Farewell Angel Grove

"To say I am proud and humbled would be a grave understatement."

Hearing those words from their mentor made everything that had happened that day worth it for the Rangers and Spider-Man.

"I take back everything I ever said or thought about you kids." Alpha added in his two cents. "Especially you, Peter."

"Wait, you said things?"

"Well, not to your face.." Alpha started, only for Zordon to call attention back to himself.

"Sadly, until else-wise disprovne, Rita's words were correct: She was fairly inconsequential in the grand scheme; there are those who tower over her and I combined."

"...Geez, way to make us feel good." Zack snarked, getting a smack from Kimberley.

"Wait, what about the green coin that...lady gave me?" Peter asked, choosing his words about his encounter with Captain Marvel very carefully, least he deal with a jealous friend.

"It is indeed a Power Ranger coin." Zordon said.

"You already found someone, didn't you?" Alpha asked.

"...He's a little rough around the edges, admittedly." Zordon mused. "But something tells me...he has potential to become even greater than my old team."

Alpha said nothing, trusting his master. The Rangers were unsure about this, but also decided to trust their mentor, who then smiled at them.

"In the meantime, until I summon you myself or danger arises, you are free to enjoy yourselves. You have earned it." Zordon smiled.

"Hey, if we hurry we can get back to the shcool before anyone else notices we're gone!" Billy realized.

The rangers then headed back to the school after wishing Zordon and Alpha a pleasent evening and asking them to keep safe.

"Shall I get into contact with the...?"

"Yes." Zordon requested.

However, the order would prove to be unnecessary; as the ones they had been trying to contact suddenly appeared inside the room. Or at least one of them.

It was a Power Ranger, wearing a red suit with a white sash across the chest. Said chest had three squares on it; one blue, one yellow and one green. The newcomer then removed their helmet, revealing a young man with blonde-black hair.

"Hello Zordon, my name is Andros. We have a lot of catching up to."

"Indeed we do." Zordon mused. "Tell me everything."

In spite of everything, the fair went on mostly uninterrupted.

And unsurprisingly, Peter (who looked none the worse aside from a few bandages and a black eye after Alpha and Zordon gave him a quick healing) and Kimberly won. Billy and Zack has both let out loud hurrahs when they took their ribbons and took pictures with Reed Richards and Hank Pym.

"Keep up the good work. You two will do great things in the future." Reed smiled as he and his family drove away.

Hank had glared at Peter for a full minute before smiling gently and shaking his hand.

"Not bad..for a Stark kid."

"Dad..." Hope teethed before smiling at Peter. "Ignore him."

They then left wordlessly, letting Peter be surrounded for Selfies and congratulations from the Prinicpal and teachers.

"Attention, students, quick announcement before you go home!" The princpal announced. "In the aftermath of what has occurred today, we shall be having a school dance tonight. Come with a special someone or alone, this is all about school spirit. Have a safe trip home and see you tonight."

"I'm not ready for this."

Peter stood with Trini at her house's front door a few hours later.

"You think I'm ready? I've NEVER brought anyone home! But hey, at least it can't be worse than what happened at..." Trini started before realizing just what she was about to bring up and shame filled her.

Peter however, didn't seem to think much about what she had been saying. Instead, they held each other's hand as they entered the house...which was filled with noise.

"I'm back for a second!" Trini announced. "I brought someone, so be nice!"

The noise stopped briefly as two young boys rushed to meet their sister and her guest, their parents following in suit.

The aprents fussed over their daughter while the two boys tried to smother Peter in paint or messy food. Luckily, Peter was too quick.

"Nice try, but the New York bullies have made me an expert at dodging!" Peter smiled, then ducking as one brother tried to get him from behind.

"Ah, I see your 'Peter tingle' is working again." Trini mused before turning to her family. "This is Peter Parker. He's the exchange student I may or may not have mentioned. He's cool. And...he'll be coming with me to the dance tonight."

Trini's parents gave the boy a look over, her dad smiling but her mother?

'You know, I think I'd take Vulture over this.' Peter mused. '...and 'Peter tingle?' No. Never. Never calling it that.'

Before a single word could be said, Trini dragged Peter away to the dance, promising her parents she'd be home on time and that she'd return in the state she left.

In spite of all the damage to the town and the sudden announcement of the dance, the school gymnasium was full and well decorated.

"Give my ex-friends credit they can do well under short notice." Kimberly mused as she and Jason waited for the others to show up.

