Before we get into it I thought I should address some things. The placement of this "chapter" is kind of up to you. The seasons in miraculous stay pretty much the same with the exception of the Christmas special or even valentines day so it can be difficult to tell what time of year it is supposed to be in episodes anyway. However due to the way I wrote this out I would say it fits somewhere in between chapters 44, 45, 46, and 47. The winner of the poll was Chat Noir with Red Riding hood coming in a close second. However as you can see by the picture (If you are reading this on Quotev or Wattpad) Sorry fanfiction, placing images is no easy task, Then you can see the actual costume is a version of Chat Blanc. Now you might be thinking, but wait! We haven't done that chapter yet, how does Lucy know what Chat Blanc looks like?

The answer is simple, she doesn't.

Lucy will explain the concept for her costume in the chapter which also leads to a bit of foreshadowing on why Chat Noir looks like Chat Blanc in the future. I'm pretty happy that this was the one that won because it now has a little more depth a reason behind it rather than a random filler chapter.

Also, I have been working on this chapter for a few weeks because I wanted it to play out a certain way in my head but also Im writing an original Akuma attack in here and that is some work on my end because as I have mentioned, I'm terrible at action-based scenes.

Anyway! I hope you enjoy it!

OoOoOoOoOoO

"I have summoned you all here today with very important information," Lucy said as she stood before the majority of her classmates and friends after summoning them all to the park one Sunday afternoon. "Halloween party, my place, six pm till who cares its the freakin-weekend baby. Costumes, highly recommended, food, yours truly will provide but if you happen to have a devilish dish you would like to share feel free. Expect tunes, games, and of course, after we are all ready to get cozy, scary movie marathon! Which ones? I'm a fan of the classics but am open to suggestions and requests! Whos in?" She then asks, finger gunning her friends.

Alix quickly raised her and smirked. "You sold me! Rsvp me now."

"That sounds like so much fun!" Rose squealed, earning a murmur of agreement from Juleka who sat beside her.

"Question!" Alya shouted raising her hand. Lucy smiled and replied with a "Shoot." Adjusting her glasses Alya gave her a look of almost guilt.

"No offense Lucy, but don't you think your place is a little small to be hosting a party with well," She gestured to the group. "Everyone?"

Lucy made a fish face and squinted. Alya wasn't wrong. The number of people she was inviting was rather large for her apartment but what was she supposed to do? She could have just invited a few people but that would mean choosing which people not to. And then those people might wonder why they didn't make the cut. Of course, Lucy also knew most people probably wouldn't think that deeply into it but she couldn't risk it! Maybe some people just wouldn't show up?

Outwardly, Lucy shrugged. "We'll work it out."

"As if I would be caught at a party with all you losers." Chloe sneered while crossing her arms. Lucy shot her an annoyed glance.

"Just for that, you're uninvited."

"Excuse me!? You can't uninvite me! I already said I wasn't going!" Chloe argued. Lucy let off another shrug.

"Good, cuz you can't come."

"Lucy! You take that back!"

"Wah wah. Sorry, no room."

"What!?"

"Like Alya, said," Lucy explained. "Big party plans! Iiiiittybitty living space." She said squishing her index fingers together. "Don't worry, I'm sure everyone will tell you all about it after. It will be like a second-hand party."

"I don't second-hand anything!" Chloe said with a glare.

"Ah, well, maybe you can have your own party. Party of one. Unless of course, Sabrina you also have a problem partying with these losers and would like to join Chloe in exile?"

Sabrina's eyes widened slightly at the attention being drawn to her before looking between Lucy and Chloe nervously.

"Oh, uh, well, I..."

"I demand you reinvite me, Lucy!" Chloe stomped and Lucy let out a snort.

"Ehhhh, sorry. If I had more space maybe things would be different, looks like you're are going to have to sit this one out."

"If you need more space just have it at Daddy's hotel then!" She stated as if it was obvious.

Lucy rolled her eyes. "Renting banquet space costs money, honey."

"Well then it's a good thing the heiress to the location is invited to your little party, isn't it?" Chloe said smugly. Lucy placed a hand on Chloe's shoulder and smiled.

"Alright, alright, we'll party at your place Chlo, you can stop nagging me about it." Lucy then turned to Alya. "See, it worked itself out."

Chloe made a face, as if a lightbulb had gone off in her head before shooting a small glare at Lucy, yet remained silent anyway. Perhaps if it was co-hosted by her, this little party wouldn't be so lame after all.

"Adrien," Lucy said pointing to the blonde boy. "I know your schedule can get kinda crazy which is why I mentioned it to you a little earlier. Are you good to go?"

Adrien sent Lucy a smile and a thumbs up. "All clear with my father, though I do have a curfew of 9 pm."

"Awesome, we can work with that!" Lucy cheered and Marinette practically vibrated with excitement beside Alya who rolled her eyes playfully while giving the dark-haired girl a pat on the back.

"Questions? Comments? Concerns?" Lucy asked the group and found Mylene raising her hand. Lucy pointed at the short girl.

"Do our costumes have to be scary?" She asked nervously to which Lucy laughed.

"Of course not. Though, some people very well may choose to so Ivan," Lucy pointed to Mylene's bear of a boyfriend. "I expect you to show up with this little short stack here like the knight in shining armor you are," Ivan smirked before looking down at his girlfriend.

"As if you gotta tell me."

"Alright then! Guys, talk to your parents, save the date and keep me in the loop, okay?"

The group mostly went about their day after that with the exception of a few stragglers by the names of Chloe, Marinette, Alya, Nino, and Adrien. Lucy walked over to Chloe and gave her a knowing smile while hip bumping her.

"Shut up." Chloe snapped, crossing her arms and sticking up her nose to Lucy.

"Hey," Lucy elbowed, making the blue-eyed girl look at her from the corner of her eye. "Thank you." Chloe looked away again and let out a breath from her nose.

"Yeah, Whatever."

"Let me know what your dad says, alright?"

"As if he would ever say no to me."

"Still." Chloe sends Lucy one last glance.

"I'll text you." With that, Chloe strutted away leaving Lucy smiling after her.

"So what are you going to dress up as?"

Adrien's voice so close to her ear made Lucy jump slightly. Adrien had not been sure he would be able to attend Lucy's party when she had first brought it up to him. He had wholeheartedly prepared himself for his father to shut down the idea immediately. The elder Agreste had given him a hard stare after the proposal had left his mouth as if he was carefully calculating the pros and cons in his head. Surprisingly for Adrien, his father then seemed to reboot and brought his eyes back down to his work with the simple reply, "You are to be back home by 9 pm sharp. Your bodyguard will arrive with the car promptly." Adrien had given his father an excited thank you and made sure to put extra effort into his extra activities thus not wanting to give his father a reason to change his mind.

