So, an update guys before I get into the chapter. I need outside opinions on what I should make some of the places like Midguard and the Nine Realms/Olympus/Cradle of The First Egypt/etc. and what they should look like in terms of staying true to the lore of these realms of the Gods. When they come up in the story while at the same time adding my own take on them.

I already have an idea of the feel of them, but not what style their character should be like.

So, if you guys have any input leave a comment to let me know.

Also, I need an opinion on what his fight with Thor should be like, even though I will probably show it in the next few chapters, it depends on how long it takes to get some input. I want it to feel accurate to the mythology, because Thor may be brutal in this story, but he shares a love for his own and just wants to protect them, despite his need for a decent battle.

But on the other note he feels challenged by Optimus which I will explain in this chapter and later on.

Still though, he's a Norse Deity, so he can be terrifying at times especially since he has a berserker state.

Also, he hates Jotunn of all types because it is the fact, they are so destructive to each other throughout history, which if I'm being perfectly honest some of that ill-will in some cases was earned for a good reason in their realms you just have to look back at the mythology to realize how brutal those giant stories were. Not to mention Greek mythology with all the titans and cyclops's but that is another topic.

TFA: Deals with our devils

Chapter 17: Tensions Flare

Yesterday.

The group of autobots decided to take the feather, bone sliver, and the piece of glass with them as they neared the clearing up ahead after some time of tracking by the stream when they instantly stiffened up. Standing just up ahead was Grimmlock with his compatriots Snarl, and Swoop so they knew they needed to proceed with caution.

But if anything, they looked shaken. Like they saw something that gave them the creeps as they sat there starring at the forest.

Sensing movement on his right Grimmlock turned his head to the side looking at them.

They instantly stiffened and were prepared to fight if need be.

Letting out a sigh, and taking the initiative, Wratchet decided to reveal where they were hiding as to not cause a fight.

He slowly walked out of the bushes and trees with his hands up indicating he didn't want a fight.

It looked like Sentinel was about to say something only for Ultra Magnus to hold up his hand stopping him. Then after a few moments they followed him who were eager for some answers.

Something told him that they weren't looking for a fight.

Today.

Ultra Magnus, Jazz, and Sentinel were in the autobot base thinking about yesterday's events. Everything they learned was stressful, and more than that, it was, "disturbing", to say the least.

Currently though, they were off to the side of the monitors eagerly awaiting on news of any alerts to take their minds off of the whole situation.

Professor Isaac Sumdack was briefed on recent events, albeit some details were kept out of the picture for his own good. Who would want to learn such things?

Then there's the fact that the decepticons were keeping quiet, which didn't bode well given their history and the fact that they still haven't retrieved any allspark fragments that the space bridge repair crew broke in the first place, which Sentinel was more than happy to bring up albeit grudgingly.

Combined with the fact that there was a lot of surprising lore out there on this blue planet throughout the ages. It makes you wonder how much more there was on other planets with their own civilizations.

As they were viewing the files Sentinel, "who was obviously freaking out", was arguing with Ultra Magnus and sentinel about how they were even going to approach optimus in his current state.

"Sentinel, bro, we need to at least try to find a way to help him"! Jazz argued only for Sentinel to cut in a moment later.

"How in the name of frag do you suppose we do that"! He demanded suddenly as Wratchet and Prowl looked up from their files and gave him a look that indicated they were irritated by his attitude. Which they were still reading on demonology and making deals with demons, that was pretty creepy stuff to be honest.

"Unless if you have been hiding under a rock for all the time since we arrived", "he's not only slaughtered Blitzwing and fed on him like he was a piece of energon"! "He also apparently made some sort of deal with some kind of evil entity that completely changed his character"! "Did you not see the look in his eye's the last time we saw him, he had eye's, not optics for crying out loud"! Not to mention the fire power he's displayed on the island we went to"! "Then there's the fact that he blew megatron sky high"! "What makes you think that he will even listen to us at this point".

Jazz just felt utterly betrayed that Sentinel would view his former friend like that.

"What are you saying"? "That we should just give up on him"?

"He's your friend, that's not cool bro"!

At this point Sari, bulkhead and Bumblebee were having a look on their face and faceplates that said, "Un-cool", towards Sentinels behavior and shouting, which was getting irritating to say the least.

