Hello everyone and welcome to Chapter 13 of Naruto: The Dark Prince.
Okay first like I said from the last chapter there will be a time-skip of one month to the start of the 3rd exam. Naruto will have a new outfit, he will be wearing what the Dragons gave him which i will be describing in the chapter.
I'm going to be changing somethings, first with the Dragon Arts from last chapter where I made Flare while in her human form use hand signs to use her Dragon art, im going to make it to where you don't have to use hand signs to do Dragon arts for both the Dragons and the summoner because Dragons are unique in the Shinobi world and so they have a unique way of using thier Dragon arts such as not using hand signs.
The black sword with the gem on the guard he got from the Dragons as a bonus, he will be using that as well since he was taught how to wield a sword by Keiran and he will know a couple of sword skills.
Also I forgot to mention that when Naruto sighed the Dragons scroll he received a Dragon mark on his back indicating that he is associated with the Dragons.
Before I forget, if you have any questions regarding any chapters or my story, I will be happy to answer with the best of my abilities.
Anyway with out further ado lets start the chapter.
Chapter 13: Naruto's True Strength
(Time-Skip: one month – Chunin Exam Stadium)
It was a busy day today in Konoha. People from all around had come to watch the final part of the Chunin Exams and were feeling excited about the coming matches. Some more than others since it was said that Naruto would be fighting Neji, a Hyuuga prodigy and Sasuke, another prodigy Vs Garra of the Sand.
Within the stands, the few rookies who didn't make it into the finals were sitting by their senseis while looking down at all the candidates. Though there was a small problem and that was the fact that three of them were missing. The three that were missing were Naruto, Yukino and Sasuke.
"I wonder where Naruto and Yukino could be, do you know where they are Sakura?" Ino asked she hasn't seen Naruto since they were given a month to train, she seen Yukino a few times but that was it, she was sitting next to one of her friend who was Sakura, the pinkete shrugged as she knew that he wouldn't miss something like this and it wasn't like them to not show up.
"I'm not sure Ino. I would of at least thought they would have been here by now, especially Naruto after what he said during the preliminaries." Sakura said while she looked around and didn't spot her sensei either. Kakashi must be with Sasuke since he was training him so he can go against Garra, for Naruto since what she heard from Yukino, he left the village so he can train for the month.
"Well where ever they are, they better hurry, it's almost about to start" Ino said in a worried tone.
Just then everyone in the stands look towards the entrance earning the attention of Ino and Sakura as they looked too see Yukino walking in the arena but they were stunned to see her in a new outfit.
"Woah"
"Beautiful"
There were different comments on Yukino's new outfit, she was wearing a dark blue shinobi battle dress with black flowers surrounding it, she also had a grey strap around her stomach with a black bow tied in the back, she had black leggings that covered her knees almost to her thighs with black shinobi shoes, to say she was beautiful was in understatement she was truly a sight to see.
"Wow she's beautiful, no wonder Sasuke choose her instead of us huh" Ino said as she looked at Yukino.
"...Yeah" Sakura said with a small frown.
Yukino was walking to the other participants. They were all lined up as they looked at her, including Garra.
Meanwhile Yukino was embarrassed because all of the attention she was getting, she didn't think her new outfit will cause such a reaction out of the crowd. She then walked towards the spot that was open next to Shikamaru
"Hello Shikamaru, Choji, good morning" she greeted
"Yeah...Good morning" Shikamaru said looking away
"Good Morning Yukino" Choji said
"Did you sleep well?" Yukino asked the two
"I slept fine"
"I slept like a log"
Shikamaru looked around to see the spectators still looking at Yukino and whispering
"You sure gave the audience a reason to stare at you" Shikamaru said and Yukino blushed.
"It wasn't my intention too in the first place, i just wanted to wear something new for the exams" she said.
"Well still you look good with that on" Choji complemented
"Thank you Choji" she said with a smile
Yukino looked around to see who was all here, in the stands she saw Ino and Sakura and she waved at them to which they did the same, She saw Tenten by herself a d she waved at her, She saw Kiba and Hinata enter in the stands and founds seats together, they saw that Yukino was watching them and they wave but kiba turned away and a small blush on his cheeks. Yukino waved at Hinata back and turned towards the Hokage booth where she saw Hiruzen with the Kazekage, she nodded at Hiruzen with a smile and he did the same but frowned as he looked at her surroundings
Yukino looked around her to see the other participants, to the side of Shikamaru was Choji and Shino, to the side of her was Neji, then there were the three ninja from the sand but...
