Chapter 24: The Paths Of Pain

Date: January 13th, 2023

Last time on Veil Of Greed: Hunt For The Numbers! The fight between the Dark Sage, Swiftdrawer, Shun, Go, Smoky Quartz, Susan and Mary Test, Lloyd, Madeline, and surprise entry Sakura began after the Dark Sage tried and failed to use invisibility to absorb the powers of Naruto and Pain who were fighting at the time in what was once Konoha. Pain flattened and destroyed most of it. Many villagers and ninja alike died. The fight was contained in a sphere field so no interference could come in and the Dark Sage couldn't just change the course of Konoha history by taking Naruto and Pain out of the picture. During the fight, many things happened. It was intense and went on for almost as long as Naruto and Pain fought to the point that when the Dark Sage was finally defeated and sealed into a card by BRAINS members who suddenly showed up, Naruto and Pain were just talking. Pain used 6 corpses to do his work and use his power with. Naruto defeated all of them, went berserk thanks to the Nine Tailed Fox sealed inside of him, and more. With the Dark Sage dealt with, Swiftdrawer used their awakening Artist's Eye to give Sakura what she would have experienced if the Dark Sage had never fled to Konoha from Galados Isle in Miitopia and forced some individuals to pursue him through dimensions. But their job isn't over yet. There are numbers to get but who will be possessed by them? Find out now.

Lloyd says: "Yeah, I think you're both right. I feel like something really bad is about to happen. It's a shame that my friends couldn't come because we.. have other problems too." "If I had to guess, we better find Naruto as soon as possible. He is the most sought after individual by villains of this world. Last time any of us dealt with numbers, Pmurt Nedib killed Yappa Yappa and possessed and merged with Steven Universe who was already possessed by numbers. It was his setup and there's no way he isn't back from the dead yet. We can't afford to rest just yet. It won't be too long until Naruto is to return to what's left of this village." "Yeah, that man sure did a number on Steven. Hey, what are all those green lights coming out of that giant thing?" "We better get moving. Everyone Pain killed is being brought back to life. That's a lot of people. I'll teleport us to some trees by where the still standing gate to Konoha is. That's the best way to avoid detection." No one has anything to say as we all put our hands together before I teleport us to where I wished us to go. Perfect. "Okay, now that that's done, we just have to wait for the usual to happen or for someone to rampage thanks to a number or two or ten being inside of them." "That's true but we better be quiet. We don't want to be noticed." "It would help if MADELINE had some sort of camouflage spell to conceal us well in this forest." "Don't worry! I have it covered, everyone! Please be patient with me. I'm almost out of mana. I cast Blend!" I don't look any different but when I look around, I don't see the others. I hear Lloyd's voice: "I can't see any of you anymore! What has happened?" "Madeline, did your spell serious just do what a digital art program could very easily do? It's like we're not there, like the light around us has bern warped." She laughs instead of yelling, now I know she isn't angry anymore for sure: "That's right! But I'll undo it when we have to step in. I can't do any other spells besides that one."

"Damn it. It looks like I'll have to fix all our gear myself. I was afraid of having to use most of the little mana I have recovered over the past few months this soon. Crap. I wanted to keep it around with when we confronted Pmurt Nedib once and for all. I'm glad I had a certain spell taught to me after our misadventure in Beach City and Homeworld and after Ovenzilla was turned into spaghetti by Ultimate Shaggy. Alright, I'm going to sit down after this because this will be exhausting. I haven't released like any spells in a year and 4 or 5 months. Fine. I cast Repair! This will take so much out of me! I barely remember how to channel magic anymore! Haaaaaaa!" After about 30 seconds of struggling, I immediately sit down as my armor magically gets repaired. After getting confirmation from the others that it worked, we all fall silent and keep our senses peeled for anything that's very bad and very wrong. I just hope that we don't need to worry about Danzo just yet. After sometime, Kakashi walks to the open area in front of the gate with Naruto being supported by him. The villagers and ninja are cheering and hailing Naruto as a hero. Naruto is able to walk again on his own and Kakashi explains what's going on to the surprised young ninja. Things happen just as they do in the show. So far, only the ominous presence of hostile energy is afoot from numbers but only we know about it it seems. Oh. There's Sakura hitting Naruto and briefly berating him before hugging him and expressing her worry and care more. Some of the ninja are reflecting on how things have progressed with the treatment of Naruto by the village. At one time, only the Third Hokage held no hatred towards Naruto. Oh yeah and Choji because he's pure and Shikamaru because everything was a drag and he didn't care about much of anything. Iruka, a teacher at the academy was the first adult to treat Naruto as a human being instead of a frightening demon or annoyance after the Third Hokage convinced him to try to be kind to Naruto.

When Naruto finally became a genin, it was because Iruka graduated him even though he failed the exam big time because Naruto stopped a traitor from doing harm to Iruka by using Shadow Clone Technique which he learned by stealing a forbidden scroll. He was paired up with Sakura and Sasuke with Kakashi as their sensei. They went on many missions together as Naruto started to finally not fail at everything. Kakashi recommended the 3 for the Chunin Exams to rank up in the ninja world. It was a 3 part event that was cut short by an attack on Konoha orchestrated by Orochimaru, a legendary ninja obsessed with immortality and creating new techniques. It gets more complicated from there but let's just say that Naruto helps a lot of people, Sasuke leaves Konoha to get stronger under Orochimaru, Tsunade is found and convinced to become Hokage by Naruto and the perverted Toad Sage Jiraya, the Akatsuki captured and kill most who have creatures like the Nine Tails sealed inside Naruto, Naruto changes a lot of people including Gaara who harbored a murder instinct, Jiraya and Naruto train together for 3 years, Naruto becomes a Toad Sage too, Pain attacks Konoha, and so on. However, just as Sakura, Rock Lee, Guy, and some others toss Naruto into the air, something explodes nearby. "That's our cue! Madeline, you have the best sensory abilities of us all. My Artist's Eye is out of commission because I am still recovering from using it several times today. What do you sense?" "I'm getting ready to release the spell. I sense numbers, a person we are too familiar with, and the power of the Rinnegan. This is very bad!" "Then my falcons and I must take flight very soon!" "Don't be hasty. We're dealing with a major threat. Pmurt Nedib must have revived Pain, possessed him with the numbers, and taken over his body. This is bad. We're going to need a lot of help to do this. This better not mess with what else is soon to happen. The Five Kage Summit. Danzo is becoming acting Hokage. This really is bad. We better reveal ourselves quickly or else, everyone including us will die without that advanced warning or cooperation."

