Chapter 8: Gold

After the catastrophe that was the argument between Damon and I, I was grateful that the original family, were at least comical. The interaction that they shared had never been seen before, at least by me.

Watching the family together, was odd and a bit fascinating to realize that although they were the oldest vampires ever, they were just about as human as the rest of us were . . . well except for the fact that they drank blood. But aside from that it was just two brothers and a sister living together, or at least trying to and not kill each other while at it.

Currently I was sitting in the vast living room still wearing Klaus shirt from the night before. Rebekah had been reading a magazine and Klaus had been texting furiously. When he growled again, Rebekah had nearly thrown her magazine down.

"Why don't you just call whoever you're threatening." The blond bombshell says. "Your threats are always much more potent when they can hear how close you are to start breaking necks and ripping hearts out."

I look over at her as we share a knowing look, because well it's true. I couldn't imagine a threatening text from Klaus like it probably wouldn't read well.

To get the full angry Klaus effect, you had to see his face turned a shade of red, watch the veins in his neck start to throb and finally hear his notorious scream. Other notable mentions would be to hear him talk rather fast and walk even faster.

Klaus places his cell phone in his pocket. "Who says I was threatening anyone?"

Rebekah eyes him. "Your cell phone." She says dryly. "You can leave the two of us alone, I won't bite her." Rebekah says while picking up her tea cup.

Klaus looks to me and I motion for him to go ahead and do whatever it is he was doing, which was probably threatening someone. "I'll be fine." I say shooing him away.

He stands now and looks between the two of us. He's calculating as the wheels all but turn. "Don't kill each other."

He then looks to me, his eyes telling me everything I needed to know. Next thing I know, he's grabbed my hand and thrust me toward him. He looks at me, looks into my eyes as I do the same. And then he plants a kiss to the side of my lips.

When he finally disappears I let out a breath I hadn't even realize I had been holding. Turning around I catch sight of Rebekah who is looking at me thoroughly.

She waits all of five seconds before speaking.

"You and I, we need to talk." She says determined. "Alone."

Elijah

Elijah Mikaelson walked out of the shower and stood in front of his closet. A closet that was filled with various suits in different shades of black, grey and brown. It all looked so boring now, especially after tasting what it felt like to be without self made restrains. Originally he had worn suits because it was his armor of a sort, it was a way to keep the real him buried down, it was also a way to protect himself. Now though, after witnessing the carefree aloofness that was Lucy Bennett, the thought of putting on a suit especially in this weather was tiresome.

He would in fact have to ask Rebekah to accompany him on a shopping trip in the near future because he refused to go back to the boring Elijah of the day before. He could only hope that his sister didn't take all day. In the meantime, Klaus had a host of jeans that were brand new, surly his brother could spare a pair for the day.

Freshly out of the shower, he pads over to the mirror. He had always been the type to zip out, of the house sparing the mirror little to no glance. But after last night, when Lucy Bennett had looked at him with eyes that nearly made him blush, he for the first time in a long time took a good look at himself. His hair had grown longer than it had before. Which was a vast improvement to the shorter do he had sported while in M.F.. Marcel had convinced him to try this new look where the top of hair was much longer and the sides were shaved. It worked, he preferred this look, it even looked good with all of his armor- er his suits.

Towel hanging loosely he get closer to the full sized mirror. He looked, happy, content and that had not been something he had felt for a very long time. For ages he had spent his time cleaning up after his siblings or following them, Klaus around the world. But last night, although he was pushed into spending time with Lucy by Klaus no less, he had a chance to have fun, and unwind even. It was something he rarely did and now he had wished to do it all the more often.

Of course, he had been attracted to Lucy upon seeing her at lunch earlier. It was no secret that the Bennett women were all beautiful. Despite the pain he had caused Bonnie, he could readily admit that she was beautiful. With green eyes and a crocked mouth, along with nerves of steel she had much to be admired. He was positive that Klaus would have his work cut out for him.

As for Lucy.

She was the unexpected for him at least. He was first interested in playing the part, but after spending a few hours with the bronze beauty he realized that he liked her. She was the type of woman that pulled no punches. She was straight forward and he could appreciate that, especially after Katerina and then his soft spot for Elena. Lucy was a breath of fresh air. With bronze skin, dark eyes and a easy going personalty she was the breath of fresh air he didn't realize he needed.

