The sun rose over the Tristain Magic Academy, casting a warm golden glow on the ancient stone walls. It was a new day, and Louise was walking with her familiars, the members of Noble Team, through the academy's corridors. The atmosphere was alive with excitement and chatter, as everyone seemed to be talking about the dramatic events that had unfolded just a day before.

Louise couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and satisfaction as she listened to the whispers and exclamations of her fellow students. She had played a crucial role in capturing the infamous thief, Fouquet, and recovering the powerful M41 SPNKr – or as she had known it, the Staff of Destruction. It was a rare moment for Louise, who had grown used to being dismissed and underestimated by her peers. Now, she could hold her head high, knowing that she had proven her worth.

As she walked alongside Noble Team, she reveled in the attention and admiration. "I can't believe we actually caught Fouquet," she said, not trying to hide the pride in her voice. "I always knew that my familiars were special, but I never expected us to accomplish something like this."

Carter smiled at her, acknowledging her enthusiasm. "You played a significant part in the mission, Louise," he said. "You should be proud of yourself."

Her fellow students couldn't help but stare at Louise and her unusual familiars as they passed by. Some of them whispered in awe, while others watched with undisguised envy. Louise was particularly pleased to notice Kirche's gaze following her, the fire mage's eyes filled with disbelief and a touch of jealousy.

Jorge, meanwhile, took the opportunity to remind everyone to stay focused. "We did well yesterday," he said, his deep voice carrying authority. "But let's not forget that there may be more challenges ahead. We need to stay sharp and be prepared for anything."

Emile grinned, his playful nature shining through. "Come on, big guy, let us enjoy the moment a little," he said, nudging Jorge with his elbow. "We deserve it, don't you think?"

Kat nodded in agreement, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "It's not every day that we get to bask in the limelight," she said. "Besides, it's good for Louise to feel proud of her accomplishments."

As they continued to stroll through the academy grounds, Louise and Noble Team were met with even more curious and admiring looks. It was a day that Louise would remember for a long time, not just for the success of their mission, but for the newfound respect and admiration she had gained from her peers.

As Louise and the rest of Noble Team continued to enjoy their day, they came across Noble Six, who was sitting on a bench under the shade of a large tree. He was carefully cleaning and inspecting an assault rifle, completely engrossed in the task.

Louise's curiosity was immediately piqued, and she hurried over to him. "Six, what are you doing?" she asked, her eyes wide with fascination as she examined the unfamiliar weapon.

Six looked up from his work and offered a brief explanation. "I'm maintaining my weapon, Louise. It's important to keep it clean and functional, especially in a world like this where we can't easily find replacements or spare parts."

Louise's excitement grew as she listened to Six's explanation. She had never seen anything like this rifle before, and she was eager to learn more. "Can you show me how it works?" she asked, her eyes shining with enthusiasm.

Six, noticing her interest, proceeded to explain the basics of the rifle – how to load it, aim, and fire. As he spoke, Louise's excitement only grew, and she couldn't help but ask if he could teach her how to use it.

Carter, who had been watching the exchange from a distance, stepped in with a note of caution. "Louise, we still don't have a reliable source of ammunition for our firearms. I don't think it's a good idea to waste what little we have on teaching you to shoot."

Just as Louise's excitement began to deflate, Colbert appeared, having spotted the group while passing by. He approached them with a broad smile on his face. "Actually, I have some good news on that front," he said. "I've made significant progress in recreating 'gunpowder' for your weapons. It's not quite perfect yet, but it's a promising start."

Louise's face lit up again, and she turned to Carter with renewed excitement. "See, it won't be a waste! I can learn how to shoot a gun without worrying about using up all our ammunition!"

Carter hesitated for a moment, exchanging glances with Six. Seeing the determination in Louise's eyes and the reassurance in Six's expression, he finally relented. "Alright, Louise. Six can teach you how to use the rifle, but only if you promise to be responsible with it."

