Harry groaned as he came to. The ground beneath him was soft and comfortable, the air brushing against his skin was warm and cozy. His head was pounding, and his eyes were burning. The memories of the weird plane, of Lily were still there, even if he sort of hoped they weren't. He was thrust once again into a fight he knew nothing about. He wanted to be angry. He wanted to rage and scream at the unfairness. But honestly? He had been doing that for hours now, and he was just tired.

Before he could continue to wallow in self-misery, a resounding boom reached his ears, making him jerk to a sitting position and look around wildly. His surroundings didn't match with the sounds of fighting and yelling. He was standing on what seemed like a green island, surrounded by water. The air felt very warm and welcoming, the same feeling he remembered when he got his first Weasley sweater. It all seemed so… peaceful.

Next to him, was a small pond. Inside were two fishes swimming together in harmony, one completely white with a black spot, and the other completely black with a white spot. He stared at them for a few seconds, and just as he was about to turn away, his eyes, which had finally started to return to normal, started to burn again. But this time it was ferocious and quick, a pain, that while only lasted a few seconds, felt as if it had for hours. When he blinked again, he had to rub his eyes to make sure he was seeing things right. The fishes, which before had seemed so ordinary, now had a double image… sort of. While he was seeing a fish, at the same time, he could see the moon, the grandness of the moon, water resonated around him, swishing and swirling in an orderly fashion, his senses blinded by the blind light. He could feel a gentle caress, a constant movement, that never seemed to stop all around him. It was too much. And then he blinked, and the moment was over.

What the actual fu—Harry thought, before Lily's words came back to mind. I will give you my eyes to recognize spirits, else there is no chance for a mortal like you to ever succeed. Okkkkk, so he had magic eyes now. Cool, cool, cool, cool. Whatever, not mind breaking at all. At least he found the Moon Spirit with relative ease. He assumed the other fish was a spirit, but honestly? He didn't want to experience that again, so he'll wait a bit to find out. The only thing he knows is that he must protect the Moon Spirit from an evil man. Very vague, and yet very much in character with his life so far. Harry sighted, before standing up and looking around. Lily had told him almost nothing about the older man, was he level Voldemort magic, or level Malfoy magic enemies?

He tried to ignore the hum of worry and anxiety at the back of his mind. He tried to ignore the fact that maybe he wouldn't come home. To ignore the fact that Sirius was dead. He just wanted to go home, why should he protect some random spirit? Why couldn't it protect itself? But then again, was he comfortable letting someone die? Not just any someone, someone who represented the moon. To leave them to die, just because he wanted to go home would not make hum any better than the death eaters.

He was startled by a small squeak, turning his head to look at a little white animal, that was now snarling at him. He blinked for a second, drawing his wand and casting Immobulus, as it lunged at him. He carefully set it down, cast the stunning spell to make sure it stayed there. He'd never seen that kind of creature before. He shook his head, he had a job to do now. Harry looked at the pond for a few seconds, considering how to protect it. He was surrounded by water, and in the distance, he could faintly see a temple. The sky was open, and the full moon was looking at him, much brighter and stronger than he had ever felt it. A strong energy was coming from everywhere around him, it almost reminded him of Hogwarts, but something was a little bit wrong different. He drew his wand again, pointing it at the pond "Fumos!", grey smoke billowed in front of him, rising as it quickly covered the area. He was surprised to see the amount of smoke going out his wand, but quickly attributed it to the surrounding magic-thingy and instead focused on not thinking about Sirius. Great, plan already failed.

If only I could make the spirits invisible… he pondered as he looked at the fishes. Oh wait, he could. If he used the Disillusionment Charm. He considered the spirits in the pond, he was probably sure that he did not have the power to make spirits invisible, or near invisible, but … maybe he could ask. The double spirit vision was still very annoying, but it had dialled down, enough that he wasn't sucked in by their spiritual energy … or something. He was clueless here.

He slowly reached out and put his hand in the pool, waiting for a few seconds. When nothing happened, he sighted in relief. They were spirits, right? So maybe if he prayed to them? While this idea would not have come to him less than 5 hours ago, he was in another world with magic eyes. Might as well try. He slowly closed his eyes, concentrating on the spiritual power that he could now feel in front of him, hidden away behind his eyelids and thought. "My name is Harry Potter, I was sent here to protect the spirit of the moon, there's a … bad guy? He wants to kill you." Before he could continue, there was a raging roar, it was so loud, it felt like it was reaching into his soul.