Sentinel looked down at the ground while making a fist at jazz's comment, which was noticed by Ultra Magnus who was starting to worry about his successor's growing anger.

"Lets just get one thing straight here"! Sentinel snapped startling his underling as he did. "He was never Elite Guard material, and he's not my friend with everything that's happened". "NOT TO MENTION HE ALSO THREATENED ALPHA TRION, AND LEFT OUR FRIEND BEHIND ON ARRACHNA-7 TO DIE"!

He was practically screaming the last part to Jazz who stood there shaken that Sentinel would view the someone like his former friend in such a manner.

Now it was jazz's turn to be angry in front of the stunned crowd that surrounded them.

"EVERYONES HEARD THE STORIES BACK AT THE ACCADAMY, SENTINAL"! He suddenly snapped mustering up the courage to do so.

Sentinel flinched back not knowing what he meant by that.

"W…. WHAT STORIES"! He demanded while stuttering.

Everyone was listening intently now; in fact, the tension could be cut with a knife cause how thin it was.

Jazz just starred at him with a glare of his own that made prowl and Wratchet rub the backs of their neck joints uncomfortably due to the whole situation.

"HE'S RELLY GOING TO MAKE ME SAY IT, ISNT HE"! Jazz practically screamed in his servo's.

Ultra magnus was paying close attention to the whole exchange with interest to what jazz meant by that.

"WELL, FIRST OF ALL, THE RUMORS SAY THAT IT WASN'T EVEN HIS IDEA TO GO DOWN THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE, IT WAS YOURS AND ELITAS WHO BIT OFF MORE THAN YOU COULD CHEW IN TERMS OF SALVAGE AND SPIDERS"!

Sentinel was stunned by this revelation, but not as much as Ultra Magnus which was news to him.

"OH, AND THAT'S NOT ALL"! Jazz continued to shout.

"ACCORDING TO THE STORIES AND RUMORS, HE VERBILLY WARNED YOU TWO IT WAS A BAD IDEA TO BEGIN WITH", "BUT DID TWO BIG-SHOTS LIKE YOU WHO WERE EAGER TO SET UP YOUR CARREERS LISTEN TO THAT WARNING, HUH, DID YOU"!

"AND TO TOP IT OFF WHEN THINGS WENT BAD YOU PINNED ALL THE BLAME ON HIM, AND LOOK WHAT HAPPENED AS A RESULT!

"SO, IF YOU WISH TO BLAME SOMEONE LOOK IN THE MIRROR FOR ONCE INSTEAD OF TAKING IT OUT ON SOMEONE ELSE, BRO"!

Sentinel was shocked by that little revelation as was Ultra Magnus who was looking at sentinel with a bit of hurt on his features now.

"Sentinel". "Are these accusations true"! Ultra Magnus suddenly demanded from his subordinate realizing that they could have avoided this catastrophe if they learned about it sooner and would have spared the Elite Guard some discontent among their ranks that was apparently there if they had.

Especially during Optimus's trial that ended his career and humiliated him so.

Sentinel didn't look up as he lowered his head slightly ashamed now, then after a minute of silence he spoke.

"….. yes…. It's all true". "Optimus didn't want to be there, he only wanted to keep us safe". He said in defeat. "And more than that, I get the feeling he and elita-1, were secretly in love with each other, especially on Optimus's part".

After a moment Ultra magnus let out a gruff of disapproval that was picked up by the others in the room, before shaking his head while lowering his own head and walked over to the bench and sat down with a light, "thud", that was heard from across the room before looking down at his hammer at his side with a look on his faceplate that they didn't recognize other than a deep regret.

After a moment of silence, he spoke in a low, calm voice.

"Looking back now I wonder if I should have told him". He muttered to a confused autobots and sari.

"I'm going to tell you all something I should have revealed to him ages ago", "given all he's lost".

This drew some worrying glances from Sari, Bumblebee, Bulkhead, Wratchet and Prowl who were off to the sides listening intently.

Not to mention Jazz who still was a bit upset over the disrespect that Sentinel showed for his former comrade.

Then, he started his story about the femme that was found in her bar on cybertron all those stellar cycles ago which turned into a long explanation before they knew it.

How will they react to his bloody history, how will he react when he finds out?

But I'm saving that till another time, oh and spoiler alert it will include time travel when I get there.