Louise nodded eagerly, her face flushed with excitement at the prospect of learning a new skill. As Six began to guide her through the basics, the rest of Noble Team watched on, curious to see how their young summoner would fare with such an unfamiliar weapon.

With everything set up, Six led Louise to a quiet corner of the courtyard, where he had placed several targets for her to practice shooting. He handed her the rifle, and Louise's eyes widened as she struggled to hold it steady; it was much heavier than she had anticipated.

The rest of Noble Team gathered around to watch as Six patiently taught Louise the proper way to hold and aim the rifle. He demonstrated the correct stance and grip, carefully adjusting her position as needed.

At first, Louise's shots were wildly off the mark, missing the targets completely. She frowned in frustration, but Six encouraged her to keep trying, offering gentle corrections and advice. Gradually, her aim began to improve, and she started to hit the targets with increasing accuracy.

Emile watched in amazement as Louise's shots grew more and more precise, her natural talent for marksmanship quickly becoming apparent. He couldn't help but be impressed by her progress, even going so far as to say, "You know, Louise, you might give Jun a run for his money with your shooting."

Louise blushed at the unexpected praise, her cheeks turning a bright shade of pink. "Thank you, Emile," she said, her voice filled with pride. "I didn't think I'd be able to do it, but with Six's help, I'm starting to get the hang of it."

The rest of Noble Team smiled at Louise's newfound confidence, and Six gave her a nod of approval. "You've got a lot of potential, Louise," he said, his voice filled with genuine admiration. "Keep practicing, and you'll become an even better marksman."

As the sun began to set, Louise and the rest of Noble Team wrapped up their impromptu shooting lesson. Though she still had much to learn, Louise's remarkable progress had left a lasting impression on everyone, and they couldn't help but wonder what other surprises their young summoner had in store.

As Louise and Noble Team finished up their shooting lesson, a messenger approached the group, holding a sealed letter adorned with the royal crest. The messenger bowed to Louise and handed her the letter. "Miss Vallière, this is a message from Her Royal Highness, Princess Henrietta. She has requested your presence."

Louise's eyes widened as she carefully broke the seal and unfolded the letter. As she read its contents, a mixture of excitement and nervousness filled her expression. "Noble Team, it seems that Princess Henrietta has invited us to the royal palace to congratulate us for capturing Fouquet," she announced.

The members of Noble Team exchanged glances, clearly intrigued by the unexpected invitation. Carter spoke up, "Well, it's not every day that you receive an invitation from a princess. We should accept her offer and visit the palace tomorrow."

Louise nodded in agreement, her heart racing at the prospect of visiting the royal palace with her familiars. "Yes, let's do that. I'm sure it will be an honor for all of us to be recognized by the princess."

That night, excitement buzzed through the air as Louise and Noble Team prepared for their upcoming visit to the royal palace. Each member of the team carefully polished their armor and ensured their weapons were in perfect condition, wanting to make a strong impression on the princess and her court.

Louise, on the other hand, struggled to decide what to wear for the occasion, eventually settling on a beautiful dress that she thought would be fitting for a royal audience. As she lay in bed, her mind raced with anticipation, wondering what the following day would bring.

The next morning, the group set off for the royal palace, their hearts filled with a mixture of excitement and apprehension. As they approached the grand gates of the palace, they couldn't help but marvel at the magnificent architecture and the bustling activity within its walls.

Soon, they would come face to face with Princess Henrietta herself, and they knew they would need to be at their best to impress her and the rest of the royal court.

Upon their arrival at the royal palace, Louise and Noble Team were ushered into a grand audience chamber, where Princess Henrietta awaited them. The princess looked regal and elegant, wearing a beautiful gown and a welcoming smile. As Louise and her familiars approached, Henrietta gracefully stood and greeted them.

"Welcome, Louise and Noble Team. I wanted to extend my sincerest congratulations to all of you for the capture of Fouquet. Your efforts have greatly benefited the kingdom," the princess said with genuine gratitude in her voice.

Louise blushed slightly, overwhelmed by the princess's praise. Carter, acting as the spokesperson for the team, bowed respectfully and replied, "Thank you, Your Highness. We are honored to serve and protect."