"Right! I think I should be the one who speaks of this." "Good idea. You are a ninja after all. Ninja here don't often dress like you are now but they might trust you most especially if you show your full face. You aren't wanted here, go ahead, comrade." Lloyd nods. Madeline undoes the spell and comes out of the trees with his face mostly concealed for now. Kakashi and the other ninja tense up as all the loud cheering falls silent. Another explosion is heard, closer this time. Lloyd is quickly surrounded. Kakashi demands: "Who are you and want do you want with us?" Lloyd reveals his face: "Your troubles aren't over yet. You heard that explosion, right?" I come out next and get everyone's attention to continue from there: "Pain gave his life to undo all the deaths he caused here today. But he has been revived by a wicked mastermind named Pmurt Nedib." Madeline comes out after me: "I sensed the power of the Rinnegan, the mastermind's presence, and a another dangerous power." Shun leaps out: "That other dangerous power is in the form of a card or several cards containing immense power. You'll need our help." Go runs in: "These cards are called number cards." Smoky Quartz, Susan, and Mary all come out. Shikamaru sighs: "And why should we believe you? You could be an enemy trying to trick us." Sakura rebuts: "Kakashi-sensei, Shikamaru. They aren't here to hurt us. Did you already forget how they were in the sky after someone. I fought that someone with them. It's okay, we can trust them. Lady Tsunade is unconscious due to using all of her chakra to keep us all as safe as possible. One of them is able to heal others without chakra." Guy, a ninja with average length short black hair with a white pattern that's well upkeep with black eyes, a green and black outfit, and light skin replies: "How is that even possible?" Suddenly, all 6 Pains appear before us with Konan and Nagato nowhere to be found. The forest we were in was destroyed. The 6 Paths of Pains are wearing black cloaks with red flowers with white outlines all over. Akatsuki outfits. Deva Path is Yahico's corpse with light skin, spiky orange hair, and the ringed eyes of the Rinnegan as all Pains have. Asura Path is bald with light skin and a large stature and has many holes and metal parts because he's also a human puppet hybrid. Human Path has light skin and hair that goes down in long strands. Animal Path is a corpse of a woman with long orange hair and light skin. Preta Path was a ninja farm and has short and well combed orange hair with light skin. Naraka Path has pointy orange hair that points down due to gravity with side burns and light skin. He was a priest.

Naraka uses King Of Hell to interrogate others and suck their lives out of them which can also heal any damage to the Pains. Preta can absorb any chakra or even nature energy in any attacks thrown his way. Animal can summon all kinds of creatures and other individuals too. Human can read minds and pull out souls from people. Asura is basically a living weapon not unlike the Dark Lord after Freddie helped revive and assimilate him but with his full body full of less high tech weapons instead. Asura can also release a powerful chakra blast. Deva can attract(Banshō Ten'in) and repel(Shinra Tensei) pretty much anything and form a giant sphere from the ground with Chibaku Tensei. Yes, they're all corpses being controlled. Without warning, Asura releases a bunch of explosives. I won't let this work out for them. "That won't work! *resists Deva's repulsion as Animal summons a giant centipede* Continuous Extremely Risky Spin Slash: 150!" My attack repels the explosives sent flying toward us as I stab my sword into the ground to prevent myself from being blown away. Madeline eats an MP candy and erects a magical wall to keep everyone from being sent plummeting to their deaths or crushing the still standing gate to Konoha. "Pmurt Nedib! I know you're here inside all of the Pains! Don't deny it! Why else would they attack us like this?" Using chakra, he projects his voice through Deva: "I can never fool you freaks, can I? It's good to be back so I can kill all of you freaks! I have waited too long to take over all of existence! My employees keep being disappointing failures who never learn no matter how many times I torture them all. That Ultimate Gem brutally killed me but that wasn't enough to keep me from my destiny as God! You will all bow down to me in fear as I erase all resistance to me and my plans! The Dark Sage is just another of my pawns! Once he succeeds in conquering Miitopia, I will just kill him! Yappa Yappa told me I can only trust myself! Now feel pain for defying me, you inferior deviants! I'm barely using any power right now! There is no hope for you anymore now that I control all of these bodies! This is even better than using Steven Universe! And even better than showing you all my full power! This time, no one will be able to rescue you by showing up as they please!"

