[Earlier in the day.]
While Nepgear and her group went to find the mascot of Leanbox, Chika and Cave stayed behind at the Basilicom…
"You are sure that I should stay here instead of helping them?" Cave asks
"They will be fine, and I think we will need people here if something go bad here, and if they need reinforcement then they will just have to call me." Chika says and then start to walk away "Anyway, I got some paper works to do, Vert wouldn't be happy that I just start lazying around."
Chika enters to her office she sits down and start to reviews a pile of document consisting of various requests and tasks concerning the nation in general
Someone call the oracle trough her phone, she waste no time picking up while continuing to look at the papers
"Yes?"
"Lady. There is a protest in the city, how should we intervene?"
"It must be another Saturday. Do as usual."
"Roger."
At the same moment, a convoy of trucks of the Leanboxian Riot police heads to the area of the protests, they reach the protesters and step out of their trucks, they are fully equipped with riot shields and batons some instead have blast balls, the rioters quickly forms a wall of shield
On the other side, the protesters are chanting as they advance trough the city, there is people of all ages
"Hold the position." The police riot leader says
"LET US PASS!" A protester yells
"YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO PROTECT THE PEOPLE!" Another one yells "YOU ARE JUST THE ELITE BODYGUARD!"
"THEY SOLD THEIR SOULS TO THE GODDESS!"
Some protesters start to throw rocks and other projectiles
"We charge?" A rioters asks to his superior
"Not now."
This continues for a few minutes until the riot police leader orders a counter attack
"Okay. Starts to fire the blast balls filled with tear gas!"
The four rioters equipped with riot guns aims up

Three of the projectiles land on the ground, A protester is hit in the face he collapse on the ground
"Shit!" The gunner says
"BOYAAA!" A policeman says
"Nice shot!" A policewoman says
"STOP REJOICING! They are gonna become more aggressive you dumbasses!" The riot police leader says "Nice we are gonna ends on social medias again." he thinks to himself
On the protester side, they quickly notice what happened, they see one man on the ground laying unconscious, one of them come to see him and notice that he stunned by the grenade that landed into his eye
"SHIT! His eye! Call an ambulance!"
"POLICE BRUTALITY!"
As one of the protester prepare to throw an empty glass bottle, she feels someone behind her
"You would like to avenge your comrade form these blood thirsty monsters?" He says with a sinister tone, he then handle a handgun to the man "Its dangerous to fight them without proper equipment. Take this."
The woman looks at the weapon and hesitates for a moment and then takes it
At the same moment, the tear gas start to empty themselves and the screen made by the canister slowly disappears
"Okay, now that they are disorganized its time to CHAR-"
BANG
A bullet hit the leader of the riot police in the chest, in shock of his working pals, the man almost fall down, he manage to catch himself on a knee
"Alex are you okay?!" one of the cops yells
"Get her out of here!"
She can hardly hears what they are saying, the only thing that he can fully hear is her breathing and some distant gunshots as she gets dragged away, shortly after she tries hardly to figure out where the shot came, form the protesters? Impossible, she was behind a wall of shield that are bullet prof, form the side? She wouldn't have hit in the chest. She concludes that it comes form buildings
"The buildings..." She says
At the same moment, two riot polices comes with assault rifles while the truck start to activate the water cannon on the top of it in attempt to do a crowd control, they observe the surroundings buildings over the protesters, one of them notice a glint coming form a building window opposed to their position, one of them take an aim…
BANG
A bullet is fired and hit the hand of the police man that spotted the shooter, the other one quickly aim up but the second he fires, the enemy gunner vanished, the police man feel himself breathing faster and faster every second as the chaos in the street continues
"What do I do now?" he thinks, he looks at the wall of shield in front of him, he notice a few bullet impacts in most of them, he looks up…
A molotov cocktail is falling in the direction of the shields wielders, it land right in front of them and a pool of fire appears, the cops quickly get away form it, making a hole in the formation, the rifle man see the protesters, some of them have guns, he doesn't thinks further in the panic and quickly aim at the crowd…
BANG BANG BANG
He fires full auto on them. The angry yells of the crowd almost instantly into screams of panics, the crowd is quickly dispersed, he looks at the damage he have done.
There is corpse of a lot of peoples of ages varying to young adult to middle aged people, bleeding out, some of them effectively had guns… Some.
