Chapter 21- advice to go to Rio early

Meanwhile

Back at Falkor's infirmary, Trixie continued undergoing examination and treatment for her chill and injuries with Viserys the medic dragonbird examining her left wing, the damaged one. Pietro and Wanda stood with Alvin, Isabella, Tristan, Quincy, Sapphire, Aiden, Levi and Phoebe while Carolina and Wikstrom, the mates of the first two, were back at their homes in the Árbol de la Casa tending to their chicks Jose, Linguini, Remy and Emilia, the cousins of the latter six and Trixie. As Viserys checked the left wing of the traumatised and chill-suffering chick, the result of being stuck out in the stormy jungle for two long days because of the storm and unable to return to the canopy due to not being able to fly due to a damaged wing. While a hyacinth macaw medic kept Trixie wrapped in a leaf-bandage to keep her warm, Viserys extended her left wing fully to check its flight feathers. The moment the smaller-than-normal glaucous macaw chick's wing became visible to show the damage, horror tore through her six cousins, aunt, uncle, grandmother and grandfather.

"Look... at... THAT," breathed Pietro. Tristan, Quincy, Sapphire, Aiden, Levi and Phoebe looked on with tears and disbelief and the females, the third and sixth ones, actually broke down, their wings burying their faces. Trixie's left wing still had the secondary flight feathers, those that attached to the forearm of the wing, and also the tertiaries, the flight feathers of the upper arm, but most of the primary flight feathers, those that attach to a bird's hand bones and the most critical part of the wing for flight in a flying bird, were largely missing. Viserys gave the sad conclusion.

"She will DEFINITELY no' b' able t' fly wi' such damage as 'at t' her left wing," the dragonbird said, "Without th' primary flight feathers of one wing, she cannot take off."

"She's gonna have to be carried around then," said Wanda, shock at the damage to Trixie's wing gripping her.

"Millie, Tillie and their gang certainly HAVE done an EXCELLENT job in not only traumatising poor Trixie, but grounding her as WELL!" shouted Phoebe angrily and tearfully.

"It's ALL our fault that she's ended up like that," said Tristan, his wings burying his face in shame.

"If only we had done a more careful check during our rush to get back home before the storm's first wave, she wouldn't have ended up like that!" cried Quincy. The other four also wailed in agreement and Wanda and Pietro remained in tearful silence. Then OUTRAGE flared within Alvin.

"Rudi may be related to us through Antares and Samara's pairing with our older, first-brood daughter Bellatrix and son Sirius respectively," the grandfather growled, "But they are NOT our family at all, especially if they are gonna allow their kids to run amuck causing THAT level of trouble such as endangering lives like what one of their daughters had done to Bia, and putting animals through traumatic situations like what Millie and Tillie have done with Trixie with their gang."

"Dis is gettin' outa wing, I can tell ya," said Viserys as he gently returned Trixie's ruined left wing to her side, "She's jus' like Alexandre, one o' th' silver bat-birds, grounded 'cos o' them."

"Can pterosaur and bat wings recover if they have been damaged?" asked Isabella.

"Depends on th' extent of it," replied Viserys, "Small tears can heal by themselves in membranous wings bu' truly serious damage, like what Alexandre suffered at th' clutches o' Katrina, one o' Rudi an' Tremaine's most VIOLENT chicks when he went t' defend tha' Lear's macaw, can take a longer time t' heal or can be irreparable, rendering th' bat-bird or bat grounded for life."

"I'm surprised Alexandre wasn't taken to the animal hospital to have his wing fixed," said Pietro.

"Th' silver bat-birds prefer t' treat their own injuries an' keep a low profile from humans, an' besides that," said Viserys, "They have figured out 'ow t' mend damaged membranes. In EXTREME cases then that is an option," the dragonbird's gaze turned to Trixie, "In case of birds an' their feathers, loss of primary feathers on th' wing usually fix themselves but i' takes while for new feathers t' grow an' replace th' damaged ones."