"Damn you! We'll stop you or die because we at least have the ninja on our side to help this time!" "And what's a few ninja going to do against me, a God far greater than Pain ever was? I don't have time to chat! I have a schedule to keep! I will just hold nothing back and kill all of you here as soon as possible! My shareholders want a urgent meeting with me in 2 hours! That should be enough to kill all of you with these Paths Of Pain or as I call them: Vessels Of Superiority!" How the hell are we even supposed to defeat just one when all 6 are attacking us at once? Madeline's wall just won't hold for very much longer. We need a solution. Shun says: "We must split them up. Divide and conquer, that's how we sometimes did things back in the Xyz dimension when we formed our resistance to Duel Academia!" The ninja begin successfully resisting the power of Deva because Kakashi used Earth Release: Mud Wall to get in the way of it. Naruto, the jinchuriki with spiky blonde hair, orange and black clothing, a brown Konoha headband, blue eyes, light skin, and 6 whisker like hairs yells: "But we can't do that easily! They're far more powerful than before! How the hell are we supposed to separate them?" Just then, Dominic appears: "Time travel takes so much energy! More than interdimensional travel by proportion! Listen! I need a nap but we're all just going to come here and time travel to the point right after we left our universes because we just can't ignore this anymore! I have a headache! We'll explain more to those of you who don't know later but right now, we need to not die!" Without warning, Dominic manages to destroy Deva's right hand just as a whole entourage of individuals show up, even Ovenzilla and my Miitopian counterpart. Ovenzilla yells: "This is how I make up for being turned into spaghetti! That won't happen again! Many parts of me handle many missions daily but here I am! Oh and we brought some really old friends with us too this time!" Pmurt Nedib laughs only for time to be stopped again. Kaito says loudly to the confused ninja and villagers with help from Orbital 7: "We have stopped time for now. This will give us time to rest and start splitting those Pains far from each other. We'll hunt the numbers partly behind this and capture them." Then, some individuals I haven't seen in a long time show up.

My future counterpart from a timeline where Fluffy Afro never becomes Gorganan by 3019 sighs: "We were hoping this could be avoided but here we are from a different timeline. We're the Peace Union in case you were wondering. But no time to explain." Along with them and other future counterparts, we have Dr. Amelia Bones and her son Iggy from a post-apocalyptic Earth, the teenagers who had to save Jumanji some times, the first king of Ni No Kuni's Evermore kingdom Evan and his friends, and some others such as Merlin from the Earth where there's a modern King Author. Hell, even Abstractoa is here. That and the Crystal Gems and so on. Future Dominic groans: "This is going to be annoying but we need to join forces. This cycle of all time is very different and that fact is troublesome. BRAINS Collective, will you accept an alliance with us?" No one objects to that. Ovenzilla adds: "We don't have much time left before time resumes. We'll just have Abstractoa randomly teleport everyone into different groups to fight the Pains who will be sent far away from each other. But quick introductions for me and them. Konoha, I am Ovenzilla, a star that planets orbit that is also an appliance that cooks food, mostly hot pocket ships. Abstractoa who is surrounded by floating artwork over there is a being who protects creativity and stuff like that. Okay, that should be enough for you to understand but interdimensional stuff is hard to take in. Don't worry, we get it. And this will all be better explained for those of you who need to know what's going on when your world is free from malicious interference from other universes once again." And with that, Abstractoa randomly sends all of us, themselves, and the Pains to different locations around the nation that Konoha is located. I ended up with an interesting group of others against Asura Path before time resumed. We're in a quiet plains environment with no trees around. Asura Pmurt yells: "No! What has happened? Time must have stopped again! This isn't fair and now my Pains are all separated with a bunch of deviants staring them down! I will kill everyone because all of you are in the way of my master plans! I will never forget this day! You'll all be sorry! My employees will be relieved to know that I won't torture them as badly as I will all of you!" Iggy, a trans man who was killed and then revived by his mother as an android replies: "We won't let you win! I've dealt with enough hatred where I'm from. I was murdered. After going in many missions, I know what I can do because I am an android now."

Asura tries to blow him up but he emerges unharmed and starts attacking with energy blasts from his hands that don't do much damage at all but are something. The rest of us join in on the attack. We're also with Sakura, Team Guy, Team Asuma, Merlin, a Ovenzilla, Team Ragnarok(5Ds world), The Knights Of Hanoi, Lord Knight Swiftdrawer's party, and a bunch of others. You'll see. But I again don't focus on the others too much and try to cut apart parts of Asura only to find my slashes how no effect: "Damn it! My swings aren't strong enough to even lay a scratch!" Asura laughs: "I knew it! I don't have need to use my very own attacks! Besides, it will hurt a lot more if I just use the moves granted by the Rinnegan after all of the devastation inflicted on Konoha! I hate having to use my own moves and body to kill my inferior enemies who have no right to live anymore! As if they ever had the right to live! My plans will go as planned from now on! No matter how hard you defeat me, I will just come back to kill you another day if I fail! I am God, I am unbeatable! You will all bow before me!" A bunch of missiles are launched out of Asura. Iggy easily takes them all on and lets them hit him only to emerge, unharmed once again. "Your rockets will not work. I am an android. I was rebuilt to survive more transphobic attempts on my life in my world. Little rockets are worthless when dealing with me." "Oh but that was just a distraction! I would never go easy on any of you after all the failures I have endured over time! Do you have any idea how hard it has been to find good allies that I didn't have to take over? It's a waste of my time and money! I spend so much money on plans that never work and it makes me hate the likes of you more! I bless America and carry on its spirit so I can rule over everything and kill all freaks, deviants, and groomers who stand in the way of a perfect society ruled by me! I am superior, that's the fact! My pawns are just sacrifices to get what I want! Nobody matters except me for I am God and proud to be an American!" Merlin just keeps teleporting and turning projectiles such as shuriken into firecrackers: "How boring. I thought this would be interesting. I guess after finding Arthur and helping him on his journey that I no longer became necessary for anything. Now does anyone have some chicken or cherry cola? I am getting quite pekish and will run out of energy soon. I need those things to keep using magic."

