the truth revealed
Steve and his team investigate drug trafficking that targeted Hawaiian high schools. At first glance, big shots were using teenagers to sell drugs to the saint of high schools.
"Steve? Chin called. "You should come see this."
Steve left his office to join the man in front of the central computer.
"These are anonymous images that were sent to me. There are several young dealers in them. But something else caught my attention."
"It's Nahélé?" observed Steve.
"Yes, I also recognized him, he has nothing to do with the dealers, he does not use drugs".
"When was this evening?" asked Steve.
"Looks like it was Saturday, a month ago. Video shows it was past two in the morning. You allow Nahélé to have a curfew so late? »
"Of course not. It was his friend Tony's party." Nahélé was punished, he went out on the sly, I'm going to kill him! »
"Ouch." Chin said.
"Absolutely. Can you send me a copy of this video to my phone?" »
"It's already done boss."
Steve picked up Léa at school.
"Dad, look, I made you a nice bracelet."
"Thank you sweetie." He said as the child tied the Brazilian bracelet to his wrist.
"Ain't you bringing me your report today? Are you trying to bribe me?" he said teasingly.
"Yes dad, I did. You said you wouldn't get mad if I did my best."
"I remember. You went through a lot of hard stuff and I'll give you time to find balance and normal life, but I still want an effort."
" Yes sir ".
Arriving home, Steve served the little girl a snack before reaching out.
"Give it. Stop procrastinating".
"You're not going to spank me, you said so."
"Is that so bad? Do you think you deserve a spanking?" »
Lea put the note sheet in Steve's hand.
He read the notes and comments slowly and carefully.
"There were a lot of C's and D's, but that wasn't the most important. The comments however drove the man crazy. Lea can do better but lets herself live. No effort. Homework not done. Lea doesn't speak except to be cheeky or answer me. Lea is smart, but would rather use her brain to make up nonsense than her studies."
Steve read the notes and comments aloud. Leaving the little girl in front of him to squirm.
He pulled out a chair and sat down, placing the little girl in front of him.
"Look at me," he said. When she looked up, he continued.
"I'm pretty crazy. Not really your notes, more of the accompanying comments."
" I know ".
"You know me well enough to know how I react, since you expect a spanking."
" Yes sir ".
"Tell me your version, do you agree with what is written? Did you answer your mistress? Did you mess up in school instead of studying?" the man asked sternly.
"Yes sir". Lea said honestly. There was no way she was adding a lie to her bad behavior at school.
"Thank you for telling me the truth, I appreciate it. I told you I won't spank you. I'm a man of my word so your butt is saved for this time."
" Thank you dad ".
"However, this behavior stops now.
I think you misunderstood my words if you thought that such behavior would not be punished.
Your past can't be an excuse for bad behavior, I wouldn't accept it.
It's true and I maintain that I will be lenient on your grades, if you work and do your best. It's not your grades that bother me, it's the behavior that goes with it.
You are therefore punished with one week. No TV, no friend. And you're gonna stay in your room this weekend doing your homework. I want to see your study sheets every day and you will do your homework in front of me..I will ask you for a report on your work and behavior every weekend until you straighten slightest disobedience, disrespect where answer your mistress and it will be a trip on my knee. I promise you a good bare ass spanking for every transgression reported to me. Am I perfectly clear? »
"Yes dad. I'm sorry. I'll do better."
"Okay. I'm holding you to that promise." Steve picked up a pen, wrote a long note on the sheet before signing it and giving it back to the little girl.
" I love you Lea. It's my job as dad to lay down the law, scold you and punish you. Give me a hug and go to your room."
"Yes dad. I love you too".
Steve's phone rang.
"Dad? The voice of the terrified child was heard.
"Nahélé? What's going on? Calm down. Where are you?" ".
"I'm at daddy stage. Some guys assaulted Tony! I don't know why. He's breathing but he's in bad shape."