"Where's Naruto and Sasuke?"Yukino thought aloud
"There not here yet, I thought you might know where they are but I guess not" Shikamaru said as he sighed
"Well where ever they are they better hurry, it's about to start" Choji said
Yukino had a worried expression, the exam was about to start and Naruto or Sasuke have shown up
"All right we are about to begin. Will Naruto Uzumaki and Neji Hyuuga please step forward while the rest of you go up to fighters box above." Everyone cleared out except Yukino and Neji who is standing with his arms cross
"Wait! Naruto and Sasuke isn't here yet" Yukino said as Genma turned towards her
"Sasuke's match isn't until later on so he has time to show up, but Naruto is different since his match is right now, if he doesn't show up then he is disqualified automatically. Now go up to the fighters box and wait your turn" Genma said
"What a shame, it seems fate had other plans and declared me the winner, I was hoping to test myself against his mysterious power but I guess not. So much for his so-called promise" Neji said
"Tch" Yukino reluctantly walked to the where the other participants are going cursing herself that she couldn't do anything, there wasn't anything she can do, now Naruto might be disqualified if he doesn't show up
'Naruto, where are you?' she thought in a panic
She wasn't the only one wondering where a certain blonde was. Up in the Kage booth Hiruzen was thinking to himself where Naruto and Jiraiya could be
'Where are they? Those two should be here by now' he said
"What's wrong Hokage, you seem to be worried about something" The Kazekage said
Hiruzen shook his head "Oh sorry, I was just wondering where one of the participant's are"
"Oh, could it be this Uchiha I've been hearing?" Kazekage asked
"Oh no it's someone different, but I'm wondering where he is as well" Hiruzen said and the Kazekage nodded
Just then they heard a sound of a frog behind them and both turned around to see a orange frog carrying a little scroll on its back
Hiruzen automatically knew this was one of Jiraiya's summoning frogs, he stood up and went to the frog and grabbed the scroll from it's back, after, it disappeared in a poof of smoke
Hiruzen read the scroll, it said 'Hey Sarotobi-Sensei, sorry but me and the Gaki are going to be late. Do you think you can postpone his match with the Hyuuga until later on please and thanks:)' Hiruzen was shocked but then sighed in annoyance
'I would have expected this from Kakashi but from both Jiraiya and Naruto, he better not have gotten Kakashi's habits of being late' he thought and stood up again
Down back at the stadium floor Genma sighed. "Since Naruto Uzamaki is not here, the winner by default is Ne-"
"Genma! come here real quick!" Hiruzen cutting off Genma from saying anything further, everyone stopped what they were doing and looked towards the leader of the village
"One moment please" Genma said and disappeared and reappeared by Hiruzen as he whispered something into Genma's ear
Everyone was quiet, they were wondering why the Hokage halted the start of the 3rd exams, some were confused, some were annoyed but Yukino, Ino, Hinata, and the other rookies sighed in relief, they didn't know what's going on but what ever it is, it saved Naruto from being disqualified in the first round.
Hiruzen finished whispering to Genma who nodded and returned to the center of the stadium with Neji still waiting, as everyone waited for whats going to be said especially Yukino, Ino, and Hinata as they listened carefully.
"Due to Naruto Uzamaki not being here at the moment, we have decided too postpone his match with Neji Hyuuga, and so it will be the second to last fight just before the match of Sasuke Uchiha and Garra of the sand" Genma said earning some happy and relieved expressions on the rookies faces. But the same can't be said on some of the civilians faces, some even booed
Yukino breath a sigh of relief and was happy Naruto still had more time to get here. She looked at the stands to see Sakura and Ino both with relieved expressions along with Hinata and Kiba. When she looked at some of the civilians they had frowns on thier faces and some were angry, she didn't know why they didn't like Naruto, I mean sure he pulled alot of pranks on them, but she was also part of it too but she never got yelled at, but some times he would cover for her and would take all the blame. Remembering all those pranks they did made her smile.
"Yes Naruto still has more time! Thats good" Ino said.
"Yeah, that's great" Sakura said.
"I'm so glad N-naruto will be able to still fight!" Hinata said.
"Yeah! He better not waste anymore time and actually be here" Kiba said with his arms folded.
"Why don't you just disqualify him then if he's not here!" one of the civilians said catching the rookies attention as well as there Sensei's who was there.
Genma turned to the civilian who spoke "It wasn't my decision to make, it was Lord Hokage's decision and its final" he replied calmly.
"BUT HE'S THE DEMON! THE ONE WHO TOOK OUR FAMILY'S FROM US! HE SHOULDN'T EVEN BE HERE IN THE FIRST PLACE! HE SHOULD BE SIX FEET UNDER!" The Civilian said and was earned glares from the rookies sensei's, Genma and Hiruzen who heard what the civilian said along with some of the rookies and who were Yukino, Shikamaru, Shino (Although you can't see because of his shades) Ino, Sakura, and even Hinata. This caught the attention of the Sand team even Garra who listened carefully
"NO ONE HAS SAID ANYTHING ABOUT THE DEMON CONTAINER UNTIL NOW! AREN'T YOU AFRAID WHAT HE MIGHT DO! HE'S GOING TO KILL US ALL-" The Civilian continued but was cutt off by Yukino who couldn't take it anymore
"SHUT UP!!" she screamed catching the attention of everyone
"How dare you say that stuff about Naruto! He hasn't done anything of the sorts of what you said, he's the most kind, caring, and friendly person I have ever met in my life, I'm not going to stand here letting you say all those horrible stuff you think Naruto did when he clearly didn't do!" Yukino said unknown to her and everyone else her eyes turned a flash of green but quickly turned to her normal ones
"She's right! If you actually took the time to get too know Naruto then you would see he isn't that kind of person you say he is" Hinata surprisingly said with out stuttering
"Yeah! So how about you shut up and be quiet and let the exam continue huh" Ino said
"What? IM TRYING TO SAVE YOUR PRETTY LITTLE ASS! YOU REALLY THINK YOU KNOW HIM. YOU DON'T KNOW JACK SHIT OF WHAT WE SAW THAT DAY" The Civilian said, which gave him looks of disgust from Yukino, Ino and Hinata and everyone else. The Jonin Sensei's were about to go too the Civilian but were stopped by Hiruzen
"ENOUGH!!" Hiruzen said from the booth
"I will not let you cause a scene more then you already have! Anbu take him away" Hiruzen said and the Anbu then proceeded to take the Civilian out of the arena
"Anyone else who comments on this matter will be treated the same way. Understand!" he continued, No one said anything, it was just quiet, Hiruzen then gave a nod to Genma too continue
"Alright, we will move on to the next match. Will Shikamaru Nara and Temari of The Sand come down." Genma said
Everyone saw the suna girl glide down on her giant fan while waiting for Shikamaru now to come down.
