Blame and Failure

Hello everyone and welcome to a, slightly late, chapter of Team WA Volume 2! Now, getting this out of the way first, all properties belong to their respective owners and I only own my OCs. Why did I do that, you might ask. The answer is, read and see. And as always a quick shout out to you, my fellow readers, who've given support to this story up to this point. and to DCDGojira: You most certainly can. I plan on resuming the side stories after I reach the current hiatus the show has gone on. Which reminds me, final announcement: The next upcoming chapters of this and my other stories will also probably be a little late with the Christmas holidays. Anyway, enough of that, enjoy a little bit of early Christmas with this newest chapter!

Mantle: Near the City's Damaged Wall, Several Minutes Ago

A city like Mantle had a shorter history in comparison to some of the other cities that had been established around Remnant. Not technically all that surprising given that technology had to advance to a certain degree before exploration of the snowy landscape could even begin. Though if you ask anyone who's familiar with Mantle's more recent history, they'd be quick to tell you that the current sight happening right now, had probably never happened even once during the city's establishment. And that sight, was the presence of numerous blue fires suddenly lighting up along the streets, frying several Grimm before disappearing as quickly as they came.

If one was curious about the source of the flames, they didn't need to look far as a figure wearing a shoulder cape landed on top of a car, a strange black mist surrounding his body as he unloaded on the next couple of Sabyrs that came charging at him with his twin tomahawk revolvers. The tiger-like Grimm quickly fell under the onslaught of flaming bullets, but no sooner had they dissolved than a pair of centinels came spiraling towards him at high speed. Fortunately for the gunman, aid arrived in the form of a bear Faunus woman hitting the both of them with a powerful, downward flaming punch that busted both of their heads and sent their dissolving corpses flying away. "We got some more coming," said Jen as the huntress and huntsman looked down the street at a charging pack of beowolves.

"You think the owner will mind if we borrow their car," questioned Tobias as he started leaving flaming footprints on its roof.

"I won't tell if you won't," said Jen as she hit the car with a powerful, wind dust assisted uppercut that sent the vehicle flying towards the pack with Tobias firing off some more rounds from his revolver into the dust compartment of the vehicle. The resulting explosion sent shrapnel out with both regular and Cerulean flames that tore into the pack and reduced it to just a few individuals which were quickly disposed of by the veteran huntsman and huntress.

"Alright, that should be the worst of them in this sector," said Tobias as he switched off his aura shadow for a bit, breathing a bit heavily from the continuous strain of using it. Even fully mastered and only being used as a Grimm beacon, negative energy was still negative energy and even a reduced presence in the body was still detrimental overtime with long-term use. It didn't help that it'd been a while since he'd used it on such a scale. "Fiona, we've reduced the number of Grimm in this sector. Where should we head too next?"

"Oh good, you two are finished up there," said Fiona over the communication line in their ears, "we need you both to head to the Western section of the city. Yang's group was supposed to head there but they ran into an emergency of some sort."

"An emergency," said Jen as the two hopped on some borrowed ATVs and sped down the street, "what kind of emergency requires all of them to handle it?"

"They wouldn't tell me," replied Fiona, "they said I probably wouldn't believe it unless I saw it for myself."

"Both Jaune and Ren are also part of that group," said Tobias, "if they've judged it bad enough to require all of them, then it really is an emergency. But don't worry, we'll be at the West side in just a bit."

"But after we're done there," said Jen, "I want to stop by your base where we stored the airship Maria grabbed from Atlas."

"What are you gonna need that for?" Questioned Fiona on the other end.

"I'm gonna use its radio," replied Jen, "I'll scan for any communications from them and I'd like you to do what you can on that front as well. If this emergency is them stumbling onto something else big, they'll need some backup."

Outside of Mantle: Now

'Damn this mutating monstrosity can fly fast,' thought Aegis as he, Yang, Jaune and Ren all pursued the strange Grimm that had kidnapped Oscar. They'd been forced to maneuver in a staggered line formation through the cramped city streets, slowing their progress until they reached the walls of the city itself. Now that they were out on the tundra, they were finally catching up to the flying Grimm as it was entering a snowy canyon. And while the canyon might solve the problem of them getting up to their enemy's height, there was one problem they were encountering on the tundra that hadn't been an issue in the city.

"I don't know how much longer these bikes can take this cold," said Ren as he looked at the readout on his Rhino's display, noting the red status of a few systems.

