Chapter 21: Saving Steven
Date: January 1st, 2023
In the last chapter, the members of Miitopia BRAINS held a New Years party. It was interrupted by Carlos telling everyone that there's trouble in the universe of Steven Universe. Swiftdrawer goes there by themselves alone and is soon joined up by Strag, Freep, Subaru, Dravise, Maya, Poi Poi, Asuka, Aporia, and Austin. The ground shakes violently after Pmurt Nedib met Steven Universe and corrupted him with 2 number cards. They are determined to investigate the cause and had to destroy many falling rocks when a bunch of creatures with the Novelww logo on them appeared and attacked. They were held up for hours fighting them. Swiftdrawer met the main Crystal Gems, protectors of Earth before fighting Yappa Yappa after fusing with their 6 most trusted artist monsters because he has come to kill everyone. After a long fight, Yappa Yappa deflected an attack of Swiftdrawer's they did before defusing. It did devastating damage. After that, Pmurt Nedib came to supposedly congratulate Yappa Yappa before revealing his intent to kill him for being a traitor. Yappa Yappa healed Swiftdrawer with a curse derived from the power of a piece of the Shadow which Yappa Yappa stole from Pmurt Nedib. When Yappa Yappa was easily killed after telling Swiftdrawer to help him kill Pmurt Nedib, Swiftdrawer should have died too because of the curse but didn't. They held onto life stubbornly after secretly eating an HP banana. Pmurt Nedib leaves them with a cryptic warning. Austin saves Swiftdrawer from death and moves back away as Swiftdrawer fell into despair that caused them to go wild. Eventually, they rescued some people like Connie and her family(who then rescued them) before and after Aporia calmed them down. They used their new daggers, fists, and Chaos Wolg to take down a lot of creatures. Connie's father drove them to the area where everyone in town was being protected. But after a few minutes of taking down more creatures, Pmurt Nedib appeared and revealed what he has done to Steven. Now, Pmurt Nedib has full control over Steven's corrupted pink dragon body. Amethyst is sent off to get more help and the fight now begins.
Meanwhile at Don Thousand's castle which still stands even after Astral and Barian World were merged* Don Thousand sits on his throne with someone standing before him with a sadistic grin: "We meet at last, Yappa Yappa. It's nice to finally meet you." "How am I alive? Pmurt Nedib killed me and even ripped my body apart! I will make him scream in agony and squirm as I cut him in places that even I don't know exist! Who are you?" "Did you not record the memories you had from the Shadow? I am Don Thousand, the Barian God. I seek revenge against Astral and that human child, Yuma. My forces haven't been able to win because of them and their allies. My seven former Barian Emperors. The one of Photon. And more. I have return you from the dead and granted you a new body. Your new body flows with the power of Barian. Come, Yappa Yappa, join me. I have been betrayed far too many times to even consider you as an underling. My servants have all failed me. You're going to help usher in a new age together with me if you choose to join me." "You brought me back but why should I join you?" "I have a plan to grow you strong enough to kill Pmurt Nedib and begin your plans with your homeworld and the United Mining Company. I have also found a human who might be of great interest to you. Show yourself, Roget." Former leader of Sector Security in the Synchro Dimension, Roget appears. But he looks different from normal. He resembles a humanoid scorpion with black and dark blue skin, a twisted version of his fancy French like ash blonde hair, and his green eyes standing out more than ever. "Greetings Yappa Yappa. I am the former Director Of Sector Security in the Synchro Dimension, Jean-Michael Roget. Those Lancers ruined all of my plans and I ended up here after accidentally sending myself away."