"I don't know yet," Lucy answered. "I have a few ideas, but I'm still figuring it out. Gotta decide fast though. I don't have that long to figure it out. How about you? Put any thought into it?"

Adrien scratched the back of his head. "Honestly, no. don't remember the last time I dressed up for Halloween. It's not as popular here as it is in America. We don't really have trick-or-treating or anything. Those who do dress up usually do it for parties and well..."

"I know princess, I know," Lucy smirked. "Haha, you can be a princess! It would be so fitting!" Adrien glared at her.

"Isn't the whole princess thing getting old yet for you?"

"Oh, sweet child. I will be calling you that till the day I die." Adrien smiled through his annoyance. After all, if being called 'princess' was the price he had to pay for a lifetime with Lucy, then he would pay over and over.

"We really do need to figure it out though," Lucy said bringing her hand to her jaw, holding her own face in her palm. "Hey, Marinette! Nino! Alya!" Lucy called out, and the two girls who had been standing off to the side, definitely not trying to eavesdrop, made their way over to the two blondes.

"H-hey, Lucy...Ad-Adrien. What's up?" Marinette greeted bashfully.

"We were talking about what to be for Halloween. Do you guys have any ideas on what you are going to dress up as?"

"Nino and I will probably try and do a couples costume," Alya explained, earning a nod from her boyfriend. "Any ideas babe?"

"I got a couple of things rattling up here," Nino replied, pointing to his head. "We'll have to go over them together and I'm sure we will pick something awesome!"

"How about you Marinette?" Adrien asked. Marinette flushed at the blonde boy's attention.

"Me?! Oh-uh, I don't know! I'll probably make something. Maybe a witch...or a vampire? I don't know, is that too generic?" Lucy laughed.

"It's just a fun party Marinette. Don't overthink it too much. You could be a witch, a vampire, a supervillain-

"Or even a superhero." Alya winked.

"Superheros are definitely a fun option." Lucy agreed. "Maybe I'll be a female Iron Man." She pondered.

"Iron Man isn't even a real superhero," Adrien argued to which Lucy gaped at him.

"First of all, fuck you. Second of all, then what superhero would you dress up as ChAt NoIr?" Adrien laugh.

"Well, no, but what's wrong with Chat Noir!? I thought you liked Chat Noir?"

"I adore Chat Noir," Lucy answered honestly. "But if anyone else in Paris wants to dress up as a superhero in Paris these days, who do you think they will choose? Ladybug and Chat Noir. Hate to break it to you, but I have no interest in entering a Chat Noir look-alike contest. Besides," She shrugged. "I've always been more into the villains anyway."

"Villains? Really?" Adrien asked.

"So Lucy-goosey has a thing for the bad boys." Nino joked with a wink.

"Lucy-goosey has a thing for complex characters." Lucy corrected with a small chuckle, she shrugged lightly. "I don't know, I have always found villains interesting. With the combination of my mother's love of books and my father's love of psychoanalysis, I guess I can't help but want to read into the subcontext. I had a conversation with Chat a long time ago." Lucy explained to her friends.

"We were talking about hawkmoth and what it was he really wanted with the miraculous. Evil generally isn't born. It's made. People do bad things for a large number of reasons but most of the time those reasons are rooted deeper than simply doing being terrible for the sake of being terrible. Bad things happen to everyone, and sometimes it is hard to keep being ourselves when they do. Good and evil are a great deal more complex than a princess and a dragon . . . is not the dragon the hero of his own story? Everyone is more than one thing," Lucy told them. "We are more than single actions we undertake, whether they be good or evil."

"Actually!" She popped. "That gives me an idea." She then points to Marinette. "I might need your help though Marinette if you don't mind." Marinette blinked at Lucy.

"Uh, yeah, of course!"

"Great! If you will excuse me, I have some shopping to do!"

"Wait, Lucy! What is your idea?!" Adrien asked, thinking that perhaps there was some kind of sly way he could match her.

"You'll have to wait and see!" She shouted, speed-walking away. Nino scrunched his face.

"I hope she isn't going to dress up as hawkmoth."

"She does seem weirdly fascinated by the guy," Alya commented tapping a finger on her chin in thought.

"No way!" Marinette said with a hand wave. "Lucy does some weird things sometimes but to dress up as Paris' number one most wanted? The guy who's terrorized not only her friends but her as well? Nah, I don't think so." She placed her hands on her hips confidently.

"Whatever her idea is, she looked excited about it," Adrien spoke. "Guess we better get thinking on our own."

OoOoOoOoOoOOoO

The Friday before the party Lucy began packing up her belongings at the end of Mrs. Bustiers' class. Everyone had RSVP'ed, Chloe had confirmed the location, Marinette and she had been working on their costumes together and now only had to add the finishing touches, and to top it off, Marinette's parents even graciously offered to donate some of their delicious goodies for the party taking some weight off Lucy in the kitchen. Whenever she had a party, which did not happen often, she often felt the need to be the hottest with the mostest when it came to food and often bit off more than she could chew. This event was no exception to that. Knowing she would have a little help in that department was a load off. A hand on her desk interrupted Lucy's thoughts as she looked up to come face to face with Lila who was pouting at her slightly.

"So sorry Lucy, I don't know if I will be able to make it to your little party this weekend. This big Halloween masquerade party is happening and my parents are pretty much insisting I go. Some important faces like Jagged Stone and Clara Nightengale will be there and it's only polite to show face to such old friends."

Lucy made a passive face and waved her hand dismissively. "It's a great thing I didn't invite you then. What a waste of time it would have been right?"

A factitious smile plastered itself on Lila's face. "It is so sweet of you to take my busy schedule into consideration."

"That's me," Lucy said with a shrug and a grin. "Always thinking of others."

"Well," Lila sighed tilting her head from side to side. "If you really want, I could talk to my parents and see if they would let me stop by for a bit."

Lucy reached out and gave Lila's arm a gentle squeeze. "Oh Lila, I would never insist you show up somewhere your not wanted."

Lila's smile cracked slightly. "Well, that's not a very nice thing to say." Lucy pouted.

"Is it? Is it not nice? Hmm, you know what else is not nice? Lying to every person you meet about literally every aspect of your life. Making the illusion that someone I care about is about to drop from the Eiffel tower, also not very nice."

"I was under Hawkmoths control! You can't hold that against me!" Lila argued. Lucy nodded.