He is trembling, after realizing what he have done, he drop his rifle on the ground
[Meanwhile.]
Chika taps her desk with her finger tips while looking outside of the Basilicom window, she can still hear the distant chaos form up there, the protest are even louder than usual so she knew that something is weird, she gets her phone
"Cave, go check at the protests area, I have a bad feeling about them." Chika says
"About them being more violent?" Cave responds
"Yes."
"On my way."
Cave runs trough the city, the streets look like a violent guerrilla that happened a few hours ago. She easily navigate trough the crowds of people and the police, she pass over some journalists that are hiding behind the corner of a building, she see them in the corner of her eye and stops running to listen them.
"We barely got out of the fire fight. The police opened fired on us." The journalist says to her cameraman"We saw people dropping dead, we had the good reflex to get out of the zone during that carnage."
Cave continues to listen for a minute and then get away form them, she attempts to find where it happened…
...Until she finds it. A lot of corpses on the road that are covered with sheets, there is ambulances next to them, some bystanders are crying, probably they are the family of the victims while some doctors tries to calm them down
[Some hours after.]
The People Party headquarters
"Today, the usual protest went bloody in this Saturday, protests often turned into violent riots but the levels got off the chart, it was like a guerrillas fighting military, results, around twenty confirmed death in protesters side and another dozen of injured, according to the police, the protester were armed with firearms and attempted to shot the cops and its in the panic that one of them fired full auto into the crowd. Also, they were two individual distributing weapons to civilians shortly before it went brutal, and a third one was attempting to kill the riot polices, without a lot of success since there were only a few injuries and only 1 death."
The TV is turned off, on the opposite side, a woman is sitting and put a hand on her forehead, she sighs
"Intolerable." She says as she gets up and leave the room
The moment she steps outside a man comes to see her
A man comes to her "You know what happened earlier?"
"Of course I do. We cant let them getting away with that. They are only confirming even further their reign of terror on the people. We the Popular Party have to protect the people form this, we must denounce their actions." She responds…
Previously in Inventor tales,
Nepgear, IF, Compa, RED, 5Pb., Obsidian and Bethesda went to the underverse, a geothermal station located on the volcano in the south of Leanbox in objective to retrieve the mascot for powering up the Candidate but it was melted by a lava leviathan that had to be killed. When they went back to Leanbox city, a violent riot happened there counting a high number of civilians deaths, something that was a spark in a gunpowder barrel…
Chika, Bethesda, Cave and Obsidian are in a meeting room, a staff broadcast on a video projector the speech of the political opposition made after the riot, the video starts up showing a golden haired woman with a pair of green eyes wearing a typical politician suit, there is multiples microphones on a table under her, she takes a breath and speaks up
"Today is a day of infamy, the Leanboxian police used a whole new level of violence on the people they are supposed to protect. According to the police, it was due to a panic caused by some armed protesters that attempted to shot them, yet, they also killed some unarmed ones. In name of the Leanboxian justice, we ask for official apologizes of the government towards the family of the victims and reparation towards them." She says
"Of course, I'm not defending the behaviors of the protesters that were armed, in some way or the other. I am simply pointing out on how unqualified is the police of this country, its sure that it would be more useful to spend less on a military that can't even do a lot against pirates. This is everything I had to says in the name of the People Party of Leanbox." And she finishes her speech
"The People Party uh?"
"That sound like a syndicalist party."
"No its not. Its sure left winged but they have nothing to do with them as we know."
"But firstly, how citizens were armed? Aren't weapon banned in Leanbox unless in some specific conditions?"
"They are. That mean that someone must have gave weapons to them."
"We heard In the radio that the weapon stock pile of the guild got stolen tough. Maybe we should ask questions to the person that was supposed to guard them."
"You think he have something to do with all of this?"
"Probably. Maybe some people gave the stolen guns to the protesters, we must first know if the firearms used by the protesters were form the stockpile of the guild.
"Okay. Then we must split up. Cave and Bethesda, you are going to the police station and ask about the model of the weapons used. Obsidian and me are going to the storage and try to find the person who were guarding it that night. We are gonna compare the guns used in the protest with the one missing, if they are identical then no doubt possible."
"Affirmative." Cave responds and immediately departs form the room, Bethesda leaving with her
Chika and Obsidian goes to the elevator, she press the button to go to the storage room
"Anyway, while we are here… I will have a new project to handle to you and Betty." Chika says
"What's that about?" Asks Obsdian
"Well about the fact that managed to put railguns on a battleship."