"Lancers huh? You look willing to hurt anyone who stands in your way! How entertaining and exciting!" From then on, Yappa Yappa joined with Don Thousand and Roget to plot revenge. They would plot in the shadows, waiting for Pmurt Nedib's downfall to begin before striking. They also planned to take over the Fusion and Synchro dimensions. *Back to Swiftdrawer* Pmurt Nedib laughs: "You're right to be cautious but it won't be enough! You forced my hand and I intend to exterminate all of you for that! All these months of failure and humiliation will be nothing! Soon, I will control the richest corporation to ever exist! My company will control everything from Homeworld to Twisted Land to Miitopia to Ninjago! You'll all be dead and then I'll revive you as my mindless undead slaves! I am done putting on a act of professionalism and business! They have hidden what I really feel for so long! I think I'll start killing all of you right now! I have no patience for a long drawn out fight! I am sick of all of these failures! My employees are incompetent slobs who can't even get a few simple missions done right! I could have easily taken over that jungle world but no, the people rose up against my pathetic inferior employees and outside interference took place! Can you know what it's like to have everything you plan go to waste because it failed? I don't want to live in the same reality as all of you deviants, groomers, and freaks! I will make the greatest American Empire ever! In my world, I have killed all opposition and taken over the world! It was so easy because I did it myself! My employees are going to regret not being good enough for what I want! Power, control, money, rule! All wonderful things that only those who deserve to rule should value! Power is everything! God Bless America except I'm the god so I bless America!"
"Damn you! People like you deserve to be isolated and deprived of everything that feeds your greed! You disgust me, you vile bastard." "I was hoping you'd say something like that because I want those to be among the last words before I kill you! You will die and I can't wait to use all of that strength you possess to destroy everything that opposes me and my Manifest Destiny! Shield Crush!" He manifests Steven's rose energy shield and taints it with malevolent energy before throwing it at me. Crap. It's moving far too fast for anyone to counter it. As I try to move out of the way, I realize that my fear is leaving me stuck in place. I'm going to die. This is the end. Without this body, I'm not going to be able to defend myself very well anywhere despite the sword training I began in my other body! Damn it all. I brace for the impact while letting out the loudest scream I have ever done in my life in any universe. However, I feel something lift me off the ground and out of the attack's range: "H-Herbsalvin? What are you doing here?!" "Young knight, you forgot to bring me along with you. I couldn't just let you come here without me so I followed you here." "Thank you. You saved my life." "And you saved me from loneliness and Miitopia from peril multiple times." "It's so good to see you, I'm so sorry I didn't bring you with me." "You don't need to be sorry. It was a mistake, a mistake that didn't cost you your life." "But Herbsalvin.. With my sword, shield, and armor almost ready to break from just a few more uses, I'm worried. I feel almost powerless without them or my artist comrades to utilize to aid me. My sword lets me do things I just can't without it." "Do not worry about that, Adam, my young knight friend. I'm too fast for Pmurt Nedib to attack me for now. I brought you something that will help. After I insisted on coming here myself, our friends back at base insisted I bring something in case your gear gets broken. It's inside the saddle you equipped onto me."
I feel around the saddle's pocket which I somehow didn't even know was there until now. Inside, I find a blue liquid with magical sparks coming out of it in one of Dominic's beakers. For the next 2 minutes, I apply it to my gear carefully after Herbsalvin lands far from the battle and I get off of them for now. Once I'm finished, the liquid is all used up and I happen to read something stuck to the beaker: "Upon using up the liquid inside, smash this beaker to pieces. A surprise will happen." I follow the instructions and throw the beaker as hard as I can. A small crater is formed from this as the sound of glass shattering echoes throughout where we are now: a mountain range so far from the battle that I can't even see anyone involved in it from here. And then, a beam of rainbow light comes out from the crater. Is that supposed to be a signal or homing beacon? And then, out of the rainbow lights comes a lot of familiar individuals. Dominic opens a wormhole to come to Herbsalvin and I: "What a causation to want a nap. I was right. I bet that you would need that liquid." Bray appears next: "And I shall remind you that I was right about the situation being much worse than we thought." "Everyone.. What are you doing here?" "Large amounts of intense malevolent energy is hard to ignore. All I wanted was a nap before we began the secret mission to subvert Nazis in Greenhorne." "We made a special gear repairing elixir in secret while you were undergoing the trials to become a knight. I'm intrigued at how well it worked. We noticed that communications wouldn't work when trying to check in on you. I sensed your troubled state earlier." "This is the best surprise ever. We could use as much help as we can get." "We know. That link you share with Blaze allowed them to pass the information to us." "That makes it so much easier. Let's just go."
