" It's the others. " Luffy affirmed.

"DAMN IT!" Sanji shouted, throwing the branch he was holding. "I knew I should never have let them go alone. "

He immediately headed in the direction the scream was coming from and began to disappear into the vegetation.

"Let's go, Tra-o." Luffy shouted, running after the blond.

Seizing his sword, Law turned to Nami and Shirahoshi, before declaring.

"We have no choice! If the Andrewsarchus ever comes here, go into the water! Hopefully, this monster won't follow you."

"Wait, Luffy…" Nami started, pretending to follow them.

"Stay there." Luffy ordered, before disappearing into the forest, along with Sanji and Law.

Running behind him and the blond, Law asked.

"Even three of us won't stand up to this monster! Does anyone have a plan?"

" At the moment, we don't even know what attacked them. " Sanji retorted.

"You don't have to be a genius to know that." Law retorted.

"Are you sure we're running in the right direction?" Luffy asked, trying to find his bearings in the middle of the forest.

"How do you want us to know?" Sanji questioned him. "The only way to find them quickly is to hear them scream."

"If you're quiet for two seconds, we might be able to hear their voices." Law shouted.

"You talk as much as we do."

Suddenly stopping, and trying to hear his companions, Sanji finally shouted.

"Hey, guys, answer me! PUDDING-CHAN! APOO! KOZA!"

No answer reached his ears.

" Aren't they near here? " Luffy wondered.

"This forest is vast." Law affirmed. "Besides, nothing tells us that they are still alive."

"Hey, what are you implying?" Sanji roared.

"You moron! Don't get angry for so little."

Suddenly, Luffy held his nose.

" It stinks."

" Huh ? "

"It smells of mold! »

Sniffing the air, Sanji and Law had no trouble smelling that horrible smell. And immediately, Sanji recognized her.

"That smell...is that of the Andrewsarchus."

"Is that his smell?" Law wondered.

Ignoring her question, Sanji ran to where the smell was coming from.

After running for about sixty meters and clearing all the bushes and obstacles on our way, he was able to find himself facing a combat scene.

The andrewsarchus he had seen earlier in the day stood a few feet away from him and held the hem of Apoo's shirt between its jaws. The poor high school boy was floating a meter above the ground, not to mention that the monster was shaking him in all directions, like it had done with the turtle.

"Let go of me, asshole." Apoo roared, attempting to punch its muzzle.

At the monster's feet, petrified with fear, Koza stood motionless, while Pudding knelt behind him.

"Apoo got caught." Luffy remarked, arriving with Law.

At that moment, it saw Sanji begin to tremble in fear. Seeing the monster again reminded him of the plane carnage.

"This monster...it's going to kill us."

" Hey, Sanji. "

"What… what do we have to do?" Sanji asked, trying painfully to calm the multiple tremors that had taken hold of him. "We're going to get eaten! We can't... We can't defeat this monster."

Suddenly, Luffy's fist hit his cheek, knocking him to the ground.

" That ... ? "

"Stop being scared." Luffy roared, fist still clenched. "Your friends are in danger."

Then, he rushed towards the monster, followed by Law.

"Mugiwara, left! I'm going right."

At this moment, the Andrewsarchus saw them take two different directions, before ending up at its ribs. Not knowing who to attack first, it felt Luffy punch it in its side. Even though the attack didn't hurt it, it growled in frustration.

But before turning to the impertinent, it saw Law draw its saber and stare at its other side. As if sensing the true danger of their strategy, it turned to him and swung its paw in his direction.

Unable to hurt it before he did, Law jumped back to avoid being ripped open by its claws. Nevertheless, still holding Apoo between its teeth, it turned its head in Law's direction, suddenly approaching him.

"Damn critter." Law growled, stepping back.

Nevertheless, Luffy's fist hit the monster's left rear leg.

"Get out."

Unfortunately, in retaliation, the monster lifted its paw, before kicking Luffy backwards. Seeing him fall to the ground, Sanji looked up to see Law took refuge behind a tree trunk, while the monster tried to dislodge him. Using his saber to push it back, Law had no chance of grabbing Apoo, who looked like a puppet between the monster's jaws.

"Damn it..." Sanji growled, clenching his fists. " DAMN IT! DAAMMMMNNNN IIITTTT!"

Then he rushed towards the animal and lifted his leg towards it.

"Let him go."

Feeling Sanji's foot hit its cheek, the Andrewsarchus roared and opened its jaws. And no sooner did Apoo fall to the ground than Sanji grabbed his arm.

"Let's go." Sanji ordered.