"At least Trixie has the hope of being able to fly again once her left wing grows the replacement flight feathers," said Wanda while Pietro and Isabella comforted Tristan, Quincy, Sapphire, Aiden, Levi and Phoebe who were sobbing. Just then, a pink-and-purple macaw peered into the infirmary through the entrance.

"Hi, can Tristan, Quincy, Sapphire, Aiden, Levi and Phoebe come with me to the Meeting Tree please? Augustus has sent me here to fetch them," the macaw said.

"We'll take them there," said Alvin and with that, he commanded the six to follow him and Isabella.

"And we'll return to our mates and chicks due to this storm's second wave approaching," said Wanda and with that, she and Pietro followed Alvin, Isabella and their nephews and nieces to the hollow entrance/exit. After flashing Trixie one last look, the family left. As Tristan, Quincy, Sapphire, Aiden, Levi and Phoebe flew with their grandparents and the pink-and-purple macaw, the first one asked, "Grandpa, will Trixie be okay?"

"She's in good hands and wings," said Alvin, "In the meantime, you focus on getting to the Meeting Tree."

"I wonder how Mom (Samara), Uncle Antares and Aunts Jewel and Ruby's meeting with Mr Rudi went," said Quincy. Then a wave of disgust went through Levi.

"I still cannot BELIEVE that one of our OWN COUSINS would endanger Bia like that and attack Neptune," he growled with disgust against Katrina and her antics, "BOTH of them two of the chicks of the Spix tribe's patriarch's daughter."

"Let's just get to the Meeting Tree," said Isabella and with that, the eight glaucous macaws followed the pink-and-purple macaw to said destination.

Later

The storm's second wave was by now very close but a group of certain macaws and flying foxes wanted to get an important issue out of the way first and fast. At the Meeting Tree, Blu and company perched. Blu with his mate Jewel and their six chicks Carla, Bia, Tiago, Neptune, Arrokoth and Chrysocolla stood in one group. Bia's healing claw marks resulting from Katrina's savage attack on her were clearly visible and Neptune also had the claw mark on his left shoulder. It was a wonder he was able to fly at all when Katrina struck him but his action in bringing help had saved Bia's life and Blu, Jewel and the others had been incredibly proud of his bravery and determination, especially Bia. Near Blu and his family, Aurora and her mate Zephyr perched with Justin, Charlotte, Matilda, Virgil and Eustace, their large brood of five and the largest single brood of the group. Near this family were Zephyr's sister Brisa and her family, her mate and Zephyr and Aurora's brother-in-law Roberto and their two chicks Finnick and Lavendulan, the cousins of Justin and his siblings. With the three Spix macaw families were the two main glaucous macaw families: Sirius and Bellatrix with their respective mates Samara and Antares and their chicks Tristan, Quincy and Sapphire and Aiden, Levi and Phoebe. Trixie was absent as she could not fly and was still being treated for her injuries and chill. Next to the glaucous macaws were Ferdinand, Ruby, Opal and Sheldon, the blended blue-and-gold and scarlet macaw family, and the flying fox family consisting of Orion, Ahsoka and their offspring Sandalwood, Acerola, Hermione and Ganymede and Gordie. The seven bats hung upside down from a nearby upper branch near the macaws with Ganymede clutched onto Ahsoka's breast and Acerola carrying Gordie.

As the group waited to be called into the main meeting hollow of the Meeting Tree, Blu was fidgety and restless. He LOATHED situations like this and always dreaded meetings with his father-in-law but Jewel constantly assured him that they were not in trouble. However, Jewel herself certainly was for what she had done to Katrina had been UTTERLY foolish to say the least and though Jewel did regret breaking Katrina's wing for her caustic mockery of Bia and the sickening pleasure of seeing her get fed to some piranha, she couldn't care less. But her actions have landed her group into a difficult situation which was why Eduardo and Augustus had called them to here. The group was to have their meeting in the Main Meeting hollow, which was where Eduardo, Felipe, Augustus and the leaders of the clans that made up the mixed-species tribe gathered to discuss plans and updates, usually monthly. As they continued to wait, Ferdinand gazed at the looming black storm cloud, its thunderous growls rattling the air and flashes of lightning sparking within its lobes in the sky.