I put on my armor again and equip my shield before pulling out my sword. So with that, Herbsalvin took me back to the battle but I insisted on staying on them for now. "Hey, Herbsalvin. Let's be a little bit of a distraction for a while if that's okay with you." "That's a fine idea. It'll allow our comrades to better attack and defend. When do you want to stop doing so?" "When he gets tired of us doing it and tries to knock us right out of the sky. I want him dead but I know that I can't right now. He's fused with Steven. At this point, it's safe to say that we need to wait until we free Steven before he can be killed. I don't want to kill someone who is a hero just to kill someone who is a tyrant. I really don't want to do that. We might as well try to break Steven free while we're being annoying. If that somehow succeeds and foils Pmurt Nedib's plans, I will reclaim the honor I lost for going insane earlier. I have to make up for the way I disgraced what I have earned. I became a knight to grow stronger, meet more comrades, and earn something that means a lot to me. Becoming a knight is something special to me." "I understand and will go with your plan completely. I can even use my neural power to get both of us mentally through to Steven. Are you ready? My flying is going to get really rough." "I am ready, Herbsalvin, my pegasus friend." "Good. Hang on tight!" They accelerate higher into the air and begin circling around to where Pmurt Nedib can see us. "You inferior freaks! What are you trying now? Not more of you! Does some other god want me dead and punished for becoming a god? It doesn't matter because I will kill you all! Concentration camps are too slow for my tastes. I'm going to defeat and kill every one here who dares defy me! And with you, wokism, communism, and more will begin to die as well!" "Herbsalvin, do a barrel roll right now! Also, say what you want but that won't stop anyone from trying to beat the crap out of your sorry butt! We're going to save Steven someway somehow! You'll see!"
"I want to see you try because watching you fail will make me feel better about your constant and aggravating attempts to crush me and my company!" We both begin to ignore his words. Herbsalvin says: "I will lend you my power to go inside the mind of Corrupted Steven. It will be dangerous in there. I will focus on dodging and your body's muscle memory should help protect both of us. Go in there and see for yourself what's happening in there." "I will do so. Begin it as soon as you're ready because I'm good to go. I'm prepared." "Okay. Just close your eyes and concentrate." I do so and suddenly find my consciousness inside the mind of Corrupted Steven. The two number cards are standing guard over Steven and Rose Quartz aka Pink Diamond. Pmurt Nedib is nearby with his eyes closed. His consciousness is not aware of mine yet. I feel someone touch me and turn around to see 2 individuals. Smokeflare and Regnes: "What are you two doing here? Better yet, how are you here?" The horror artist replies: "Those who bond with numbers develop special dimensional ties due to those bonds. These ties can only be broken by distrust from both parties in the bond. It's different from what you were able to do before you gave up your former powers. You may use me far more than Smokeflare now but the bond you and he share still remains as strong as ours. We are here to help you. We'll fight the two numbers. With that distraction, you must free Steven and Rose Quartz. Communicating like this takes a lot of effort on my part. We need to save our strength for fighting them. Go on, show off some of the best qualities a knight can have. We'll be right behind you. Don't fear anything in here. We'll fight with you until the end of time itself." "Okay, I'll do so. I trust you both completely." So with that, Regnes takes on the one on the left while Smokeflare takes the other one. I run past them to the two steel cages where Steven and Rose are locked up in chains. But Steven doesn't look normal. Normally, he has tan skin, black eyes, brown hair with circular ends to it, a pink and white jacket, a black shirt with a yellow star, blue and grayish blue pants, and red sandals on.
But right now, his eyes are pure black like an eternal void. His skin is also pale as bone now, his gem is sticking out of his shirt but colored dark pink, and a menacing aura surrounds him. His mom however looks as pure as ever. She wears a long white and pink dress that goes from her chest to her feet. It has wave like patterns on it and a star shaped gap in it where her gemstone should be. But because she died to give her gem up to allow Steven to be born, there's no gem there. She has extremely long and big fancy and curly pink hair, light peach color tone, and black eyes. Rose spots me: "Who are you? How did you get here? I sense no malice coming from you. I sense a desire to save my son." "It's nice to meet you, Rose Quartz aka Pink Diamond. No need to be alarmed. I really have no intention of harming you or Steven. My name is Adam but I have several other names too such as Swiftdrawer. I'm a knight and artist among other things. The pegasus I bonded with is the reason I'm here. The two fighting the guards are Smokeflare and Regnes. We're going to save you both. It's clear to me that Steven has been fully corrupted. I'm going to free you first. You are more likely to get through to him. If he acts aggressively, I will defend you so you can focus on trying to snap him out of it. If that doesn't work, we'll have to help defeat those guards. Pmurt Nedib used them to corrupt Steven. He's the man with his eyes closed up there." "I'll follow your plan as long as it means he can return to his old self." I then notice that my sword and gear are with and/or on me: "We have good odds. Pmurt Nedib is very busy with thousands of opponents right now. He may be extremely powerful but he can't beat them all that quickly. That gives us the chance we need to break Steven free of this hatred that isn't his to begin with. I'm so glad my consciousness came with all of this here. Let's do this." With my sword, I cut through the cage trapping Rose Quartz and cut the chains binding her. She stands up and I break the cage containing Steven open with my sword as well.