"But if we stop now, we'll lose the Grimm in these mountains," said Jaune.

"And this is about the time I really wish one of us could fly right now," commented Yang.

"Wait, that's it," said Jaune as he pulled back a bit and activated his shield, "Aegis, on my signal I'll need you to form a glass platform. Ren, I'm going to get you up there." The typically quiet huntsman nodded before leaping off of his bike and landing on his leader's shield. "Aegis, now!"

The Half Bear Faunus reacted quickly and formed a glass ramp several feet in front of Jaune's bike, allowing him to get a fair bit of air before using his shield to propel Ren even further upwards. The huntsman then fired his blade from his left Storm Flower weapon and wrapped it around the Grimm's ankle. "Nice," said Yang as she high-fived Aegis and then Jaune, the latter of whom hit yet another bump and had to regain control of his hoverbike. Though it was a bit early for a full celebration as the Grimm was still airborne and slinging its newest unwanted passenger from side to side in an attempt to slam him against the canyon walls.

A few of which actually succeeded with Ren eating dirt a couple of times as he was slammed into a random rocky tower and the rock walls of the canyon itself. "Ren, you're slowing him down so just try to hold on!" Said Jaune.

"Not like I have much of a choice!" Ren yelled back as he shifted to a frantic wall run before being pulled back into the air. Thankfully, he remembered his training and reoriented himself before firing a cable out from his other weapon, grabbing hold of a large rock that was yanked out of the ground and now being pulled along with him. This served to slow the Grimm even more as Aegis was now close enough to form some of his glass walls in front of it.

The flying creature growled in annoyance as it was forced to slow itself even further to evade suddenly appearing panes of glass in the air. It showed this annoyance by slamming the boulder Ren was dragging into another small spire, causing it to break loose from the cable and roll towards the pursuing huntress and two huntsmen who were forced to veer out of the way. Another couple of boulders were dislodged by the Grimm slamming Ren into more spires, slowing the progress of their pursuit until Yang saw an incline and raced up it, putting her on higher ground and closer to their quarry. Aegis was quick to back up her maneuver by creating more glass panes to corral the Grimm into one spot in the air.

Yang fired off a few rounds from her robot arm then, most of which succeeded in impacting against the strange Grimm as it shook in flight for a moment. But it was only a temporary success as the beast, clearly having had enough of the situation, dropped Oscar into its claws before flying low and letting out a powerful roar that echoed throughout the canyon. The area seemed to rumble in response as scores of centinels suddenly began popping up from all sides of the canyon and the ground in front of them. "Did that thing just call for backup?!" Exclaimed Yang as the group of three took evasive maneuvers around the continuously emerging Grimm while also ducking the Teryxes that had shown up as well.

"I take it back," said Aegis as he drew his weapon and formed a double-bladed glass ax, "this day is really starting to suck!" He cut through an approaching Teryx Grimm as he said that before lashing out and cutting through one centinel after another that came within range of his blade. Jaune was doing likewise with his sword while also using his shield to ward off any incoming attacks. It made for tricky riding as they had to grab onto the controls every so often to readjust their angle.

It was also made quite clear at that moment that Yang's riding skills trumped even Aegis's as she just maneuvered around the attacking Grimm, making hard turns and using her Ember Celicas to make split second changes in her direction. All things considered, it still looked like they had a chance to catch up to the flying Grimm, until one of the centinels spat acid onto the left engine of Jaune's hoverbike. "Jaune!" Called Yang as she saw the situation he was in.

The blond figured out her intentions easily enough as he sheathed his sword and stood up on his hoverbike. He jumped off right as two centinels spiraled into the backside of his Rhino, sending him flying into the air where he flipped forward somewhat and bashed his shield against another centinel, using its new hard light layer to propel himself back into the air where he landed on one of the main overpasses. A Teryx tried taking this as its opportunity to swoop in and eat Jaune, only for Aegis to come jumping in from out of nowhere and decapitate it with his ax before Yang came from the other end of the overpass and grabbed Jaune, using her strength to throw him onto the back of her hoverbike.

Aegis would end up on the right side of the canyon's upper walls with this maneuver while Yang and Jaune wound up on the left side. Both were swarming with Grimm and while Yang could maneuver fairly well through such obstacles, Aegis's reflexes were a little slower and he fell behind on his side as a result. At one point, a pair of centinels tried charging Aegis in what was now a familiar spiral attack, but the Half Bear Faunus was ready and conjured a large, glass drill head on his weapon which he then spun with his weapon's upgraded feature. The powerful attack easily plowed through the two Grimm and a few others behind them while Yang and Jaune managed to avoid a Teryx by using another gadget from the Doctor's pharmacy, a small disk that produced a fan-shaped hard light shield, as a ramp to leap over it.