Shikamaru sighs: "You're like this during a battle to the death! I can tolerate it with Choji but not with whoever you are! What a drag!" "Merlin, we don't have anything like that. Go to Twisted Land. You can find plenty there though the chicken is made from air molecules. You have a band now apparently so just go there on your own damn terms! We don't have time for this just like I don't have time to try kindness because Pmurt is never swayed by kindness! He's a full blown bastard, that's what he is." "*Merlin does so* Hahaha, Twisted Land, you say?! I'll have to pay a visit and destroy it! I hear it has been part of why my plans haven't worked! As God, it along with you must be cleansed of your sins by being killed and sent to my version of Hell!" "We'll see about that! Gofast couldn't even get into Twisted Land after all. So there you have it." "I remember using his body to fight someone! That was fun until his body was immobilized and blown up by that pirate! Blaster! He has caused so much trouble for me and my idols! I am God but I could have never become God without them!" "SHUT THE HELL UP, YOU DAMN VILLAIN WHO WONT EVEN FIGHT US FACE TO FACE!" "Katsuki Bakugo! If that attack on UA had succeeded, you would have been a very nice puppet of mine!" "JUST SHUT THE HELL UP, BASTARD! YOURE WORSE THAN THOSE DAMN EXTRAS!" Again, like during the battle with the Dark Sage, I start focusing less on the banter as Asura unleashes so many weapons at once constantly. I'm forced to cut through so many of them just to give breathing room to myself in the others. It's constant action, never a dull or stale moment. Pmurt can keep this crap up all day in Asura Path. That's a huge problem that we have to somehow stop. If Naruto were here, I'd personally make sure he'd get the time he needs to build up nature energy in order to enter Sage Mode where he is much more powerful and able to use his current best technique without severely hurting himself and getting yelled at for it. I'm sure we'll end up helping him and whoever he's with if we survive Asura. Pmurt is such a problem. He's not as powerful as Gorganan or The Shadow but he is smarter and more directly aware of who he's dealing with than they generally were. That and he is much more directly involved than they were and about as active in things as the SDL.

Many of the weapons are still cut down by me but it is getting annoying and bothersome. That's when Shikamaru immobilizes them all with Shadow Paralysis before manipulating them to hit Asura instead. This barely does anything besides destroy some more weapons being fired out such as shuriken and explosive tagged kunai. However, this buys time for a lot of attacks to attack Asura, only to do no damage whatsoever. Even I used Drawing Devastation and it didn't work. That's it. Regnes time. I activate my duel disk: "No need for an action field! Duel board, return to me from your location and then return to Link VRAINS! *it does so* Now, it is time! No flashy stuff, no artsy stuff. Let's just do it! Pendulum scale set with these! I summon monsters and with them and a certain effect, I Xyz summon Regnes! And now for Rank Up Magic Numbers Force! That's it, Chaos Xyz Evolution! Chaos Number 916: Maniacally Terrifying Nightmare Horror Artist Lord Regnes! Join me in the fight, my comrade!" "I will! Now that I am here, Asura Path can be defeated. The Pain has the energy of a number inside. Number 113. That one. I know it. You don't need to give me directions, let's just fight at our very best." "Of course. Pmurt, we will do what we can to stop you and your plans! We'll find your headquarters if we survive long enough to and from there, destroy your company and get rid of you once and for all! Haaaaaa! I will stop all of your weapons coming out right now. Comrades, I suggest you back this attack up! Now then, I will nearly die again! Great Infernal Tornado Slash! Take this! It's not very good news for you to be seeing it now, Nazi!" My attack disrupts the motion of many weapons coming out of Asura which combines with other attacks to consume him in an explosion. After the dust clears, it is revealed he is still in nearly perfect condition and he grins: "Is that still your best attack? That attack will never work on me! It never has, not even once! I am no mortal anymore, I am God and I deserve to rule over everything! Konoha will be my first successful conquest! My empire will become bigger and bigger as I utilize free labor from all my future colonies! This is the life of a superior being to freaks like you!"

He tries to launch all kinds of weapons at us but nothing works. "You freaks are going to regret all of this! You just ruined my chance at not having to use any of my abilities to directly destroy all of you for defying me, your lord and conqueror!" I choose to ignore him and any replies said to him. Instead, I seize this opportunity to try to deal a crap ton of damage. I eat another HP banana and then go on a sword frenzy. With my armor so strong and now repaired all over again, I'm not too worried about taking damage. Especially with the latest improvement to my armor. It's simple. A strong leather thing to go around my neck to absorb shock and damage around that area without constricting my air flow or movement. Everyone fighting in the Miitopian Civil War on our side also has one of those now. The neck is always left vulnerable to attacks most of the time because if you put anything too tight or heavy around it, your airflow and movements may become severely restricted as it's where the throat and so on are. It's also where part of the spine is located and you don't want to mess with it because it is at the core of the entire nervous system. I as usual at this point sort of get lost in the swinging but never truly because i always make sure to put in enough to control my swings to where I want them to be. But I almost died because Asura Pmurt starts using more of his own abilities such as the moves of many others villains due to the part of The Shadow's memories he still has. I didn't die because my Lord Knight counterpart took on all of the damage and blocked with their sword while being continuously healed by Lillah, one of their mercenaries who aid them in battle and follow them around pretty much everywhere. Varmundt is also here and formed a magical barrier that took on more attacks from our enemy. However, it wasn't enough. The magical barrier is easily broken by a chakra blast coming from Asura. I used Proud Protector in combination with my shield which I grabbed again with my left hand. This provided an opening for a barrage of attacks that left the villain shocked and pretty speechless.