Flashback

He pointed to the sky explaining the last star as he felt eyes on him. Lucy was a woman who was not shy at all. She had been perused him with her eyes for the longest time which only made him bite back a grin.

When he turns to look at her she's got this cute look on her face. "Let me guess, you aren't in to this nearly as much as you thought?"

Lips hitched to the side she speaks. "Quite the contrary, I could listen to read the dictionary and It would still do it for me, however my eyes just found something more interesting to look at."

He can't help but grin. "And what could possibly be more important than the stars on a night like this?" He says motioning to the sky above.

Brown eyes lighten up. "You, of course." She says bringing her legs close together causing his eyes to linger on the hem of her skirt longer then expected. Heat rushes through him, as her perfume fills his nostrils. He had never realized how sweet she smelt before, he blames it on the wind that is beginning to pick up.

When he finally brings his eyes up to hers she sends him a knowing look. "Eyes up here."

He licks his lip. "That dress left me with no choice." He says suavely.

She turns her head away, but he can see the flushed look of her face. When she finally look at him again, her light brown eyes sparkle with a hint of mischievousness.

"It's just I've never seen you out of a suit, in fact I don't think I've ever seen you out at a party." She says with a tilt of the head. "Most people think you're a myth or a mystery wrapped in a impeccable suit." She says picking up her flute and draining it.

He raises an eyebrow. A myth surly that wouldn't do. He was flesh and bone, he was man and it was time that people saw him that way. It was time he saw himself that way. "And what do you think of me, what did you think of me?"

She leans forward, her glass set down. "I thought you were a very hot myth, maybe an even better mystery to unfold, you'd probably make an even hotter statue!" She says teasingly. He can only grin because this woman certainly was what he needed.

He finds himself leaning close as well. "We will, of course have to change that consensus of me being anything but Elijah."

She now raises her own eyebrow up surprised by his words. "And how do you plan on doing that?" She asks still leaning close to him.

His hand itch to touch her buttery soft skin, but he can show restraint. "How about a kiss?" He asks and Lucy smiles the most brilliant smile he's ever seen.

"Are you asking?" She asks her voice sounding smooth.

He reaches out to touch her shoulder. "Yes." Pause. "Of course I might need a picture to capture this moment, if you're okay with it?" He says pulling his phone out.

Amused she grabs a hold of his shirt and pulls him her way. "You'll have to send me a copy of the picture of course."

"Done."

Seconds later he's seeing stars and manages to capture it all.

End of flashback

He rubs his lips a hint of a smile on his lips, when Niklaus waltzes into his room, brows furrowed, lips tight. He knows that means trouble.

"We," Niklaus starts to say before stopping. "Have a problem."

He turns around, towel still hanging low. "Yes, I need new clothes and I need to borrow a pair of your jeans until I get my own.

The look on his younger brothers face is priceless though Klaus quickly agrees.

"Fine." Klaus says throwing his hands up in the air. "You can borrow some jeans, but in return I need your help."

He lets out a sigh. "Fine, but whatever it is better not interfere in my own plans for the day."

He had thought about sending Lucy flowers, maybe it was too early for that but women loved flowers. Maybe attached to the flowers he'd attach a note asking if she wanted to get a drink sometime. That seemed just about right. But for right now, he needed to find some clothes.

"Come on, Elijah." Klaus calls over his shoulder. "We don't have all day, do you need a shirt too?"

He follows behind. "Yes! But I would rather not wear a henley."

Klaus is cackling. "You get what I give you!"

He rolls brown eyes. His brother was such a control freak.

Bonnie and Rebekah

No sooner than Klaus had left, Rebekah had turned to me with inquisitive eyes. I knew that look, I grew up with Caroline Forbes as a best friend and whenever she wanted to know something she had that same look in her cornflower blue eyes. I made a mental note to call Caroline because she would definitely have a few things to say about the state I found my current relationships in.

"Would you like some tea?" Rebekah asks causing me to look over at her. I realize that this was an olive branch on her part and decide to do the same. I mean, really we hadn't had much conversation in the past, she was too busy trying to one up Elena and Caroline. And then she had that fling with Matt. I had been off doing what I thought was for the greater good at the time. A lot of good that actually did for me.