Yang would then use her gauntlets to change their direction in the air somewhat before they landed and flew around the final remaining Grimm. Aegis wasn't far behind and was about to pull his bike off of the incline and down to the main path when he saw something troubling up ahead. "Guys! It's a dead end!" Exclaimed Aegis at the top of his lungs before jumping his hoverbike down to the middle of the small canyon.

It was too late by that point, unfortunately, as Yang and Jaune saw the cliff and tried to make a hard right turn. Expectedly, the sudden stop and turn had enough momentum for the Rhino hoverbike to throw both of its riders off and send them tumbling towards the side of the cliff that marked the literal end of the road. His two blond friends rolled and bounced along the ground for a couple of feet as Jaune made a last-ditch effort to stop the both of them by plunging his sword into the cliff's edge. But his grip wasn't tight enough and he wound up falling over the cliff with Yang.

"NOOOOO!" Exclaimed Aegis as he set his bike to park and leapt off of it before running towards the edge of the cliff. Everything had been moving in slow motion up to that point when, miraculously, a green blur came flying down from the sky and fired his two anchors in opposite directions. One wrapped around Jaune's right ankle while the other wrapped around his embedded sword on the cliff. It succeeded in stopping their fall, but their combined weight yanked the sword part of the way out of the ground.

"Oh no," said Ren as he looked back up at the slowly slipping sword and the approaching Teryx on their left. Just as it was about to bite down on them, however, a spinning glass blade cut into its neck as Aegis grabbed the sword and yanked on it, pulling his friends up a little and stopping their would be fall. Ren was quick to activate his semblance as he saw Aegis looking back at the approaching Grimm. The Half Faunus Huntsman tensed up as the horde of monsters stopped just short of him, wondering where their prey had gone now that they couldn't sense any emotions.

Aegis still stood ready for another few moments as the creatures looked around for a bit before finally turning back from the cliff and retreating to their dwellings. The huntsmen and huntress let out a collective breath as Aegis returned Ursus Cleaver to its place on his back and started pulling up his friends, grunting a little bit with the effort. He glanced up despite the task at hand, gritting his teeth as he watched Oscar's form retreating into the distance, still propelled by the strange, flying Grimm.

Some Time Later

There was good news, and also a whole lot of bad news for Yang's group. The good news, what little of it there was, is that the group still had Aegis's working bike and, despite the damage it sustained, also Yang's somewhat functioning bike. Ren had also managed to sight an outpost of sorts while he was flailing about in the air, which was their current destination. The bad news, Oscar was gone, the cold was strong enough that it was actually draining their auras, the bikes barely had enough 'umph' to go for more than a couple minutes before slowing down, and as for reception.

"I repeat, if anyone is receiving," said Jaune as he held his scroll up in an attempt to get a signal, "we need transport back to Mantle." This would be his third attempt now, with the same result as he let out a sigh and put his scroll away before continuing to push Yang's hover bike alongside Aegis's. They'd been walking for several minutes now and their less than enthusiastic guide, Ren, wasn't helping much in terms of directions.

"We need to get out of this weather before our auras are dropped completely by the cold," noted Yang as she checked her scroll before putting it back, "how much farther to the outpost?" Her question went unanswered, leading her to believe for a moment that he didn't hear her over the wind. "Ren, how much-?"

"I don't know," Ren finally said, cutting her off. The blond glanced back at the two huntsmen behind her, receiving a shrug from both of them before she picked up her pace until she was walking side by side with Ren.

"You said you saw it while you were up in the air, right?" Yang continued to question the stoic huntsman.

"I did," said Ren, "for a brief moment before I had to cut myself loose to help you guys."

"And we've all said, 'thank you' for it," said Yang, "is there a reason you keep bringing it up?"

"Not really," said Ren as he picked up his pace more, "it would just waste more time." But Yang wasn't having any of that as she walked even faster before stopping right in front of him.

"Okay, what is your deal?" Asked the Blond Brawler with her hands on her hips.

"Don't worry about it," said Ren, once again avoiding the question.

"Clearly it is something to worry about if you're being like this," said Yang, "I'm sorry things aren't going smoothly enough for you."