We won't be underestimated again, that's for sure. Or at least, not until next time we see Pmurt because we can never hope to catch him or kill him for long. A search for his Earth is ongoing. We will find it and when we finally do, he will have everything he has ever wanted wash away, leaving behind just him surrounded by his enemies as he's finished off or by some miracle, decided to try to be a actually decent person instead of a full blown Nazi with no regard for the marginalized or anything like that. That's going to be a while though. Not until sometime in August if what I've seen about the future remains to be true, relevant and factual. But enough rambling about that. "I heard that Dark Lord Melvin was killed in Geffen Tower! Good, I have nothing to fear by doing this! Nightmare!" He easily lures all of us into nightmares that literally hurt to go through except for a few individuals. Regnes is a nightmare of sorts and woke me up almost right away. I find out who else is immune right away. Sophie who ended up here with us, Iggy, Shikamaru, Bracken(Evermore king Evan's inventor friend, former Broadleaf leader), and Twilight Sparkle. Not even that long passes until we're all back into action. I know that constantly just attacking Asura with my sword will be far from enough. There must be a way to defeat him but how? His defenses are so damn high now that Pmurt is possessing him with the aid of a number card. Kevin from Cornberry has been trying every animal possible to break Asura Path but nothing has happened. A change of strategy must be in order. Damn. I can't think of anything. But it seems someone has an answer. Guy jumps into action: "It's time to show everyone what a splendid ninja can do! 8 Chakra Gates! 7th Gate! Gate Of Dreams!" His starts excreting sweat that looks like a blue aura. I notice that he was already using the other gates before the 7th to fight. Damn it. He's going to be forced to open the Gate Of Death soon and he will turn into ash from all that chakra inside of him. This is bad. Really bad. With the 7th gate open, he actually does some damage to Asura: "Guy-sensei!" "Lee! It's okay! We must protect Konoha and everywhere else from this villain! That is what we must do as splendid ninja!"

"But sensei! If you go any further, you'll die!" "It's a risk I'm willing to take if it means this guy can be defeated and we can protect the others!" "Are there any damn healers? We can save you from death even if you use so much chakra to fight that you'd die without help! This wasn't supposed to happen till things were finally settled with the Akatsuki! Damn it!" Bray shows herself: "I shall not let him die! Ultimate Limit: Exceed! Now everyone, you shall now be able to hold nothing back! Break your bodies all you wish, that won't matter for 15 minutes! Ultimate Regeneration!" I smirk: "Finally! No holding back anymore. Pmurt, we're going to destroy this pain and there's nothing you can do about it no matter how hard you try to! Haaaaaaa! But that's just the beginning! I'm going to exceed my limits by so much that there's no way Asura Path will be able to withstand all of it! I apply the technique of Continuous Extremely Risky Spin Slash to Great Infernal Tornado Slash! Thank you so much for being here and helping us far exceed our limits, Bray! Please back me up! Here we go! A peak at what my body might one day be capable of without breaking any bones or straining any muscles! Continuous Great Infernal Tornado Slash: 500!!!!!" With no limits anymore, I take off all of my armor for now and also the increased speed to help me conjure up 500 copies of my best attack in a nonstop frenzy. I feel much pain than I have ever felt before but I refuse to quit even though it hurts so damn much. My vision keeps going in and out like my life keeps flashing before my eyes as I should have died after just the 2nd one. Guy goes on a rampage by opening the Gate Of Death and being surrounded by so much chakra that it's just unreal. Everyone is going beyond what they even thought was originally possible for them. Kevin uses nearly all of the energy left in his battleball to transform into the mother of all hybrid beast creatures. In that form, his movements rip the grass from underneath us as Guy's chakra burns it all away.

My mind is overwhelmed by the pain. It's all I can really focus on even as I keep on sending out my best attack over and over with 1 released in under a second alone. I'm pushing everything to a point I didn't even realize I could so long as healing backup me up. At the same time, Madeline lets her anger manifest into energy and give her a Rage Mode that looks like it would otherwise burn her immensely. Her hair is now spiky and red at the moment. Her attack speed is as insane as mine is. But observing her leads to my death. That's right. My death. My precision was off for just a second and I'm now being destroyed by sending out the attacks and by the very attacks themselves as the amount of air around me goes to 0. I have created a vacuum around me. But my attacks still exist in it as hot and gusty as they are. In fact, I feel myself getting torn apart and burned alive as a agony that I could even begin to describe becomes the only thing that's real to me now. So much pain. My mind can't wrap around it. It just keeps getting worse until I suddenly stop feeling anything. I hear a voice that sounds like it's coming from the very wind itself. The same as not even that moment not that long ago: "You are the wind. You have died. Your body has been destroyed. You do not have much time. Recreate your body. As long as your spirit remains here, you have no limits on the imagination that was building inside of you. When you are back, you will establish a connection with your very life force that will allow you to have and use chakra. You earned this by far exceeding your limitations when given the chance to. Discover your true elemental nature, wind. It will start weak as mortal bodies harbor many limitations." I do as the voice says and recreate my body and go into it: "Very good. If you hadn't done that, you would have faded away into nothing. You will not feel much stronger when you return to fight but you will be one step closer to reaching beyond the ultimate limit of your power. I am no one except the very wind inside of you. You will soon learn what elemental natures others have. This is where you return to fight Pmurt Nedib. Good luck, I will always be with you."

I wake up and find Bray grieving while still holding on only for me to tap her: "Adam! I watched you burn and be torn apart! I managed to save all your gear but you pushed yourself so far! I shall make sure that never happens again! But I'm so proud of you for recreating your body! I sense that your new body will stay around far longer than a day. We need your help." "I'm glad to be alive again! I admit it, I have powers again. I am not powerless anymore. Bray, your elemental nature. I can sense it now. It's Land." "I sense something in you, too. You have chakra now but it will be some time before you can use it effectively all the time. I must tell you then. Asura Path is almost destroyed thanks to everyone going all out. Your attacks destroyed half of his head alone. And I have unlocked the power of chakra inside of me as well. You're right about my nature but we shall fight before we discuss more." "Aye! Artist's Eye, goooooo! I use you to learn a Wind Release move! *eye strains more than ever* Well then, that's all I can get out of it this time. But now, I can finally start better holding against Pmurt Nedib on my own now! Watch this! Wind Release: Air Pong! Haaaaaaa!" I form the required hand signs after putting all of my gear on. Thank goodness the others weren't looking because I was in fact, nude for a very short time. Wow, Bray even saved my knight robes. My first chakra attack does nothing because it is very weak, barely the strength of someone blowing on something. I have a long way to go but this is a start. Learning something isn't the same as mastering it. That is very clear, especially right at this moment. But then, I do that same 500 attack thing as before but with more caution and manage to survive. I see all sorts of things happen around me as we finally break Asura for good. Guy keeps on attacking with attacks that shake the very ground even though he keeps leaping into the air and kicking and punching and all that stuff. Bracken is using robots and gadgets to attack while using her own weapon. Can't look at her long enough to recall what she looks like. It's been a while. There are just so many individuals to keep track of that it's just impossible to try to see what all of them are doing as I keep on swinging and attacking.