"Oh about that. You want to do the same, we not longer have active ships of that size to house a railgun that powerful."
"Actually we have one, the museum ship: the HGS Gheytz."
"That great eastern war ship?"
"Yeah, we need to refit it. With the new weapons this type of warship might have a comeback."
"Well… logic the main reason why battleships got stopped being used is due to their range, back then the max range of the guns was around 40km but with heavy railguns instead it could go over 200km, it would be 5x longer form what I know."
"Exactly, if the ASIC got a technological advance on this then we must immediately catch up with them. But not only with railguns but also with other things that their battleship is equipped with. Like a shockwave generator."
"That's impossible. You can't generate a shock wave on boat."
"According to the crew of the destroyer that fought it, it was equipped with one, maybe he was a bit fantasist, it wouldn't surprise me form him."
"Neither I am. Its probably something that generate a wave that can disrupt missiles, or even people but it can't be a shock wave."
Ding
"Here we are. We will re-talk about it later." Chika says
They both step out of the elevator and walk towards the corridor.
On the same moment, the guard is sitting on chair while reading a manga, he hears some footsteps coming towards him, he looks to see the oracle and a scientist.
"Hello David. We need to know which weapons got stolen form the warehouse.
"Uh? Sure madam." He says and then get up of his chair, he checks the drawers under his desk "Uh..." He continue checking in for a few minutes "I think I lost it."
"You lost it?"
"Then give us the list of weapons of the storage the day before the weapons got stolen."
"Okay." He check on his desk computer and select a file of a writer type document listing the weapons
"Mind you can print it?"
David turns on the printer and prints the documents, there is 6 pages of the equipment listed in it
"Read it. I'm gonna text the others. To see where they are with their search." Chika says while getting her phone and text to Cave
At the same moment, Bethesda and Cave were heading to the police station, they pass over the area that still had the wounds of the violence that happened earlier on the buildings but it seems that the blood on the road vanished
"Look like it happened here." Bethesda says
"It did." Responds Cave
Shortly after Cave picks up her phone, she see a text form Chika asking where they are, she responds to it that they are not very far form there
They walk pass the area and reach the police department, they head inside of it. Its pretty busy inside, not really surprising with context. The two makers head for the reception, a woman is behind the desk
"Can I help you?" The receptionist asks
"I'm agent form the RroD and he is form the Guild we request the list of weapon that have been confiscated form the protesters." Cave responds
"Um, I will call the responsible of this, wait for a few moment. Can I have your ID by the way."
They both put their ID's cards on the desk, the receptionist look at them and give them back. She then get a desk phone.
"Magret, some important people want to see you." She says, she listen on for a few seconds and then ends the call "Go at the waiting room. The inspector is going to see you." She then says to the makers
The makers does as she told leaving her to the office. Until another person call her with the phone
"Leanboxian Police Department, whats your emergency?" She pauses and listen to the complaint "Uh? What do you mean people are playing music too loudly? That illegal people can't do that." She ends the call and returns to what she was doing
Cave sit down in the waiting room, Bethesda sit down next to her. They wait for a few minutes in silence before Bethesda speaks up
"So who replaced Bungie in the RRoD?"
"303."
"Oh, her. Is she still a pain in the ass since she finished her military service?"
"I never had problems with her, unlike you." She responds while pulling a smug face on him
Bethesda laughs "Ha! Yeah, I'm almost nostalgic form that era. Aren't you?"
"If you compare that to now, then its easy to say yes."
"I remember that you couldn't even run over 2 kilometer. Good thing that you had your aimbot."
"Yeah, and you took a while before realizing it."
"Well logic, no bullet can hit me, I knew during that simulation you had something weird with your aiming."
"I wonder what happened to the other members of our company."
"Most of them are fine don't worry, expect Akella."
"What happened to her?"
Cave sighs "She got killed by a car accident last year."
"...Oh."
"...Sorry."
"That's fine. That's incredible how we are supposed to be like some kind of super humans but we can still die of things like this." Bethesda comments
"Do I have to remind you how you got into all of this?" Cave responds
"No need to. It was my fault because I lost my cool… Now I wonder what would have happened if I didn't do that night."
"About the killing you did?"
