Here is another chapter of Imagine. I hope this chapter is longer. Anyway, it still gives you more of an inside look at the demons. This chapter also shows what Ema can be capable of? So, I hope you enjoy!
Luckily only a few miles where we came in, in a wide open field space near the Cliffside facing the ocean, we came across a large crowd of demons; I'm guessing around three hundred. Jack got wide eyed at the sight.
"That's a lot of demons," said Jack amazed.
"Well," I said nervously for I don't know what reason, "there are many, many different types of monsters in the world, and these guys represent all of them."
"Hey everyone!" cried Goblin. "Ema's here!" The entire crowd turned and saw me and Jack at the top of the hill, where we nervously waved. They let out a huge uproar of a cheer. They started doing flips, throwing each other around, and waving their arms around wildly, while some did repetitive fist pumps in the air. These guys loved me. Ghost continued the rally by flying over the crowd.
"Everyone, give me an E!" cried Ghost.
"E!" cried everyone.
"Give me an M!"
"M!"
"Give me an A!"
"A!"
"What's that spell!?"
"EMA FAY!" Well, close enough. Did I mention they're stupid?
"We can't hear you!"
"EMA!" They cried louder. They were crazy little buggers. Just then, a bat flew towards us, appearing in front of us as a Vampire.
"Ema, it's so great to see you again," he said in his Transylvanian accent.
"Is this their leader?" asked Jack.
"He is this year," I explained. "Since there are so many demons, and they're all so equally terrifying, they all take turns being the leader so it will be fair."
"That's right, and this year it's me," Vampire said giddily. "Ema, who's your friend?"
"This is Jack Frost," I introduced.
"Hey," Jack said coolly. Vampire didn't look impressed.
"He's not much." Just then Vampire got a crazy idea. "How about you give us a rousing round of what you can do? We'd all just love that, right everybody?" Everyone cheered once more. "Of course, your friend can take a crack at it as well, and we'll just see what he can do; see if he can handle it here."
"But guys, we really have something we need to talk to you about," I urged.
"Oh, we can talk after your brief demonstration," said Vampire pushing Jack and I to the stage they had obviously set up. "We have something we want to talk to you about too."
"Let me guess," I said dully. "Halloween plans." The demons take Halloween as a big deal.
"Wow Ema, you're really good at this." It's not like they wanted to talk to me about anything else. Suddenly we pushed onto the stage, in front of all the demons.
"Ema," said Jack. "What are we supposed to do?"
"I'll go first," I assured him. "Just watch me." I stepped to the front of the stage. I stood there quietly for about a minute, while all the demons watched with anticipation, not even making a sound. Then, out of nowhere, I expanded my head, bugged out my eyes, wagged around my tongue, and made my hands into claws, all in a brief second. After which I reverted back to normal. All the demons cheered and whooped, jumping up and down, banging their heads together, and doing everything they did before.
"EMA!" most of them cried, while others cried, "We love you Ema!" The werewolf jumped on the stage and hugged my leg, crying out, "Marry me, Ema!" Me, being disgusted by romance and knowing these were just silly kiddy thoughts, bluntly replied "Uh, no," and kicked him back into the crowd.
"Yes, yes, that was very amazing Ema, as always, you never fail to impress," said Vampire. "Now, how about your friend, show us what he can do." He pushed Jack to the front of the stage while I stepped to the sidelines. "Everyone, Jack Frost." Everyone stared at Jack, wondering what he would do. Jack hesitated, while I was on the balls of my feet. Jack pulled on his face and wagged his tongue, trying to imitate me no bet. Everyone booed and started throwing whatever they could find at Jack, including rotten produce, twigs, mud, and even body parts.
It was just sad; I had to help out my friend. I tilted my head and whacked my ear like I had water log and out popped mini-me, out of my ear and onto my shoulder.
"I thought you gave me a job to do," complained Mini-me.
"I know, but he needs more help right now," I said picking her up. "I need you to pretend to be me, just say everything I say." I threw her to Jack's shoulder. "Oh, and don't tell Jack you talk to me on occasion." As Mini-me landed on his shoulder; Jack looked to his left and was shocked.
"Ema, what are you doing on my shoulder?"
"Yes, I am Ema and not an illusion that talks to her on occasion." I smacked my palm to my forehead. Man, she was a bad liar.
'Just say what I say!' I screamed internally. 'Listen Jack, just leave everything to me, I will save you from this utter humiliation." Mini-me repeated me.
"Can the demons even see you?" asked Jack.
'No, I made it so only you can see me; as for that me in the sidelines, that is just an illusion, pretty clever huh?" Mini-me repeated me, and just like the first time, she sounded like she was reading lines.
"I guess, now can you help me out?" I started playing with what everyone saw like a harp. I made Jack's skin blue, and made his eyes bloodshot. I turned his teeth into fangs and his nails into claws. Jack started to notice what was happening and was amazed.
'Tell Jack to act natural,' I said internally. Luckily, Mini-me didn't repeat everything I said and did as I told her. I made his feet jagged and same with his staff. I made his hair all pointy like it was ice. The demons ooed and awed over what Jack was becoming, unaware that I doing everything.
"Tell Jack to make frost and send it over the demons feet." Mini-me did as she was told. Jack banged his staff on the ground, sending his frost over the demons feet.
"Now tell him to make some ice."
"Make some ice," said Mini-me.
"What type of ice?" asked Jack.
"Any type of ice."
"Any type of ice." Jack waved his staff through the air, creating a sheet of ice sticking up in the air. With my illusions, I slowly morphed that ice into an ice monster, clawing down on the demons and roaring at them. When the demons started clapping, I made all my illusions disappear, including Mini-me who went back to trying to find the sand grain.
Vampire came up to us again, clapping as well.
"While not as good as you, Ema, it was still impressive for a first time." Joke's on them, for it was all me. They were probably just bias; of course, maybe it wouldn't have hurt to add in a tidal wave of jagged ice, that would crush and tear them apart, but I digress.
"Now Ema," said Vampire. "You wanted to have a discussion with us, follow me." As Jack and I followed him, Jack said something that made me think.
"It's scary what you can be capable of." It was true. I was scary. Was that why Pitch was so interested in me? Was I as bad as him?
So how was that? It's just a bit of filler really, but I hope it's good. Tell me in your reviews what you think.