I then cut his binds and Rose immediately hugs him: "Steven, my son. We meet at last. Look at how much you've grown. I'm so proud of you. Can you hear me? Steven, are you okay?" Steven roars like an enraged little kid and attacks his defenseless mom. I grit my teeth and block one of his attacks with my sword: "Steven Universe! Your friends are worried about you! I met Connie today, she is really worried about your safety! Stop this senseless violence, you cannot hope to stop me. I have trained too hard and far too long to be defeated by you while you're not even yourself. I suggest you get back to your senses and give your mom a hug!" It doesn't work. He just gets angrier. Damn it. He can't defeat me but I can't defeat him. "Steven! Steven! Snap out of it, it's me, your mother! Come here and give me a hug!" "Pink Diamond, your existence will be crushed. There is no Steven. Only an empty shell filled with hatred and despair. You will be destroyed as will you, Adam, foolish knight." "I've had enough of you! Haaaaaa! If you won't let Steven go, I'll just knock you right out of the embodiment of his consciousness. Feel my strength. Drawing Destruction!" My attack does no damage, only pushback. A retaliatory attack pushes me back but does no damage. Rose exclaims: "I know what's happening! You can't be injured or defeated while fighting as just your consciousness." "In that case, let me try something. I must focus and visualize what want to imagine. *a few seconds later* I want a simple green chain that has a strong binding to it. In other words, it will stop Steven here from moving until I return to my body." Just like that, a chain appears and stops Steven from moving: "If that worked then, we will free Steven for sure. Rose, visualize what you use for battle. We're going to help stop those guards and I'm going to imagine a lot of help for us. You'll see what I mean in a second." She does so and goes for one of the guards while I go for the other who is equally matched with Regnes. But not if I can help it. I swing my sword about them: "Hey big guy, looks like you forgot about me! And that's very bad news for you."
I proceed to imagine the entirety of Twisted Land theme park. It appears all around us. After a few minutes of fighting that makes full use of the dangers inside of the park, we defeat the guards and Steven is cured of the corruption. The park vanishes along with the chains as I call them off. Steven and Rose hug each other. Regnes gives me a grim look: "We won here but it won't be enough. We're heading to Beach City as we speak with the other duel monsters directly. We'll be fighting right alongside everyone else!" They disappear and Pmurt Nedib's consciousness opens his eyes. In response, my skill Artist's Eye activates: "That's not really his consciousness. That's a shadow of it. You two are strong enough to deal with him. I have to go, I can feel myself being tugged to return to my own body." I bid them good luck and open my physical eyes to find Pmurt Nedib absolutely furious: "It looks like it's time to stop. We managed to rid Steven of the corruption. The only reason his body hasn't reverted back is because he's still in control of it. We need to use a Defusion spell the first chance we get. That'll drive him away and bring us victory. Battling in there wasn't as hard as we expected. Then again, the powers of love and imagination played a huge role in saving Steven. You saw everything, didn't you? Thanks for allowing the opportunity. I appreciate it a lot." "You're welcome. I did see everything. I'm about to land so you can dismount. Is that alright?" "Yes, it is. I'm ready to get into action for real." Just as they land and I dismount, a whole bunch of gems show themselves including Yellow Diamond, White Diamond, and Blue Diamond. Even the Cluster, a creature of broken gems that was made to destroy the Earth makes an appearance through their hand. They became friends with Steven just like just about everyone else. I grin: "This battle is going to get much more exciting now." I say it at the right time too as literally thousands of duel monsters show up. Hope Ray Victory. Shooting Quasar Dragon. Red Nova Dragon. Tyrant Red Demon Dragon.