No one is on the brink of death due to that healing spell that Bray cast so we all just go all out and pull out all of the stops as any damage inflicted to us is instantly remedied. And just as Bray starts running out of time to keep that spell going, we all end up attacking at once, destroy Asura Path in an instant. Naruto grins: "We did it! Thanks for giving me time to go into Sage Mode, everyone!" Guy replies: "You're welcome but I think this is far from over." "Guy-sensei is right. We can't sense chakra but we do have this very bad feeling. Isn't that right, sensei?" "You are correct, Lee. We should go see how the others are doing right away." Spectre replies while grinning: "Say no more, I'll take us to the nearest battle right away! Sunavalon Daphne, make sure no enemies are following us as we leave!" We find ourselves in a battle against the Animal Path who is hiding behind a lot of Godzilla sized creatures. Pmurt's power mist have made them so much bigger. Damn it. I hope our arrival to enough to put an end to this battle. A lot of those fighting the creatures are Konoha Anbu Black Ops members. Their masks and cloaks give that away. Sai, a pale short haired ninja with black hair and eyes, a sword on his back, and a black/gray outfit says: "Ninja Art: Super Beast Scroll!" to summon some ink based creatures before drawing more creatures on the scroll he has with him as others keep him protected so he can use his own kind of sealing technique. He tries it on a giant orange and black centipede with Rinnegan eyes but it doesn't work. I cannot stay focused on that for long because one of those creatures is coming right for me and it's already too late. The giant 3 headed hound that's pursuing me puts one of their legs on me. I hear so much crack so I am left struggling for air with most of my body pinned down but not too crushed just yet. The hound is toying with me. Damn it. This must be Pmurt's idea, dragging out suffering like this even though he said he wanted to kill all of us quickly. This is so him to do. Regnes tries his best to free me but it is no use. Deku suddenly leaps in and takes advantage of Bray's spell which has been put into effect again after the Wacky Clowns distract some beasts long enough fir her to eat an MP candy.

"One For All: 1 Million%! Smaaaaaaaaaaaash!" That still isn't enough. I can't believe he used that move considering it got him rushed to the hospital when he did it to fight a seriously tough villain by himself. Then, the Wacky Clowns start laughing nearby and have their UFO hover where I'm only slowly dying thanks to Bray's spell. Pickle Rick Not An Alien says: "Never fear, our friend!" Banana Rick adds: "For we are here!" Banana Pants continues: "It is us, the Wacky Clowns!" Pickle Pants finishes: "And we're going to destroy the enemy for you with gags and deadly space lasers!" The beast turns to them and being at the height of the UFO, tries to headbutt the ship. However, some Sci fi music plays along with a "you failed" sound effect as the beast hits a force field before being punched in the face by a giant boxing glove. The Wacky Clowns all laugh at the same time again as the hound shakes their head to recover from that damage. Then, they raise one of their paws and try to swat the UFO out of the sky only for fart gas to come out and turn that paw into stone, causing the hound to stumble and fall, seemingly just about to crush me. But then, a tractor beam stops the hound from crushing me so they're hovering just barely above me. I can smell their breath. Very stinky.. Yuck. As if things couldn't get any sillier, the Wacky Clowns all personally carry me out from below the hound and Banana Pants gives me a banana flavored piece of gum after laying me down: "Go on, eat it! It'll inflate you up real good." I slightly reluctantly do so while hearing murmuring of rage from Pmurt Nedib through the voice of Animal Path. I chew and I chew and I swallow. Suddenly, I can breathe again after struggling to even get the gum in my mouth. I let out a big burp and watch as Dominic destroys the head of a giant bat and creatures try to hurt me and the 4, only to hit some kind of invisible elastic barrier that sends them crashing into other creatures summoned with the Rinnegan. And then, Banana Rick Not An Alien lets herself be zapped by some kind of blue laser before poking the still in a tractor beam centipede.

The centipede deflates and ends up looking like they are shriveled up Earth food. After that, a deadly space laser disintegrates the creature. The Wacky Clowns laugh for a third time before reentering their UFO and flying off elsewhere on the battlefield. I check my gear. Good, nothing was damaged that much, not even my armor despite the fact I heard some cracks as I was being almost completely crushed to death by the hound who couldn't even be unsummoned before being destroyed/killed by those 4. And then, I ended up teaming up with a bunch of swordfighters who are battling a giant snake alongside Fluffy Afro whose hair is on fire but not actually burning away: "Fluffy, what's with your hair? It's on fire but it's not burning into ash!" "Hahahaha! We've been such doofuses! I have had my hair catch on fire 791 times now but none of us could figure out why! That's when I remembered one day about my accident that led to my hair catching on fire like this! It was before I moved to Willow Creek in the Sims world. I was performing in a crowd when I accidentally bumped into a pyromaniac doing their own performance. My hair lit on fire and was gone in seconds. I dunked my head in a apple bobbing game and it went out but I was now bald. And that also happened to be around the time I got the Miitopian Chef job. The magic inside of me grew my hair back instantly! And recently, I learned that I am a fire elemental! That's my elemental nature! We were all so blind!" "Well, we better get set on defeating this monster now. Too bad my newly unlocked chakra won't be able to do much at the moment even though I know my elemental nature is wind now." "I hope we can all unlock chakra seeing as you managed to! Now it's time to put on a performance! Duel disk, let's bring on the giggles! I set the Pendulum scale with these two Intentionally Embarrassing monsters!" I would have listened to more if I hadn't gotten an idea to take down Animal Path without mowing down all the summoned creatures first: "Regnes, I use your ability to use the abilities of any Regnes monster in my graveyard! I choose your original form's effect damage and it won't be just once! It will be 4 times, dealing 6000 points of effect damage! I target Animal Path!"