However, Henrietta's expression turned serious as she continued, "I must apologize, as there is another reason I have asked you to come here today. I need your help in resolving a delicate matter in a nearby village."

Louise and the members of Noble Team listened attentively as the princess explained the situation. "A noble named Chelenne has been abusing his power, imposing heavy taxes on the villagers and causing them great suffering. I cannot allow such cruelty to continue, and I believe that you, Louise, and your familiars, are the ones who can put a stop to this."

Moved by the princess's concern for her people, Louise stepped forward, determination in her eyes. "Princess Henrietta, you can count on us. We will do everything in our power to help the villagers and put an end to Chelenne's tyranny."

Carter nodded in agreement, his voice steady and confident. "Your Highness, Noble Team is ready and willing to assist in this matter. We will ensure that justice is served."

Henrietta smiled, her eyes filled with gratitude and relief. "Thank you, Louise, and thank you, Noble Team. I have faith in your abilities and your commitment to the people of our kingdom."

As they prepared to leave the palace and embark on their new mission, Louise and Noble Team knew that they were not only fighting for the villagers but also for the trust and honor bestowed upon them by Princess Henrietta. And they were determined to prove themselves worthy of that trust.

Afterward, the sun was setting as Louise and Noble Team set out on their journey to the nearby village mentioned by Princess Henrietta. The air was cool, and the sky was painted with a brilliant array of colors as the group moved steadily along the well-trodden path.

Emile, holding his shotgun intently, scanned the surroundings for any potential threats. Carter, noticing Emile's unease, reminded him, "Remember, Emile, we should only use our UNSC weapons as a last resort."

Emile glanced at Carter and, with a hint of reluctance, agreed. "Yeah, I know. Just being cautious, boss."

Louise, who had been walking nearby, couldn't help but feel curious about Emile's shotgun. She asked, "Emile, what's the difference between that gun and the one Six taught me to use?"

Emile, intrigued by Louise's curiosity, happily explained, "Well, this here is a shotgun. It's a close-range weapon that fires multiple pellets at once, causing massive damage. The rifle Six taught you to use is more suitable for medium to long-range engagements and fires a single, high-velocity round."

As Emile finished explaining the differences between the shotgun and the rifle, he reached into his holster and pulled out his pistol. He held it out to Louise, who looked at the weapon with curiosity.

"Here, take this," Emile said, handing her the pistol. "Keep it with you and use it only in emergencies. You've proven yourself to be a quick learner, and it might come in handy."

Louise hesitated for a moment, but then accepted the weapon, feeling its weight in her hands. She nodded, appreciating the trust Emile was placing in her.

Carter watched the exchange, apprehensive about the idea of Louise carrying a firearm. However, he couldn't deny that she had demonstrated an unexpected talent for shooting during their practice session. Reluctantly, he decided to let her keep the pistol but made a mental note to keep an eye on her and ensure she used it responsibly.

As they continued on their journey to the village, Louise couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and responsibility as she carried the pistol. She knew that her familiars had put their trust in her, and she was determined not to let them down.

Afterward, the sun had dipped below the horizon by the time they arrived at the village. Tired from their journey, but determined to help the villagers and put an end to Chelenne's tyranny.

Upon arriving at the village, Louise and Noble Team were shocked by the depraved living conditions they witnessed. Houses were crumbling, people were dressed in tattered clothing, and a general air of despair hung over the once-thriving community. The evidence of Chelenne's oppressive taxation was all too clear.

As the group walked through the village, the weary inhabitants cast anxious glances at the imposing figures of Noble Team. It seemed as though they had lost all hope and were too afraid to trust anyone, even those who had come to help them.

Noticing the unease among the villagers, Six stepped forward and approached one of the villagers, an elderly man with a weathered face who was sitting on a rickety stool outside his crumbling home.

"What happened here?" Six asked, his voice gentle but firm.