I make a move to sit up straighter in the plush chair which probably cost more than my car. "Yeah, that would be nice."

Rebekah walks over to the tea cart and pours the steaming liquid into the tea cup. She puts three sugar cubes and then hands it over to me. "Here, you go." She says handing me the teacup.

I smile and take it graciously. The cup is poised at my lips as Rebekah returns to her seat all the while keeping a good eye on me.

"Thank you, for having your friend check me out." I say bringing the tea cup down. "Her help could have been a life or death matter, so" Pause. "I just want to say thank you." I finish. This time I really do take a sip of the tea and find that it's one that I actually like. I've been a bit of tea snob since Grams and I had our first tea party with actual tea.

Rebekah continues to eye me for mere moments before she tosses her hair over her shoulder. "Well, we couldn't have the witch who brokered the deal between my family and the witches here, hurt on our watch." Pause. "It would cause an uproar, a fight if you will and that's not what we want at this time in our lives."

I sip my tea and mutter. "You and me both."

The blond bombshell brings her feet up underneath her and soon turns in my direction. "Alright, enough with the pleasantries, what's your intentions with my brother?" She asks eyes narrowed. "Because the last time I saw you, you hated him and vice versa and now you're all entangled." She frowns. She still cant believe the two of them are swapping spit, let alone other bodily fluids.

I wasn't surprised that the conversation had turned into Klaus because everyone including myself was wondering what was going on. I was just, for once going with the flow of things and it seemed the flow had taken me to Klaus. I bring the teacup up to my mouth hiding the some of my face as I speak. "I plan to ride it till the wheels for off." I say causing Rebekah to splutter. "Whatever it is." I say matter a ghost of a smile on my lips.

The blond recovers fast. "I'm all for getting yours as every woman should, but" she says her voice getting lower. I recognized the set up of a threat when I saw one. "If I find out that you're up to something or that you manage to hurt him, the lives Elena ruined will pale in comparison to what I will do the people you love." She says her eyes darkening. "I'll even go after loves reject of a best friend of yours."

That did it. I didn't like to be threatened.

Placing the teacup down I look at the blond our eyes meeting. "Spoken like a true Mikaelson." I snip. "The first thing you do is lay threats out as if you're the only bunch that can threaten people." I tilt my head to the side. "Let me tell you one thing, don't come for me." I say causing blue eyes to widen. "Whatever is going on between Klaus and I, is just that, between us."

Impressed the vampire leans forward. "What happened to you, you aren't the same girl from that bum town you loved so much." Smile. "You've always had spine, claws as well but now you've got an attitude to match it."

I place my hair behind my ear and look up. "I died, and I died too many times at that. I've been kicked down, betrayed, hurt and filled with enough pain to last a thousand years."

Rebekah sobers at those words.

"And right now, in this moment in time, I just wanna have fun and that fun includes your brother."

BB-BB-BB

Sometime later breakfast is served which consisted of too much food for this girl to eat. However, the rumble in my tummy told me that I needed to at least eat something. I hadn't eaten since lunch yesterday and a girl needed nourishment.

So, I sat amongst the Mikaelson family as we waited for Marcel to join us. The chef had prepared shrimp and grits, ham, biscuits and eggs.

"Where is he?" Klaus says taking a seat in the same place he had sat when we had dinner together.

Rebekah who had been looking at her phone peers up."Do I look like his keeper?"

Elijah who is sitting at the end of the table snorts. He's still out of his suit and the move is so uncharacteristic of him that I can't stop keep peaking over at him. "Since the two of you started dating again you always seems to know where he is." Elijah grins. "It must be love." He hitches his lips up and the gesture reminds me of Klaus. "Or you're taking to stalking again."

Rebekah rolls her eyes, though she has a small smile on her lips. "Says the man that was over the moon over a kiss." Rebekah chides and even I can't help but snicker at her words because Elijah was acting like he was bitten by the love bug himself.

I watch as Klaus chimes in causing my amusement level to only heighten. Who knew the originals were like a normal family. I had always seen them as a group of villain but it seemed that they were just like everyone else. The only difference between them and everyone else was that they did whatever they wanted and cared little of what anyone else thought. I needed to take note.