" I'm coming very soon ". Steve hung up.
"Lea? Come on, let's clook for your brother".
" Hello ? Chin ? Steve explained what had happened. "Send an ambulance to the scene."
"Yes Steve".
"Call the team. I think it's related to the drug trade. Tell Kono that I need her to pick up Lea when we arrive. I had to bring her. I couldn't leave alone ".
"I'll take care of it chief."
When Steve arrived on the spot Nahélé threw herself into his arms.
" Dad !"
" What happened ? They beat you? »
"No. When I joined Tony here, they were beating him up. I yelled that my dad was a cop and they ran off like rabbits, leaving Tony."
"You should have called us, didn't rush your head back, they could have beaten you or shot you. I want you to always act like the attacker was armed."
"I understand Dad, but this went by so fast!" »
" I know. Have you seen them? Do you know them from high school or parties?"
"Better than that, I took a picture of them. They didn't notice me until I yelled at them. I don't think they had a gun and I knew a picture would be ideal for you."
"Your friend Tony will be fine. He took quite a beating, but his life is not in danger." Inform Danny.
"Okay. Let's go to the office." Chin? Look what you can find on the security cameras in the park."
"I'll take care of it chief".
Steve had put Lea on his desk to draw a picture.
As he was talking to Nahélé in the main room with the team. He wanted to see if the boy would tell him about the evening at his friend Tony's.
"A gang of young people are selling drugs in the nearby high school, we've been on this case for a while. Did you know his guys?" »
"I've seen them before in high school and other places."
"It's about Lorenzi Marcado, Enzo Gomez and Ali Benassan." Chin informed. "Facial recognition positively identified them from the park camera and the photo that Nahélé took. They were at the party."
"What parties?" Nahélé asked.
"Pass the Chin video please." Steve ordered.
The video played on the big screen as the boy turned as white as an aspirin tablet.
"Your friend Tony's party. Last month. The one you haven't been to since you got punished, that must have been your lookalike in the back. It seems we all have a lookalike somewhere. The yours was at your friend's party." says Steve.
"Stop daddy. You know it was me." Confessed the child.
"You mean you disobeyed me while you were being punished? Confined to your room?" and after I received my belt at the mall a few days before? »
Nahélé has changed color to a deep red.
"I'm sorry dad." The child looked at the ground.
"Are you sorry? Your conscience didn't bother you to tell me? For a month? I half want to bend you over this desk, pull your pants down and give you a good belt in front of everyone !"
"Steve" Danny said. "Calm down. Don't do something you regret because you're angry."
"Look at me Nahélé"! Steve raised his voice, he rarely did.
Nahélé was crying softly.
"Go to Dany's office and find a corner. You're lucky I'm way too angry to punish you right now. But you can believe me that tonight we are going to have a very long talk! »
Nahélé was no way he would defy his father any further.
Lea walks through the door of her father's office.
"Dad, why are you screaming? »
"I told you to sit at my desk Lea!" the man growled.
Lea hurriedly obeyed.
"Steve, you need to calm down. Go for a run. I'll take your kids home."
"We have to go and interrogate Tony."
"I'm going to go," Kono said.
" Dany ? Why do children disobey to drive their parents crazy? »
"Oh, that's a big superman question. It's part of the parenting package. Kids get upset and you have to punish, that's in the order of things."
"Yes well his children are going to make me go bald!" »
Danny burst out laughing.
"You're right; what did Lea do to drive you crazy?" »
Steve explained it.
"That's weird. The mistress let her behavior escalate to this point without any grades before her report card? I doubt it. Didn't Lea hide the grades from you?" »
"You're right. I didn't think of that. Do you think she would think to hide them? Eight years old? Is that old enough to do something like that?"
"I'm pretty sure. Confront it."
"I'm going to run. Thank you Dany for bringing them home."
"I manage your children. Don't worry and calm down."
"Thank you Danny".