"Sure. How about threatening my friend that you're going to tear her life apart with your lies, or sending out-of-context photos of yourself with Adrien to get a rise out of my other friend? Those don't sound very nice to me."

Lila bit the inside of her cheek. "I don't know what you're talking about." Lucy let out a sigh and rubbed the side of her face before leaning back in her chair and looking at Lila with a bored expression.

"Right, listen kid. I am totally willing to be cordial with you in school, but this," She said waving her pointer finger between the two of them. "This weird, bullshit friendship thing you are trying to do. Yeah, that's not happening. You've made your bed with me, army style at that."

"That's priceless coming from someone who is friends with someone like Chloe, someone responsible for more Akumatizations than I can count on one hand." Lila shot only making Lucy snort.

"Chloe is a large amount of work in progress but don't think for a second she gets any less called out on for her behavior than I'm doing with you right now. Chloe might be a bit of a wolf, but you my dear, are a wolf in sheep clothing. Cowardly pretending to be something you are not."

"I could just show up to your little party anyway." Lila countered. "What would everyone think of you trying to throw me out?"

Lucy smirked. "You could. But be careful my factitious sheep. For there will be many disguised that night. Perhaps one might take the opportunity to rock your shit."

Lila glared at her harshly. "Did you just threaten me?!" Lucy looked at her with wide eyes that almost resembled that of concern.

"Threatening you? Of course not. I'm warning you." Lucy picked up her things and made her way to walk past Lila, only for the Italian girl to grab her arm.

"You really don't want me as an enemy Lucy," Lila warned. Lucy scoffed.

"You're not an enemy Lila. You're not a sheep, you're not even a wolf really. You are the exact thing that you keep trying so desperately not to be." Lucy said, turning her head over her shoulder to meet Lila's ear.

"Nothing."

Lucy ripped her arm away from Lila and made her way down the steps to the front of the class where Adrien stood waiting for her with a curious look in his eyes.

"What was that all about?" He asks, eyeing Lila, who remained at the top of the steps, her fists clenched to her sides.

"Just cleared some things up." Was all Lucy said, walking past the blonde boy who hesitantly followed behind.

Lila took a deep breath in an attempt to control her anger. She would swallow it, and hold it in the pit of her stomach till the time was right.

OoOoOoOo

When Saturday afternoon strolled around, Lucy once again found herself in Marinette's room overlooking her costume. Marinette had decided to go as a Witch and was adding the finishing touch to her pointy hat. Her dress was mainly black with some red accents pieces. It came down to a little past her knee with plenty of tulle fabric to give a poof effect. Lucy stared at her own costume and tapped her finger on her chin.

"I think its ready." She announced, making Marinette look over. Lucy had decided to take her friend's words into consideration and decided to dress up as Paris's beloved Chat Noir. However, she wanted to add a little spice, a little scariness to the costume. After thinking about it, Lucy decided to be an akumatized version of Chat Noir. After all, what was scarier than when the people meant to protect you have a change of heart?

Of course, Chat Noir had never been akumatized. Affected by an Akuma, sure, but akumatized himself? Never. So figuring out what that would look like was something Lucy had to come up with in her head. In an attempt to not overthink it too much, she had decided to take inspiration from Anti-bug. The villain Chloe had turned into a while back when Ladybug had upset her. Lucy then bought a Chat Noir costume and with Marinette's help, bleached the hell out of it. It took a few days in a few cycles to get it the crisp white Lucy was looking for. Some items, like the belt and boots, took a little more work. Lucy actually ended up just buying some white ankle boots and two white belts as a replacement.

The outfit fit like a clove which was perfect but also a little nerve recking for Lucy. She want one to wear oversized clothes all the time or anything, but she also wasn't one to wear skin-tight bodysuits either.

"Well, what do ya think!?" Lucy shouted, turning to Marinette now fully dressed while making jazz hands. Marinette's eyes widened slightly.

"You look..."

"Kinda hot right?" Lucy joked, turning and shaking her tail at her friend.

"Dangerous," Marinette told her with a small smirk. Lucy winked and made a pawing motion at her.

"How about me?" Marinette asked, doing a little spin. "I'm really happy with how it came out."

"Less dangerous, but very cute. I'm a little surprised you didn't go more towards the scary route. ou could have had a lot of fun with that."

Marinette shrugged. "I'm not a scary person. Besides, one shouldn't judge a witch by their looks. Regardless of appearance, all I have to do is a little abracadabra and poof, ruined your life."

"Fair enough." Lucy agreed, looking at the time. "Alright, I'm gonna take this off and head over to Chloe's."

"I still can't believe you managed to get her to host this thing at her place," Marinette said with her arms crossed. Lucy smiled while folding up her costume and placing it in a bag to take with her.

"I mean if I'm honest I didn't go in with that plan. But after Alya brought up the space issue and Chloe opening her mouth to be a tart as she likes to do I took it as an opportunity. Chloe likes to be included in things, even if she plays it like she doesn't care. This way we have space and Chloe gets to not only be a part of the party but in charge of something for it. It's a win-win in my book."

Making her way down the steps, Lucy greeted Tom and Sabine who then handed her three large boxes full of goodies to take with her. She carefully stepped them to her moped, got on a drove away towards Chloe's.

Back in her room, Tikki popped out beside Marinette and complimented her costume.

"Thanks, Tikki, here I made you something too." Marinette then placed a small witch hat on top of Tikki's head, making the Kwmai giggle.

"I love it!" She floated up towards the window, watching the blonde girl who had just been there driving off. "An akumatized Chat Noir," Tikki then pondered. "That is quite the terrifying scenario."

"Don't worry Tikki," Marinette said, poking the tiny creature's belly. "That will never happen." Tikki gave a small smile to Marinette and nodded.

"Right, of course."

OoOoOoOoO

The banquet area looked great, as Chloe said it would. Unsurprisingly, the heiress went all out on the decor, giving the space a very old fashion haunted mansion vibe that somewhat reminded Lucy of what a person might do for a Halloween-themed wedding. The overall setup of the space was the same, but the usual bright colors of white and gold were replaced with blacks, reds, and slivers. Spooky old-time photos hung on the walls and cobwebs hung from the chandeliers. Many of the table centers had candlesticks on them, lighting the individual tables in the dimly lit room. It was a fun space but also held a lot of elegance to it. All in all, Lucy loved it.

"You could totally be a party planner for a living," Lucy commented beside Chloe.

"It is rather fabulous isn't it?" Chloe replied, happy with her handy work. Of course, the only finger she really lifted was to point out how and where she wanted everything in the room, but it was still her vision.