Nevertheless, the monster's jaws were already open in front of him. But before they could close them, the end of Law's sword nicked part of its face, gouging out one of its eyes.

Immediately, a roar shook the entire area, as the monster felt blood running down its face. Shaking its huge head, it suddenly hit Law and threw him sideways, forcing him to drop his saber.

But before the Andrewsarchus could take advantage of this advantage, Luffy's silhouette found itself above its head and the boy landed on its jaws before clenching them with all his might.

"What's he doing?" Apoo wondered, standing up.

" The power he has to open his jaws must not be very great!" It would therefore suffice to block them when they are closed to prevent him from using them. »

Thinking back to his own words, Koza cried out.

"He's trying to keep it from opening its jaws."

Surprised to see someone grab it this way, the creature remained motionless for a few moments, before starting to growl, a sign of displeasure. A veritable rodeo began as the monster shook its head violently, trying to scratch its muzzle with its paws.

Unable to reach Luffy, it could only growl and struggle more.

" I won't let you go. " Luffy retorted.

Instantly standing up, Law groaned, feeling blood dripping from a wound in his forehead. Seeing his comrade in a bad position, he saw the others just watching him, remaining motionless.

"What are you idiots doing? Hurry up. We have to go."

Coming to his senses, Sanji pushed Apoo in front of him, before shouting.

"To the beach! Quick!"

Imitating him, Koza helped Pudding up, before running as well. Seeing the trio running away, Law and Sanji then turned to Luffy who was having more and more trouble controlling the monster.

" Strawhat-ya, let it go." Law ordered him.

At that moment, the creature managed to perform a head movement stronger than the previous ones and ejected Luffy three meters away. Only able to scream, the high school student landed on his back in some bushes and began to rage.

" Damn it. "

Now free to move, the andrewsarchus decided to launch the counterattack. Annoyed with them, it started rolling up its chops to show off its huge canines to Sanji and Law. The monster had teeth as long as a knife and the two boys really doubted that it didn't know how to use them.

Wanting to grab his sword, Law noticed that he no longer had it on him.

"There, we have a problem." He asserted, only being able to step back.

Suddenly, uttering a cry of fear, Luffy came out of the bush where he was, before passing between the two boys, to run towards the beach.

" RUUUUUNNNNNNN ! "

He didn't have to repeat it twice for his two friends to imitate him.

This plan was certainly not the best. Still, they were much more likely to have just a casualty or two running away, instead of the entire group fighting against this killing machine that seemed to be very angry with them.

Running at full speed, hearing the sound of the monster's footsteps, Luffy cried out as he ran, as he saw Apoo and the others running in front of him.

" RUUUUUNNNNN ! RUUUUUUNNNNNN !

"SHUT UP!" Sanji and Law roared, running after him.

Luckily for them, the andrewsarchus was not built for running with its disproportionate body, which slowed it down. In addition, its large size was a handicap to it in an environment full of obstacles and it had to brake regularly in order to be able to pass between certain trees, while the passage was far too narrow for it. More than once, it failed to find itself wedged between two trees or to collapse by bumping into a large root.

"Perfect." Sanji rejoiced, looking behind him. "It can't catch us in this forest. "

However, seeming to be even more annoyed to see its prey becoming able to run faster than it, it decided to change its technique and rushed, like a cannonball. Using its disability as an advantage, it let its huge body pulverize the obstacles in front of it, instead of around them.

"It never gives up or what?" Law roared.

Fortunately for them, a source of light invades the forest and the high school students eventually reach the beach. However, it was still too early to claim victory. The worst was coming because now they had to run on the beach and reach the sea to try to get to safety. Unfortunately, running that distance on flat ground with no obstacles in its path would allow the andrewsarchus to catch up with them and grab one of us. Now was not the time to slow down at all.

Being right in front of the ocean, Nami and Shirahoshi backed away upon seeing the monster and entered the ocean, while encouraging others to follow suit.

"Come on, run."

"Quick! The ocean is right in front of you! You can make it."

Nevertheless, seized with a bad feeling, Koza asked.

"Who thinks this monster can swim?"

"We don't have time to worry about that." Apoo retorted. "Anyway, it couldn't be more dangerous in the water than on land."

"AHHHHHHH! IT'S CATCHING US!" Luffy shouted.

Can only see that he was right, Law almost felt the breath of the creature touch his neck. He wanted to accelerate, but he couldn't. Not only was he incapable of it but, in addition, his body was starting to get tired. His legs were getting heavier and heavier and his lungs were on fire. The running in the forest had exhausted him and he had almost no strength left in him.