"Brother you did nearly rip open the antique door that I paid for, and nearly broke it, all the while dreamily sprouting about a kiss." Klaus scoffs causing Elijah to turn his head so quick that I thought he snapped it himself. "Has it been that long Elijah?" Klaus taunts his head wagging side to side tauntingly.

Elijah stands at once he peers at each of his siblings before settling on where Klaus and I are sitting. "Oh please!" Elijah says a glint in his eyes I've never seen. "Must we rehash things Niklaus," Elijah sing songs. "I have receipts."

Klaus manages to look unaffected by the sudden outburst. No instead he grins that slow, sexy grin of his. "Touche," He says lounging back. "It seems like that kiss made a man out of you."

All at once the original family is talking at the same time as they make fun of each other, the joking only comes to a halt when Marcel walks in a box of pastries with him.

"Marcel, you've nearly missed the news, Elijah got a kiss last night." Klaus says as his eyes dance.

Marcel pulls out his chair. "Where?" He asks a grin wide on his face. He looks over to Elijah who only sinks into his chair.

"You're awful late." Elijah says as he signals for the servers to begin placing stacks of food on the breakfast plates.

Marcel sits next to Rebekah who looks pleased. "I had shit to do but I'm here now."

Waving his hand around Klaus speaks. "Good thing is that you're here now, poor Bonnie is practically starving waiting for you."

Marcel takes a good look at me. "Sorry about that."

I shrug. "No problem. I wasn't that hungry anyway."

At that precise moment my stomach decides to growl loud.

Klaus leans close to me, although he doesn't have to. "You were saying love?"

I nudge him which only causes his dimples to show.

Marcel claps his hands together. "Well then, lets bow our heads in grace."

BB-KM-BK

After breakfast with the original family, my mind is spent. Conversation had been light. Marcel and Rebekah had done most of the talking, Marcel asking most of the questions. Elijah had been eating doughnuts and drinking coffee. Every once in a while he would run his hand through his hair and smile. Which was creepy. However the recent change in his attire made him look so good. I may not have liked him all that much but I could at least admit, he was good looking.

As for Klaus, I felt his eyes all over me. It was like he wanted to say something and he was about to say something but then he remembered his family was sitting with us. Instead he kept looking at his phone texting like a mad man. As for me, I ate my grits and shrimp like a woman starved. I hadn't eaten since the day before and that had been at lunch so this was just what I needed.

"So, Bonnie?" Marcel asks conversationally. "What brought you here to our neck of the woods?"

I put my spoon down. The reason I was always away from home was because as much as I loved that place, I hated it as well. "I kept dying, and I was tired of it." I say causing everyone to look up at me. "I needed to put space between me and home and most importantly the people that brought me down." I chuckled to myself. "So me and Damon," Swallow. "We decided to embark on this adventure if you will." pause. I put my hair behind my ear. "We'd spin the globe around and pick a place, this just happen to be the place."

My face must have displayed how betrayed I felt because soon I felt sympathetic eyes on me.

I close my eyes. My fight with my friend still stung, in fact I don't know even know if we were still friends especially right now. I was so disappointed in Damon right now, I couldn't even bare to look at him.

"It's fine." I say picking up my napkin and wiping my mouth. I toss it on my plate my appetite suddenly lost.

"Bonnie?" Klaus calls causing me to look over at him. "Come with me, I wanna show you something." He says rising as I follow.

BB-KM-BK

When we reach his bedroom, a big box rest on the bed, a bow on it.

"What's this?" I ask. I don't have to turn around because Klaus is behind me, his hands on my hip.

I lift open the box and smother a grin at the very practical things that are in it.

It appears that while Klaus was off typing furiously he gotten some things done. The first had been a box of toiletries for yours truly. In the box a toothbrush lye, along with toothpaste, deodorant, shower gel which was oddly the kind I used and a pink showercap.

When I turn around he's grinning. I hold up the shower cap. "What, did you think you were the first black woman in my bed?" He says tugging on my hair causing my head to snap up at him. "How cute." He says his mouth descending on mine.

"Is this what you give all the girls, or am I special?" I ask pulling back, only for him to continue to move forward.