The power of the ocean raged inside, outside him, it was everywhere until he could barely breathe. "You dare insinuate that I could not protect my kindred spirit!" it raged inside him, furious pride thrown at him. This was suuuuch a bad idea, though Harry as he clenched his teeth against the pain. It wasn't like Voldemort's crucio, the pain had been all over his body, is nerves lit on fire. But his spirit had stayed strong, not affected by the spell. But this? This was different. It hit his soul and his mind with a tsunami, never once reaching his nerves, but agony all the same.

Suddenly the pain stopped. He could have cried in relief. Harry was so tired. He felt like he'd been awake for years, he just wanted to curl up in his bed in Gryffindor Tower, with his friends at his side, safe and content with the knowledge that Sirius was safe. "He has been blessed by a fire spirit. A powerful one. No other mortal except the Avatar could reach us like he did. He has a good heart, La." A gentle voice brought him back to reality, so kind and hopeful. "We are vulnerable here, in the mortal realm, and without the help of the Avatar, I do not think we could defend ourselves. You know this." La was silent, as they listened to their kindred.

The moon spirit took that as a sign of agreement, and Harry could feel their attention on him once more. "What is it that is against us, little one?" "Uh, I think it's some sort of evil guy? Lily seemed pretty concerned, so she sent me here. I'm sorry I don't know much more than that." He fumbled with his words, apologizing immediately. He could feel the moon's kindness, as they continued to dance around La. When he said Lily, a burst of surprise came from both spirits, before the Ocean Spirit settled down a bit, in grudging acceptance. "Do you know Lily?" he asked, curious. Even if Harry was not over the fact that she had not saved Sirius, to be fair it hasn't even been a day, he could be grateful she had saved him. To help against Voldemort, it would be much better for him to be alive than dead.

"Lily is indeed a name she would use." Wondered La, "If she sent you, it is most likely mortal fire benders that are coming after my Tui. We will let you help, but know that if you fail, you will not escape my wrath." They warned before he felt them slip away from the weird mental connection. "Thank you for your help, little one. If you succeed, come to me, and I will help you get rid of your parasite. It is the least I can do for her chosen." Thanked Tui, slipping away with a last burst of comfort and gratefulness. Harry wanted to ask what they meant when they said parasite, but he was pretty sure he would not be able to contact them until the attack was over.

He slipped back to himself and opened his eyes. That was not fun. He NEVER wanted to do that again. Harry just wanted to go back home, all his thoughts for the last hours had been Sirius, his friends, Voldemort, and spirits. He felt a pang in his heart at the thought of his friends, but tried to ignore it and move on. It's not like he could stop the homesickness. He cast the disillusionment charm on the two fishes, feeling a small resistance, before they became invisible, perfectly blending in with the water. He was pretty sure the spell was not supposed to work like an invisibility cloak, but since they seemed to be aware of the spell and could have stopped it at any time, he concluded that they had helped perfect the spell on their own, and kept it up using the ambient spirit energy. You know what? He was not going to ask, and just take the gift.

He didn't know how long he had been talking with Tui and La, but the sound of fighting seemed to come nearer. The smokescreen was still working, somehow, but the pond was pretty obvious. Especially as it seemed that everything apart from the grassy centre was frozen. And the big gate behind. Yeah okay, everything here screamed magical spirits, come and kill me at your earliest convenience. He started tapping his foot, as stress started to mount, he wasn't Hermione, he didn't have a million spells at his convenience. He tried to think back to all the spells he knew. Maybe he could freeze everything over? OK but what could that do? He looked at the two bridges for a second, before deciding that sinking them would be the greatest option.

"Bombarda !" with a mighty explosion, the first bridge fell, and he quickly repeated the action for the second one. Harry smiled, satisfied with himself, before a whoosh of spiritual energy resonated behind him. "Momo! Wait, who are you?"

Harry whirled around, surprised to see a small kid, with weird loose clothing that seemed to be yellow and a bald head. He had a big arrow running on top of his head, and a very kind face. He was glowing a soft blue, and Harry could almost see the shadow of several people behind him. "Who are you?" he asked back, raising his wand at the stranger. "Why are you pointing a stick at me? Wait, where's my body?!" the kid fumbled, looking around, "Did you take my body?" he accused, pointing a finger at him.