"I can't believe I got to fight another girl. This is such a drag." Shikamaru said as he sighed
"Good luck Shikamaru" Yukino said as she still wasn't full cooled off from before
Shikamaru nodded, he slowly made his way down the steps and stood in front of his opponent.
Meanwhile with a certain Blonde
(Scene Change)
"Alright Gaki, Sarutobi sensei should have gotten the message I sent" Jiraiya said
*BOOOM*
A sudden explosion occurred in the of the forest as Naruto was standing breathing slightly as he wore his new outfit and his sword in hand as flames surrounded it and then it dispersed leaving his black sword, he also had the Sword of Darkness strapped to his back, Naruto wanted to finishing his last minute training before heading back to the village.
"When are you going to stop calling me that?" He asked
"It's not like you said anything before, besides I haven't forgotten what you did back at the hot springs" Jiraiya said
"Even though you deserved it?" Catra said jumping on Naruto's shoulder, by this past month Catra has gotten comfortable around Jiraiya dispite his perverted nature and that absurd book he was writing on, but she found out there was more to him then that. When her and Jiraiya were by a cliff after he pushed Naruto off she spoken to him which freaked him out so much that he ended up falling as well which she was laughing the whole time Naruto flew back with his wings along with Jiraiya in his hand
"I told you it was for my-"
"Research/Research we know" Naruto and Catra said cutting him off
"Hmph" Jiraiya turned away from them
"Moving on, im impressed on how much you've grown since we started your training" Keiran said as he appeared in black particles beside Naruto and Catra
Since Naruto has gotten stronger because of the training he got from Jiraiya, Keiran and the Nine-Tails, Keiran can now manifest himself from Naruto's mindscape into his world, although it's only for a certain amount of time he can stay out.
"Thanks, although you really didn't hold back on my training did you?" Naruto said
"We had to get you strong, and plus it worked out for both of us because now I can manifest myself here and you learned what you needed to learn from me for the time being" Keiran said
During Naruto's training with Keiran, he learned how to wield a sword and some Sword Arts he can use with it, so now he can fully use his black sword he got from the dragons and The Sword of Darkness. Thats not all he learned from him, Keiran trained Naruto to using his wings more and the correct way to fly so he can have more mobility to dodge and stuff like that along with using his demonic strength and speed, he even taught Naruto Magic, Specifically elemental magic and Keiran was surprised Naruto had a natural talent for using magic and he was able to pick up stuff more easily. Then came the important training, Keiran taught Naruto how to further control his Dark powers along with his Dark transformation, he taught Naruto how to manage his emotions because the Darkness can draw power from them but mostly his anger, he then told Naruto to do meditation because he needed a strong mind in order to not get corrupted by the Darkness so easily which was important.
(He's right, I can't be having a weak container. Remember you represent me so your image effects mine you here) Nine-Tails said
"Yeah I here you, I guess that's why you trained me in the first place right?" Naruto said
During Naruto's training with the Nine-Tails, the Kyuubi gave Naruto some basic Chakra control exercises to start with and then he would further increased the difficulty every time Naruto got it down. After the Chakra control exercises the Kyuubi helped Naruto with using some Jutsu's from the scroll Hiruzen gave him starting with Wind, Water and Lightning then he included the Fire and Earth scroll but those took some time since he didn't have an affinity for Fire or Earth but he managed. The Kyuubi even taught Naruto some Jutsu's he knew personally from when he wasn't sealed. Next the Kyuubi trained Naruto's body, Keiran trained him to using his enhanced strength and speed but the Kyuubi wanted to work on Naruto's Mobility and dodging skills which he did by firing small projectiles at him so he can dodge and then further increasing the difficulty, it was more difficult because he had weights on, for his mobility the Kyuubi wanted Naruto to go through the forest and jump from tree to tree with out using any Chakra and see how he can maneuver himself through the forest while performing different tricks to help him get around more (literally parkour)
(Like I said I can't have a weak container, besides I can't have you die because if you die then I also die as well and I'm pretty sure it's the same with Keiran) Nine-Tails said and Naruto rolled his eyes and looked at Keiran who shook his head
"What ever you say" He said
"Well I think we should start getting back to the village for your match" Jiraiya said with Keiran nodding in agreement
"He's right, they won't wait forever, and I want to see if your training payed off" Keiran said
"Yeah! plus I want to see you kick that Neji guy's but!" Catra said making Naruto and Keiran chuckle
"Don't worry I will" Naruto said putting his sword in the scabbard on his waist
"Well then let's go" Catra said
"We might want to start running then if we want to make it" Jiraiya said, Naruto thought about something before he spoke up
"I got a better idea"
"What is it?" Catra said
"I can just use my Wings to fly us there so it can be faster. Also... I always wanted to 'drop' in and make a good entrance" Naruto said as he unfolded his black and red wings
(Scene Change)
"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT SHIKAMARU!!" Ino's voice screamed through out the whole stadium while some people were booing at the result of the previous match while her sensei was behind her with a sweat drop
Just a few seconds ago was Shikamaru's match between Temari of The Sand with Shikamaru showing off his tactics in using the shadows from the trees to increase the range of his "Shadow Possession Jutsu". Though in a surprise twist he was the one who forfeited due to apparent low chakra reserves. As such Temari was announced the winner of the match.