In a flash he's lifting up my...er his shirt. "I'll have to taste you again to make sure." He leans down and licks a patch a skin causing my toes to curl. The next thing I know is I'm on my back and he's hovering over me that look in his eye.

He rest his forearms on either side of my face and bares down on me with eyes that are blue as the ocean. "You defended me today, against your best friend." Pause. "Why?"

I knew why I believed Klaus hadn't done this, it wasn't his style simple as that. "You don't go behind peoples back, you go straight for the heart. Plus," I say wrapping my arms around his neck. "You like to tell everyone what you want to do to them before doing them."

He grins slowly, now leaning down so his mouth is against my ear. "Would you like to know what I plan to do to you Bonnie?"

I bite my lip as his silky voice sends trembles up and down my spine. "I'm listening."

"I plan to leave you breathless, every single time." He then proceeds to lick the outer shell of my ear. "But, that won't happen now, now you're going to go take a nice long bath, and then I'll drop you off at your cousins house."

I wrap my legs around his waist. "Are you sure about that?"

He lets out a stifled groan. "I'm, positive." He nearly grits. "But later. After I take you out tonight, all bets are off." His eyes shift from vampire blue to hybrid yellow and back again.

"You're so sure of yourself." I muse my hand coming out to touch his face.

"I know what you want." He says rocking into me, his bottoms sliding against my skin. "But first, you need to have another sip of big daddies blood, just to make sure everything is completely healed."

I can't help but wrinkle my nose. "You do know, I was saying that for that dudes benefit."

He winks while biting into his wrist. "Sure you were, love."

I watch as the blood drips from his wound and place my lips on it. I only stop when he starts moaning.

Grinning, I slide from under him. "I think that bath sounds amazing right now." I say hopping out of the bed leaving a chuckling hybrid by himself.

Once I make it to the bathroom I hear Klaus saying. "If you keep doing what you're doing, you might get a silk scarf next time love."

Damon

The first place he had gone after his argument with Bonnie had been to see his only friend here, which was Vincent. They had agreed to meet at a café that was popular for selling sweets. He mentally made a note to get a least everything on the menu, or at least the things he knew Bonnie would love. He could get her a iced coffee, but the whipped cream might melt.

When he finds Vincent, the warlock is reading a book by the window, a slice of banana pie is sitting in front of him. Along with a variety of pie slices. "You sounded like hell what happen?" The warlock asks, not looking up from his book.

"Aww Vince, I think I fucked up." He says sliding into the chair.

Immediately the warlock looked up. "What happened?"

He chewed on his bottom lip, looked left and then right. "Can you make this conversation a bit more private?" He asks causing the warlock to wave his hand around silencing everyone around them and the conversation they are sharing. "Klaus dick-hypnotized Bonnie." he nearly cries out.

Vincent covers his eyes with his hand. "Tell me, you didn't tell her that?"

He leans back further into his chair. "I did. I wasn't going to lie to her! He also had her attacked last night to play hero and I told her all about that too."

Vincent closed his book. He had to admit he had heard some things about Klaus, but upon seeing he and Bonnie together last night, it didn't fit the mood they were giving off. "Let me guess, she didn't believe you."

He shakes his head. "No."

Vincent pushes the banana pie in his direction, "Eat up, you look like you need it." He says observing the vampire for a bit. He looked so down and out, something else must have happen. "Did anything else happen?"

He sighed picking at the whipped cream. "I got scared, I saw her with him, and that stupid grin on his face and I thought I was losing her," He places his fork down. "I panicked and I used everything Klaus had done back home to the people she cared about against her." he licks his lips. "But what I think really did it, was the fact that I may have mentioned her pervious Achilles heel and the reason why everything bad had ever happen to her," He pauses again. "Her former best friend and my..." He didn't know what to call Elena. "My unhealthy addiction a.k.a Elena Gilbert."

Vincent pulled a plate in front of him and started eating some sweet potato pie. "Well shit man."

"She thought, I was making it about Elena which is not uncommon for me, but this time I wasn't trying to do that- I just wanted her to snap out of it." He sighs. "It was the wrong move."

Vincent swallows hard. "Let me guess, it only made things worst?"