D/D/D Wave High King Caesar. Rune Eyes Pendulum Dragon. Terrorbyte. Hydradrive Knight? Firewall Dragon Darkfluid. Shining Flare Wingman. Cyber End Dragon. Exodia. Dark Paladin. Regnes. Dark Mummy Surgical Forceps. And more. Pmurt Nedib is the very definition of a boss monster. He can't attack all of us without charging up a powerful magical attack. Therefore, he is trying to hit us one at a time. I must get in there and attack. But Steven's corrupted body has an insane amount of defense. It'll take a lot from us all to make any dents. It seems that Strag has something planned for that. I know this as he and Freep are fighting right by me. I watch in amazement as he suddenly makes a relic of his far bigger than normal. He yells: "With this enlarged relic, I increase the strength of everyone here for the next few minutes!" It works immediately. I feel several times stronger than usual. Bray then comes to me while constantly casting spells: "Adam! I shall allow you to use far beyond your limit! Don't watch, just attack!" I do as the sage says and just attack Pmurt Nedib. I hope the right moment to activate Defusion comes along soon. There are quite a few of us who have that spell in our decks, myself included. Anyway, I can feel the intensity around me as Bray unleashes her full power. It's overwhelming. "I cast Healing Storm! All injuries and exhaustion will not be an issue for the next 20 minutes! This is what I can really do! I shall enable everyone to go far beyond their normal limits and abilities!" Just like when we fought Yappa Yappa at UA. I can't believe how long ago that was now. But now, I'm a lot stronger and so is she. Bray's powers have grown immensely ever since the day she revealed her true body and age. Just about 2 years ago. Anyway, it's time for me to go all out. "If I don't have to hold back at all and can just keep on going, then I'm going to use it to the fullest extent I can! And that extent are baffling! Haaaaaa! Great Infernal Tornado Slash!" I just kept sending out that same attack over and over again while compressing it's power to only affect a small area of our enemy's body, stolen from Steven himself.
It was the same move over and over again. I just kept feeling flashes of excruciating pain and full comfort all while continuing this all. Everyone else is making full use of the opportunity too. Strag's relic alone was a huge help but now in conjunction with Bray's spell, it has temporarily made all of us far more powerful than ever before. My current power output is far greater than it ever was even when I still had powers. The future doesn't look that bright for my world but we can at least save other worlds from the clutches of individuals like Pmurt Nedib including this world and Homeworld for the gems. Time seems to fly around me as I just think to myself while continuing to attack. But that's when I see it. The opening to defuse Pmurt Nedib and Steven. I stop attacking after seeing our foe react to the pain by groaning. But then, I sigh, remembering that my duel disk won't work. However, Judai jumps up out of nowhere and shouts: "This is for you, everyone! I activate Defusion!" And just like that, Pmurt Nedib's body falls after being ejected from Steven's. But he's smirking: "You really think that was enough to stop me from controlling his body? Of course it isn't! After seeing all these employees get defeated by duelists, I just knew you would try to use Defusion so I planned ahead! I don't need the numbers or to be one with him to control him!" The numbers fly out of Steven and fall to the ground. I ignore them for now: "What is that supposed to mean?" "Mind Transfer Technique!" Has he been to Konoha? If so, oh no. He has full control of Steven again but it doesn't last long. We're all still protected by Bray and strengthened by Strag. The battle continues until some of our comrades yell out things.. "Awoo! Let's give him hugs! I love giving hugs!" "Sorry best friends but we Supernoobs can't defeat him! But we can be the Superfriends and save Steven Universe! Woohoo!" "I think we should give him a hug! It helps me calm down Angel Bunny! I don't see why it wouldn't work!" "Hugging? No!" "Relax, Zenblock! Let's give him a hug. What did I say about you being nice?" "So we have to give the half meatbag a hug. Wait, a HUG?! Oh glitch! I'm not ready for something like this!"