"Troublesome blonde..." Shikamaru muttered as he made his way up the stairs to the others
"Hey Shikamaru" Choji said as he waved with Yukino to the side of him
"You did great, although I wish the ending result could have been a bit different" Yukino said
Shikamaru shrugged
"I couldn't do anything about it, I was low on Chakra when I was trying to catch Temari with my Shadow" Shikamaru said looking around
"Naruto or Sasuke still isn't here yet?" He said, Yukino and Choji shook thier heads
"No he hasn't, I thought he would be here when you finished your match" Yukino said with a worried expression
"Same here" Choji said pulling out a bag of chips and started to eat
"Your eating again?" Shikamaru asked
"I gotta keep my Energy up" Choji replied while eating
"Don't talk with your mouth full" Shikamaru scolded and Choji just nodded
"Do you think something bad happened to Naruto?" Choji asked after swallowing his chips
Yukino's face had a more worried expression for her childhood friend "I hope not..." she said
"I'm sure he's fine, come on, let's go see who's fighting next" Shikamaru said as he started walking, with the two following behind him
"Its time for the second match, will Yukino Kiera and Choji Akimichi please make your way down to the arena" Genma said
"Oh! Looks like its our turn" Yukino said
"Aw man, i going to lose for sure" Choji said
"Don't say that, im sure you been training this past month" Yukino said trying to cheer Choji up
"I have been training...For that food eating contest next week!!" Choji said with fire in his eye's getting a sweat drop from Yukino and Shikamaru
"Well i wish you guys luck then, im going to sit with Ino in the stands" Shikamaru said and left
"Well we should get going too" Yukino said, Choji nodded and they started to make thier way to the arena
With Ino and Sakura
"So it's Yukino's and Choji's turn now" Sakura said
"Aw man, i just no Choji's going to lose" Ino said shaking her head
"Its not Choji's fault he got a bad match up" Shikamaru said from behind them
Ino and Sakura turned around to see who it was, when Ino saw who it was she stood up and approached Shikamaru and grabbed him from his collar and started shouting at him
"YOU IDIOT! YOU COULD HAVE ONE THAT MATCH BUT NO YOU HAD TO MAKE SOME LAME ASS EXCUSE!" she shouted out making Shikamaru, Sakura and a few people cover thier ears from the volume
"Can you stop yelling, besides I was almost out of Chakra and I wouldn't be able to do anything after that" Shikamaru said as he sat down on a available seat
"Fine, I'll humor you just this once" Ino said as she sat back down in her seat waiting for the start of the match
In the center of the arena was Yukino and Choji facing each other as Genma came up and asked if they were ready and they nodded thier heads
"Well if you are ready then you may Begin!" Genma said and moved back to give Yukino and Choji some space to fight
After they were given the okay to fight, the two just stood thier in thier fighting stances staring at each other untill Choji made the first move by making a hand sign
"Expansion Jutsu!"
Choji's body then expanded in size like a balloon being blown up, and then started to spin Rapidly.
"Human Boulder Jutsu!"
"Choji isn't messing around" Ino said
"Of course he can't, he wants to end this quick" Shikamaru said
Choji then rolled towards Yukino with incredible speed, but Yukino dodged nearly being crushed as she channeled Chakra into her feet to stick to the stadium wall so that she wouldn't get hit as she saw Choji just going around the stadium in a circle
She then saw Choji coming her way and he banged into the wall making it shake a little bit, Yukino was startled as she looked up to see the civilians trying to hang on to the railings
Yukino use some hand signs
"Ice Style: Ice Calamity!"
Yukino jumped off the wall and landed on the ground, as Ice started to cover the area including the wall as it turned into Ice
Choji was still spinning as the ice ventured towards him, as it began to cover him as well but he was moving and spinning so fast that it just broke off
"W-woah, the whole field is covered in Ice" Sakura said shivering
Yukino saw that Choji was stuck in place just like she wanted but she didn't expect for Choji to just jump high up in the air and when he crashed down he broke all the ice around the field
"What?" Yukino said shocked as she saw Choji rolling towards her and she started to do a set of new hand signs
"Ice Style: Frozen Armor!"
Yukino was then ingulfed with Ice Chakra as she began to feel hard objects surround her entire body as Choji got close Yukino lifted her hand up and-
BAAAM!!*
Gasp*
Everyone was shocked at what they saw. Standing in the middle of the field was Yukino in now white blueish armor that showed off some of her skin, she had white armor leggings with boots and gauntlets on each hand, and armor that covered her chest area as she held Choji in place while he was still spinning
"Wow, is that really Yukino" Ino said in awe, everyone was shocked to say anything else
'Oh no, I'm getting dizzy" Choji thought turning green
Yukino cocked her fist back and punched Choji sending him back crashing against the wall of the stadium
Yukino slowly walked up to choji who had swirls in his eye's and she sighed in relief
"At least he's okay"
Genma walked up and looked at Choji's conditions and saw he was unable to keep fighting.