"So, what are you going to be for Halloween?" Lucy asked as they made their way to the elevator. Chloe scoffed as they got inside and hit the button for her floor.

"Is that even a serious question? I'm going to be Queen Bee of course."

"Really?" Lucy asked. "You could be anything or anyone you wanted. Why be yourself?"

Chloe raised an eyebrow. "Why would I on earth would I want to be anyone else? I'm amazing." Lucy smiled and let out a small chuckle while nodding. It was a very Chloe answer and Lucy couldn't find herself to be the least bit surprised.

"Now, what are you going to be?" Chloe asked, opening the doors that lead to her suite. "You've been so hush-hush about it with everyone except for Dupain-Chang." She rolled her eyes.

Lucy grinned at her and snagged up her bag. "You're about to find out!" Quickly the two girls changed into their costumes. Chloe finished first and took a seat on her bed, flipping through her phone as she waited. When Lucy finally emerged, Chloe squinted and looked her up and down.

"You're a cat?" Lucy's shoulders dropped as she pouted at Chloe.

"I'm Chat Noir! But evil! Chat Blanc!" She then said, growing at Chloe playfully. Chloe looked her up and down once more with a passive expression.

"And you questioned my costume choice?"

"You could have been anything and you chose yourself!"

"You could have been anything and you chose to be Ladybug's sidekick if he failed at his one job!" Chloe countered.

"Who's ready to get this party started!" Sabrina spoke walking into the suite. Her eyes landed on the two girls and they widened.

"Are you anti-Chat?!" She asked excitedly.

"Akumatized Chat! Chat Blanc!" Lucy answered posing.

"Oh my gosh! I love it! You look so good! And it's scary!" Sabrina gushed.

"See," Lucy said gesturing towards the redhead. "She gets it." Chloe rolls her eyes once more and crosses her arms.

"Oh please."

"I like your costume, Sabrina." Lucy complimented. "Your face makeup looks great." Sabrina had gone the scary route and crimped her hair, frizzing it out and dressing in a rainbow long sleeve shirt and overalls. Her right eye was done in a cracked fashion that was done rather well giving her the perfect Chucky doll look.

"Thanks, Lucy! Chucky is the first American horror movie I ever watched and that was because my dad thought it was about a boy making friends with a talking doll."

"So, what is it actually about?" Chloe asked, having never seen the film. Before Sabrina could answer, Lucy, rushed over and placed a hand over her mouth.

"We'll just have to watch it tonight won't we?" She said with a devilish glint in her eye. Sabrina nodded from under Lucy's hands and Lucy released her.

"You know," Lucy then said to Chloe. "It is too bad I didn't tell you about my costume earlier. Perhaps then you could have been Anti Bug. We would have both been the evil versions of the heroes of Paris. It might have been iconic."

"Oooh." Sabrina went as she pointed at Chloe. Chloe blinked at them both as she thought it over before stomping her foot.

"Well damn it, Lucy."

"Eh, what can ya do? Let's, party ladies!"

OoOoOoOoOo

It didn't take long for people to arrive, as everyone had been looking forward to this since Lucy had brought it up at the beginning of the week. Lucy had been working the room, greeting guests and thanking them for coming. Everyone was dressed up in one way or another which was also awesome. Rose had decided to be a fairy, while Julika was a vampire. Kim had shown up as an Olympic gold medalist, while Max dressed as a cyborg from the future. Ivan and Maylene had gone as Fred and Wilma Flinstone, and Alya and Nino had shown up as Sherlock and Watson. Alix had gone for a mad scientist and Nathaniel walked around in a Hogwarts uniform.

"Boo." Mark had snuck up on Lucy. He wore a trench coat and fedora hat, his head, and hands wrapped in bandages.

"Coolest mummy detective on the block. Can you even see with those things on?" She asked gesturing his glasses.

"I'm actually the invisible man," Mark answered. "And not well. What are you supposed to be?"

"Akumatized Chat."

"Clever."

"I thought so. It seems to be going over a lot of people's heads though. I keep having to explain it." Mark shrugged.

"Akumatized Chat doesn't exist so no one knows what he looks like."

"Yeah, I know. I just thought it would be kinda obvious ya know?" She said flicking her bell.

OoOOo

Across the room, Adrien stood near the food table and looked around for Lucy. He had no idea what she had dressed up as but figured he would be able to spot her rather easily. As it turns out, that wasn't quite true. The blonde boy knew, however, that if he stayed near the snacks, he was sure to run into her eventually.

"Hey, Adrien." Luka greeted. The guitarist was dressed up as a Werewolf with fake wolf ears on his head and face makeup done. His clothes were baggy and torn with fake blood stains on them. Adrien, like Julika, had come as a vampire. He had mauled over his choice for days. He had never been to a Halloween party and had never had to dress up. The whole process had been nerve recking and Plagg had been no help at all, only mocking Adrien's every idea. He had wanted to go more toward the scary side but couldn't do anything with too much makeup in case an Akuma attack happened. With some fake fangs and the help of Nathalie finding him some vampire-style clothes without looking too tacky, Adrien had strolled into the party feeling not too bad about his choice.

"Hey, Luka. You look cool."

"Thanks, you too."

"Have you by any chance seen Lucy yet?" Adrien asked.

Luka nodded. "Yeah, a little while ago. She's been making her rounds, I'm sure she'll make her way over here soon. Wait till you see her costume. It's super rad."

"Oh, right. What did she end up being?"

Shaking his head, Luka chuckled. "Nah, I won't spoil it. She's been looking for everyone's genuine reactions all night. It will be no fun if you know ahead of time."

Adrien sighed as Luka snagged up a cookie and wandered off into the crowd.

OoOoOooO

The party was going great. Everyone was dancing, playing dumb party games, and mingling. Though Lucy had to explain her costume to most people when they did find out what she was dressed up as the majority of feedback was positive. After feeling like she had made a good amount of rounds, Lucy finally decided to make her way towards the food, practically starving from being too busy to eat much during the day. Noticing Marinette looking around nervously, Lucy took a detour and stopped by her dark-haired friend.

"You alright Marinette?" She asked, lacing a hand on Marinette's shoulder.

"Oh, me? Yeah, I'm fine. Gr-great even." Lucy blinked at her and raised an eyebrow.

"Are you trying to find Adrien?-"

"I'm trying to spot Adri- yes-yup."

Lucy shook her head. "I'm sure he is around here somewhere. I was about to get some food. You wanna come with me? Maybe he is over there." Marinette fiddled with the hem of her skirt and nodded. "By the way," Lucy then said as they made their way through the crowd. "Have you seen Luka yet?"

