in her direction. Sabrina greeted her with a bright smile while Chloe raised an eyebrow.

"So ladies are we doing this or what!?" She asked, earning a quick nod from Sabrina. Chloe however looked at Lucy as if she was a younger sister who wanted to play with her elder sibling and friends.

"You're serious?" Chloe asked and Lucy couldn't really tell if the blue-eyed girl was asking out of annoyance or skepticism.

"Sure, why not? Could be fun. I would have to zoom over to my place first," She said sticking her thumb over at her parked moped. "To get find the costume in my closet but yeah. That is of course unless..." Lucy drawled while raising her shoulders to her ears. "You'd rather play with your butler. I'm sure he gets really into it."

Chloe tapped her foot a few times on the ground, her lips moving from side to side as she thought it over before she let out a breath from her nose and turned back to the limo, flipping her hair in the process.

"I suppose you could join us. Don't keep me waiting or we will go on without you." Lucy smirked and rolled her eyes as Chloe and Sabrina got into the limo. Noticing Adrien sending her a wave, Lucy waved back as he too got into his car, likely having things to attend to at home. Lucy jogged over to her moped and slipped on her helmet, driving off a moment later to her home.

OoOoOoOoOoo

Chloe and Sabrina rushed to the roof, turning on the Queen Bee signal as a Lolipop sentimonster. Chloe snatched Sabrina's phone away as she glares down at the screen. The news blares from the speakers as it broadcasts Ladybug and Chat Noir's fight against the Lolipop monster. Sabrina doesn't know if Chloe will be called upon by Ladybug, but she doesn't want the possibility of her not to ruin Chloe's mood completely.

"You know, if Ladybug doesn't show up, I can just snag the costumes as we planned. I'm sure Lucy will be here any minute." Chloe hardly acknowledged Sabrina's words, shooing her off to get the costumes. Sabrina smiled excitedly before rushing of the roof, leaving Chloe to intently watch the events unfold on the phone screen.

OoOoOooOoO

Lucy glanced over to her left as she rode down the street toward the hotel. Her eyes widened slightly at the sight of the lollipop monster off in the distance. "Huh, okay, not cutting through the park, that's for sure." She muttered bringing her attention back to the road. When she finally got to her destination the monster had fallen. Lucy hopped off her ride, adjusting her outfit. Her large black witch hat had almost blown away on multiple occasions while she rode through the streets of Paris, making Lucy have to drive mostly one-handed. Her outfit was a half sleeve dark blue top with a stitched in deep red corset and black flowy skirt that came an inch or two above the knee. She readjusted her thigh-high nylon stockings, forgetting how much of a pain it was to keep them up, as well as keep her feet from slipping out of her black flats. The costume was definitely more for looks than anything.

She had gone to Chloe's room first only to find it empty. Thinking about the monster she had seen in the part earlier, Lucy concluded the pair must have been on the roof, quite possibly sending out Chloe's Bee signal. As the elevator dinged, giving her access to the roof, Lucy was greeted with a distraught-looking Sabrina who held Chloe's Ladybug costume in her arms. Lucy stepped out of the elevator with a frown, asking Sabrina what happened. Sabrina stepped into the elevator and lifted her hung head only to answer Lucy.

"Chloe doesn't want to play." Before Lucy could further inquire, the elevator doors closed, leaving her to go find answers from Chloe. She turned on her heel and sighed, marching across the roof only to find Chloe looking down sadly at a picture she had taken of herself and Ladybug back when Evillustrator had been around. Her eyes grow wider as she suddenly sees an Akuma fluttering towards Chloe and quickly shouts out her name to warn her.

"Chloe!" The blue-eyed girl's attention shifts toward Lucy only for the Akuma to place itself in her photo.