"The winner of the match is Yukino Kiera" Genma announced and cheers erupted from the stands
"Well can't say i didn't see that coming" Ino said
"Yeah but it was still a good match" Sakura said
"It was but i would have thought Choji would have trained this month" Ino said
"He did train this month...For a food competition next week" Shikamaru said and sighed
"What/What?" Ino and Sakura said
With Yukino
She watched the medic ninja's take Choji away and she made her way up stairs to go sit with the other spectators since her match is done and over with
As she was walking, she was worried where Naruto is, Hiruzen did tell her Naruto went to train out of the village with one of his student he taught but he should have been back by now. Unknown to her she had a blush on her face, she wanted Naruto to see her fight so he can see how much she has grown but he still wasn't here even after two of the fights were over and she frowned at that, but that's not all, during this month she has been thinking of what she felt for Sasuke. To be honest she hasn't been spending as much time with him during this month, I mean don't get her wrong she knows that its the time to train for the finals and yes they had some dates during the month but it wasn't like it used to be. They barely talk to each other and she was wondering if there relationship is going to last or if it will crumble apart, it was unknown at the moment. There was also her feelings for Naruto, again unknown to her she was blushing again, she doesn't know why she was feeling this way for Naruto, this has never happened when they were kids either or when they were in the ninja academy. She did love Naruto dearly, he was her childhood friend after all and she cherished him but...
Yukino put her hand on her chest and clenched it
She doesn't know if this is Romantic love or just a friendship type of love, when she was in the ninja academy and just like the other girls in the class she had a crush on Sasuke, and she was so happy when he asked her out, and she compared what feeling she had back then for Sasuke and then too Naruto now and she felt that it was sorta the same and she didn't know what to do, she doesn't even know if Naruto even saw her like that anyway. Either way she was with Sasuke now and she only saw Naruto as a younger brother back then and in the present now. So she just tried to push away her feeling for Naruto at the moment untill she can understand it more and it wasnt like anything is going to change between them anyway...Right?
"Oh hey Yukino" Sakura said getting Yukino out of her thought as she see's Sakura, Ino and Shikamaru sitting in the chairs waiting for her
"Here we saved you a seat" Ino said gesturing to the seat to the side of her
"Thanks guys" Yukino said taking the seat
"Have you seen Naruto yet?" Ino asked and Yukino shook her head
"No, I haven't, he should have been here by now" Yukino replied
"That's a shame, I really wanted to see him after a whole month" Ino said frowning with a blush making Yukino frowned and narrowed her eye's at her
That was another thing. She didn't like the idea of Naruto getting too close with another girl and she didn't know why. Maybe it was because she didn't want anyone hurting him and his feelings or maybe it was because she didn't like the feeling she had as she imagined Naruto with another girl, it didn't sit right with her
"I have to ask Ino, why are you interested in Naruto all of a sudden?" Shikamaru asked a good question one that Yukino wanted an answer for
"W-why are you asking that all of a sudden!" Ino said as her blush brighten
"Well maybe it's because you treated him wrongly when we were still in the academy, and while we became a fully fledged ninja, and while we were in the forest of death a month ago" Shikamaru said blankly
"Okay I get it, and i know I'm not proud of what I've done and I regret doing it" Ino said looking down
"You didn't answer my question" he said
"...I don't know"
"You don't know" Yukino said
"Yeah...It's like something changed about him and I'm not talking about what we saw in the forest but, it's like I'm a-attracted to him now" Ino said putting her hands to her face to hide her embarrassment
Yukino frowned further at that
"I see" Shikamaru muttered
Yukino just stayed quiet as she pondered what Ino said but then turned her focus towards the arena
With the Sand Team
"Wow she's something else, to cover the whole arena in Ice is impressive" Kankuro said
"No kidding, she must have high amounts of Chakra in order to do that, including that armor" Temari said
"That girl...She interests me" Garra said looking towards Yukino, both Kankuro and Temari looked at Garra in shock
'Some one Interested Garra' Kankuro said
'Thats new, she must be a special one then' Temari thought as she looked at Yukino as well
"Alright we will now begin the next match, will Shino Aburame and Kankuro of the Sand please make you way to the arena" Genma said
Kankuro stiffened at this, it was his turn to fight. Kankuro looked nervous. He needed to stall for time since it wasn't right yet for the invasion and Gaara needed to be ready. He also needed to conserve energy for when it started and knew that he was somewhat at a disadvantage. So thinking quickly he raised his hand and looked down to the proctor.
"Proctor I like to forfeit." This earned a few boos from the crowd but he didn't care since he needed to delay for the invasion. This also caused Yukino, Shikamaru, Shino, and Hiruzen to look towards him with thier eyes narrowed.