"Oh, um-no, not yet. Why?"

"He came as a werewolf and just saying-" Lucy then made a small howling noise and sent Marinette a wink who couldn't help but flush in the face and swat at her blonde friend. Before the girls could make it to the food, a cloaked figure appeared before them.

"Cool costume." Lucy complimented. "What are you supposed to be?"

The person under the cloak didn't respond and instead stood silently in front of the pair. Marinette got an unsettling feeling in the pit of her stomach and moved closer to Lucy who squinted at them. The room was dimly lit as it was. With that and the combination of the person's dark clothing, it was incredibly difficult to make out any details of their face.

"Umkay..." Lucy then spoke. "Well, bye then." The two girls then tried to go around the cloaked figure only for them to shift and continue to block their path. Lucy frowned and shot the person an annoyed look.

"I don't know if you're being creepy for the sake of being creepy or what, but I'm going to need you to move it along because I have a date with a chocolate cover pretzel."

"Lucy, somethings not right," Marinette spoke.

"You," A voice then came from under the cloak. It was disoriented but familiar. "You think you're so special. Do you think that you matter? That the people around you wouldn't carry on as they always have without you?" The figure moved closer to both Lucy and Marinette, who stood their ground firmly.

"You'll see," The person continued. "You're as much nothing as me." The person quickly then stuck their hand in a small sachel-like bag and brought their fist to their lips. Opening their hand, they blew some kind of sparkly black dust at Lucy. Lucy blinked and swatted the dust from her face before glaring.

"Lila," Lucy said allowed.

"Eraser." She corrected lifting her head so that the pair could now see her face. Lila, or now, Eraser, like many others had changed significantly in appearance. Her skin had become a pasty white and her eyes glowed red. Black markings were made up around her eyes and down her cheeks to her chin in a way that almost looked tribal. Her usually brown hair was now black, hidden away mostly inside of her cloak.

"What did you do to me?" Lucy asked, only for Eraser to smirk at her.

"I'm sure you'll figure it out." With a spin of her cloak, Eraser vanished, though the two girls were sure she wasn't far.

"She called herself Eraser," Lucy said to Marinette. "Usually Hawkoth gives pretty straightforward names. So I can only assume that she wants to literally Erase me but..." Lucy examined her body. "I don't understand, I'm still here. You can see me right?"

Marinette nodded. "Yeah, I can still see you. What else could she mean? We should alert Ladybug and Chat Noir. Whatever she did won't be good."

Lucy nodded. "Right, of course. I just wish I knew-" Lucy looked up from the floor as she exited her thoughts only to find Marinette no longer beside her. She looked around and flapped her arms out in annoyance. "What is with people Batmaning me." Making her way across the room, finally getting closer to food, Lucy sighed. Might as well eat and wait for the cavalry to arrive. Finding Max there also, Lucy greeted him.

"Having fun Maxy," Lucy said shoving a pretzel stick in her mouth. Max looked at her and smiled politely.

"I'm having lots of fun. Though I will be honest, I calculated the odds and the variables and for the life of me still can't comprehend what would have made Chloe want to have a party and invite so many people she claims to dislike." Lucy made a face at him.

"Well to be fair it's my party and I invited all the people she claims to dislike. Chloe just graciously helped out with the location issue."

"Your party? If that is the case, why did you invite a bunch of strangers? Why not your friends?" Lucy blinked at him, trying to process his words.

"Strangers? Max, what are you talking about?"

Max gave a small shrug, looking somewhat uncomfortable all of a sudden. "Well, I don't know about everyone, but you invited me, and we don't even know one another."

"Max, if we don't know each other, how do I know your name?"

"Oh, uh-well, because-"

"It's because I do know you and we are friends. We are in the same homeroom class. You were there when I told everyone about the party."

Max squinted at Lucy. "I'm sorry..."

"Lucy!" She exclaimed.

"I'm sorry Lucy, I think you have me mistaken for someone else. I have an unmatched photographic memory. If we had met before I would know." He apologized. Lucy squeezed her eyes shut.

"That doesn't make any-" Then it hit her. "Sense." Eraser.

OoOoOoo

Chat huffed in annoyance as he came back in through the doorway. He had noticed Ladybug scanning the area and knew something was up and carefully slipped out of the party to transform. Low and behold, a message was waiting for him on his staff from Ladybug, asking him to meet her at the very Halloween party he had been attending. He spotted Ladybug off in the corner, their eyes met and she signaled him over to her. Chat did his best to avoid the crowd as a whole, not wanting to grab too much attention.

"Whats up M'lady." He asked casually. Ladybug frowned as she scanned the crowd.

"I'm not entirely sure yet but we need to find Lucy. Lila has been akumatized again and is going by Eraser. She sprinkled something on Lucy and vanished."

"Eraser? Huh, well, alright, let's find Lucy then. Do you know what she is dressed up as?"

"You." Lucy's voice called out from behind them, making the two heroes turn. Chat's eyes widened at the sight of Lucy in a costume that resembled his own, except for the one obvious difference. "I'm an akumatized you."

"Ive never been akumatized!" Chat argued, making Lucy laugh.

"I know. This is a concept made up entirely from my imagination. I took some inspiration from Anti bug and now we have Chat Blanc." Lucy explained. "I wanted to be something scary, and if the thought of the Miraculous that's power is destruction being akumatized isn't terrifying, then I don't know what is."

Chat looked Lucy up and down. The thought of him being akumatized was terrifying, and yet, looking the girl over in her white, skin-tight bodysuit, Chat Noir couldn't help but get a lump in his throat. Lucy could cataclysm him any day and in the end, he would thank her for it.

"Cat got your tongue?" Lucy joked at Chat's ogling. He brought his eyes to hers as the drooped lazily and a throaty purr emerged from his chest.

"Chat, she's in danger remember. Focus." Ladybug said, snapping her fingers in front of her partner. Chat shook his head.

"Right, Akuma!"

"I think I figured out what she is doing," Lucy said, now more serious. "I ran into Max by the food. He doesn't remember me at all."

"So by 'erasing' you, she means to erase you from the memories of people that know you." Ladybug said bringing her hand to her chin.

"But if that's the case, why do we remember you?" Chat asked.

"Well, that's the thing. After the run-in with Max, I decided to just go up to people and ask if they knew who I was. The results varied."

"That doesn't make any sense." Ladybug said. "Why would she make only some people forget you and not others?"