The old man looked up at Six with tired eyes, hesitated for a moment, and then spoke. "Ever since Chelenne rose to power, he's been abusing it. He's overtaxing us, pushing our people to the brink of poverty. We can barely afford to feed our families, let alone maintain our homes."

As the man spoke, the rest of the village gathered around, nodding in agreement and sharing their own stories of hardship and suffering at the hands of Chelenne.

Louise clenched her fists, anger bubbling inside her as she listened to the villagers' stories. She glanced at Noble Team, who shared her anger and determination to put an end to Chelenne's tyranny.

Carter then stepped forward and asked, "Where can we find Chelenne?"

The villager pondered for a moment before answering, "He frequents an inn here in the village called 'The Charming Fairy.' He's usually there in the evenings, surrounded by his lackeys, drinking and laughing at our expense."

Carter nodded in acknowledgment and thanked the villager for the information. He turned to the rest of Noble Team and Louise, and they all knew what they had to do.

Determined to put an end to Chelenne's reign of tyranny, the group made their way to "The Charming Fairy" inn.

As Louise and Noble Team entered the inn, they couldn't help but notice the scantily-clad staff. The atmosphere was lively, but there was an underlying tension that permeated the room. Emile cracked a joke, saying, "This place seems fun," earning a swift elbow from Kat, who reminded him to stay focused.

All eyes were on them as they made their way through the inn. They were greeted by the owner, Scarron, and his daughter, Jessica. Jorge, trying to be discreet, asked them about Chelenne. Upon hearing his name, their faces grew apprehensive, and they ushered the group into a back room to talk in private.

Once they were alone, Scarron and Jessica relaxed a bit, and Jessica explained, "Chelenne is a tyrant. He's been bleeding this village dry with his taxes, and we've been powerless to stop him. Are you here to stop him?"

Louise nodded, and Carter confirmed, "Yes, we're here to help. We need to find Chelenne and put an end to his tyranny. Can you tell us more about him?"

Scarron sighed and began recounting the extent of Chelenne's cruelty, from seizing villagers' lands to forcing the inn to employ scantily-clad young women to appease his desires. Jessica chimed in, adding that he enjoyed humiliating the villagers and often made a show of his power by ordering public whippings or other cruel punishments.

As they listened to the tale, Louise and Noble Team grew more determined than ever to confront Chelenne and put an end to his reign of terror.

Scarron then looked out the window and noticed the sun beginning to set. He turned to Louise and Noble Team, saying, "It's fortunate that you're here now. Chelenne usually comes to the inn around this time. He likes to make an entrance and intimidate everyone with his entourage. This may be your chance to confront him."

Louise and the team exchanged glances, recognizing the opportunity that was presented to them. Carter nodded in agreement, and they devised a quick plan to deal with Chelenne and his henchmen.

As they prepared themselves, they could hear the raucous laughter and jeers of Chelenne's entourage approaching the inn. Scarron and Jessica looked at the group with a mix of hope and fear in their eyes, silently pleading for them to succeed in their mission.

Louise gripped her wand tightly, and the rest of Noble Team checked their weapons discreetly, ensuring they were ready for the confrontation. As the door to the inn swung open and Chelenne entered, flanked by his men.

Noble Team and Louise surrounded Chelenne, who was visibly surprised and apprehensive at the sight of the armored warriors. Emile took a step forward and, with a swift motion, stabbed his knife into the table that Chelenne was sitting at, making the man flinch.

Carter calmly said, "We'd like a word with you about your treatment of the villagers."

Before Carter could continue, Emile cut in, his voice menacing, "You're going to stop oppressing these people, or else."

Chelenne, trying to hide his fear, scoffed at the demand and defiantly ordered his men, "Get rid of them!"

As Chelenne's men rushed towards Noble Team, a chaotic fight ensued. Louise quickly darted for cover, attempting to find a safe spot from which she could launch sneaky attacks on Chelenne's men, knowing that her lack of magical talent wouldn't be of much help.

Meanwhile, Noble Team fought with the weapons they had acquired from this world, expertly using their new swords, daggers, and staves in combination with their combat skills. Chelenne's men were no match for the highly trained warriors, and they quickly found themselves overwhelmed.