Billy was the first and to their surprise but happiness, he wasn't alone. On his arm, was a girl they had never seen but who seemed to be very much like Billy; smart and geeky and exictable.

"Guys, this is Delphine." Billy smiled. "She's starting on Monday, but we've been talking online for a while."

"A pleasure to meet you!" Delphine beamed happily.

Kimberly and Jason smiled, happy for the two just as Peter and Trini arrived, chatting with Zack.

"Okay, how about Yellow-Web? PeTrin?"

"Please stop." Trini begged, rubbing her temples in exasperation.

"...Do I..?" Jason started, but Billy cut him off with a single question.

"Ship names?"

"Ship names." Peter replied. "I didn't even think he would KNOW what 'shipping' meant! Never mind trying to come up with...!"

"I know, right?!" Billy replied before remembering he had someone. "Oh, guys, Delphine. Delphine; Peter, Trini and Zack."

Zack looked at the girl, then Billy. He and Peter then gave him a thumbs up. Trini however, didn;t seem to be as taken in.

"You hurt Billy? We hurt you."

"If i do, I will be commanding it." Delphine retorted.

At that, Trini and Kimberly smiled.

"Okay, I like her." Trini said as two men suddenly took to the microphone; one larger with a leather cap and the other skinny with spiky hair.

"Hey there, folks: I'm Bulk, he's Skull,...!"

"And we are your DJs for this evening! So get ready to get down and boog...Oh geez, who wrote this?"

The teens had some laughs at this.

"Yeah see? This is why I NEVER trust random schmucks just because they're locals."

Everyone recongzed that voices.

"M-Mr. Stark?!" Peter gasped in shock.

"Hey there under-roos." Tony smirked, enjoying his protege's surprise at seeing him. "And friends."

The Rangers and Peter became tense with worry, but this subsided when a chuckle escaped the billionaire's throat.

"I shall go get us some punch." Delphine annoucned to all, moving to do as she announced.

"Don't worry you're secret is safe with me and the others." Tony assured them. "And here. One for each of you."

He then handed the teens each a card, decorated with the Avenger's A symbol.

"Congrats Kids. You're Avengers now. Well, reserve Avengers, but Avengers regardless."

Billy and Peter's eyes shined in giddiness and they struggled to geek out. Zack let out a 'yes!' and Jason looked at the card with shaking hands, unsure of whether or not to accept. He looked to Tony, who simply smiled. His confidence somewhat cooled, Jason pocketed the card.

Trini and Kimberly looked calmer on the outside, but inside they were a flurry of emotions; pride, fear, elation, confusion...

But then Trini remembered her little brothers' mention of how the Power Rangers were cool. A smile crossed her face. If they thought she was cool now, wait until they found out she was an Avenger.

"I hate to ask but, does tj=his get us a discount anywhere?" Kinberly asked.

All turned to her.

"What? You're all thinking it."

"...She's not wrong," Peter mused, shooting his mentor a quizzical look.

"Its too late to take them back, isn't it?" Tony asked no one. He got no answer, but smiled and patted Peter on the shoulder. "Have a good time kid, Happy will take you and the little miss to the airport and back home respectively after the real band leaves."

"Band?" Jason asked. "What ba...?"

"Uh, Jason?" Billy asked, getting his friend's attention. "Tell me I'm seeing this."

The others turned to where Billy was looking...and their jaws dropped.

Fall Out Boy.

At their school.

In the flesh.

"...How...in the...?" Billy and Zack asked together.

"I called in a few favours." Tony shrugged. "You know; donated to a couple of charities, sent some construction crews to help your town, you know, the usual billionaire philanthropist deal."

"I think you're missing a word." Jason pointed out.

"Nope. Nuh uh. No I'm not." Tony quickly rebutted. "I am now happily engaged to the most stubborn, patient, hard-willed and beautiful redhead on the planet AND I SWEAR if anyone posted what I just said on social media I can and WILL send the band back home."

The students and staff obeyed his command before Tony walked off and let the kids enjoy themselves.

It was then that Zack noticed one girl standing by her lonesome and he made his way over to chat with her.

"Hey there, you doing okay?"

The girl looked up to him in confusion before realizing what he had asked.

"No. My date stood me up." She confessed.

Zack winced before extending a hand.

"Do...you wanna dance? If not I..."

The girl smiled and took his hand.