"I asked myself that too. I had no idea until I ran into Luka for the second time. When I asked him at first if he knew me he looked at me funny and was like of course. I explained to him what happened with Max and he told me he would keep an eye out for anything weird. But when I ran into him a few moments ago he didn't remember me either. Or at least, not well. It was like he recognized me but it was as if he thought we had just run into one another before in the past or something."

Chat and Ladybug knitted their eyebrows together and looked at one another. Lucy sighed.

"Max and I are friends, but we are not close where Luka is one of my best friends. It seems like the more memories a person has with me, the longer it takes for them to forget."

"Then we need to find Eraser before we forget why we are looking for her in the first place," Ladybug says, earning a nod from Chat.

"I'm afraid it gets worse," Lucy says, as she then holds up her hand. The two heroes gasp slightly at the sight of her now transparent-looking appendage. She lets out a bitter laugh. "It seems the more people forget me, the more I disappear. Without me in this world, the memories of every moment we've shared together will be gone. We only exist because others see us. Part of our existence...an important part, only exists because we are here to see it. I feel like Marty McFly without the time travel."

"Don't worry Lucy." Chat said. "We won't let you disappear. I won't."

"We need a plan and fast." Ladybug announced. "Lucky charm!"

Maybe it was the volume of the music, or that people were too distracted by their own good time, or even because it was Halloween and everyone there was dressed up. Maybe it was the fact that pieces of their memory were slowly being taken away from them. Whatever the case may be, no one really noticed Ladybug and Chat Noir. The few people they ran into seemed to think it was just another person in a costume. Ladybug help on tightly to her lucky charm which happened to be a white sheet as they scanned the room for Eraser.

"Any sign of her?" Chat asked, finally reconnecting with his partner from circling the room a bit. Ladybug shook her head no.

"I have no idea where she could be hiding. We might need some bait. Maybe if we can get...uh.." Ladybug snapped her fingers. "Eh, the girl..Lu..Lucy! Maybe if we can get her to wander off alone, Eraser will appear and try and taunt her or something."

"You're forgetting her!" Chat said accusingly. Ladybug frowned.

"Forgetting who?"

"Lucy!"

"Uh, right..." Ladybug shut her eyes and brought her fingers to her temples. "Lucy, Lucy, Lucy."

Chat growled. "You know what, it doesn't matter. You don't have to remember her name. All you have to remember is there is a girl being targeted by an Akuma. You're not going to forget me. You're not going to forget I said that. A girl is being targeted by an Akuma." He repeated. Ladybug nodded.

"A girl is being targeted by an Akuma. Eraser is targeting a girl at this party."

OoOoOoOoo

Lucy sat on the roof of the hotel and sighed. Chat and Ladybug had suggested she leave the party. That the Akuma that was after her would be more likely to approach her if she was alone. They didn't say it, but Lucy could tell by the way Ladybug addressed her. The superheroine didn't was forgetting her, if she hadn't completely already. Lucy looked down at herself, noticing as her body slowly became more transparent. It was only a matter of time before Chat forgot her too. She took out her phone and skimmed through the contacts and before she could realize what she was doing, she hit dial on Adrien's number. It went to voice mail. Lucy didn't leave a message. Instead, she then called her mother who surprisingly did answer.

"Hey, honey. I didn't expect to hear from you. How's the party?" Her mother's voice was a comfort.

"It's good," Lucy answered. "Just checking in."

"Well, I appreciate that. I'm glad you're having a good time."

"I love you mom," Lucy told her.

"I love you too...Lu are you sure you are alright? You sound...off." Her mother asked, uncertainty in her voice.

"I'm fine. Just wanted you to know." In case you forget me.

"Alright...well, call me if you need anything okay?"

"I will. Bye, mom."

"Bye, sweetheart."

Monica hung up the phone on the other end feeling very uncertain. Something about tonight was eating away at her and now she...a sigh escaped her lips as she shook her head. She was probably just stressed. Everything was fine, she just needed to finish grading these papers. Nothing was out of the ordinary, just a regular Halloween night alone. Monica had no reason to worry about the daughter whose image began fading from all the photographs in the apartment. After all, she had never had one to begin with had she?

OoOoO

Chat grabbed his head as it throbbed.

"Come now girl, look at this pretty boy, would taking a few photos with him really be so bad?" The photographer cooed.

Adrien blushed lightly as the girl raised an eyebrow and looked him up and down before shaking her head.

"That's not the point!"

"Chat are you alright?" Ladybug asked, touching his shoulder.

"Hey! It's you!" He spoke.

"Bye hun! I love you!" Lucy's mom shouted before pulling away. Lucy turned and gave her mom another wave before bringing her attention back to the boy.

"Yeah, uh, sorry. Hi, I'm Lucy."

"Adrien." The blonde greeted with a grin. "Glad to finally be formally introduced. Sorry about the other day by the way."

Lucy waved him off. "It's fine."

"So you go to school here now?" Adrien politely asked.

"It would appear so. I-"

"Adriekins!" A voice called out and in a flash, a blonde girl with bright blue eyes hugged Adrien from behind. She wore a yellow sweater with a black and white striped shirt and white Capri pants.

"Adriekins?" Lucy repeated with a laugh. "Oh..oh yes, yes to everything that is."

"Chat?!" Ladybug called out again.

"My head, it's killing me." He moaned in pain.

"Some would say it's dangerous for a lady to be out at night alone."

"Guess it's a good thing I'm not alone then." She replied still smiling, it made Noir want to smile too.

"It has to be Eraser! Whatever she is doing, it's affecting you too. That girl, you must know her."

Girl? What girl?

You know, it's okay your not all heart. I have enough for both of us. It will be a team strategy for us. You be the head, I'll be the heart. Like a balloon with a tiny weight attached to it. I'll be the one who keeps things exciting for you, keeping your feet off the ground and you can be the one who holds on to me so that way I won't float away

"Go home Chat Noir."

Chat straightened and gave her a grin. "Would it be weird to say I kinda feel like I already am?"

A small laugh escaped Lucy. "My apartment feels like home to you?"

"Not the apartment."

Lucy...Lucy...Lucy...

"Look! Eraser showed up!" Ladybug whispered. "She's talking to the girl."

OoOoO

"So how does it feel," Eraser asked, standing behind Lucy. "To know how easy it is to remove you from people's lives without them even noticing."

Lucy pursed her lips but didn't turn to face the villain.

"Not great. I'll admit."

"I did warn you didn't I? Not to make me your enemy."

"So what's your plan then. After this. Isn't part of the deal of being Akumatized to get Ladybug and Chat Noir's Miraculous. How does making them forget me, help you?"

"It doesn't," Eraser admitted. "This was just for me."