"I do not like the looks of the second wave," the blue-and-gold macaw and one of the main leaders of the group spoke with dread, "I'm SO glad we took the opportunity to look for Trixie after the first wave had passed."

"I heard you and Trixie were almost bitten by a venomous snake but Ahsoka saved you in time," said Ruby, a nod to the ginger bat as she hung upside down next to Orion with Ganymede clutched to her breast, "Astonishing really. She has a fear of snakes but she seemed to have overcome it by risking getting bitten to save you two from a potentially fatal snakebite."

"Yes, but she would have been bitten herself," said Ferdinand, "but I'm grateful for her brave, albeit reckless, act."

Ruby nodded in agreement before her gaze turned to Ganymede and Gordie as Ahsoka and Acerola held them in their wings. Opal and Sheldon also gazed at the two newest additions to Orion and Ahsoka's family.

"Have Ganymede and Gordie been targeted by Millie, Tillie and their wicked gang yet?" asked the former worriedly.

"No, thankfully," said Ferdinand as he also gazed at the two chocolate brown identical twin brothers, "But that may change as their parents and older siblings fear."

"Thus, they have set up strict rules for the pair such as NO going off on their own, AT ALL," said Ruby, "They may have not liked it but it is for their safety..."

"Um, about that," said Roberto in his silvery voice, pulling the colourful family his, Brisa, Lavendulan and Finnick's direction, "But Raul did tell us including Eduardo and Mimi that while he was with Millie, Tillie and his gang and they talked about who to target next, especially 'those chicks of that mud-pet son-in-law of Eddie', Millie and Tillie suggested the twins of 'that mud-pet bat' and how they 'would like to give those winged maggots a piece of their mind if they get the chance...'"

Gasps rolled through the other families including Ferdinand's.

"Did I just hear THAT right!?" asked Zephyr. In Blu's family, Jewel snapped her glare in the other direction, her ANGER against Rudi and his family FLARING within her again.

"So it's TRUE!?" blurted out Ferdinand while Ruby, Opal and Sheldon. However, Roberto's explanation had not gone unheard by a group of certain pairs of ears. Roberto looked up and gazed at a certain family of large bats as they stared back at him in dismayed disbelief. A wave of regret at insinuating at Millie and Tillie's possible plans in targeting Orion and Ahsoka's twin sons washed over him and he apologised to the flying fox family profusely.

"No, DON'T apologise," shouted Orion to stop Roberto's profuse apology fountain. In Ahsoka and Aceroa's wings, Ganymede and Gordie cowered in fear, "It's good you let us ALL know."

Aurora turned to the others dreadfully.

"This is bad, folks," said she.

"Looks like Orion and Ahsoka's twin sons ARE potential targets AFTER all," said Sirius. Near him, Samara broke down, her face buried in her wings, while her chicks Tristan, Quincy and Sapphire comforted her. Antares stood nearby, his wings wrapped around his body and his distressed face bowed to the forest floor. Bellatrix, Levi, Aiden and Sapphire came round him to comfort him. Then Blu changed the subject and went over to the glaucous macaws.

"We heard what had happened to Trixie and how she is now rendered grounded until her left remiges, or wing primary flight feathers, grow back," said he in a sympathetic voice.

"She's gonna have to be carried until then," said Sirius.

"It's just TERRIBLE," cried Samara, "Part of our extended FAMILY'S just GONE COMPLETELY ROTTEN," her gaze then turned to Antares as he sat with his family around him, weeping, "But it's worse for him because Rudi is his brother, a DIRECT blood relative."

Blu flashed a look at Antares and then gazed back at Samara, Sirius and their chicks minus Trixie.

"Have you ever thought of having Trixie transferred to the enclosure for permanently maimed animals back in Rio?" asked Blu, "She will be safer there and will not have to deal with the constant bullying from so many other macaws for her size for one and be protected from the dangers of the jungle out here for another. Luke and Hauyne will help look after her."

"But Blu," protested Sirius, "that place is for animals that have suffered PERMANENT injuries such that they cannot be returned to the wild for the REST of their lives, such as Luke with the loss of his left wing because of Nigel."

