Sorry, it's been so long, but I've been busy with my own life. Exams, job hunt, book, SEQUEL TO HTTYD! I loved that movie, even though it put me on an emotional rollar coaster. I will try to get back up to speed. For now, a little look at what was going on while Ema was doing her thing. Enjoy. (This is a fast run through of what happened in the last few chapters)
North was working on his latest toy idea, a toy roller coaster, when suddenly a yeti burst into the room. North was about to scold the yeti when the yeti said in its language that the man in the moon had arrived. North had wondered what brought the man and the moon this time around. He had a hunch; he just hoped he was wrong.
All the Yeti's and elves had gathered in the globe room. There was the moon, shining through the window. North asked the Man in the moon what brought him to the pole. The guardians had to be called. There was important information that had to be shared amongst all of them, and it had to remain as much of a secret as possible.
So, North then called the guardians. Preparations for company were made by the elves, the yeti's continued to work on the toys, meanwhile North was searching all over the pole for any sign that someone else might be there. His hunch from before was probably who they were keeping the secret from, but he still hoped he was wrong.
He didn't get to search the entire place, because before he was done, all the guardians had shown up. He greeted them and offered them refreshments, and then he went to go shut almost every single window and door in the pole. The only thing that remained open was the window the moon shone in.
The guardians wondered what was going on, especially Jack. It was his first big Guardian thing ever since what had happened 25 years ago, he would be one to wonder who they were up against. North told them the man in the moon had to relay them a message, and it had to be super secret.
Once North was sure no one could get in unnoticed, the man in the moon relayed his message. It was time for a new guardian to be chosen, why? That would be explained later. He shone a beam of moonlight on the guardian choosing crystal. It opened up, rising, and changing the refracted light to look like someone.
The guardians all wondered who it would be. Bunny did not want it to be the groundhog as usual, while others were discussing the leprechaun or the demons of Halloween. Jack was okay with whoever it was going to be, as long as it wasn't cupid. Cupid had a creepy crush on Jack.
The figure turned out to beā¦Ema Fay. After a minute of the shock setting in, the crystal stopped glowing and descended into the floor. Bunny jaw was on the floor. "Not another one of those troublemakers."
"Hey, Jack turned out pretty well," retorted Tooth. Meanwhile, Jack was ecstatic. His best friend was a guardian! She did say she had a soft spot for kids. She might not react well though, he was not so thrilled about it at first either, but still, his best friend was going to join him on the team!
"I can't believe it! Ema Fay is coming to join us on the team! It would be so great having her around! Now we can spend more time together, just like the old days."
"Jack, keep voice low," North cautioned. His cautioning was reasonable. Outside they heard a whinny, a nightmare whinny. Jack flew out the window and saw the nightmare speeding away. It was too far for him to catch it. Pitch was spying on them! Not only that, but he just basically was one to say aloud that his best friend Ema Fay was joining the team, and they barely spend time together anymore! He just gave Pitch the perfect revenge on all the guardians, mostly him.
"I can't believe I just betrayed my best friend to the boogeyman!" Baby Tooth looked at him funny. "Sorry, I can't believe I just betrayed another one of my best friends to the boogeyman, again!"
"Pitch must find you very convenient," said North. Jack groaned, knowing that he doomed his friend. Manny wasn't done though. He told them what he was going to tell them, that Pitch had returned to power and Ema MUST join the guardians, after that he left.
"He should have told us that before I blurted out who was joining the team."
"Jack, you didn't know," said Tooth.
"I should have though, I should have been careful in what I said."
"Then waste no time, we must prepare for her arrival and bring her here at once," declared North. "Now we talk plan of action."
Jack explained how Ema was highly claustrophobic, so they couldn't bring her in the old fashion way. Also, he said to North not to leave sweets out or she'll go crazy hyper. They all decided that it should be Jack to bring her in, for she trusted him the most.
Jack hoped he would make it in time, and he did, but when he saw her return, she looked so happy to be back that he didn't want to ruin her day. He decided on a new plan, he would let her enjoy her first day back, and then he would take her to the pole that night. He told Jamie of what was going on and to keep a careful watch on Kayla. When the night happened, she was just so sad, and a little angry. She said she needed time to calm down, so a new plan formed in his head. Leave her alone for a little bit, not long enough for her to be attacked, just long enough for her to calm down, and then he'd take her to the pole. He just lost track of time.
He was shocked when he saw her getting cornered by a nightmare, he was pretty sure she could defend herself if that happened; that was another reason he left her alone. Nice job messing it up again, Jack. He was even more shocked to learn that she had already encountered Pitch himself. 'Stupid, Stupid, Stupid', he kept thinking to himself. He had to take her to the pole at that instant, but they were going to have a little fun while doing it.
Telling Ema she was a guardian was hard, what he wasn't going to tell her was it was his fault she was in this mess. After her reaction he felt even guiltier because it was his fault she was in this mess. It especially stung when she shouted SOME FRIEND YOU ARE! How was he ever going get out of this one?
Pitch was glad that he was finally back to power, but something troubled him. There might be someone new to stop him just like all those other times. He knew the man in the moon was going to choose someone new, and he needed to find out who that was. He sent a nightmare to spy, when the nightmare returned, it told him everything that had happened, of how the guardians wanted the new guardian to be secret, and exactly what Jack blurted out.
Pitch laughed, now he had more than enough tools for revenge, and it was all thanks to Jack. He went to the netherworld to talk to the demons on what they knew about Ema. She was a lot like him, it seems. Very powerful and lives in a tree in Berwick. This was just getting better for him; the demons were her friends too. She's going to have a hard time trusting people after this, which he was very much okay with. He then went off to Berwick to confront her before the guardians could.
He was trying to see where her loyalties lied. Of course, it was to Jack. Predictable; now he was going to have to scare her into changing her loyalties. He was either going to destroy her or make her change her mind. Either one would be very easy.
NNOOOOO! Why do I do this to you? It's fun. MWHAHAHAHA! That's fun too. Tell me what you think in reveiws, hopefully I'll post the next chapter this month. Toodles.