"How petty of you." Lucy snorted.

"Well, to be fair, Hawkmoth has taken quite the interest in you, Lucy. Why else would he give me the ability to torment you without a guaranteed plan to get Ladybug and Chat Noir's Miraculous? What a pretty pawn you make. Somewhere, not far from us, Chat Noir is struggling to remember you. He's forgetting you and he knows it and it's killing him. Why wouldn't Hawkmoth use that?" Eraser laughed. "I'm not here for Ladybug and Chat Noir's Miraculous. I'm here to torcher them, through you, just for the fun of it."

Lucy could feel angry tears sting her eyes as Eraser laughed. The villain pouted at Lucy's silence.

"Aw, don't worry. This, right now. It's only temporary. But as long as Hawkmoth is around, and as long as you and Chat Noir give even the slightest crap about each other...well..." Eraser let out a content sigh. "Eventually you'll wish for the day you can actually cease to exist from their memories. At least if they couldn't remember you, you couldn't be the center of their pain. More specifically Chat Noir's of course."

"When I found out my dad died. I almost felt numb. For a bit, I thought maybe I died too. Then I realized I only felt like dying because I was alive. You have to be to feel that way. As I am sure you can remember, I wasn't dead, I was just really really sad."

"Lucy..."

"But, I'll let you in on a little secret I learned," Lucy spoke, looking over to her closet, that held all the letters her dad had left behind. "So you won't have to be sad anymore."

On the other side of the line, Adrien could feel his throat constrict a bit, struggling to swallow. "What's that?"

"Dead doesn't mean gone."

"I want you to promise me something okay?"

"What?"

Lucy's eyes looked at him tensely as her fingers played with the stitching of his couch.

"Never lie to me. Not about important stuff at least. Not about how you're feeling."

"Lucy..I..."

"I need you to know that I would never judge you or treat you differently because of something out of your control. I need you to know that I..." She paused. "That you're my friend, and I love you, and I don't want you to feel like you ever need to hide things from me. Not to spare my feelings or anyone else's. I just want you to be able to be you, no matter what okay? I need you to know that, and promise me."

I have gotten so accustomed to you keeping secrets and needing to lie to me for the sake of your identity...that I forgot how good at it you are.

"Chat Now!" Ladybug shouted, tangling Eraser up in the sheet and tossing him the satchel she was sure had the Akuma in it.

"I'm fine. I won't burden you with my-"

"No," Adrien said. "Please, burden me. Always."

Lucy looked at him and gave a small smile. "I'll burden you if you burden me."

"Deal."

"It's not going to work." She whispered, calming down a little as they still held each other.

"I know." He said. "But that doesn't make it any less real."

"Cataclysm!"

"Well..."Adrien started. "Even if you could only love a part of him...I'm sure he loved all of you." Lucy gave a small chuckle.

"Yeah? What makes you so sure?" Adrien had to choose his next words carefully.

"Because you're my friend too. And I love you." He admitted. "And if Chat is like me, then how could he not?"

"Are you asking me on a date?" She asked dumbstruck. Adrien's eyes widened in panic at her reaction.

Yes!

"Pffff, whaaaat? No!" He spoke.

Idiot!

"Miraculous Ladybug!"

Nothing that I wouldn't do
Go to the ends of the Earth for you
To make you feel my love

Ladybugs swarmed them all and Eraser was no more. Instead, all that was left was Lila. Lucy looked herself over and sighed in relief as she could no longer see through her hands. Chat Noir and Ladybug stood next to Lucy, smiling at the fact that she was safe and sound, the fact that they both came close to forgetting Lucy completely gone from their minds.

"Ladybug and Chat Noir! Thanks for saving me again!" Lila said from the ground. "I really have to work on my temper. I'm so sorry Lucy!" Lucy looked down at Lila and opened her mouth to speak but nothing came out. What left did she have to offer? Forgiveness? Resentment? Indifference?

"Go home, Lila." That was all she could muster as she walked past the Italian girl and headed for the elevator door.

Lila frowned after her as Ladybug picked her up by the arm.

"Come one."

With the slightest of reluctance, Lila held onto Ladybug who then used her yo-yo to get them off the roof. Chat watched Lucy get into the elevator and when their eyes met he sent her a reassuring smile. His ears cast downward as she didn't return it. The elevator doors closed and Chat's ring beeped, warning him his time as his hero persona was coming to an end. Quickly, he made his way back to ground level and de-transformed, making sure to carefully slip back inside the building unnoticed.

OoOoOoOoO

Inside, Adrien found himself at the snack table once more, eyeing the crowd in hopes to lock eyes with Lucy. He was sure she was still here. It was her party after all. Everyone was going about their business as usual and he was certain no one even realized there had been an Akuma attack.

"There you are." Lucy's voice rang through his ears like church bells. "I've been looking all over for you." His eyes took in her outfit again and smiled.

"Are you supposed to be some kind of Chat Noir?" He asked as she got closer.

"As a matter of fact, I am. Say hello to Chat Blanc! The evil and akumatized version of Chat Noir." She explained placing her hands on her hips. Whatever negative thoughts had been plaguing her mind earlier on the roof seemed to go away. Then again...

"I'm not a shiny person Chat Noir, but I'm pretty good at pretending to be." Despite your best efforts, people are going to be hurt when it's time for them to be hurt.

"Well, I have to say. If you're the bad guy. you have a pretty good disguise." Lucy rolled her eyes.

"That's such a good guy thing to say." Lucy grabbed a macaron from the table and looked it over as if debating on if she really wanted to take a bite or not. It seems she decided against it as she then tossed the treat in a nearby trashcan.

"Is something wrong?" Adrien asked. It wasn't like Lucy to pass up on food, especially macarons.

"You know what I think?" she says. "That people's memories are maybe the fuel they burn to stay alive. Whether those memories have any actual importance or not, it doesn't matter as far as the maintenance of life is concerned. They're all just fuel. Advertising fillers in the newspaper, philosophy books, dirty pictures in a magazine, a bundle of cash: when you feed 'em to the fire, they're all just paper. The fire isn't thinking 'Oh, this is Kant,' or 'Oh, this is the special edition,' or 'Nice tits,' while it burns. To the fire, they're nothing but scraps of paper. It's the exact same thing. Important memories, not-so-important memories, totally useless memories: there's no distinction-they're all just fuel."

Adrien opened his mouth to speak but no words formed. Lucy smiled at him briefly.

"I'm gonna get some air. Kinda stuffy in here." She vanished into the crowd and left Adrien standing there uncertain of what to do next. Lucy was complex and confusing to him. He never really knew what the right thing to say to her was. A hand patting his shoulder shook him from his thoughts as he turned his head to see Nikolas beside him.