"What? He just forfeit like that" Ino said surprised
"But why though" Sakura said
'Wierd/Wierd' Yukino and Shikamaru thought, this sent warning bells in there heads
"Wait! That means the next match is-" Yukino said but was cut off by the proctor
"Okay, Kankuro forfeits making Shino Aburame the winner by default, we will now begin the next match." Genma said
"Will Naruto Uzumaki and Neji Hyuuga please make there way to the arena" Genma said and everyone saw Neji jump down from the fighters box and stood on one side of the arena but Naruto wasn't there
"Naruto's still not here yet?" Sakura said looking around
"Oh no! He's going to miss his match!" Ino said in a panic
"Oh great, all that time the Hokage gave him has run out" Shikamaru said
'Come on Naruto, where are you?' Yukino thought in a panic
'He's almost there' a voice said
Yukino stood up and looked around her, it was that voice again she heard from the Preliminaries
"Yukino whats wrong?" Sakura asked
"Did one of you say something to me just now" She asked
"Yeah I did" Sakura said
"No before you said something" Yukino said
"No we didn't, why?" Shikamaru said
Yukino shook her head and then sat back down "Nothing, I just thought I heard something" she says
'Who was that' she thought
"Hey what gives! Where's Naruto, he should have been here by now!" Kiba said while Hinata had a worried expression
Up in the Kage booth, Hiruzen was wondering where Naruto is, he had more then enough time to get here so why isn't he
"Where are they?" he muttered
"It seems who ever you wanted to see is not here, we can't waist anymore time so we should go to the next match right, Hokage" The Kazekage said and Hiruzen sighed but nodded his head 'Im sorry Naruto we can't wait any longer'
Hiruzen nodded to Genma who nodded back and sighed
"Since Naruto Uzamaki isn't here, the winner of the match by default is Nej-"
"Hey Look up there!" a civilian said gaining the attention of everyone as he pointed to the sky, everyone looked to see where he was pointing and they gasped as they saw two people falling from the sky
Hiruzen was shocked but then smirked to see who it was 'About time'
The Kazekage looked as well but then narrowed his eyes at a specific one
'Thats' he thought
As they were close to the ground One of them landed first as they had long white hair and a ninja headband that said 'Oil' on it as he had a smirk on his face and then the other one landed right after making the ground crack a little underneath him, the crowd couldn't see his face because it was coverd by his hoodie but they saw the other one was clearly an adult
"Who are those two" Shikamaru said
"I have no idea" Ino said
"Are they in the exams too?" Sakura said
"I don't think so, we would have seen them in the preliminaries" Shikamaru said
Yukino was looking at the Young teen with narrowed eyes trying to see who it was under the hoodie, she saw he had a sword strapped to his waist then she saw a big familiar looking sword on his back 'Is that...'
Mutters came from the crowd as they didn't know who these two that fell from the sky were or why they interrupted the exams
"Sorry, are we late to the party?" The man asked with a smirk
"Who are you two?" Genma asking the question that everyone wanted an answer
The young one lifted his hood so they can see his face, he heard the gasp of several people in the stands and spoke
"Naruto Uzamaki, Im ready for my match" he said looking at Neji who did the same
In the stands
"It's Naruto!" Ino said happily
"He made it!" Sakura said in relief
"It's about time he showed up" Shikamaru said with a smirk
Yukino was starting at Naruto in shock, he was finally here and just in the nick of time too.
'He's finally here' She thought and unknown she had a blush on her face
She looked to see Naruto is dressed up in some new clothing as well, He now had on a opened Red and Blue Jacket with a little white in the mix that went to his waist, he had a white shirt underneath it, he also had dark brown pants with a red belt on and three pouches attached to them, two by his waist and one underneath the right one, he also had brown fingerless gloves on but on his right and left arm was a black metal contraption that covered some of his arms and brown combat boots. Around his neck was a necklace of a fire symbol.
"Woah he looks so cool!" Ino said
"Yeah" Yukino said in a daze with a blush
"Yeah it's better then that orange jumpsuit that he had on" Shikamaru said
"That's Naruto..." Sakura said in shock
"I wonder what those black metal things on his arms are" Shikamaru said
"Alright! Naruto made it!" Kiba said with a smirk
"Thank goodness" Hinata said softly
"Is that the same Naruto from before?" Kurenai said
"Yep, I gotta say his new look isn't bad" Asuma said with a nod
back to the field
"You should know who i am right?" The man said
Genma was surprised to see Naruto and turned his attention to the man and looked closely and that's when it clicked
"Oh, Lord Jiraiya, sorry I didn't recognize you" Genma said
"You should, after all who could forget about this face here" Jiraiya said
"Probably alot" Naruto muttered he then felt some movement from his jacket and then popped out Catra as she went to his shoulder
'I second that' She said, Naruto chuckled
"We should get started don't you think" Neji said
"Oh right" Genma said
"Alright Gaki, im going to be with the old man, show these people how much you've grown" Jiraiya said with patting Naruto on his shoulder
Naruto nodded, he looked up in the stands to see everyone looking at him, he saw Hinata and Kiba sitting together and he nodded at them. He then saw Yukino, Ino, Sakura and Shikamaru as well and nodded towards him and they waved at him except Yukino who was just watching him. In the fighters box he saw Shino and gave a nod and he did as well, and the sand team looking at him intensely especially Garra who kept clenching his fist
"Alright we will now start the match between Naruto Uzamaki and Neji Hyuuga" Genma said and Neji got into the Hyuuga style fighting stance
'Catra go by Yukino until im done' Naruto said mentally
Catra nodded 'Okay'
Catra got off oh his shoulder and went to the wall and jumped into the stance and landed on Yukino's lap which surprised her, alot of people were surprised to see a cat jump that high but turned thier attention to the field
Naruto grabbed his Black Sword from his waist for everyone to see as he got into an unfamiliar sword fighting stance
'How is he getting those types of swords' Tenten thought as she looked over the blade in his hand along with the sword from before on his back
"Go Naruto!" Ino Cheered
"You got this!" Yukino cheered
"Is that the loud mouth kid?" one ninja said
"Yeah I think that is, I wonder how he'll go up against Neji" another one said
Some cheered for Naruto as well, but alot of them cheered for Neji to win which didn't effect Naruto one bit
"Goodluck Naruto, show everyone how much you've grown" Keiran said and Naruto nodded
'I will, im going to show them not to underestimate me again' he thought
"So I see you finally decided to show up. Doesn't matter as fate has decreed me the victor of this battle no matter the few changes you made to your wardrobe." Neji said
"Do you remember what I said before? I said I'll show you our fates aren't set in stone, and I'll prove that during this fight" Naruto said determined
"We shall see" Neji said
The whole stadium was quiet after that exchange of words from the two
Neji activated his byakugan before recoiling back a little at what he saw. He could see the normal blue chakra that was a raging river that was his network, but he could also see a light blue and dark red energy flowing around his form
'What is this?' he thought shocked to see two separate energies in Naruto
Naruto narrowed his eyes 'he can see my Chakra, my Mana, and 'that' with his eyes...if thats the case...'