As the battle raged on, Louise managed to find an opening and cast a small, yet ineffective spell, using the smoke from it to cover one of Chelenne's men and allowing Carter to finish him off. Louise felt a small sense of pride, knowing that she had contributed to the fight.

Within minutes, Chelenne's men were either incapacitated or fleeing from the inn. Chelenne, realizing that he was defeated, looked around in panic, trying to find an escape route. Suddenly Chelenne spots one of the young waitresses hiding in fear nearby. He then desperately grabs the young woman and pulls a dagger on her throat, threatening Noble team to stay back.

The room was tense as Noble Team and Louise stood frozen, not wanting to provoke Chelenne and risk the young woman's life. Chelenne's eyes darted between them, desperately trying to figure out his next move. As he tightened his grip on the waitress, Louise's mind raced, searching for a way to resolve the situation.

Suddenly, she remembered the pistol Emile had given her earlier. With her heart pounding in her chest, she hesitated, unsure if she could bring herself to use the weapon against another person. But as she looked at the terrified face of the young waitress, she knew she had no other choice.

Taking a deep breath, Louise slowly reached for the pistol, her hands shaking. She raised the weapon, aimed it at Chelenne's head, and pulled the trigger. The gunshot echoed through the room, and Chelenne's lifeless body slumped to the ground, releasing the waitress who quickly scrambled away in fear.

The room fell silent, and Noble Team turned to look at Louise in shock and surprise. The pistol slipped from her trembling hands, clattering to the ground as she stared at the man she had just killed. Falling to her knees, she touched the blood from Chelenne on her face, her eyes wide with disbelief.

Louise couldn't speak, couldn't think, as she trembled from the weight of her actions. She had taken a life, and the reality of it was too much for her to bear. As she knelt there, lost in her thoughts, the rest of Noble Team exchanged worried glances, unsure of how to comfort their young charge.

After witnessing Louise's traumatic experience, Kat removed her helmet, revealing her concerned expression. She approached Louise cautiously, unsure of how the young mage would react. The rest of Noble Team looked on, their worry evident even through their visors.

"Louise," Kat said softly, trying to meet her gaze. But Louise remained silent, her eyes fixed on the lifeless body of Chelenne.

As the silence stretched on, Kat realized that words alone wouldn't be enough to comfort her. She gently wrapped her arms around Louise, pulling her into a warm embrace. "It's okay," she whispered, her voice full of empathy. "Everything is going to be okay."

At those words, something within Louise broke. Tears streamed down her cheeks as she clung to Kat, her body wracked with sobs. The weight of what she had done, the burden of taking a life, was almost too much to bear. But at that moment, she found solace in the arms of her familiar.

The rest of Noble Team stood by, offering their silent support. They understood the gravity of the situation and knew that Louise needed time to process her emotions. Each of them had experienced the harsh realities of war, and they recognized the pain she was feeling.

As Louise continued to cry, Kat held her tightly, offering her strength and comfort. It would take time for the young mage to come to terms with her actions, but she wasn't alone. She had her familiars, her friends, by her side.

As Louise's sobs began to subside, Kat released her from the embrace, but still held her at arm's length, offering a reassuring smile. "Take it one step at a time, Louise," she advised gently. "We're here for you, and we'll help you through this."

Louise nodded, wiping her tear-streaked face with the back of her hand. She glanced at the rest of Noble Team, who all gave her encouraging nods or gestures, reminding her that they were a team and would face these trials together.

Carter stepped forward, his tone firm but understanding. "We should leave this place and return to the palace. Princess Henrietta needs to be informed about what transpired here."

Louise, still shaken but determined to fulfill her duty, agreed. She took a deep breath and stood up, drawing strength from the unwavering support of her familiars.

As they made their way out of the inn and back towards the palace, the team maintained a protective formation around Louise. They knew that the events of the day would stay with her for a long time, but they also understood that they had a duty to help her grow and adapt to the difficult situations they would inevitably face.