"You know, for someone who is the celebrity crush of the majority of girls in Paris, you sure aren't much of a ladies' man." The older boy commented. Adrien shrugged his shoulder away from him.

"I don't recall asking you."

"You didn't," Nikolas told him. "But let me just do you this favor and tell ya it's not going to happen." Adrien narrowed his eyes at him.

"I don't know what you're talking about."

"You don't know what I'm-? Come off it man. You got the hots for Lucy Lu. I don't blame you. In case you forgot I once was the object of her affections. Those were good times."

"Yeah and then you lost her by being an asshole." Adrien shot back only for Nikolas to scoff slightly.

"Yeah well..." He muttered. "The point still stands. You're not her type."

"You don't even know me!" Adrien argues and Nikola rolls his eyes.

"Maybe, but I know Lucy. I know her like the back of my hand. You wanna know why Lucy liked me?"

"Because she was young and stupid?" Adrien muttered only to be ignored by the older boy.

"Because she and I are the same. No bullshit. The moment I met that girl I wanted to be with her and so I laid all my cards out on the table for her. And in return, she did the exact same for me."

"And that worked out great clearly-"

"Man, shut up!" Nikolas shot at Adrien. "You don't know half of what you think you know. I made a mistake and I owned up to it immediately. We tried to work it past it but she couldn't and I accepted that, I had no resentment toward her for that. I may not be the greatest guy out there but I loved that girl, and I won't let you or anyone else try and tell me otherwise."

Adrien wanted to call him a liar. He wanted to call him and liar and a cheat and tell him that he didn't know what love was. But he couldn't. Honesty was the only emotion radiating from Nikolas. Adrien couldn't explain how, but he could see it.

"It won't work between you because you're a snowflake. You sit around waiting and hoping Lucy will notice you and you're feelings and I hate to break it to ya buddy but she's not gonna. Lucy likes straightforward guys. No bull-"

"No bullshit, right," Adrien grunted.

"It's like she is oblivious to how absolutely amazing she is. If you don't tell her, she won't know and eventually, some other guy who isn't scared to say what he wants is going to stroll in and swoop her off her feet. Let me tell you man if you wait until then..."Nikolas trailed off. "Well, it's probably best to just cut your losses. Nut up or shut up am I right?" The older boy patted Adrien's back and sauntered off, leaving Adrien with his thoughts.

As much as he hated to admit it, Nikolas had a point. The only real way Lucy would ever know his feelings is if he told her. Directly. No bullshit. He feared what would happen if he did, but feared more of what would happen if he didn't. Leaving the snack table Adrien marched towards the doorway where Lucy had gone, determined to find her. As it turns out she wasn't far. She stood just outside the hotel's main entrance, leaning against the concrete wall. Her mask had come off and her hair was no longer in the high ponytail it had been in earlier. She stood with her arms crossed, her mouth evidently biting the inside of her cheek, something Adrien had noticed she did often when she was in deep thought.

"Hey." He called out. Lucy's eyes shifted to him, but she only gave him a small nod in acknowledgment. Adrien was almost scared to move. They were both looking at the same moon, in the same world. They're connected to reality by the same line. All he has to do is quietly draw it towards him. Sometimes when he looks at her, he feels he's gazing at a distant star. It's dazzling, but the light is from tens of thousands of years ago. Maybe the star doesn't even exist anymore. Yet sometimes that light seems more real to him than anything.

"Do you want to talk about it?" He then asks, slowly stepping closer.

"Talk about what?" She asks, not looking at him.

"Whatever is taking you so far away." Adrien answers. Lucy looks up at him, now seeing the distance between them had decreased to only a foot or two. She sighs and rubs her face.

"I just keep getting reminders that there are consequences for my actions is all." She then admitted. Adrien watched her face as she continued to look up at the sky. "Have you ever met someone and felt . . . I don't know how to describe it, felt a chance at having something that eluded you? I don't know . . . Forget I said anything."

He knew what she meant. She was describing that moment when you realize that you are lonely. For a time you can be alone and doing fine and never give a thought to living any other way and then you meet someone and suddenly you become lonely. It stabs at you, almost like a physical pain, and you feel both deprived and angry, deprived because you wish to be with that person and angry because their absence brings you misery. He hated that she felt that way. He hated that he did too. It would be so much easier if he could just...

"I love you, Lucy. I need you to know that." Adrien admitted. Lucy's eyes met his and she gave him a soft smile.

"I know Adrien." But she didn't. Not really. "I love you too."

He wanted to explain it to her. Express that his words meant so much more than just what she was hearing.

Nut up or shut up is what Nikolas had said to him. As Adrien looked down at Lucy, and she took a hold of his hand in her own and leaned her head against his shoulder he tried. It was there, sitting in his core. I love you more. A short and sweet sentiment that he was sure if he just said it would get the point across. He wanted it to be the right time, the right place, the right moment. He knew in his heart of hearts that when it came he would know it and there would be no way to stop it. No bullshit. This wasn't it. He wanted it to be, but this simply wasn't it.

Nut up or shut up.

He shut up.

Guys this chapter is 10 and a half thousand words. How did that happen? Also, I was reading something. You know how we are always like, how do they not know their identities blah blah blah. The answer is statistics.

Dolly Parton lost in a look-alike contest of herself to a drag queen, Hugh Jackman went to a Comicon as Wolverene and was only recognized by 2 people and someone said he was too tall for the character to cosplay. The guy in the most recent Superman movies said when he got food in costume as a superman he was bombarded by people but dressed as Clark Kent no one recognized him.

Statistically speaking it is highly unlikely to run into celebrities. This is why most of the time people don't even acknowledge them. The same could be said about superheroes. Obviously, Ladybug for example people look at her hair and are like duh, but when you think about it realistically, the odds that someone in your class or simply just someone you know being a superhero is so unlikely that unless you are really looking at them side by side, your brain isn't going to match up the faces. At best, you would just think they look similar or even are their doppelganger before believing that the person you know is actually a celebrity or superhero.

Because what are the odds? Slim to none. Our brains know that and respond to look likes accordingly.

So when you think about it. People not realizing who Ladybug and Chat Noir are isn't that crazy. We only think it is because we actually know.

Anyway. I hope you enjoyed this chapter! I probably won't get around to another one until after I get back from my trip so it being long is like a sorry for the gap haha. I look forward to reading your comments and hearing your thoughts. This took me quite a bit of time to put together so I can only hope you like it!

Chow for now!