Right now, Law regretted the long years he had denigrated training his body in order to study. On an island as dangerous as this, without any weapon, he felt helpless, while he had the impression that the monster had targeted him.

"I'm going to… die?" He wondered, not wanting to turn around to find out how far away he was from the predator.

Suddenly, passing near the raft and all the materials that was on the ground, Luffy stopped before grabbing a big branch. Then, turning around, he let Sanji and Law pass in front of him, before rushing at the monster, and trying to punch it in the face.

"You shall not eat my friends."

"FOOL!" Law roared, stopping.

"Luffy, what are you doing?" Nami panicked, seeing him face the monster.

"Swim!" Luffy shouted, running around the monster. "Swim as far as you can! Don't worry ! I take care of him. "

But already, Luffy jumped back, while the monster's paw tried to hit him. Now that he was alone, the Andrewsarchus targeted him and considered him just tough prey, one it could kill just if it managed to pin him between its jaws.

"You'll never be able to eat me." Luffy retorted. "I will defeat you and leave this island with my friends." Luffy shouted.

" LUFFY-SAN ! " Shouted Shirahoshi.

"THIS IDIOT!" Nami shouted, pretending to come out of the water.

"Stop." Koza shouted, joining them, along with Pudding. "You can't do anything against this monster."

"Do you want to give up on Luffy?" The redhead roared.

"He's got a better chance of getting out of this than if we came to help him." Koza retorted. "What would you hope to do to help her?"

Standing behind them, Pudding remained silent. But, looking down, she had a strange feeling. She felt like something was swimming around them. Indeed, hidden under the water, a rather slender figure was slaloming between Koza and Nami's legs, without them noticing.

"THERE'S A MONSTER." She cried, stepping back.

"What…?" Nami began, seeing a multitude of bubbles come out of the water in front of her.

A mass suddenly surged towards her and hit her like a missile.

"What is that?" Shirahoshi yelled, seeing the girl, perform a glide under the impact of the blow, followed by a creature that had suddenly appeared.

"An animal jumped out of the water?" Koza wondered, as the two bodies disappeared under the water.

The creature, responsible for this surprise arrival, had reappeared on the surface and was holding one of Nami's arms, between its pair of jaws. To describe this animal precisely, would say that it looked very much like a cross between a dog and a crocodile. The proof was that it had webbed feet and barbels at the level of its muzzle. Having had no time to dodge its charge, the poor girl had been stunned by its surprise attack and couldn't make a move to fight back. Her attacker, on the other hand, started pulling her away from Koza and Shirahoshi.

"A BINDER?" cried Shirahoshi.

Hearing her cry, Law and Sanji turned to see Nami's bad situation.

"NAMI-SWAN! What the hell is that?"

"Ambulocetus." Law affirmed. "It has a dog's head with a jaw resembling that of a crocodile and has a body and tail similar to the latter but covered with fur! It is a dangerous and aggressive species! It must surely train its prey underwater in order to drown them."

Now certain that no one was going to stop it, the predator proved he was right, as it headed out to sea, taking Nami with it.

Seeing this as well, Luffy turned his gaze to the ocean.

" NAMI ! "

Pretending to run to help her, he allowed his opponent to attack him from behind. But before it could bite him, two clubs hit its face, stopping it in an instant. Having appeared in front of it, a figure then performed an aerial somersault, before landing on its feet.

"CHECK IT OUT!" Apoo yelled, as he clutched two large cudgel-like pieces of wood. "Hey, Mugiwara, we have to get rid of it before we go in the water."

Again, the Andrewsarchus roared in annoyance, and stared at the four boys who were still on the beach. Leaving the ocean, because of the dangers it abounded, Koza, Shirahoshi and Pudding looked at the monster in awe, while the Ambulocetus took the opportunity to leave with Nami.

" At this rate, we're going to get slaughtered. " Koza noted. "We can't run away from it! In the forest, this monster will devour us! And in the water, other aquatic carnivores must be waiting impatiently for us to come to them to devour us too."

"But then...we're trapped." Shirahoshi frightened.

"Sanji-kun." Pudding cried, clinging to his arm.

Also scared, Luffy didn't know what to do, while each of his friends was now threatened with being killed at any moment.

" So this time it's really over?" Everyone is going to die one way or another? »

An idea then clicked in his head and he immediately turned to the raft. The object, after a day of repairs, had left its appearance of wreckage but was far from being one hundred percent safe. The idea he had was really risky but they had no choice.

" It's time to see if our luck has returned! Either we sink or we stay alive! »

Then picking up his big branch that he had dropped on the ground, he got back in front of the monster, shouting all the time.

"Guys, we have to act fast."