"Indeed," put in Samara, "Trixie is PERFECTLY healthy, has NOTHING wrong with her apart from her small size and she LIKES accompanying us here."

"We would DEARLY miss her if we went without her," said Tristan.

"And besides that, doesn't Mr Bastian, the uncle of our hyacinth macaw friends Victor and Teresa have that same problem?" added Aiden.

"He is smaller than an average grownup hyacinth macaw and yet, he does well here," said Sapphire. Blu then entered thought. As he did, Sirius came to him.

"We'll keep that as an option, so thanks for suggesting it," said he, "Right now, Trixie will NOT be transferred to the Maimed Animal Enclosure in Rio. She's too healthy to be placed into that enclosure..."

"But in the event that Trixie suffers a BAD and irreparable wing injury such that she ends up grounded for life, like Luke, then that will be a straight-up yes," said Samara, "But the wing injury she has suffered at the clutches of Millie, Tillie and their gang is only temporary. Her wing flight feathers WILL grow back and she will be able to fly again, but again, thanks for mentioning it."

Blu breathed a slightly fretful sigh and left the glaucous macaw family to rejoin his own. He was met with a displeased glare from his mate.

"I cannot believe you would make such an inappropriate suggestion to them, Blu," hissed Jewel angrily, "Don't you think Sirius and Bellatrix's families are going through enough as it is with almost losing Trixie AND the state of their relatives (that is, Rudi and his family), especially Antares and Samara!?"

As she spoke, Bia, Carla, Tiago, Neptune, Arrokoth and Chrysocolla exchanged glances.

"It was only a suggestion, my gem," replied Blu, "I-I-I thought Trixie would be safer at the Enclosure for Permanently Maimed Animals in Rio but..."

"Let's just prepare for the meeting, Blu," snapped Jewel and with that, she grumpily walked to the edge of the perch and sat there. Blu breathed again and gazed at the Meeting Tree.

Soon the group was summoned to the tree by a silver bat-bird who was one of Augustus and Melissa's inner circle members and the group of macaws and flying foxes left their perches and went there. As the seven main families touched down at the entrance to the Main Meeting Room, Eduardo and Augustus greeted them.

"Thank you all for coming," the Spix tribe's patriarch and Jewel's father said, "Just to remind you lot, you are NOT in trouble," his glare then turned to a certain sour-faced Spix macaw as she pouted, "Though Jewel there, I want a SERIOUS word with her regarding her behaviour towards Rudi and his family."

Jewel scowled at her father and breathed a huffed. Then the group entered the Meeting Tree's Main Meeting Room. Once the group was in and had sat around an elevated root which was used as a conference desk by the leaders whenever they gathered here and some snacks served to them by some of Augustus' assistants including the silver bat-bird, Eduardo and Augustus opened up the meeting with the latter starting.

"Unfortunately, Felipe has other matters to deal with so I'm afraid he is not here and you'll have to deal with us two. As you lot will know, things have NOT been going on well between you and Rudi's family and clan," said the patriarch of the flying fox clan, the overall mixed-species tribe and Orion's father, "In fact, we have been having frequent intrusions from that flock of glaucous macaws in our territories and unprovoked attacks on some of the inhabitants."

"The glaucous macaw flock living with you are facing serious trouble because of them, aren't they?" asked Ruby.

"They are," said Augustus sadly, "Any glaucous macaw from the clan living with us visiting the Spix and red macaw tribes' territories are frequently mistaken for intruders from Rudi's troubled clan."

"We have had that several times," said Eduardo in agreement, "And as a result, trust issues are arising between us and the members of Rodrigo and Ceu's clan."

"So we have strictly ordered ALL glaucous macaws of Rodrigo and Ceu's clan to stay within the boundaries of our tribe's grove," said Augustus, before his one-eyed gaze found Antares, Sirius and their families, "Though you guys are an exception, which brings us to the main reason why we have called you here."

"And what's that?" asked Ferdinand. Eduardo inhaled.