"I...don't think I've seen you before." Zack realized. "What's your name?"

"Alita."

Peter's eyes widened, but the girl put a finger to her lip.

"Do...you know her?" Trini asked.

"...Its a long story." Peter sighed, not being in the mood to discuss. And frankly, neither was Trini.

The dance turned out to be very fun:

Peter, Zack and Billy's...interesting dance moves were a highlight, with the other students taking a slew of photos and videos with and without them.

Jason and Kimberly were crowned King and Queen of the dance...and kissed in front of all, getting their new friends to applaud wildly.

Delphine and Alita bonded over their love of Cyberpunk graphic novels and manga, and Billy and Zack were happy to not be alone among couples.

Peter and Trini danced quite a bit, especially since Trini didn't like some of the other girls looking at Peter. Kimberley was more than happy to help with this.

But the highlight had to be the band performing two songs in particular:

One was a song Peter had heard a few throughout New York: One that celebrated his alter ego's powers, catching thieves and how action was the reward for all he did.

And the other, apparently completely on the spot, celebrated the Power Rangers themselves. With a catchy theme.

(AN: You'll have to use your favourite versions of the Spider-man and Mighty Morphing Power Rangers theme songs here. I don't want to get swarmed with reviews saying I can't use songs in the fic...even though I always give credit!)

"That is going to get old...and I will not care!" Zack beamed, his date smiling in joy and nodding in agreement.

After the dance, Peter web-swung Trini home before he got onto the plane.

"I am going to miss that." She confessed.

"Well, maybe something will come up and we won't have to wait too long before seeing each other again." Peter said comfortingly.

Trini looked down.

"I freaking hate this. You having to go back after this..." She paused, trying to find the right words before swallowing her pride and speaking from the heart. "...amazing time."

"Me too." Peter responded in kind.

"I get why." Trini added. "You're Queens' superhero, you got your own family and friends there. So do I here. And I know this is the first time I've saved the world and I'm probably being selfish but...is it wrong for me to want to keep something good?"

Peter, having been through simular thoughts, nodded in understanding.

"No, you're not wrong. You're human." Peter replied. "And full disclosure even if it may be kinda creepy?"

"Go ahead." Trini teasingly motioned.

"I half want to web you and the others up, web swing all the way to Queen and stop one crime together in front of my school just to show off."

Trini chuckled.

"You call that creepy?" She teased. "I was thinking you wanted to keep me all to yourself."

"I'm not that desperate!" Peter responded, before he became more subdued.

"Hey I wouldn't complain with all the eye...Peter?" Trini started before realizing Peter's demeanour had changed.

"So um...are...are we...Listen, I know its not a great time and we have been talking like it already is, but I have to know...are we...you know...a thing now?" Peter asked.

Trini kissed him. While shocked (again), Peter soon gave into the feelings and held her closer to him before they parted.

"That answer your question?" She smiled.

Peter smiled back and nodded.

SNAP!

The two turned to see that Trini's brothers had taken pictures of what had just occurred.

"This is going on Instagram." One of her brothers smirked.

"GET BACK HERE YOU LITTLE MONSTERS!" Trini roared as she raced after her brothers in rage. "DELETE THAT RIGHT NOW!"

Trini's mother gave Peter another look, then smiled and gave him a thumbs up. Her father followed in suit.

"Thank you, young man."

Peter chuckled sheepishly before Trini came back.

"Welp, I'll have to kill the little monsters later, but I will be damned if I don't see you off." She said, hugging Peter once more. Peter returned the hug.

The limo then honked, indicating that Peter had to head to the airport. Trini then kissed Peter on the lips once more, delighting in his silly and blushing face.

"Keep swinging strong, Pete." She beamed.

Peter dumbly waved as Happy gently dragged him into the limo.

As the plane took off, Peter glanced down at the town he had spent a week in. So many memories came to him; pancakes with his new friends, training them...the near death experience fighting Rita. This may have been a rough week, but a week he would do over again in a heartbeat. And not just because he got a girlfriend out of it.

Still it would be nice to be back home in Queens soon enough

"What the heck happened?!" Ned and May both shouted

"Hi guys."

"Don't you 'Hi guys' me, Peter Benhamin Parker!" May snapped

"Whoa oh, full name. You're in trouble, dude."

Peter glared at his best friend, who shut up.

"Well? I'm waiting." May rose an eye-brow.