"My dear ChloƩ Bourgeois, this is Hawk Moth. " Chloe hears in her head. "Ladybug wants to strip you of your superpowers? Well, I can empower you."Although Lucy could not hear Hawkmoths words she could see Chloe's internal struggle as she clutched her head. Lucy raced over to Chloe and took her by the shoulders. It seemed that Lucy was trying to say something to her, probably encouraging her to fight off Hawkmoths control but Chloe could hardly hear her over the sound of Hawkmoths voice. "Come with me and we can recover the Bee Miraculous together. We'll be a team, and your powers will have no limits."

Chloe thought about Ladybug, and Chat Noir, and Sabrina, and Lucy, and everyone in Paris. She thought about herself, and her rage, and her time as Queen Bee. Queen Bee...she was Queen Bee...Ladybug and Chat Noir trusted her, Lucy believed in her, Sabrina looked up to her. What happens when people open their hearts? They get better.

"No, Hawk Moth!" Chloe defied. "I am a superheroine! I am Queen Bee! Ladybug will come and get me when she needs me! I WILL NEVER JOIN YOU!" She tosses her photo onto the ground as the Akuma exits it. Chloe clutches her chest and pants as Lucy continues to hold onto her. Rejecting Hawkmoth had taken a severe amount of energy and Chloe felt she might lose her ability to stand.

"Chloe..." Lucy spoke. Chloe didn't respond but instead brought her eyes to Lucy's as she continued to catch her breath. "You just rejected an Akuma!"

Lucy's words seemed to finally bring Chloe into a realization of what had just happened as her breath steadied and the wobbliness in her legs went away. She stood on her own and let out an airy breath before her mouth curved into a large grin.

"I did...I just rejected an Akuma! I JUST- Well! Of course, I did! I'm amazing, after all!" She shouted flipping her hair. "What's that Hawkmoth? You wanna akumatize me? Well, you can't!" Chloe spoke aloud, moving her body around dramatically. "Why? Because I'm Queen Bee, that's why Bitch!" She shouted taking her fists and extending her arms horizontally from the ground and moving them in a circular motion.

"Hey," Lucy said, placing a hand on Chloe's shoulder. "I'm proud of you." Chloe gave her a small thankful smile as Lucy pulled away. It was then that Chloe finally registered the outfit Lucy had on.

"What on earth are you wearing?" Lucy looked down at her outfit and a lightbulb went off in her head as she brought her hands to her hips.

"Ah, I almost forgot? What did you do to Sabrina? The girl passed me in the elevator like someone kicked her puppy."

Chloe sighed. "She caught me at a bad time." Lucy gave her a disapproving look only for Chloe to shoot up her hands in defense mode. "Hey! Did you not see me almost get Akumatized? Obviously, I was having a moment." Lucy rolls her eyes.

"If you think that gives you an excuse to reflect your bad mood onto the people that care about you, then you are mistaken." Lucy snagged up the photo from the ground and handed it to Chloe. "Make it right." Chloe let out a small huff and pouted before muttering out an agreement.

"Chloe!" A voice then called out in a sickly sweet tone. A girl with very pale pink skin, light scarlet lipstick, and a long and neatly combed vivid cerise hair that is pointed at the top hops down on the roof. She has long eyelashes, and her eyes are black outlined blue with bluish-black pupils and vivid rose colored-sclera. She also wears a black mask with a pink outline. Her lower arms are pink, which contrasts to black, with a pink outline. Her upper arms and lower legs are also light pink. She wears a black sleeveless jumpsuit that covers her neck, torso, and halfway down above her ankle gloves, with a pink outline around her V-necked collar, armholes, and lower legs. On her chest is a magenta pink hexagon with a black question mark on the center. The Miraculous logos appear on her suit as polka dots, as well as green paws, cover her black outfit. She also wears a pair of black dress shoes with a pink outline around the top and pink soles on her feet. "I have powers now! We can play together again!"

"Sabrina?!" Chloe called out. Lucy gazed at Sabrina or well...

"I'm Miraculer now! I've stolen Cat Noir and Ladybug's superpowers!" She says hoping towards Chloe.