"We would like you guys to depart for your other place in Rio early," said he. When he saw stunned reactions on the faces of the group especially Blu, he continued. "Please don't think we are exiling you, we are NOT. The reason why we are suggesting it is because it is for the safety of yourselves and for your children."

"Yes, especially your younger members," said Augustus, his eye gazing at five certain young Spix macaws sitting near Blu, Jewel, Roberto and Brisa and also two small chocolate brown furred bats in Ahsoka and Acerola's wings: his two new grandsons. Ganymede and Gordie, together with Neptune, Arrokoth and Chrysocolla and Finnick sand Lavendulan, gazed at the flying fox patriarch slightly sadly. Augustus continued.

"You see, those glaucous macaws from Rudi's clan are out causing trouble," said he, "And they have been increasing their intrusion frequencies for the past few days and from what we have been hearing, YOU seven families have been frequent targets, especially you, Blu," he gazed at the worried brown-eyed Spix macaw as he gazed at his three new chicks.

"It is because we have been mixing with humans, isn't it?" Blu replied, "And knowing Rudi to be an OUTRIGHT human hater..."

"You could well be on the top of my brother's hit list, Blu," said Antares, before his gaze turned to his mate and her brother, "Together with Sirius and Bellatrix and also Aurora and Ahsoka. The five of you have had been living with humans for most of your lives."

"That could explain why Rudi's minions and chicks are possibly going after you and targeting you more than most of the other animals," said Augustus, "That is why we are STRONGLY advising you lot to Rio early. It will get you and your children, especially your newest additions, well away from Rudi and his minions and it will leave us with one less worry while we deal with that glaucous macaw and his minions for another."

"Yes," said Eduardo in agreement, "and their targeting of you lot has become more serious with Bia, Neptune and Trixie being the most recent."

"Katrina's attempted murder of Bia was COMPLETELY crossing the line, I can tell you," said Samara.

"And reasoning with Rudi and Tremaine isn't gonna work," said Ferdinand, before his gaze rested on his scarlet mate as she rubbed her scratched cheek. The claw marks had scabbed over now but they were still painful. "After all, Ruby, Samara, Antares and Jewel tried just that and look at the BIG mess that has resulted."

"Yes, it sure has opened up a lake of writhing electric eels," said Antares. Augustus and Eduardo nodded in agreement. Then the latter's gaze rested on Ganymede and Gordie as they snuggled in their mother and sister's wings.

"Raul has been discussing with me, Mimi and Roberto about those two, Ahsoka and Orion," said the Spix tribe patriarch, before his face turned serious, "Believe me, we have been worried for Ganymede and Gordie and that they might be potential targets for Millie, Tillie and their wicked gang and I'm sorry to say, flying foxes, my worries have been confirmed."

The flying foxes winced with Sandalwood nearly choking on his mango. Then the winged mammals shot Eduardo a disbelieving gaze.

"Are you meaning to say that our two newest sons are DEFINITELY potential targets for Rudi and Tremaine's violent chicks?" asked Orion.

"Why do you think we forbade them from going off on their own without adult flying fox or bird supervision?" asked Augustus.

"According to Raul when he told us, Millie and Tillie suggested that your twins be given a piece of their mind if they get the chance," said Eduardo, "And that confirms that those two are on the hit list of those wicked offspring of Rudi and Tremaine..."

"I will NOT have those BRUTISH GLAUCOUS BRATS lay a SINGLE CLAW on OUR TWO SONS!" snapped Ahsoka outraged.

"Ganymede and Gordie will NOT be able to stand a chance against a gang of birds armed with razor-sharp beaks and cat-like talons," added Sandalwood.

"Yes, their defence weapons, that is their foot claws, wing thumb claws and teeth are not developed enough for them to defend themselves," said Acerola as she hugged a shivering Gordie.

"The last thing we want is our two little brothers facing the wrath of those savage monsters of glaucous macaws," put in Hermione as she comforted a frightened Ganymede in Ahsoka's wings.