"You normally have a body? You're not a spirit?" he asked, confused. He sure did look like a spirit to him. "What! No! I'm not a spirit, I'm the Ava—" before the kid could continue, he became a ball of blue light, and went up like a rocket, disappearing in the sky. Harry stared at the dark sky for a few seconds, before sighting and attributing this to another weird event of the never-ending day that was … this.

He waited for a few minutes, but nothing seemed to be happening. Maybe he should go help out the people out there? Oh wait, he literally just blew his way out of the oasis. Very smart move Potter, very smart. A resounding boom drew him away from his thoughts. Normally he would have ignored it, like all of the previous ones, but this one was close, he could see the smoke just beyond the bombed bridges. Hesitating, he decided that hiding for now was the much better idea. It's not like he could leave the oasis. He quickly disillusioned himself, hiding the small, still stunned animal behind a bush. Five seconds later, he could see a man in black and red clothing, his grey hair tied in a sort of weird knot, waltz in the oasis like he owned it, a small group behind him. Which maybe he did. Maybe it was a good guy and someone could help him protect the moon spirit?

Just as he thought it, the universe proved him wrong, the guy talked to the weird-looking faces behind him (Harry assumed they were guards) looked at the bombed bridges before launching himself with a burst of flames. This was probably the bad guy. He did have a giant smirk on his face, as he flew through the air. Man, they weren't kidding when they said fire benders. The man seemed to be perfectly controlling, and summoning flames, without a wand, or any kind of incantation. I really am in a different world, Harry pondered silently. He tensed as the fire benders made it to the oasis, narrowing his eyes in confusion at the smokescreen. Sadly, it seemed to be dissipating, and he couldn't recast it, as he was busy staying concentrated enough to stay semi-invisible.

The man walked around, cautious, but seemed to assume nobody was here to stop him. He walked, almost falling in the sacred pond. A smug expression overcame his face as he felt the water. Harry tensed as the man looked in a pond, a frown starting to make his way on his features, before pure fury crossed his face. "WHERE IS IT?!" he raged. Just as he was about to throw fire at the water, Harry knew he had to step in. Even if they were invisible, they would still be affected by the fire. As quiet as he could, he raised his wand, disillusioned himself, and whispered, "Stupefy!"

Unfortunately for Harry, the red light reflected in the water, and the man turned around at the last minute, quickly shooting a fireball at him. Harry swore and dove to the side "Stupefy!" the man dove out of the way, shooting another fireball.

"Who are you? What is this power? Did you take the spirits?" he yelled in between fire punches. Harry wanted to reply a well-deserved scathing comment, but was very much busy not lighting on fire thank you very much! "Locomotor Mortis!" the fire man launched a, you guessed it, fire ball at the spell, making a small explosion. "Answer me, peasant!" he yelled again. They were running around a circle, spells and fire going around. "Shut up weirdo, and stay still!" Harry grunted, he dodged another fire, making sure the man was staying away from the pond. Protecting the spirits and himself was making it very hard to land any kind of hit. "Diffindo!" he shouted as he dove to the side. The spell finally hit, landing a deep cut on the man's right hand. He dropped his hand in pain, and glared at him, even more furiously than before.

Before he could do anything, the guards had managed to launch themselves to meet them. "You have got to be kidding me." Dead panned Harry, breathing hard. There was no way he could beat all of these people at once. He raised his wand to fight, but a yell from above caught his attention, a weird white giant six legged … animal? On its back were five teenagers, though one of them was tied down, so did it count?

"Yeah get it Fireface! Wait who are you?" yelled a blue teenager with a boomerang. The kid he'd seen previously dropped down from the animal with a burst of air, pointing at him. "It's him! It's the weird guy!" Harry groaned as everyone stared at him, before the evil man stood back up with a classic evil smirk.

"I see you got the help of a spirit, Avatar! But none will be able to stop the great Zhao!" he declared. "He's not a spirit!" "I'm not a spirit!" the apparent avatar and Harry yelled at the same time, before looking at each other. "No matter, now tell me, where did you put the water spirits!" he yelled, fire forming in his hand. Everyone stared at him, wanting to know the answer to that as well.

Harry just sighted, looking at the sky. "I seriously hate today."