"Well that can't be good," Lucy mutters with an exasperated look.

"Do you want Ladybug's? Then you can be Ladybug, and I'll be Cat Noir! For real! Just like we've always dreamed of!" Miracular spoke dreamily as Chloe stared at her in bewilderment.

"Not like this! You are so far off the mark! I don't wanna be Ladybug, there's only one Ladybug, and she isn't me. I am-"

"Queen Bee." Chat Noir announced himself, holding out the Bee miraculous.

"About time too!" Chloe stomped as Lucy looked him over. Chat was slightly hunched as he held out the miraculous, using his staff for support.

"You're hurt," Lucy observed allowed earning a weak grin from the feline hero.

"Yeah, as it turns out a cataclysm to the ribs will do that." He eyed her curiously. "Are you in a witch costume?"

Lucy went wide-eyed as Chloe made her way over to Chat to accept her miraculous, only for another villain to appear. This woman's skin is light indigo and she has short, strong blue hair, part of which curls up underneath her left eye. Her eyes have light magenta irises and vivid violet sclerae, and there is black liner around her eyes, resembling glasses. She wears a peacock-feather-like cocktail hat, which is blue and tear-shaped with a light pink mark in the center and a light blue, translucent veil over her right eye. Her blue coat has a fuzzy blue collar and sleeves that end in a point on the back of her hand. The coat appears to have a set hexagonal texture. The bottom of the coat has a front-slit, and the end of the back has a number of rounded points with dark blue, light-pink-centered spots, resembling a peacock's tail feathers. The rounded points are edged with translucent light blue material. Underneath the coat, she has translucent indigo tights on her legs and a pair of high-heeled boots. The Peacock Miraculous rests in the center of her upper torso as she holds a blue hand fan in her right hand.

The villain snatched the Bee Miraculous from Chat's hands and lands beside Miracular sending them all an evil smile.

"Who are you?!" Chat asks and the villain is more than happy to answer.

"I am Mayura." She states If you team up with us, your dream will finally come true."

Miracular smiles at Chloe. "Don't worry. She's with Hawk Moth and me."

"Watch out." Chat warns Chloe. "Your dream sounds more like a nightmare to me."

"You'll be the one living the nightmare, kitty," Miracular says as she and Mayura get into defense mode.

Chat stepped in front of Chloe and Lucy, who made their way further back behind a half wall. Chat Noir took a stance as Miracular called out 'Lucky Charm' and combined it with 'Catacylsm' resulting in a more than a heavy-duty hairdryer.

"We wouldn't be in this situation if you and Ladybug had gotten me sooner!" Chloe chasted as Chat hit the ground from the attack.

"Thanks, Chloe." He replied sarcastically. "That's super helpful."

"If I had my Bee Miraculous, I could've helped you." She argued. "I'd have floored those two by now!" Suddenly Chloe is snagged by Ladybug and pushed to the ground, finding herself surrounded byLadybug, Rena Rouge, and Carapace. "Finally!" She says only to be silenced by Ladybug who places a hand over her mouth.

"Shhh! I've got a plan. Just listen."

Ladybug explains that Rena will make an illusion around Ladybug, disguising her as Chloe. She would then approach Miracular claiming to have changed her mind in order to be given the Ladybug power. On the right, Lucy watched with a frown as Chat Noir continued to try and defend himself while clearly running out of stamina. Ladybug, now disguised as Chloe made her way to Miracular, claiming her switch insides. Both villains seemed to buy it as Miracular gained an excited look in her eyes and Mayura left her side to go after Chat's miraculous. Miracular touched Ladybug with her staff, giving back the Ladybug power as well as getting rid of the illusion. Chloe couldn't help being annoyed that the girl claiming to be her best friend would be so easily fooled but in all reality, Chloe letting petty feelings drive her alliances was in no way out of character and if Lucy had no just watched Chloe reject an Akuma several minutes prior she wouldn't have known the difference either.