He nods. "She's pissed off." He says chuckling though it sounds hollow. "She hasn't been that mad at me in years, but" He pauses and fiddles with his hands. "What makes it worst is that she wants space." He fiddles with his day walking ring nervous at the thought of what could happen, he couldn't lose Bonnie, not Bonnie. "I can't lose her Vince, she means the world to me."

The warlock had never seen anyone more distraught than the vampire in front of him. "Well then, you're going to have to give her what she wants right now." He says to the forlorn vampire. "You have to let whatever is going on between she and Klaus happen and then if it crumbles then it crumbles and if not, you might have to get use to a new reality."

The vampire swallows hard. "The look she gave me, it nearly killed me. I can't imagine life without her."

Vincent nods accordingly. "The good thing is she's okay, and as long as she's okay then you guys can be okay too."

He lets out a sigh. Vincent is right! He and Bonnie had been through a lot together, and they had made it through all of it. This was just another stepping stone, another page in the story that was the two of them. They might even turn out to be one of the greatest love stories ever written.

"I owe you one man." He says spirits lifted.

Vince goes back to his plate. "Yes, yes you do. And you'll have to play wing man to me the next time we go out."

"Deal."

"Oh and Damon, I suspect that if you want to ever get your chance with Bonnie, you might want to get your shit together." Vincent says looking him up and down. "You're a bonafide mess."

He chuckles to himself. "I get that a lot." he says nodding. "But you're right. I'll work on that after I'm your wing man."

Bonnie

When we make it to Lucy's house I'm wearing an outfit that probably cost more money than the combined items of clothes I had brought with me for this vacation. The outfit is cute though. I have on a red and white polka dot wrap shirt, dark blue jeans and red flats. It's very 1950's though it does look very cute.

Thankfully, my hair had been saved by the shower cap, so it's still straight as for my lips, a bold shade of red is adorning them.

"You don't have to walk me to the door." I say as Klaus follows close behind me.

"Nonsense, I am the upmost gentleman." Klaus says his eyes dancing.

I send him a look which only causes him to dimple my way. "Is that why you've been staring at my chest the whole time?"

All at once he wraps his arms around me, his face nuzzling my cleavage. My hands scratch his scalp as his lips move further up. "Klaus, what about him?"

"Turn around Josh." He mumbles. His lips now on my neck.

I pull his face up and capture his lips. I don't know what made him more attractive to me, the fact that he saved me, or the fact that his blood was still inside of me. Either way, I couldn't get enough of him.

"You taste sweeter each time." Klaus whispers pulling back to look me in the eyes. He kicks my legs apart and inserts one knee between the two of us. "When I dine on you again, your going have to pry me away from you." He licks his lips. "I have a ravenous hunger for all of the sweetness you have to offer."

His voice is laced with want as his knee slides against me. Poor Josh, he was witnessing this and what about the neighbors and oh goodness he had that wild look in his eye, which could mean anything. And here I was debating if I should just jump him right now, or drag him back to the car. He had unlocked something so deep, so primal inside of me, it was want and need. It something that I had never felt on that kind of level.

"Can you read my mind?" I ask while Klaus is pressed against me. "Do you know what I want to do?" I ask, my voice coming out heated.

His eyes light up a hint of a grin touching his lips. "Yes, I can." He says his voice deep. "But you're a good girl and I–" He pauses and touches my bottom lip. "I'm trying to be a good guy and not take you outside of your cousins home."

That made me laugh and soon he's laughing too. It was the seriousness of his voice that did it.

Seconds later, Lucy swings open the door a smirk on her own lips.

"Well since that's settled." Lucy says handing over a twenty dollar bill to her guest. "You wanna tell me why the to of you were nearly humping on my doorstop?" Lucy asks with Danny her hair dresser waving over at us.

Klaus and I share a look and then untangle ourselves from one another. I fix my shirt, while he just seems to keep a light grin on his lips. He does, move to stand behind me after Lucy looked him up and down and then looked at me her eyes enlarged. Yeah, I knew what she had seen.

Clearing my throat, Lucy chuckles at my subtle change in direction, while I can feel Klaus laughing behind me, he's like full belly laughing because his body is shaking like crazy. "Long story short, Damon and I are on a break."

Her mouth hangs open for only a second before Lucy is ushering me in. Of course, Klaus does not follow. "Sorry dimples, I would but I don't know you like that." Lucy says against the door.