It escalates from there and many of us look very awkward hugging Steven. Spectre, Ai(in human form), Astral, Iruga, Minglow Bats, Rollagoth, Dr. Bonesbane, Saw Mill Killer, Despair, and some others especially. It feels kind of awkward to me to be honest but it's not that bad in the end. I can live with this. I really can. I'm not sure how we managed to fit everyone into it but we did. Actually, Steven is much bigger than he was the last time he became a corrupted gem dragon. So really big. That explains it. I need to observe better sometimes. But what can you do? This is one hell of a situation after all. Pmurt Nedib is forced out of Steven's mind and Steven returns back to normal. Dominic pulls out a portal gun and shoots out end at a cliff wall and the other right below where most of us are now falling because this wasn't fully planned out. Due to that, we end up being unhurt and Bray and Strag release what they had going on. We're now in the biggest dog pile ever. The irony is not lost on me. But, Dominic uses his powers to fix that too. We all turn our attention to where Pmurt Nedib is finally managing to step back up: "You ruined everything again. Be glad that wasn't my last plan or my true goal. I'm so angry. I hate all of you so much for what you have done! Stop meddling with every plan I try to succeed at anything or else, you'll die soon! I'm leaving you here. You have left the Gem Homeworld completely undefended. I will destroy all civilization on it and turn the planet into the biggest and greatest gem production factory ever." He disappears through a portal as usual and I go pick up the numbers on the ground. I feel disoriented and my body feels throbbing pain. I breathe heavily. My closest friends rush over to me before anyone else can: "Arr! Adam, you don't look so good! Need a hand?" "Adam hurt, Adam hurt! This is bad! This is bad! Squawk!" "Adam! Aaaaa! My hair is on fire! Not now!"
"Ugh, that makes me want a nap but Adam's pain makes me want to focus on something. *extinguishes Fluffy* Someone needs to figure out why your hair keeps doing that. Adam, are those numbers hurting you?" "..So much pain. I'm so dizzy. Is this what being a main character in a story gets you? Crap. We must teleport to Homeworld." "But what about your pain? I cannot alleviate it even with my fully power in play. I shall do what I can to help you." "Bray, don't. Don't worry about this pain. I can take it. We need to prioritize what's going on on Homeworld and get there immediately. We cannot afford to spend time worrying about me. Not when so many lives are at stake again." They accept my wishes and all us BRAINS members bring along with others with us. However, something is wrong. The sky is normally not so bright on this planet called Homeworld. The pain gets worse and I have to shove my sword down into the ground to use it to steady myself. Where is everyone else? I teleported some of the gems with me even as I was doubled over in pain. I struggle to even breathe at this point. I can feel some internal bleeding going on inside of me. Blood drips from my tear ducts. Something is wrong. But then, my blurring vision stops blurring and I see someone standing silently and watching me with a cold stoic expression on their face, whoever they are. They walk closer to me and who they are becomes clear: "What?! The Supreme Dark Lord?" *A few minutes prior, Annihilation Council* The mysterious figure is in their office tapping angrily: "I had it perfectly planned out! I was going to take Yappa Yappa under my wing this cycle but I still failed. If I had, I would have weakened my enemies in time for the final battle between us! How can this day get any worse?" Freddie appears before him: "Leader, I have something to show you." "You're too calm. What's going on with you? I'm coming." "Follow me." They go to the "revenge room" in the place and the mysterious figure gasps: "Is that a portal leading to here? How?! No mortal could ever reach here! This has never happened before!"