"Yeah, maybe I wouldn't have problems, I would have a quiet life."
"...Are you regretting what you did? That unusual of you."
"Well I remember that you used to tell me to not rush into a battle without knowing my enemies. I didn't realize that it implies to everything on everyday life."
"I just really meant in battle, but that does make sense."
"Do you watch videos about alternate histories?"
"I watched one sometimes ago, why?"
"Well something that it often pointed out in this kind of things is that how impact-full an event that can seem pretty trivial can heavily influence history itself, maybe if I didn't shot up that warehouse then the whole history of Gamindustri would have changed."
"Maybe."
A man enters the waiting room, he his around 1,80m and have a very short gray hair and also a morse mustache and a pair of glasses, he wears a typical inspector uniform?
Yeah i think its an inspector.
"Hello, I'm Magret Holms the head inspector of the Leanboxian police, you are sent here by the guild and the military I suppose." He says
"We are sent by official for sure, but we need a very important information..." Cave says
[Later…]
"So we got a small list of the confiscated material." The inspector says as he pick up the list "Its a bit long so I will let you check on it." He handle the paper to Cave, Bethesda lean on her side to see it
"Call Chika." Cave says
Bethesda immediately do so as he get his phone
On the other side of the device, Chika patiently holds the phone
"So, you got there?" She asks
"Yeah, we got the list of the confiscated material." Bethesda responds
"Can you send a pic of it?"
Bethesda sends a picture of the list, there is mainly hand guns as used in the protest but also a few rifle and grenades
"I see… 13 6's." Chika says "What does that stand for?"
"Leanboxian Arsenal Hand Firearms Model 6. A standard hand gun made and used in the military since 2001." David responds
"Thanks I forgot… on the list of equipment, its written that there is 24 of this model of weapon, we need to check if there still left in the box."
"Got it." Obsidian immediately get outside of the room and searches trough the storage room, he find after a few minutes a crate with written on them the name of the gun
Obsidian opens it to see inside…
Its fully empty
He grabs it and bring it to the guard room and drop it in front of the guard and the oracle
"They visibly took all of them." Obsidian says
"Okay." Chika says and get back to her phone "Bethesda, Cave, get back to the Basilicom. No doubts, they must be the same weapons."
[Later…]
They regrouped back to the meeting room
"So, the guns that have been used in the protest were the same one that got stolen, no way this can't be it. If there is none left in the storage then that mean they didn't gave all the guns to the protesters."
"Maybe they are keeping it for another protest?"
"That's probably the case. We must quickly find the people who stole the weapons then."
"You asked to see me?" Corvidae enters the room
"Yes."
"You are also on the case?"
"Actually I asked him to take case of the stolen weapons the moment I knew that weapons got stolen but we have to imply more personnel into it."
"So… What now?"
"We should attempt to do a search at the popular party members house to be sure if they are not involved, at the same time we should do some analysis to see if the guns theft are form Leanbox. You two are gonna take care of that. We will continue the investigation."
"Okay." Bethesda get up of his chair and starts to leave the room
"I think I should go with him." Obsidian says and follows him shortly after he left
"Hey." Cave says
Obsidian stops and turns back, Cave throws a confiscated 6 at him, he hardly but manages to catches it
"Thanks" he says and leaves the room.
[Meanwhile…]
GAMINDUSTRI GRAVEYARD
ASIC HEADQUARTERS
A phone rings on the table, Magic get it and answer it.
"Lady, we made the situation worse at Leanbox."
"Yes, I know I seen the news, good job about that its only a mater of time until my plan realize. Anyway get back to Graveyard, I have another task for you."
"Roger. We will be there quick as possible."
Magic ends the call and chuckles, she knows about what about to happen to Leanbox, but she quickly get back on focus, she got other things to do… She grabs a document on her desk that she got earlier in the day, she reads it for a moment and then leaves the room, she get on the top of the headquarters and take off the ground, she then dives down while heading for the south
[Meanwhile.]

Bay is holding a small glass of rum in his hand, he slowly drink the substance. Taking his time to let his brain enjoy the sensation of the ingestion. The Admiral of the ASIC is currently in a Pub near the docks, he groans after swallowing the liquid and then take a breath.