"That's fine." Klaus says looking past Lucy at me. "Josh will be here as your personal guard, he goes where you go, and that's the end of it." He says flashing a smile at the end. "I've got business to take care, so I'll see you tonight." Klaus says walking backwards. "Oh and love, remember what I promised."

I watch as he leaves and once he does Lucy turns to me a question formed on her eyebrows.

"Okay, I need details of what happen, and I need them now?"

I walk further into the house and realize that today was her day with Danny where they caught up on their favorite soap operas.

I open my mouth and then looked to Danny who was probably keeping track of what just happened.

Lucy and I ambush him immediately. "Danny, I know this is your day with Luce, but I'm in need of my cousin." I say with a pout.

"And," Lucy says sitting on the other side of Danny. "I'm in need of the details."

Danny stands at once. "Fine!" He holds his finger up. But I need at least something juicy to get me through missing my soap marathon. I heard you were with Elijah last night Luce..."

Lucy shakes her head. "Next." She says firmly, so firmly that Danny drops it before looking over at me.

"Bon," He says pushing my hair off my shoulders. "Remember, I gave you those luscious layers and that swoop bang that adorns that pretty face of yours."

I look to the side and then motion for him to go on with his question.

"Tell me, is he as big as we all think he is?" Danny asks.

Two sets of eyes watch me and I just throw my hands in the air because screw it. "Bigger."

Danny sheds a fake tear and wipes the side of his eye. "Thank you Bon." He says bouncing out the house.

When he closes the door and we see him drive off Lucy turns to me. "What do you want to know?" I ask ready to spill everything to her.

"Everything." Lucy twitches her lips. "But first, do you need an ice pack?"

Klaus

When he returns home, he heads straight for his study. He had expected a report from someone any time now. He may have been grinning and even having fun with Bonnie earlier, but that had been then and this was now. Whoever attacked her was still on the loose and he planned on ripping he or she apart very slowly.

"I thought that was you," Marcel says walking into the room. "The house always shakes when you're angry." He chuckles. "I guess it's because you constantly slam doors."

He levels his son with a look. "Did any of your guys find anything?"

Marcel sits in a chair. "No. But you still have your guys who are searching for answers. And Elijah has Aya, that girl is able to find everything."

Elijah walks in, his phone plastered to a cell phone. "How is she?" He asks brown eyes venturing his way.

He takes a seat at his desk. "She's fine, I just dropped her off at Lucy's."

Suddenly his brother who had been listening to Aya talk about one thing or another puts the phone down and looks over at him. "You saw Lucy?"

He only nods, his lips twitching.

"Did she say anything about me?" Elijah asks his face hopeful.

He shakes his head. "Nope, I think she was trying to figure out if I was going to take Bonnie against her door or drag her back to the car."

Elijah only squints. "You have a one track mind Niklaus."

Marcel is cracking up in his chair. "You're one to talk, you heard the name Lucy and your face lit up,"

Elijah looks down, feeling his face grow hot.

"Are you blushing?" Marcel asks Elijah causing the room to erupt in laughter.

What in the world had they all gotten themselves in.

It's only when Rebekah comes into the room, do the men straighten up and stop laughing.

"I think I've found something." Rebekah says once the men have calmed down. "The shaman that helped to check Bonnie out, she had a premonition, of a vampire/witch that were one in the same.

From his position behind his desk he growled. That could be anyone. But it was still a lead no less. Right now, Josh was guarding Bonnie and he still had a reward out for more information about what happen to Bonnie. He didn't care if it were witch, vampire, wolf, or any other thing that went bump in the night. They made a mistake of attacking her.

Deep in the bayou

Across the bayou a man sits at a nearby table eyeing his phone waiting for it to ring and when it does he scoops it up quickly.

"You did good."

He chuckles. "Good, I nearly killed her."

"Well, you know as well as I do that nearly is not quite so." She breathes heavy into the phone. "Still feeling the effects of it all?" She asks her tone mocking.

He grunts holding the side of his own head. "I'm fine." He says quickly.

"Good." She says a smile in her voice. "We're going to drag this out slowly and in the end,"

"Well both get what we want." He finishes, pushing end to the phone call.