The effect damage easily goes past all the summons and hits the mark. A few of the monsters vanish but no more. But that does free us up for dealing with the remaining monsters who quickly start falling one by one after I decide to just quickly stab Animal Path with one of my daggers coated in that certain substance. Pmurt Nedib didn't see that company and had no time to get Animal Path to dodge or even react to my attack to begin with. This moment of surprise allows me to stab again as many times as possible. I return to helping with the monsters just as Sakura immobilizes one of them with a huge punch. She's certainly recovered surprisingly well considering how low on chakra she was. Well, not important to ponder over right now. I fry and tear apart a summon with a 500 version of my best attack again and go from there, doing what I can to disrupt different parts of the creatures as I just keep going from one to the next to deal some damage and at least slightly cripple them. As useless as that sounds, I was far from the only one who was doing this. My Midgardian counterpart did the same thing for example. Sakura, Guy, and Rock Lee(who looks like a younger Guy to be honest) are among the others who employ the same technique. However, we end up getting pushed back immensely by the sudden intensifying of the summons even though Animal Path isn't in view right now. That was until some others disappeared and we heard signs of a quick struggle before a splat onto the ground. Around us, all of the summons disappear into thin air with the body of Animal Pain deteriorating at an accelerating rate. Seconds later, the body is gone by the time we begin to teleport with everyone we just helped to beat Animal Path to help defeat the other Paths of Pain. We end up finding ourselves dealing with the remains of the battle of Human Path which just ended up top of a large flat part of a mountain somewhere. That's way different from the beach we were right on fighting all those summons. Forgot to mention that part of things. I see Sonic smirking: "I told you all that we needed a break and that that guy would be easy to beat!" Knuckles replies: "SONIC! THAT WAS NOT EASY!" "QUIET DOWN, KNUCKLES OR I WILL HIT YOU WITH MY HAMMER!"

"Man, what a drag. You hedgehogs seem like a pain to live with." "Hahaha, Shikamaru getting annoyed by hedgehogs!" "Choji! Damn it! You're not helping!" Yusei who was among those who dealt with Human Path says: "Come on everyone, we have to defeat the others if they haven't been already." And with that, Abstractoa who was also fighting Human Path teleports all of us to the location of the battle with Naraka Path. It's a terrible sight. There's only one individual left fighting him. That individual is Hinata, her eyes are white due to having the Byakugan and she has light skin, a white outfit, and dark hair. "8 Trigrams!" I think all the others are dead. If this is any indication, the others are in far more trouble than we think. However, when we all charge in, things change quickly. But strangely, the person to deal the final blow to Naraka Path is Cathy from Heartland with the help of her 2 Xyz comrades and all of her cats: "Meow! Let's take this guy down, kitties! Twin Tail Cat Lady and Cat Girl Magician! Pounce on this naughty man who steals souls!" The cats make it impossible for the Pain to move while Cathy joins her monster comrades in attacking and scratching at Naraka Path. This leads to Naraka Path being destroyed. Cathy and all her cat friends jump up and down in victory. I would sweat drop but a lot of comrades died here. However, the magic users amongst our group cast various spells that destroy the King Of Hell statue creature thing and restore life to those who have perished. And with that done, someone teleports all of us but I'm not sure who to the battle with Preta Pain. We arrive to find a lot of exhaustion while the Pain smirks: "These inferior mortals never stood a chance against this Pain! I didn't even need to use my own moves to beat them all! If I can get them to attack just a little more, they'll run all out of chakra and die! *notices us* No! This changes everything! My plans! My plans! I will kill you freaks so you can't ruin everything again just like before!" This one is going to be so hard to beat. Naruto thinks it will be easy though: "Hey everyone, just let me handle this! Preta Path can't handle nature energy and I have plenty of it! He'll be petrified and turned into stone! Trust me! Believe it!"

Reiji comments while adjusting his glasses: "I don't believe it's going to be that easy. D/D/D High Kings Caesar, Alexander, Genghis along with the 3 D/D/D Doom King Armageddons, get ready to attack!" "This enemy must have a limit on how much he can absorb! Neo Galaxy Eyes Cypher and Photon Dragons, Galaxy Eyes Photon and Cypher Dragons, and Galaxy Eyes Prime Photon Dragon, prepare to attack!" "Ninja, go! Let's create the Tornado Of Creation!" "Pegasus! Galaxy Nova!" "Libra! Infernal Fire Blast! Sonic Wave!" "Unleash the 500 Great Infernal Tornado Slash attacks, nowwwwwww!" "Ravaging Rebellion!" "Hope Beyond, Hope Ray Victory, Hope Ray, Hope, and Hope Ray V, attack!" "Supernova! Black Hole!" "Magnum Break!" "Cart Revolution!" "Frost Diver!" "Quantum Overdrive!" You get the point. There's thousands of attacks unleashed as not a single being believes Naruto will be enough to beat Naraka Path this time either because they don't know about the Pain's power or they realize just how buffed up by Pmurt Nedib our foe is now. However, each and every attack is absorbed, even attacks that don't even use chakra which is most of them. Biara speaks loud enough for all to hear: "Pmurt Nedib must have enhanced that ability." Tron replies: "Well, that's no fun! I wonder if Number 8: Heraldry Beast Genome-Heritage can fix that! I overlay my two monsters in order to build the overlay network! Come on out, Number 8!" Dr. Faker adds: "I might as well do something similar. I summon Number 92: Heartearth Dragon!" "Thor, Lord Of The Aesir! I will power you up!" "Dark Rebellion. I activate your ability! Treason Discharge!" Suddenly, a lot of beings get stronger just as Number 8 is asked by Tron to erase the abilities of Preta Path. The monster does so and Tron grins: "I present to you once again, Number 8: Preta Path!" Most who are with us gasp in shock at what just happened. Dr. Faker says: "We'll answer questions about what just happened soon. That ability will not last long so we must attack with everything we have now." The original Preta Path is now all grayed out while Genome-Heritage looks like Preta Path with color.