Neji was surprised again when he see's Naruto's form become ingulfed in nothing but black, he couldn't see his Chakra networks or those two strange energies anymore.
"Tch!" Neji deactivated his Byakugan
"The Match Between Naruto Uzamaki and Neji Hyuuga may now...BEGIN!" Genma said as he jumped back to give the two fighters some space, having a feeling things may get crazy.
Neji charged straight for Naruto. And so began a dance like no other as with each strike Neji sent, Naruto would maneuver around it before sending a slash of his own back at him with Neji having to sidestep out the way or else he would be injured fatally. Any attack Neji sent, Naruto would find a way around it. Never blocking 'except with his sword' knowing if he tried it would only hinder him. Naruto would deflect before striking back with Neji moving away so as not to get hit. Many in the stands could not believe their eyes at what they were watching. The known Hyuuga prodigy, Rookie of the Year from his generation that graduated the academy, was being taken toe to toe equally by the current 'dead last' 'Oh those poor souls who still think that'
Neji was getting very aggravated and was slowly losing his cool. His face was now almost in a permanent scowl now as he couldn't believe he wasn't able to land a single hit on Naruto who kept dodging or blocking with his sword
Neji did another strike towards Naruto but this time Naruto went forward and redirected Neji's strike to the side and elbowed him in the neck causing him to stop and then he kicked him in the face sending Neji back tumbling and Naruto jumped back to make some space between them, he had a small smile on his face, his training is paying off
In the stands
"Woah, Naruto's gotten so good" Ino said surprised
Yukino nodded "That's not all, his strength is incredible, just what kind of training did he go through"
"He's also good with that sword just by the way he's blocking Neji's attacks at a close distance" Shikamaru said
'Just wait and see what else Naruto has for show' Catra thought enjoying the match below
Back down in the arena
As Neji got back up Naruto charged at him with incredible speed as he brought his sword up ready to slash Neji but not to kill him and Neji had a scowl on his face
'Looks like i have no choice' Neji thought
Getting into a stance he waited for the right moment before spinning in place with his chakra pushing out into a sphere.
"Eight Trigrams Rotation!"
Naruto's eyes widen as he didn't expect this and crossed his arms to block the damage that came when his sword hit the sphere of Chakra, Naruto was then sent back some distance as he flipped in mid air and landed on his feet with his sword in hand
'I didn't expect that' Naruto thought
"Did you forget what I taught you?" Keiran asked
'Always be prepared for anything that your opponent may throw at you' Naruto said and he felt Keiran nod his head
Up in the stands, many people around were surprised at the amount of skill that was being shown by the two. One person was most surprised by Neji and that was Hiashi Hyuga, clan head of the Hyuga clan. He couldn't believe that on his own Neji had managed to perform the main branch technique. It showed that he's been training hard. He felt bad seeing as his nephew was doing this because of how tensions have been growing between the branches. Especially after his father, Hiashi's twin brother Hizashi died for him after the attempted kidnapping of his daughter Hinata. Hiashi really needed to speak with his nephew sometime after this. Considering he has something for him from his father, he felt he waited long enough to show it to him.
Naruto stood up and took a stance again but this time, wind energy started to surround his sword untill it was fully covered making it glow green
"Sword Art: Wind Style: Gale Strike!"
Naruto swung his sword and a slash of wind went towards Neji, who did another rotation but...
"Gaaah!" Neji shouted as he was sent back but everone saw a huge slash across his chest
In the stands
"What! how is that possible? Neji's rotation should have stopped that attack" Tenten said
"Woah Naruto just hit Neji with that wind strike, but I thought his rotation thing should have stopped that?" Ino said
"From what we saw before, it should have but it's like it completely went right through Neji's defense" Yukino said
"How is that possible" Shikamaru said trying to make sense of this
Back in the Arena
Neji struggled to get up but eventually succeeded and he grabbed a few Shuriken and threw them towards Naruto who just blocked them with his sword but what was crazy is that the shuriken's all split in half at the contact with his swords edges
Naruto then let go of his sword as it was now floating beside him which surprised the spectators, he made some hand signs and suddenly it seemed like a 'storm' had suddenly started as what looked like a tornado engulfed Naruto with it.
In the stands
"Whats going on!?" Ino shouted
"I have no idea! What is Naruto doing?!" Sakura said
"It's wind chakra!", everyone looked to see Asuma behind them with Kurenai as they stood wide-eyed. "And a lot of it!"