"Once again, Rudi and Tremaine's offspring are extremely violent and ruthless, including the two chicks from Rudi's first pairing with Valieria, Millie and Tillie," said Antares, "And still, we hate to think how they became such savage macaws, disturbingly that age as well."

"Raul was lucky enough to come away with only a nasty scratch down his side," said Samara, "but that hyacinth macaw Arándana suffered an injury to the face so bad that she had to go to the animal hospital for more advanced human help."

"I once tried to confront Tremaine when Acerola and Hermione were targeted by some of her chicks at the border of our mixed-species tribe's territory to their clan's while Ahsoka was still pregnant with Ganymede and Gordie and not far from giving birth to them," said Orion, "but Tremaine only severely insulted me and said something incredibly disturbing about Ahsoka because of her background of being a human-raised foster bat."

"Tremaine is one of the more problematic macaws," said Antares, "In fact, she is one of the worst glaucous macaws who sports a CUASTIC rancour for ANY animal that has ties with humans like Rudi does."

"Regardless of their association with them," said Samara, "Be it raised with love like Ahsoka, Blu, Sirius, Bellatrix and Aurora; abused like Roberto and Ruby, or from a forest near a human's place like Ferdinand from Rio despite having VERY little association with humans."

"As a chick I was NEVER allowed to venture into Rio by my elders," said Ferdinand, "Not only because it was a human's place but because there were dangerous city animals like city cats living in the city. We only EVER had limited contact with humans, especially nature studiers. My uncle who found Ahsoka as a pup following a smuggler incident managed to hand Ahsoka to a group of bat studiers so that she could be raised as he felt that a flying fox among a clan of macaws was not appropriate."

Ahsoka just gazed at the blue-and-gold macaw as Ruby, Opal and Sheldon gazed at him.

"Were you, Tremaine and Aunt Samara friends when you were little and when your flock was a single one, Uncle Antares?" asked Sheldon.

"No we weren't, in fact never," said Antares, "Even as a chick, Tremaine was a bad-tempered macaw."

"We and some other glaucous macaws including Ceu and Rodrigo never got along with that macaw at all," said Samara, "In fact her and her entire family was rotten."

"And since Rudi took Tremaine as his mate to take Valeria's place following the fire," said Antares, "Rudi as become a LOT worse."

"Could it be the loss of Valeria to the most recent fire that has intensified his hatred of humans?" asked Ruby.

"Such that he has taken to raising his children to be not only be incredibly anti human and anti um... 'mud-pet' like us," said Sirius, Blu flashing the glaucous macaw an offended look, "but violent towards them as well?"

"That's a possibility," said Augustus, before the one-eyed and scarred flying fox's face and ears fell. "We could be going down the path to war, which, ostensibly, is what Rudi wants, especially against ANY animal that has ANY ties with humans and because we have allowed humans into our territories to help deal with those pesky loggers and poachers..."

"Well, if that is the case," said Eduardo, "Then we HAVE to keep an eye on any suspicious activity of that glaucous macaw clan and get prepared to take action wherever necessary."

"Um, speaking of that, Eduardo," said Augustus, "We have been sending flying fox and pterobat night patrollers into Rudi's clan's territory to do just that and the reports they have brought back to us have not been good. According to them, Rudi and his clan have been inviting animals that live outside the sanctuary to live on his territory, and some of those outsiders, among them macaws, seemed suspicious. We cannot say why but I have ordered our patrollers to be on the alert."

"We'll make examining our territories' borders to theirs a priority then," said Eduardo, "Thanks for bringing that up, Augustus."

"Then make sure that you make that a regular thing," said Augustus, "And Felipe will need to do the same as well," a look of dread then formed on the flying fox's one-eyed gaze, "I have a bad feeling about this."

Blu and company gazed at the mixed-species tribe patriarch as he and Eduardo then turned back to them.

"So, back to the main subject," said Augustus, "We would like you lot to go to Rio early and as soon as you for your safety, just until we get this problem sorted out with Rudi and his clan."

"And you'll need to make it snappy as well," said Eduardo, "The second wave of the storm's not too far off and if you set off in the middle of the storm, it may not be good for you."