"Guys," Jaune tried to cut in from a distance, knowing now was not the time to be arguing.

"Things aren't going smoothly at all," said Ren as if this was something they hadn't noticed already.

"I hate to break it to you," said Yang, "but dealing with bad situations is part of being a huntsman."

"Are you kidding?!" Ren fired back, "we don't know the first thing about being huntsmen. We very clearly weren't ready for this!"

"Guys, stop it," said Jaune, more forcefully while Aegis sighed and let go of his bike.

"So you call saving Haven and taking down a Leviathan isn't enough to be ready? We even got the lamp to Atlas," Yang shot back.

"Which we then lost," Ren reminded her, "and after that, when we had to make real decisions, we've gotten every single one wrong."

"Every single one?" Questioned Yang, "I'm not gonna pretend like we've done everything perfectly up to this point, but things could've been a whole lot worse if we'd done nothing."

"How could things possibly be worse at this point?" Asked Ren, "Salem has both the lamp and Oscar while we're stuck out here. And Wayne was right when he said we had no plan and on top of that, we don't have an army either."

"We have the maiden with us," Yang reminded him.

"Who we kept from opening the vault for Ironwood which has succeeded in trapping the whole city for Salem," said Ren with his arms up in the air, "and now because of us, people are going to die."

"So what should we do, just give Ironwood what he wants?!" Questioned Yang, "Just abandon Mantle now? You think Atlas is still gonna float to safety now that she's here?!"

"I don't know," said Ren as he turned back towards Yang, "but these aren't the kinds of decisions we should be making, because we have no idea what we're even doing."

"And what exactly are you even doing right now?" Questioned Aegis as he tried not to growl.

"I'm just saying what nobody else wants to say," said Ren, "we're in way over our heads. Ruby is barely older than a kid, I'm an orphan from the middle of nowhere-."

"Ren you ne-," Jaune started to say before his friend turned on him with a raised voice.

"And you cheated your way into Beacon!" Ren exclaimed. But what caused an echo throughout the area, was the sudden collision of Aegis's fist with his face, knocking him into the snow as the growling Half Faunus's hackles were raised.

"In case you haven't noticed," said Aegis, "the reason we're having to make all of these big decisions in the first place is because the 'qualified' huntsmen and huntresses have also fucked up! The great General Ironwood is running with his tail between his legs, the Ace Ops are obsessed with following orders whether they're right or not, Qrow and Robyn Hill are M.I.A, and Ozpin, the person who should know Salem the best and has had multiple lifetimes to get it right, was fucking up long before we were even born! So, like it or not, think we should be huntsmen or not, we've still got a job to do so focus on that instead of whining!"

Aegis finally took a breath and composed himself then as Jaune stopped behind him for a moment. "Let's just get out of the cold already."

Some Time Later: The Inside of Monstra the Whale Grimm

"Ah, feels good to be back at a hundred percent," Exo mused aloud as he stretched slightly while walking the 'halls' of the whale Grimm that also served as their current base of operations. Things had been looking up a bit lately, even despite his most recent beat down. Neo was safe, Cinder was back, the great kingdom of Atlas was running scared and his bank account was looking better than ever. Though when he thought about it, there was the possibility that the world would have to change its currency after all of this. But so long as he wound up with the folks on top it probably wouldn't make a huge difference.

Exo gave a smirk at the thought of it all before he caught some movement in his peripherals at where the hallways diverged. The mercenary gripped his sword and spun around, stopping his draw only once he saw who else was there. "Ah, there you are Exo," said Salem as a large, eyeless Grimm resembling a dog stepped up to him and took a quick whiff of him, "would you mind walking with me for a moment?"

"Uh, sure thing your highness," replied Exo as the Hound Grimm moved to walk on her right side. The way its skin shifted and bubbled like oily tar made the Wolf Faunus slightly uneasy. "Mind if I ask what kind of Grimm that is? I've never seen one like that before, and I've been looking through all the Grimm you've made or modified since I started working directly under you."

"This one is an experiment of sorts," replied Salem with her hands together as she seemed to glide across the bone floor next to Exo, "I've been calling it 'The Hound', and thus far, I've been pleased with the results."

"Well good help can be hard to find," said Exo with a shrug, "and a watch dog ain't a half bad idea either."

"Yes, and that's what I wished to speak to you about," said Salem with a knowing smirk, "you see, despite my orders, I believe Cinder may try something…...unwise."