And with that, we all attack Preta Path at once. Pmurt Nedib tries to use his power to undo what Number 8 did but it's too late because Deku, Sakura, and Naruto punch through the hand he was trying to do that with. In seconds, Preta Path is finally destroyed once again. We don't have take a breather before we are teleported to the final site where something unexpected has happened. Hinata shouts: "What is that fighting the others? Byakugan! *looks and gasps* Are those 3 heads on 1 body?" Naruto gasps: "Does anyone have anything that I can use to look closely at that?" Pirate Blaster walks up to him and hands him a pirate style telescope: "Arr you are, matey! Landlubber, put it in your right eye or whichever eye and you'll see for sure!" Naruto does so: "No way.. It's those two and their friend merged into one.. How is this possible?!" Noburu replies: "Well, who are they, then? Noburu would like to know!" "Well.. It's the man who was turned into Deva Path and.. the woman with the paper named Konan and the final Pain, Nagato.. They're all one person with 3 heads now.." The fusion comes straight to all of us and easily ignores the frantic and exhausted efforts of the others to bring them down. They stop to grin at Naruto with all 3 heads: "Welcome to my ultimate plan in this world, my own 3 headed Pain! The original Akatsuki, back together! Isn't that just wonderful for someone as inferior as you, Uzamaki?" "Damn you! They deserved to just rest and live in peace!" "Do I look like I care about peace for those who have turned away from the path of cruelty? Entertain me by reacting to what I next have to say. I was bored of dealing with all of those weak inferior creatures behind me. Do you want to know why I'm here and what I did? I won't let you answer that because I will kill all of them behind me if you don't listen!" "Arrrr! That ain't very nice of you! We'll do what we can to plunder your plans!" "Pirate! It's no wonder you can't catch me! So many of you are too focused on objective thinking when you should be worrying more about yourselves once I take over everything and kill you to get what I want! I am behind the rise of Miitopian nationalism! It wasn't my creation but I funded it!"

He pauses to laugh at all of us: "You freaks are reacting just as I wanted! You're all so shocked or horrified or confused! It's so much fun! I never truly wanted the Dark Sage as a friend, I just wanted him as a pawn. I knew he would be pushed to absorb power from this world so I made arrangements even long before Yappa Yappa betrayed me the first time he did! I knew about the disturbance in this timeline the whole time! Even before I gained the power to open portals, I used science to send out objects to other universes. It was expensive but a great investment! I sent probes to watch over other worlds and having found out about the SDL, I wanted to look at Miitopia! I did and found a chance to seize power from that land. I've been in contact with and funding the organization who rules most of it now! That includes the Dark Sage! I set up this plot so long ago and changed it when the numbers scattered. I just wanted to have a world were I would definitely win against those who dare defy my rule as a God! I was so very right about the Dark Sage! His failure in this world gave me the signal and opportunity to slip in here unnoticed! I made Itachi Uchiha's hiding of a number card pointless by finding and taking it after his death! Only I have the numbers that came to the world from above! The Akatsuki don't have any! I made sure of it! And even if I fail here, I have a backup plan waiting to be unleashed in this world! Unless you can figure it out and stop it, all chakra will belong to me and be redistributed to what's left of humanity here at high premiums! If I'm going to rule over everything, I should at least make endless money, right? As a rich man, I am entitled and have the right to so many better things than you inferiors!"

"Just how many things have you been behind anyway?" "Sadly, I have revealed all of that now. But now, I can begin to kill all of you at once one by one! Enjoy as I send all of you away from each other! And this time, you won't be able to best me in the bodies of thousands of dead failures who failed at being superior!" We can't even get a single word in from any of us before everything goes black. I blink once and find myself in a modern corporate office building with robots at the desks. I keep walking and walking until some robot boss says: "Hey human, we no longer have bathroom breaks! Get back to work!" "I don't even work here!" All of the robots turn to show they all have 4 heads: Yahico, Konan, Nagato, and Pmurt Nedib with blood red Rinnegan eyes which should even be possible. They all equip flamethrowers. The boss says while pulling his out: "Then, you are FIRED!" Just what kind of nightmares did he put the others in? Now I have to dodge all of this fire and hope I don't die. Damn it. This is bad and nothing like the river valley we were just in but barely noticed until I briefly looked back on it. To be continued.

Outro: Well. This one sure was a doozy to write. It was difficult but I did it. I don't think I'm going to work on the next chapter tomorrow. I'm torn about doing so or not. If I do, I will definitely publish once it's done though. But this arc is quite difficult, I really must admit. It's not even halfway done yet. You'll see what I mean in the future. At least the Phineas and Ferb arc featuring changes to some characters because the way they are written is too problematically stereotypical in my opinions will be a nice change of pace. I'm going to watch fighting videos, both anime and real to improve my understanding of all that stuff. I've watched many legendary anime fights but I need to watch more and eventually experience real hand to hand combat to help me out. Fights and duels are so hard to write for me, it's not even funny.