"We'll go back to our ravine and pack up," said Blu and with that, he commanded his kids to prepare to fly back to the Spix macaw's ravine. Jewel was about to follow but Eduardo barked at her to stay behind so that he can have his word with her. Jewel reluctantly and sourly did so. Then Roberto stood up.

"I'm gonna come with you," he said, "Me and my family."

"But Roberto, you DESPISE human places," said Aurora as Zephyr commanded Justin, Charlotte, Matilda, Virgil and Eustace to prepare for the return trip back to the ravine.

"Yes, you had a horrific time as a pet in Rio under the ownership of an abusive owner," put in Sirius.

"It is true I have had a horrific time as an abused pet," said Roberto, "But I would like to go to Rio to meet some of your friends, among them the daughter of the city dog who set me free and also the Lear's macaw family and these fruithawks and owls in addition," his gaze then turned to Lavendulan and Finnick, "And also to get my family away from Rudi and his minions and chicks since these two are, after all, the offspring of a pair of macaws who have also had ties with humans: me with that abusive owner and Brisa with humans in general. Not to mention myself and Brisa also being targets for bullying from some of that glaucous macaw's minions. To add, I wanna escape that horrid Myrtle as she is out for revenge against me for rejecting her for Brisa and also ruining her face when she savagely attacked Brisa and almost killed her..."

As he spoke, Eduardo took Jewel aside to have the word with her.

"Do you think she and her daughter Aguamarina have joined Rudi's flock?" asked Aurora. Roberto, a look of dread on his face, nodded.

"Myrtle hasn't changed since she tried to kill me to have you," said Brisa bitterly as she took Finnick and Lavendulan to the hollow entrance, "And to add, Aguamarina may spiral into becoming a violent Spix macaw. Raul had been UTTERLY lucky that he did not suffer any attacks from her but as time goes by, that may be different."

"I hope he has broken up with her," said Orion as he took his family to the hollow, "Not trying to be mean or nasty or anything but Aguamarina could have a bad influence on that young Spix macaw."

"Especially if they are going to join those violent glaucous macaws and their gangs," said Sirius as he, Samara, Tristan, Quincy and Sapphire joined them with Antares, Bellatrix, Levi, Aiden and Phoebe. The glaucous macaw families were planning on going to the mixed-species tribe's home grove to collect Trixie before returning to the Spix tribe's ravine. The others nodded in agreement. Then Blu came in.

"Are Alvin, Isabella, Pietro and Wanda and their families gonna come with us?" asked he.

"No, they would like to stay behind," said Sirius, "Before we left for here, Dad (Alvin) told us that he and Isabella do NOT want to relive the bad memories of that poacher incident that tore me and Bellatrix from them back in Rio and they do NOT want to return to Tijuca Forest for the rest of their lives."

"And besides that, Pietro and Wanda and their mates are undergoing training to take over Rodrigo and Ceu as leaders of the glaucous macaw clan once they retire or in the event that Rodrigo becomes too injured or dies," said Bellatrix, "Since Ceu would NOT be able to lead the clan on her own. Additionally, they have urged us to go to Rio to get away from Rudi and his minions due to our human-raised background and because you caused the split in the glaucous macaw clan into the two divisions it is now..."

"They're on the same perch as Augustus and Eduardo then," said Orion as he nodded to Eduardo as he continued to seriously talk to Jewel, especially about injuring Katrina, Jewel retorting once again that Katrina had been vile to her daughter Bia and had joked about it. Sirius and Bellatrix gazed at the father and daughter before resuming their preparation for the trip to their tribe to collect Trixie and subsequent return to the Spix tribe's ravine.

Then once the group was ready, they left the Meeting Tree and returned to the Spix tribe's ravine. Sirius and Bellatrix's families, however, had left to collect Trixie from Falkor's infirmary and then bring to the Spix tribe's ravine. Blu, Roberto, Aurora, Sirius, Bellatrix, Orion and Ferdinand's families had decided to stay in the Spix tribe's ravine until their departure to Rio as advised by Eduardo and Augustus and when the second wave of the storm was not severe such that flying conditions were unsafe.