"I feel something else as well" Ino said
"Troublesome, what a drag" Shikamaru said as he tried to focus
'Naruto what are you doing?' Yukino thought as she shielded herself and Catra from the crazy winds. She looked up in the sky and saw some storm clouds forming and then to Naruto who was just thier with his eyes closed concentrating
In the Kage booth
Hiruzen Sarutobi and the Kazekage couldn't believe there eyes as they watched the Naruto. Hiruzen then smiled with pride as he sat back while watching the match continue on. 'That boy continues to surprise me and who knew this Darkness could be so powerful... The will of Fire is strong in him. Your parents would be proud of you Naruto...' he thought
'This boy is more troublesome then I thought' the Kazekage thought
Wind chakra gathered around Naruto's arms, making a familiar set of eyes, a nose, a mouth, and very familiar set of jaws and teeth that snapped closed around Naruto's fist. The visage that was created was shocking.
"What the-"
"How-"
"That's the-"
Everyone who wasn't too shocked to speak had their own little two word shock. The reason? Surrounding Naruto's entire arm was the head, the visage of the Nine-Tailed Fox itself!
Neji was standing in shock at what he is seeing, he saw Naruto bring his arms together making the two visage of the Nine-Tails turn into one big one. Naruto could feel the Nine-Tails smirk. He had taught Naruto a way to combine his Chakra nature's and the result was...surprising to say the least
Naruto stuck himself to the wall of the stadium with his Chakra, he reared his arms back and then thrust them forward and said
"Storm Style: Thundering Roar!"
True to the jutsus name, the fox head opened its mouth and gave a grand roar. But what came out of its mouth was not only sound, but a huge torrent of black grayish wind with a little bit of lightning almost like a real thunder storm, hurled towards Neji who was broken out of his surprised state and quickly did his Jutsu
"Eight Trigrams Rotation!"
Neji created another sphere of chakra to either protect or repel Naruto's Jutsu away. As the two jutsus clashed everyone else was holding onto something once more as the winds overall force, while it was concentrated, was creating gusts that tore through the whole arena.
"This…is…crazy!", Shikamaru yelled over the roaring winds and hanging on to the railing for support.
Back in the arena Naruto decided to end this and with one final yell he unleashed more ounces of chakra he could spare into his jutsu! The winds and lightning turned to nothing but chakra as nothing, could be heard from anyone, not thier screams. After Naruto released the jutsu and as it dissipated, Neji was on the ground his own body sporting cuts and gashes. But what everyone had their eyes mostly on was thegianthole in the wall of the stadium! It was large enough to fit all four of the genin teams of the Konoha Twelve, senseis included. Then the eyes turned to the only one left standing, Naruto Uzumaki.
Naruto saw Neji struggling to get up as he calmly walked over to him and stared him down.
Neji couldn't get back up, he was stuck in place unable to move, he could do nothing as Naruto walked up looking down on him not doing anything, just staring at each other, his blue eyes looking into his pale blue ones.
"What's the matter? Why don't you finish me?" Neji said
The whole stadium was quiet...really quiet as they heard what Neji said to Naruto
"As incredible as you are now you have to admit what I've been saying is true right?" Naruto said
"You understand don't you?" He said again after not getting in answer
Neji gritted his teeth together
"Let me tell you something" Naruto said gaining the attention of everyone
"If I had a fate that I wasn't cool with, do you know what I would do?" Naruto asked and picked up a good size rock from the ground
"What is that?" Neji asked
Everyone waited for Naruto's answer
Naruto crushed the rock into pieces with his hand and then spoke "I'd smash that fate and make my own destiny, and that's something you should do if you don't like your current one" Naruto replied and Neji gritted his teeth and looked away
"Don't waist time trying to preach to me! What do you know, you don't know what it's like to be in a cage, having your freedom taken away since when you were little, to be granted with this damn curse seal since at early childhood!" Neji said
'If only you knew' Naruto thought
"This fight is over, finish me off already and be done with it" Neji said
Naruto gritted his teeth together and walked closer to Neji
Naruto started to glow a Dark red as he looked at his hand and clenched it and looked at Neji who had his eyes close who was looking down in defeat
"Dragon Arts: Dragon Fist!"
Naruto brought his fist towards Neji's chest, as it made contact his Dark Red Aura expanded and shot up in the air as everyone looked up to see that his aura manifested into a Red Dragon who roared to the sky
"ROOOOOOOOOAR!!"
The Dragon then sky dived to wear Naruto and Neji were as it opened its mouth and it ingulfed both Naruto and Neji as it exploded and swirled around them making a sphere untill it disappeared leaving a large crater and a still standing Naruto and a not moving Neji on the ground
Naruto took a step back as Genma walked to Neji and placed his fingers on his neck, he then sighed in relief as Neji was still alive just unconscious, he then spoke so everyone can hear him
"Neji Hyuuga Is unable to continue, The winner of the Match is Naruto Uzamaki" Genma said and the stadium was still quiet then that was when a clapping could be heard followed up by cheers and it continued untill the whole stadium was one big Cheer zone
Naruto sighed in exhaustion

Alright that is the end of Chapter 13 of Naruto: The Dark Prince i hope you guys enjoyed this chapter
So when i was doing Yukino and Choji's fight, to be honest i think i could have done better if i was more focused on it but i believe i made up for it with Naruto and Neji's fight, what do you think?

Also im letting you all know that next week i won't be uploading anything do to the fact that i have my exams for the first semester of school so i have to prepare for that, but next next week is my Christmas break so i will be uploading two chapters or do you want one of them to be a Christmas special because ill do it, its the least i can do since i can't upload next week
