Happy Summer everyone, I'm sorry I couldn't write more, but I was busy with a 21 page third part to a final project in school. I am hoping to catch up with my writing before the month ends. For now, I have caught up with my Imagine fan fiction. It's mostly talking, but it's a little funny. So enjoy, but a quick note being that:
I do not own Rise of the Guardians, the only things I do own are not apart of the movie whatsoever, besides mention of the leprechaun.
I sat there in my illusion rain crying for a while, and then I felt a cold wind.
"Go away, Jack," I said through tears. "I don't want you to see me like this."
"Well, this really isn't anything new. I remember seeing you like this a couple days ago, upset that Kayla didn't know who you were."
"Was it really only a couple days," I said glancing over at him. "It feels like we've been on this search forever."
"I know," chuckled Jack. "We're actually spending some time together." I gave a small laugh, and then returned to sitting in sorrow. Jack came and sat beside me.
"Look, Ema, I'm here to talk to you as a friend, you can just…tell me…everything that's going on. I'll be here for you." I felt a tiny prick of pain in my head.
"Ow," I said quietly as I held my head.
'Sorry,' said a little voice. 'I thought I found the grain.' I let out a yawn.
'Keep working on it,' I thought. Jack noticed my yawn.
"Are you alright?"
"I'm fine," I lied.
"You yawned; you don't yawn."
"Can we just forget about it? It's probably nothing." I yawned again.
"Ema, this is serious. You don't get tired, maybe we should see the Sandman; maybe he'll know what's going on with you." I yawned again. I mentally scolded myself.
"I'm not sleepy Jack! I'm probably just groggy from when I was in stasis; it's a lot like sleep." I almost yawned again, but I stopped myself.
"Ema, maybe you should tell me what's going on. I'm your friend, you can tell me."
"What do you want to know?" I asked in mixed tones.
"First, why you were so upset with the groundhog?" I sighed.
"Why's my life a huge mess, Jack?" He looked at me confused. "You know my life story, I wake up with no memory of who I am and then find out I'm invisible. I go around the world searching for someone who can see me, and find these beings like me who are happy while I'm not. I pull pranks to make myself feel better, but it's never enough. Not a lot of people like me, they all think I'm a troublemaker. I have you as a friend, but we don't spend enough time together and I always feel less than you. I find out I have memories, and I'm on an endless goose chase to find them. On top of all that, I'm being hunted by a maniac. It's like fate is one of the many people who don't like me."
"Things will look up. You will get your memories back, and we will stop Pitch."
"Can you tell me why he is obsessed with hunting me down?"
"I've said this many times, but I think it's because you're the guardian the man in the moon chose this time."
"Then tell him I don't want to be a guardian and maybe he'll stop hunting me." 'Maybe,' I thought.
"I don't think it's that easy. The man in the moon really wants you to be a guardian, and after me, I don't think Pitch will let the next guardian rise to the challenge of stopping him."
"I don't care what the man in the moon really wants. If being the future guardian gets me all these problems, it's something I don't want. Why is the man in the moon so obsessed over me, anyway?"
"I don't know, maybe you represent something strong in childhood. You are a giant kid."
"Hey," I half snapped, half chuckled.
"You also have amazing powers that could be a great asset in the fight with Pitch and protecting kids in general. I mean you're powers are amazing, you can wield any weapon, create anything, make people see things …shapeshift..."
"What is it Jack?" Jack was slowing down what he was saying, and I wanted to know why.
"I just realized, you and Pitch have a lot in common."
"No we don't," I quickly. The rain disappeared, for my sorrow was replaced with panic.
"Well, you both can make people see things, and pitch has been known to shapeshift in the past…"
"I am not like pitch! I'm an archer! Is he an archer?!" I turned back to normal.
"Yes…" He said hesitantly. "He is also known to lie."
"Well, I'm a good liar, he's an evil liar. I do it for fun; he does it to manipulate people!"
"You do it to manipulate people," Jack said matter-of-factly.
"For fun!"
"I guess it makes sense now," said Jack. "He went after me because I was the one who could stop him at the time. He's obsessed with hunting you down because you're like a female version of him."
"LALALALALA I CAN'T HEAR YOU, I'M NOT LISTENING! LALALALA!" I shouted covering my ears, getting up and walking away from him.
"EMA!" Jack shouted. I still continued blocking him out. "I'M SORRY!" I stopped blocking him out.
"I know you're not him, but you have to admit, you do-"
"DON'T SAY IT!" I pointed at him.
"Nothing." There was an awkward silence. "Let's just go see the demons of Halloween. Get your memories back."
"If they even have them," I said with a disgusted tone. I still didn't forgive them with what told Pitch. That's when I remembered Pitch had visited them. What if they gave Pitch my memories!?
If he did have them all this time though, why didn't he gloat about it?
"If they don't have them, at least they'll know where they are."
"What if they don't? What if they lost them a long time ago and they don't know where they are? What if they gave them to Pitch!?" Jack looked shocked. I started to turn translucent and a little red. "When Pitch confronted me the first time he told me he had visited them to up his scariness factor. That's how he knew where to find me, because they gave him my location. Who knows what else they gave him that was mine?"
"Ema, calm down, we'll go talk to them about it. I doubt Pitch has your memories, because if he did he would gloat about it." I turned back to normal.
You have a point, but it's hard to imagine the demons helping me. They would want to, but it's hard for them. Their hearts are in the right place, but their heads aren't." I demonstrated by removing my head from my neck and then putting it back.
"Lead the way, Ema," said Jack. So, we took off and started to head to the Demons place.
Next chapter will have the demons, and hilarity will ensue. We will find out about Ema's memories and a little bit more on Ema herself. For now, tell me what you think of the chapter, the story, or anything I should know about. R&R