"The boss has always been pretty smart when it comes to most things," said Exo, "do you really think she'd risk punishment by going against you now?"

"She'll justify her decision as being, proactive," said Salem, "and while I admire such initiative from time to time, I'd prefer she not do anything to jeopardize my plans."

"Well what do you want me to do about it?" Questioned Exo, "I'm tough but she's got the power of a maiden, one of the more dangerous beings on Remnant as you've told me. I'd put up a fight but-."

"You misunderstand," said Salem, "Cinder and Neo both place a degree of trust in you. So, I'd like you to keep an eye on them. And should Cinder decide to disobey my orders, well, it'll all depend on how amusing the result is." Exo crossed his arms and thought on the matter for a moment, quickly realizing there wasn't much choice in what he could do to begin with.

"If that's what you need me to do," said Exo with a nod, "I'd best get on it."

A Few Minutes Later

Exo wasted no time after that, quickly marking the Atlesian ships they'd both flown in before posting himself nearby. And to his disappointment, or was it dismay, both Cinder and Neo came walking into the 'bay' of the whale about an hour later. "I know what she said," spoke Cinder as she came hurrying down onto the platform, "I just want to check on something. It won't take long, and we should be back before anyone even notices we're gone."

Neo was clearly not satisfied with this answer as she leapt up and glided down with her open umbrella above her head with a look on her face that demanded a better reason. "I just want to see if there's anything going on at Amity Coliseum," explained Cinder, "she might know how to manipulate people, but she doesn't know those kids like I do. They wouldn't simply abandon their misguided attempt at saving the world." She stopped at the edge of the platform and looked out at Atlas while Neo came to settle on the manta-like ship with one leg over the other.

When she turned back to Neo, however, the silent girl merely flitted her head in a 'not happening' gesture, eliciting a growl from Cinder. But then Exo caught another scent, one he should've expected as Emerald seemingly appeared behind Neo's umbrella. "If she doesn't want to go, I can come along. I've been working on my semblance so I can help, and I won't tell anybody."

"Whether you tell anybody or not," said Exo from the shadows before teleporting onto the hood of the Atlesian craft, getting two annoyed glares and one of mild concern turned in his direction, "Salem will probably know pretty quickly if you're up to something."

"How much did you overhear," said Cinder as she lit a flame in her hand.

"Pretty much all of it," said Exo as he crossed his arms, "but it's not like I can stop you from leaving. And if I really wanted to report you, I could've just teleported right over to Salem."

"So, what do you want then?" Questioned Emerald with her hand on her right weapon while Exo noted that Neo was ready to draw her own weapon on the green-haired girl.

"Look, we all got someone over there we want dead," said Exo as he hopped of the airship, "so if you're figuring is right, Amity is where we'll find them. I just want my fair shot too, I'll even pilot if that's what ya need." Cinder seemed to mull this over for a moment, weighing the pros and cons before finally coming to a decision.

Abandoned Atlesian Outpost: Nighttime

To call the place they'd arrived at an outpost might've been giving it too much credit. It was more like a high-tech shack with a metallic floor, two bunk beds, a work bench and enough room to fit a small crew comfortably with a large light fixture outside for whenever it became necessary to fix something at night. Which was more or less what Yang and Aegis had been doing as they were scavenging a nearby shed for parts to fix her hover bike. They were just on their way in when Lie 'Sunshine' Ren exited the door and walked past them.

"If anyone cares," said Yang, "we found a part to fix the bike. So yay, some actual good news." Though the clear lack of enthusiasm in her voice said it wasn't great news. Aegis went and took up residence on the bottom bunk bed nearest to the outpost's workbench as he started pulling apart the piece of Yang's engine which had taken damage to replace some of the parts. "For what it's worth, I'm sorry he said that to you," she spoke to Jaune, "we both know you had to work hard to get here."

"We're all just under a lot of stress right now," said Jaune as he looked up from the heater and glanced at Ren outside the window. The quiet huntsman was currently taking up residence underneath the light fixture, "I once pushed people away too because I thought I should handle everything on my own."

"It's actually quite a common occurrence," said Aegis, "me, my brother and a few other members of the family have had times like that. The hard part is convincing them that there's no shame in asking for help."

"Tell me about it," said Jaune with both hands to his head as he approached the back-bottom bunk. "Ah, I really need to get some sleep, but I can't stop thinking about Oscar."