Pmurt Nedib walks out of it calmly with a huge smile. "Pmurt Nedib. I wasn't expecting to meet you again until far ahead from now. What are you doing here? How did you even find this place?" "I was alerted to a strange aura right after I killed Yappa Yappa. I didn't do anything about it at the time but I secretly tracked where it came from. It led me here. I don't know what or who you are but I sense the energies of a lot of people I look up to! You look like you run this place. Would you care to let me take as many of your members as possible for a while? Actually, don't answer that! I'll take them anyway!" "You don't know me, huh? And you just want to take all of these lowlives for a while? Let me think about it. Don't take them without my permission unless you want to die. Zedkiel Green, come over here and recount how frightening my power is to this man." Zedkiel Green appears quickly and grins sadistically while explaining it to Pmurt Nedib. And then, the mysterious figure finally gives an answer: "No. I won't let you use anyone here." "Then I'll just kill you!" "That won't be happening." At that moment, Pmurt Nedib dies and the mysterious figure places a soul binding seal on his body before healing him. Pmurt Nedib returns to life with a blank expression on his face: "Pmurt Nedib, you will continue your plans the way you have intended to this whole time. You will think you are yourself and in full control of everything as you already have thought so. You are making me run out of patience that's not even there anymore! I will cleanse this existence of your sinful existence as part of MY judgement! Susanoo!" It takes some time for him to bring forth the creature used by both Itachi and Sasuke Uchiha. The skeletal creature surrounded by flaming energy. In that time, I sheath my sword and pull out my daggers which are still coated in more than enough toxin for what I have planned for Pmurt Nedib SDL. I close my hands into fists to hide them. When Susanoo is finished being summoned, he commands the creature to kill me but I easily dodge attack after attack: "Why aren't you fighting me anymore and why are your filthy hands closed into fists?" "No!" "Yes!" For the next 5 minutes, he tries to use Susanoo but is then forced to unsummon the creature. But then, I feel like everything is very wrong. I ignore the feeling and charge at him, catching him off guard. When I punch him for the first time, I move my fingers to allow my right dagger to stab him secretly. The effects won't appear for a little bit but once they do, it will hurt. Now if I could just do that again 20 more times, I'd win this fight for sure. But the pain. It's becoming too unbearable to ignore. The disorientation returns in full force. I do what I can to not react but it's so hard to. Pmurt Nedib laughs: "I can see you're in pain! That punch was worthless! What were you trying to do? Waste my time and focus? You freak! How dare you get in the way of my perfection again! You're responsible for so many of my plans going to ruin! I take off and put away my armor to double my maximum speed. The bleeding is getting worse. As I run toward Pmurt Nedib SDL, a small trail of blood follows me. I need water. I need water desperately. But still, I charge right at him too fast for him to react. I attack as many times as possible before I feel some exhaustion and run away to avoid magical blasts he's throwing at me now. I put away my daggers and draw my sword before putting my armor right back on. I'm standing in a puddle of my own blood. I'm going to be so close to death from bleeding before it stops. That's the feeling I have. And when I reach that point, Pmurt Nedib will take over my body too. Pmurt Nedib SDL stops trying to fight me: "My excitement for controlling your body has restored some of my patience! I can wait until it's all mine now without trouble. But you aggravate me so much! You should have been mine by now! But still, you will be in just a couple of minutes!" "What ever happened to your plan to kill and zombify my corpse?" "This will be a better way to take control because you will suffer every moment until your body is mine to control! Freaks like you don't deserve bodies to reside in! You deserve to be incinerated until there's nothing left of you! I will give freedom to everyone who blindly follows me! My freedom means people like me get to speak without consequences or push back because the current kind of free speech doesn't work! Mouths like yours will have to be silent to let your betters talk and rule correctly instead of in a destructive woke way!" He then winces in pain. I smirk even as my pain gets worse and I feel more and more disoriented. The sound of sizzling and smell of chemicals comes from within the SDL's body. Even if you gain control over me, you won't be able to use the SDL's body anymore and that's a setback for you. You've only been using it for a short time so you can't use it to the fullest extent you otherwise could."