"I see that you still have your rum addiction." A familiar voice says coming form behind him
He turns back to the Magic, his eyes widens, he attempt to focus to speak in a somewhat coherent ways
"Heh heh. Salutation grand leader, why you came to see m-*HIPS*-e for?" He says
Magic slams a document on the bar table next to the admiral
Bay blench in a mix of surprise and fear
"Explain that." Magic asks menacingly
Bay get the document and starts to read it, it is a maintenance report that date of today about a total revision of the dreadnought
"And?" He asks
"Look more." Magic responds
He reads down and see that there was no default on the ship outside of some minor electrical problems
"That's great."
"Exactly, that amazing. And now tell me… You told me that the doors were malfunctioning right?" Magic questions
A sparks suddenly go trough the mind of the admiral which is quite impressive with the amount of volume of alcohol there is in rum usually
Magic looks at the glass that he is holding on the other hand "...By the way how many glass of rum you drank this time?" She asks
He doesn't responds for a few minute, he should have doubted that Magic would verify what really happened but he in fact didn't, being good at leading a pirate fleet doesn't forcefully make you a mastermind.
"…So that come?" Magic asks
"Give me a minute so I can get less drunk."
[20 minutes later.]
Magic looks at Bay in a mildly infuriated way while tapping the table with her finger tips
Bay is just looking at the document that he placed on the table in a focused way until he finally sighs and resign to what he done back then
"Actually, one of them somehow managed to kill the guard that had for task to lock them up." He sighs "...I sent marines to solve this up but she killed them."
"Continue."
"...And then she got the inventor out of the room and they got to the engine room and threatened to blow it up with grenades. I had no choice but to let them go. I didn't want to pass as a fool for being blackmailed."
"...I'm very disappointed, not only because you let them escape even tough you had numerical advantage but also because you lied. And such for a ridiculous reason. I wouldn't have done anything if you told me the truth but now I have to sanction you."
The admiral gulps "What will happen to me?"
"Nothing very bad but I will remove you the command of the fleet until further notice." She take the document form the hand of Bay and starts to walk in the direction of the exit "It will teach you to not report false information and me to not engage pirates as admiral."
Magic exit the Pub, its the evening and soon the night the city is quite quiet as usual, she takes off and get to the Gamindustri Graveyard back to her headquarter, she quickly flies over the captured CPU's who are still tangled…
Purple Heart looks up, her processor is damaged but conveniently enough to not reveal some of her privates, same for the other CPU's that are here "How many weeks... No, months since I have been here." She wonders, not longer being able to tell, the only thing that can indicate time is the crimson skies over them. She looks at the other goddesses, she turns to Green Heart who seem more worried then usual
"You seem more pensive then usual Vert." She says to her
"...I have a bad feeling about what's happening in my country."
"I had the same thought years ago. And so did Gearsy" She responds
"Same for me… I'm not sure I can let Rom and Ram handle all of this. I hope my oracle didn't do it."
"You don't trust your sisters? Mine can perfectly handle these kind of situation!" Black heart responds proudly
Green heart looks both at White Heart and Black Heart in silence before speaking up "Unfortunately I only have Chika. I wonder how she is going."
"We would have big problems if the strongest nation military speaking would collapse." Purple heart responds
Black heart disapprovingly looks at Purple heart "Military speaking" That's debatable." Black heart responds
Green heart sighs and then smirks "My hopes are upon you. Chika." As she looks up in the skies in direction of the moon that have a reddish look due to the strange atmosphere of the graveyard
At the same moment Chika read some reports about the DNA search of the weapon thieves in her office, she looks up at the full moon and sighs before getting up and leaving the room
She knows in deep of her that situations like these happened before in her country after all and got under control so Leanbox could continue to shine, but now its her turn to handle it the fact
That Leanbox was already going trough dire times but its going to be even worse form now...
Inventor tale volume 7: The Leanboxian Crisis
Keep y'all waiting uh?
Yeah this chapter was supposed to be released earlier in the month but i decided that since it was a new volume to make a new thumbnail, for the simple reason that i found that the previous one was pretty bad to be honest and since i got a better stuff for drawing to replace GIMP (Its a good software but not for drawing) i really wanted to make a new one.
The problem is that i had to adapt to it and the art itself was dificult to make for my level so it tooks some weeks.
I also have news projects in my head, one fanfic for RWBY that takes place after the volume 8 and a totally original manga/webcomic i tought about and i started to write and make some chara designs about it. But i'm gonna finish this fanfic before giving further information about them