As Miracular attempted to attack her three opponents, Lucy watched Mayura knock Chat to the ground, stepping on his arm to take his miraculous. Mayura went to grab Chat's ring when a sharp pain came to the side of her head, She winced and looked over to see Lucy holding a fist full of gravel she snagged from a nearby plant pot. Lucy lifted her fist and once again tossed a medium-sized stone at the villain. "Fuck off!" She shouted earning a glare from Mayura. As the Mayura attempted to once again reach for the Chat miraculous, Ladybug's yo-yo hit her, sending her flying backward into a lawn chair.

"Miss Shepherd has spunk," Hawkmoth spoke aloud in Mayura's mind. "She might be worth keeping an eye on. Come back Mayura. You have the Bee Miraculous. Miracular will take care of the rest."

Mayura attempted to flee only to be hit by Chat's staff, causing her to drop the Bee Miraculous. Instead of attempting to retrieve it, the blue-haired villain made her exit. Ladybug quickly tossed Chloe the miraculous telling her to find Mayura, as she would lead them to Hawkmoth.

OoOoOoOo

Queen Bee raced after Mayura only to quickly realize the bird-like villain had practically vanished.

"Where did she go?" Bee thought aloud. "Ladybug's going to think I'm incompetent!" As if feeling eyes on her, Bee spun around to find Mayura standing a few feet behind her and quickly goes to attack. "Don't mess with Bee. Stand still!" Mayura dodges Bee's attack and manages to pin her down.

"Let me ask you just one question. Do you enjoy being Ladybug's servant? Having to wait for her to loan you a Miraculous? Wouldn't you rather have boundless powers of your own?"

Queen bee gives her an unimpressed expression. "Uh, that's three questions."

"Come with us, Chloe." Mayura continues. "You can be Queen Bee whenever you want." Had this conversation taken place a few months ago, she may have considered it, but not today. Yesterday, Chloe's life was headed in one direction. Today, it is headed in another. Yesterday, Chloe believed she would never have done what she did today. And she couldn't just give that up.

"Ladybug gave me a new chance, so I'll give her one, too," Bee told Mayura.

"You're going to regret this." The villain sneered, preparing to take the Bee miraculous but Queen Bee is quick and manages to escape her grasp.

"You're going to regret underestimating me, you despicable bird!" Queen Bee switches positions with Mayura. "What would happen if I took this from you?" She asks, reaching for the Peacock miraculous on Mayura's chest, only to be evaded as the villain escapes her grasp and runs off. Bee looks around desperately looking to where Mayura could have gone. " Oh no, no, no. Where did she go? Ugh!"

OoOoOoOo

Back on the hotel rooftop, the four heroes attempt to get Miracular's Akuma. Carapace and Rena grab her arms while Chat holds her by the waist. Carapace and Rena attempt to push Miraculer's hand together, as her Akuma is sheltered n one hand with a cataclysm in the other. However, unlike Chat, Miracular has the ability to deactivate her power at will and quickly disables her cataclysm before it could destroy her sheltered hand. Ladybug calls her Lucky Charm and is given a pillow.

"What am I supposed to do with this?!" She asks, looking around to try and understand. As Miracular shakes off Chat, he rolls off to the side. Lucy instinctively runs to his side as Queen Bee appears and replaces her fallen comrades.

"Tickles!" Bee shouts, knowing her friend's weakness, and Ladybug quickly rips open the pillow and brings a feather to Miraculer's underarm. From Chat's side, Lucy looks over at the group in annoyance.

"You needed a Lucy Charm pillow feather?! Do you not have working fingers any of you?! Do you know how easy it is to tickle someone who is ticklish!?"

Chat weaky grinned up at Lucy who rolled her eyes at the sight of Ladybug snatching Miracular's Akuma due to her switching the spot of her shelter to her underarm. She brought her eyes down to Chat and shot him a small glare.