Seconds later, the SDL's body becomes a pile of contaminated remains. That means I don't have to hear his voice again for a while. That's a decent sized W. I guess. But it's far from over. The others mostly must be fighting other villains brought back as puppets for Pmurt Nedib to directly control and I need to do something about my bleeding and the hostile takeover Pmurt Nedib is trying to pull of my entire body. There must be a way to stop this but how? Just then, Dominic follows Andromeda as they find me again. The wolf puppy is deeply worried about me: "Andromeda.. Dominic.. I defeated Pmurt Nedib SDL but he's trying to take control of my body. Yes Andromeda, your concern is valid and appreciated. Again, I'm not okay today. I'm glad that we at least got this far even with how dark it was back at Beach City as we tried our best to stop him and free Steven. Speaking of, do you know if anyone else is okay?" "Only a few. I need a na- Stop me! This is no time for wanting a nap! Adam! You're bleeding a lot! Steven! Please show yourself. I'm out of mana and MP candies. I can't heal you myself, Adam." The others quickly decide to follow me. Dominic brings up trying to be stealthy before taking it back because Aporia has his 4 strongest Meklords with him. After some walking, we find Subaru and Dravise fighting Pmurt Nedib possessed Dragold possessed Ryuji: "Your inferior B Daman stands no chance against me! Oh look over there! YOU FREAKS SURVIVED POSSESSION AND DEATH! I'll kill you all along with Dravise and Subaru! You will be punished for being deviant freaks who dare fight against the likes of me! None of you will survive another battle with me! This I promise! This relatively weak body will do just fine even though it is a fragile clone of someone else's! I can't be picky because my patience is all gone! I'm going to use this body because I am sick of planning every little move to win, kill you all, and take over this universe! Oh and Maya's Cart Revolution and Steven's attacks also helped too. Chaos Wolg speaks up as we continue walking from there: "Hey, that chaos was awesome! When can we unlock Rune Activation?" "How am I supposed to know? I just survived getting almost possessed! It might be different for every B Shot and B Daman pair!" Herbsalvin flies towards us and lands to switch to walking with the head of a familiar boss from Miitopia in their mouth: "Herbsalvin, is that the head of the Evil Sage from the Tower Of Dread?" Our foe is now seriously underestimating us. This is so apparent that it's almost comical. Anyway, we quickly find Asuka facing off against the Shadow Rider Titan in a duel except Titan is possessed by Pmurt Nedib. "You won't scare me even if you use Titan's form, Pmurt Nedib!" "You say that even as you're losing! Once I win, the shadows will infest your soul just like they did to Titan so long ago!" "Dominic, please fix my duel disk!" "It's already fixed. I did it just now without you realizing. Now, put on an art show for us!" "I will! It's my turn!" "Intrusion penalty: 2000 life points." "Like I care. What's a little life point loss to save a comrade? You clearly didn't see this coming either, Pmurt Nedib!" "You're right but it doesn't matter! Defeat me in these vessels as many times as you want but you will never win against me! You sinners are going to pay for your defiance of what I want! In short, we win after a few turns and Dominic destroys Titan only for me to shove an HP banana in his mouth so he could regain his energy. The last person we rescue.. Well, more like individuals.. They are: Strag and Freep. They're up against Pmurt Nedib possessed Agram: "This shadow magic is quite nice! It's too bad I never had control of it until now! Your dream creature won't go back to the Dreamplane, I have blocked it off! You sinners will both die here today and come back as my mindless puppets! Agram is but a mere example! This existence will all belong to me! I will be on top as the only one with money left! Everyone else will be my slaves who work for nothing because they have no choice! He's left unable to do anything else as us duelists activate a lot of painful traps against him such as Solemn Punishment and Skull Dice. This allows Freep to destroy Pmurt Nedib Agram. We receive word right after that Pmurt Nedib for real is now fighting everyone else at the palace where the diamonds rule. When we get there, the whole place is already trashed and a lot of individuals have already taken damage. I yell: "We're finally here to help, everyone! We must work together to force him to retreat or kill him outright! People like him have no right to walk on us! Haaaaaaaa!" Bray smiles: "Everyone is here now! I have a surprise for you, Pmurt Nedib! I've just silently cast a even more powerful and long lasting spell to grant super regeneration to everyone! I shall now really aid in your defeat! Let's go!" I'm so well trained with my sword that shouting out my attacks is just a cliche at this point. I don't need verbal words to do them because they aren't magical attacks. So I just unleash my best attack constantly while hearing all kinds of things going on around me. "Yuma, now is the time." "Yeah! That's right, Astral!" "We build the overlay network with each other! Zexal Morph lll!" "Quantum Overdrive!" "Light the blaze, Drive Garuburn!" "Reincarnation Link summon! Rise again through the valley of flames, Salamangreat Heat Leo!" Outro: This chapter turned out very differently than I first envisioned! I think it turned out great anyway! This and the last chapter took a lot out of me to do but I did them and even got the chapter recap for this story's next chapter written. It will help me more efficiently continue writing this story as this is the final chapter of 2022. The next chapter marks the halfway point to the completion of this story.