"Go ahead," said Yang as Jaune almost collapsed on the bunk, "Aegis and I can make sure Ren doesn't brute himself to death out in the cold."

"As much fun as a Li-cicle Ren would be to see right now," quipped Aegis, "or would it be a Ren-cicle?"

"Ignore him," said Yang, "we'll bring him in long before that happens." Jaune gave a final nod before closing his eyes and doing his best to relax. Neither the Cleaving Bear nor the Blond Brawler said much of anything for the next several minutes until the steady rise and fall of Jaune's chest indicated that he'd finally fallen asleep. Aegis stood up and took a spot at the work bench next to Yang then, his part of the repair now requiring actual tools besides his hands. But there was also something else he wanted to do while he was up, though Yang beat him to it.

"Aegis," said Yang with her head a bit lower, "I know we just now got together. But you didn't have to stay with me. It would've been fine-."

"You're assuming I wanted to go with my brother. The fact is, I did and I didn't," said Aegis, "honestly I could see the merit of both ideas. You and Ruby want to help the people get through this, and evacuating a city takes a lot more people than infiltrating a military compound. The fact is, me and my parents trust Wayne and believe in his abilities as well as everyone else who wanted to go with the Amity idea. And stealth, if you'll recall, is not my forte."

"I get all of that," said Yang, "I was just wondering…if you thought less of me, for not wanting to help with Amity." Aegis didn't speak at first to that, instead he put a hand on her shoulder and turned her towards him.

"Yang," he said, "just because you don't have as solid of a plan for helping out Mantle, doesn't mean you're any less willing or determined to see everyone safe. I know you're doing this because you believe it's the right thing to do. This snag we've hit with that freaky new Grimm, that's not on you, none of us saw that coming. What I do know, is that you still plan on doing everything you can to find a way to help the people here, and because of that," Aegis planted a quick kiss on her lips, "I'll never think less of you."

"Ya know," said Yang with a soft smile, "you can be surprisingly mature when your brother's not around."

"Yeah, I hate it," replied the Half Bear Faunus, "honestly I can't wait for him to get back, because when I'm acting more mature than Ren, you know we got a problem."

"Oh stop," said Yang with a playful shove, "I know you're a lot smarter and more mature than you let on. That's part of the reason I've come to like you so much. You've always respected my thrill-seeking drive but you've also been there for me when I needed something other than a simple thrill to forget about my problems."

"And I'll stick with you all the way through this one too," said Aegis with a thumbs up. Yang simply shook her head at his antics before giving him another kiss. It was a moment they'd both need to enjoy while it lasted. Because near the outpost, cracks were beginning to form in the ground, caused by very unnatural forces. And what was worse, was the scene a little ways out.

Near the Outpost

While most of the Grimm under Salem's control were busy circling the city or flying around as protection for the whale Grimm, Monstra, every now and then a few would stray whenever they saw movement. This would turn out to be the undoing for a pack of Teryx's and a flying Beringel. The group of soulless creatures were all currently lain out, slowly dissolving from fatal wounds as another creature stood over them before snatching up a part of the Beringel with one of its clawed hands, which were connected to arms so long they actually went past its knees. They didn't quite reach its hoofed feet, however.

Its black, furred, lanky body was also characterized by a white ribcage that covered its front. The most striking feature about it, though, was the deer skull-shaped head it sported which hid its mouth of gnarled teeth as it ate the Grimm flesh it had recently acquired. The appetite of this beast was extraordinarily ravenous, even among the Grimm. It was to the point that, finding no alternative forms of flesh, the creature would feast upon its own kind and would often find itself in conflict with its Grimm brethren. This made it an exceedingly rare and dangerous creature.

And now here it was near Mantle, a place ripe with delicious negativity promising a feast for the soulless monster. Thus, with a final bone crunching bite of its current meal, the dreaded Wendigo Grimm began making its way towards Mantle and Atlas, it's maw already salivating at the thought of fresh meat.

It's true what they say, sometimes things get a lot worse before they get better. And being stranded with a new Grimm nearby, definitely worse. Once again, not plagiarizing or anything, I was just given the suggestion to include the Wendigo Grimm and thought it might be a good idea to give it the fair chance it never got. But what do y'all think? Feel free to let me know in your comments and reviews as well as what you liked/disliked or if you've got any neat ideas for future chapters. Be sure to stop in next time as Wayne and Penny square off against Cinder and her other fearsome ladies! 'Til then.