"What are you cheesing at buddy?"

"So serious." He jokes.

"It's a silly solution."

"The best solutions always are."

"Who are you, Winnie the Pooh?"

The Miraculous Ladybugs swarmed around them, instantly healing Chat as he prounced up from his laying down position. Crouching next to the kneeling Lucy, Chat Smiles.

"Me? A silly old bear? No, no. I am much more of a Tigger!" Chat said bouncing slightly on the balls of his feet. "And you wanna know why?!-"

"Nope." Lucy interrupted holding up a hand to stop him. "You're definitely a Tigger." Chat took Lucy by the hands and helped her off the ground.

"And you're definitely a Rabbit!"

Lucy opened her mouth to argue but stopped herself and instead shrugged. "That's fair."

"But I did everything you said!" Lucy heard Chloe argue. She and Chat brought their attention to the others.

"What is going on?" She asked, leaning toward Chat. Chat frowned a little at the exchange.

"Chloe can't be Queen Bee anymore. Everyone knows her identity, including Hawkmoth. It's too dangerous." He explained. Lucy's shoulders dropped as she let out a small sigh, watching Chloe hand over the Bee miraculous. Ladybug and Chat's miraculous's beeped, signaling and made their leave. Sabrina, feeling guilty about her actions lowered her head.

"I guess this means you won't want to play with me anymore." Chloe didn't look at her friend and instead stared down at the photo she had held onto of her and Ladybug.

"Of course I will." She told Sabrina. I just don't want to be Ladybug any more." Chloe ripped the photo in half. "You can keep the costume if you want." Sabrina let out a yay and Lucy frowned.

"Chloe..."

"Save it, Lucy." She said before getting in the elevator with Sabrina in tow. The two girls left Lucy on the rooftop. She snagged her hat from the ground and plopped down in one of the nearby chairs before pulling her phone out and scrolling through her contacts and hitting dial.

"Hey, you got a minute?"

OoOoOooOoo

Chloe had just stomped away from Lila after confronting her about the bologna Ladybug call. Of course, when she did so, Lila pointed out that she did in fact end up with Ladybug that day so it must have worked. Chloe was pretty confident that her encounter with Ladybug had nothing to do with Lila's stupid chant but supposed that since Ladybug did technically show up, she wouldn't blow a gasket just yet.

"Chlo." A familiar voice called out and Chloe couldn't help but smile.

"Adrikins!" She greeted on the other side of the courtyard. He smiled gently at her.

"How are you, Chloe?" He asked. It was a little odd but Chloe simply flipped her hair.

"Fabulous of course. Even more so now that you are here."

"I'm glad," Adrien said, placing a hand on her shoulder. "I just wanted to check in on you. Lucy called me and-" Chloe shrugged her shoulder away from Adrien as if it had burned her.

"She what?! Ugh, that nosey little-"

"Chloe, come on. She just wants to make sure you're okay. Frankly so do I. We know how important being Queen Bee was to you."

"Frankly, you have no idea, how important being Queen Bee was to me." Sabrina, wanting to cool the tension gently touched Chloe's arm only for the blonde girl to pull away. "Back off Sabrina! I'll see you in class." Sabrina frowned slightly, locking eyes with Adrien momentarily before retreating to class. Chloe clenched her jaw and breathed through her nose, regaining her composure.

"Being Queen Bee is everything to me." She admitted. "It helped set the affirmations Lucy so desperately tried to lay in my mind."

"Affirmations?" Adrien asked. Icy Blue eyes met green.

"Back when my mom first came to town. Back before we bonded over our hate for pretty much everyone..." Chloe chuckled weakly. "Lucy did what she always does."

"An inspirational pep-talk?" Adrien asked with a small grin. Chloe's expression copied his own.