"...Is that a new top?" Peter asked, trying to avoid the question.

"Peter." May frowned, not being in the mood for this. Her nephew then noticed a bump on her head, which she realized he noticed. "Oh you see? Well, the reason I got that? It's because you lifted a GIANT ROBOT with your bare hands! After being crushed by it!"

Peter tried to avoid his May's rightful anger.

"That's it! The second you get home, we are marching right into Stark Industries and making Tony give you the most overloaded and protective suit he has! And we won't take anything less! And don't you dare to try to..."

She then took a few deep breathes and returned to her normal demeanour, her exasperation and exhasution finally leaving her.

"I am so happy you're alive."

"I am too." Peter smiled back. "Missed you May."

"Missed you too." May cooed. "Neddie, you can come back in now."

Ned shylly then spoke up.

"So...the fair?"

"I won." Peter shrugged with a smile.

"That's my bookworm!" May beamed. "What did you do?"

"Took an old geigener counter and adjusted it to look for other forms of energy." Peter mused.

"Wait." Ned suddenly interuppted. "Is...Dude, it that a hickey?"

Peter's form tensed and he spied that a little bit of Trini's lipstick was still on his lips.

May's eyes widened along with Ned and they let our squeals of delight.

"Who is she? How did you meet? Where's she form? What kind of grades does she get? What's she like? Does she know you're Spider-man?"

Peter wished he could disappear at this moment.

'This is going to be a looong flight.' He mused with a smile.

It was Saturday, and the Rangers were in detention...again.

"Can I say it?" Zack asked.

"Go ahead." Billy and Jason asked.

"I WISH a monster attacked the school again! There! I said it!"

Kimberly feigned a shock but shared Zack's thoughts. Jason was glaring at the other students in detention, who were now keeping their distance from Billy. Heck, if some of the rumors he had heard were true, a few of the bullies were turning over a new leaf after being humilated by Peter and Billy.

"We have a new student joining us."

"Tommy Oliver."

What the rangers didn't notice was that Tommy's backpack glowed green ever so slightly.

SMPR

"So, anything on your end?" Trini asked as she and Kimberly walked over to the newly reopened I-Hop.

"Not really." Peter said. "honestly though? I'm happy for that. Stopping a super villain makes you appreciate the muggers and smaller criminals. Does that make sense?"

"Well, I'm not a full time hero, but...yeah I can kinda see that." Trini mused, then covering her phone slightly. "I'm getting there, Kim, be patient. Anyways, Kimberly wants me to tell you that she got an A on the assignment thanks to you."

"Tell her no problem."

"Oh and...Jason's folks now."

Peter paused mid webswing and nearly crashed into a wall.

"...Know what...exactly?"

"Everything." Trini said. "His sister was bragging to the other kids how she met Spider-Man, but aside from that, the Scotts are keeping quiet. Jason and his dad patched things up."

Peter smiled happy for his friend just as an alarm rang.

"A hero's duty never ends, does it?" Trini teased. "Go on, we'll catch up later."

On her end, another alarm sounded.

Peter chuckled.

"Go go, Power Ranger."

"Oh not you!" Trini groaned, which increased when Kimberly giggled. "Well then, Spider-Man; go do whatever a spider can and catch...Oh no! I am NOT finishing that sentence!"

Peter chuckled before an explosion rocked the area the alarm was ringing.

"Gotta go, love you bye!" Peter said, pulling his mask over his face.

"Love you too, stay safe!" Trini replied as she ended the call, a smile on her face.

And with that, both raced ro do their jobs; fighting the forces of evil.

But this was not the end of their tale. Oh no, Peter and the Rangers would meet again and face many more threats together...

But those are tales for another day.

END OF ARC 1: Mighty Morphing Web-Crawler

And thus, the first arc of this story comes to a close.

I hope it was satisfactory and worth the wait.

Will be taking some time off to focus on other fics and some real life projects (a book among them) but come the New Year, we shall begin either the Infinity Wars saga or an entirely new arc to bridge the gap between here and then (its undecided at this point).

In order to help move the plot along and ensure our fans don't have to wait too long, we shall be issuing a challenge to other writers; a Battle Angel Alita story. Ths challenge shall be posted tomorrow, but if you want details right away, feel free to PM justimtaylor.

Thank you to all the readers for your patience and love for this story; amid my work, personal and health problems you stayed on and read and reviewed, making this one of if not my most followed stories.
