Time for action! It's about time I kick start this climax. First, deal with the encroaching threat to our heroes, then they can kick butt. How do they do this, read and find out!

I couldn't help but grin, and keep grinning after I said that line. That smile was so bright I was glowing again. I glanced at Jack; he was grinning too. He must have realized what just happened. I hugged Kayla so tightly, and then I picked her up and spun her around, hugging her tightly again.

"Aw, thank you Kayla, thank you so much."

"I don't understand; what's this about?" I put her down.

"I found my center," I told her, whilst welling up.

"Huh, what, your center? That's good, right?" I stood up proudly.

"I know my source of power, the definition of my very being…I know myself, truly. What drives me; why the moon chose me, and thanks to that…I know I can beat him." I shot off like a shooting star into the sky, falling back on the roof behind me.

Imagination…why didn't I think of that before? It was so obvious! I scream creativity and imagination! People's imaginations act up around me! It's the very mythos surrounding me. How did I not see it? Well, Jack did say your center is not so obvious to you. You think it would be staring you in the face, in truth it's standing right beside. You know it's there, but you can't really get a good look at it unless you change your perspective.

I made it look to Pitch I was dashing off, but I knew he wouldn't leave the kids alone even if I had run away. So I summoned up a crane to lift them out of there, but not just any crane, a crane game! I maneuvered that claw, grasping the group behind the wall I made, and then dropping them down the chute conveniently beside me. They fell down a slide and onto the cushion behind me. A neon sign flashed in front of us: WINNER! I did a little happy dance, because I had just won the coolest of prizes.

"So what's the plan?" asked Jack getting himself and the kids to their feet.

"The plan is to fix Halloween," I said. "Since the demons aren't here, we have to do it ourselves."

"How are we going to do that?" asked the elf warrior, probably ready to fight something.

"Things are a little too frightening at the moment," said the doctor. "How do we make them not scary?"

"Easy, find something scary and make it not scary anymore," I said.

"It sounds so easy when you say it like that, but we're just kids," said Kayla.

"Kids can do a lot," I said. "They and be and do anything they wish; thus the nature of this holiday." I pulled out my weapons, the dagger, arrow, and whip handle and transformed into paint brushes. "You look that scary thing in the eye, and you say 'You're not scary, here's what you actually are!' Normally, it's just because it's fake, but tonight I'm lending you my power to turn them into something else." I handed them each a paint brush, "Use your good imagination, to drive away the bad kind."

"You can do that?" asked Jack. "Lending your powers out like this?"

"Hey, with imagination you can do anything." I took a look back at my wall. Pitch's nightmares were wearing away at it and soon they would break through.

"For starters," I said. "I sending you guys to different places in town, spread yourselves out, cover more ground. You guys work on eating away the nightmares while I take on its king."

"What about me?" said Jack, as I began kicking up gigantic invisible slides.

"You make sure these guys can handle themselves…and then come and help me. Sure the power of belief as well as my power is pretty powerful, but they only have the one brush, and you need to know how to use such powers before you can be trusted to handle yourself."

The nightmares were poking their heads through the wall.

"Get going, one kid per slide!" I through daggers at the ground to indicate where each slide had its starting point and stairs grew so the kids could reach them.

"Ema," said Kayla.

"Just go, now!" I picked her up and pushed her down the slide. "I believe in you," I called after her, and then turned to the two remaining, "All of you." The power of belief is strong and these kids need it just as much as I do. As Kayla went, she swayed back and forth down the invisible slide, sometimes doing loop-de-loops. Seeing this, the doctor and the elf didn't hesitate. They nodded to each other, and then each picked a remaining slide and went off.

"Be careful and good luck," said Jack. "I'll see you soon!" He then flew off after Kayla, probably because she was the first to leave and would be the first to land. After everyone had left, I knew Pitch would go after them if he saw them leave. I had to distract him.

My wall dissolved, and I saw Pitch scowling on those who had left. He had sent nightmares to chase after them. I jumped down right near him.

"Heya buddy," I said. This startled him. I jumped back a little, turning into him.

"Look at me, I'm Pitch Black: the boogeyman. I'm such a loser, there's no way I can beat the guardians. I'm so desperate, Ema please love me!" That did it. He scowled and threw his javelin at me. I ducked expertly out of the way, did a twirl, turning back into myself, and then I made a funny face at him. I laughed. His nightmares lunged at me, but I zoomed up to the rooftops.

"Come and get me, if you dare!" I said with a Cheshire grin. I laughed maniacally as I zoomed off.

As I looked behind, I could see that my baiting of Pitch worked. He was coming after me. It was so obvious though, I can't believe he fell for it. Then again, he sent his nightmares after the kids, and they are just kids. He's seriously underestimating them.

I dodged this way and that, trying to lead them as far away from everyone else as possible, avoiding blows from him as much as I could, spurring him to keep following me. Once we were far enough away, I skidded to a stop and faced him. I pulled out my sword, "Engarde, you ruffian."

Pitch stopped, and turned behind him. "You were leading me away." He turned back towards me. "Do you have no faith in them? Do you believe I might hurt them?"

"You're wrong. I have complete faith in them. I actually regret that I'm not going to be able to witness them awesomely take down all your nightmares and turn this Halloween into a night to smile upon. I just brought you here because I believe me vs you is a private affair, if anyone is going to see me beat you, I only want them to see the winning moments."

I didn't turn white. I guess to bypass the tell, I just have to tell some truths. I did believe in them, but I also believed he could still hurt them. Also, could I win? Well…I might be able to hold out for a while, but I can't win on my own.

"So Boogeyman," I said with a vicious grin. "Let's do this."

Wow, Ema could be a good villain, luckily she's on the side of good. Unfortunately I'm no good at writing fight scenes. I'll get back with hopefully a good enough version. Until then, stay tuned!