"Yeah, that. She told me she believed in my ability to be exceptional. And she said it so easy. Like people tell me that all the time." It was only Adrien, who Chloe would ever allow herself to appear so vulnerable in front of. She supposed it was because he knew her before she became...her. "Becoming Queen Bee was like a gateway to a better version of myself. To be more than..." She drifted. "It doesn't matter. As far as Ladybug is concerned I am no longer qualified to hold a miraculous."

"Chloe, I'm sure it's not that simple. Lucy told me-"

"I don't care what Lucy told you alright?!" Chloe sneered. "It doesn't matter what Lucy thinks about the situation, it doesn't concern her and the only reason you're even involving yourself in the first place is because of the schoolboy crush you have on her!" Adrien's eyes widened at Chloe's words.

"Eh, Chloe I'm not just asking because of Lucy. I care-"

"Oh please. Adrien, you hardly talk to me anymore." Chloe said frowning. "Except for when you're scolding my behavior." She added with a scoff. "You used to always talk to me." She said softly. Adrien stepped closer to Chloe, taking her shoulders in his hands.

"Chloe, I am always going to care. You're my oldest friend and that's always going to mean something to me and I'm sorry if I haven't made that apparent to you lately." Adrien pulled Chloe into a hug which the blonde girl couldn't help but return. After all, how could she stay mad at her Adrikins.

"I suppose I can forgive you." She said pulling away from the boy who gave her a warm smile. Her expression dropped from the knowingly smug look to a more knowingly annoyed one. "But seriously. This little crush you have-"

"I do not have a crush-"

"Don't even try it." Chloe sassed. "It's utterly ridiculous how obvious you are about it."

"I don't...really?" Adrien winced. Chloe rolled her eyes.

"It's become nauseating. Honestly, I don't get why you don't just tell her. What is she gonna do that's so scary? Give you a heart-to-heart about how it won't work out?"

Adrien raised his eyebrows and tilted his head to the side.

"No, you're right, she totally would." Chloe agreed. " My point is, even if she rejects you, which would be utterly ridiculous because you are perfection," She said pinching his cheek. "it's not like she would rip you a new one over it." Another eye roll came over Chloe as she crossed her arms. "She'll use a gentle tone and be uplifting about it. She'll use words to describe you, like exceptional. And she'll say it so easy, that for a little while...you actually believe her."

Chloe watched as a faint smile ghosted over Adrien's features. She let out a large breath and flipped her hair again turning away from her old friend.

"Of course I'll be right here waiting when you come to your senses and realize how-"

"Utterly ridiculous?" Adrien provided with a small smirk. Chloe pursed her lips as she gazed at him from over her shoulder.

"Completely ignorant you have been to the amazing girlfriend material that has been beside you this whole time."

Adrien chuckled and shook his head. "I couldn't handle you if I wanted to Chlo."

Chloe simply smiled and hummed in response as the two made their way to class.

Tee heeeeeee This took me daaaays to finish. I hope you enjoyed this chapter, hopefully, the next won't take as long as I am excited to get to it! Remember to like and follow and especially comment to let me know what you are thinking because I do love hearing your guy's feedback. Seeing those comments are really what push me to want to put more out. I write this story for myself but also for others to enjoy. As always I will see you in the next chapter!

Also, I have had (Mostly on fanfiction) a few people comment on grammatical errors. It's never in a rude tone or anything, just people trying to be helpful. To those of you who do that, I regret to inform you I post this story on 3 different platforms and I try to proofread before I publish but I do it pretty quickly and when you know how it is supposed to be read, catching small errors can be hard. I catch them all the time later but the idea of going to 3 different places and fixing those errors is unappealing to me. I still get people commenting on my grammar from a story I wrote when I was like 14. The story is several years old. I ain't going back to fix it now, ya know? The same goes for this one. Chances are I am aware, and though I appreciate you trying to help, I probably won't go back to fix those little errors. I'm too lazy. I've been using Grammarly for some time now which helps catch most of my mistakes but no system is perfect. We are going to just have to live with the errors as they are usually minor.
