Sunday morning with Kyle and Julia
"Kyle we need to have a talk" says Julia
"about what, Logan used me to get to my sister, he lied to me, he made me think my sister wanted me to have sex with her, what's there to discuss, because I believed him I committed crimes, because I believed him I'll probably spend the rest of my life in prison, at this point I'm as guilty as Logan, nothing I say will change that so why should I talk, Missy gets the benefit of the doubt, it's not fair" says Kyle
"the DA can negotiate for a reduced sentence if you talk and show remorse, I can tell you feel guilty Kylie" says Julia as Kyle gets upset
"I told you I was trans, that does not give you the right to use my name without me saying it's ok" says Kyle
"I'm sorry Kyle, it's just your sister wants to believe there is good left in you, she doesn't want to see you in jail, Lucy wants to date you for real this time, the only reason you'd be in jail is if the jury believes you will re-offend on your own without Logan's influence, if you turn on Logan and tell us everything he did to convince you, your chances of relative freedom is possible, likely house arrest for a number of years and mandatory therapy but you wouldn't be in jail, I can see you're not like Logan, please just talk to me about it" says Julia trying to get Kyle to open up
"Logan and his dad had a fight, Logan wanted more say at PCA, his dad said no, so he started looking up articles about men being born to own women, the one he showed me that convinced me was one by a doctor named Nicolas Freeman, I know the name because it was a doctor that Missy basically worshipped, I thought maybe she already knew about it, I'll never understand why she gave in so easily, she used to be such a fighter" says Kyle
"ahh Nicolas, yes he did for a time believe in that but then someone used that ideology on his daughters, kidnapping and physically abusing them, he absolutely lost it, he said it's different when it's used on you, he's since disowned that ideology though he doesn't get a lot of time with his daughters as a result, he has to stay in his designated area of the house while they're home for five years, at which point his daughters can decide what to do" says Julia
"Logan never called it rape, he called it sex or making love, he drilled these different definitions into me until I accepted them, he wouldn't let me see if other people saw things this way, I wanted to ask Jade if any of this was true but he told me that if I asked Jade, a girl if this 'guy code' was real that I'd be expelled from PCA and I worked really hard to go there, I didn't want to risk losing all my hard work because I wasn't sure if what Logan was saying was true, he shamed me into believing that he was right" says Kyle
"did Logan rape Missy first or did he make you rape her first" asks Julia
"he raped her first, he told me that if I didn't take my 'sloppy seconds' that I'd never get to have sex with a 'real girl' ever again, doing what I did made me sick" says Kyle
"does Missy know you're trans" asks Julia
"no and you can't tell her, she wouldn't believe me anyway, not after Logan made me do what I did, she'll never believe that I want to be a girl" says Kyle
"the prosecutor and the lead investigator are giving Missy and Lucy the choice to charge you or not, I feel they need to know" says Julia
"they won't believe it, I've tried to tell them, they laugh about it, maybe if they'd believed me they could have helped me get out from under Logan's thumb" says Kylie
"wait did Logan target you because you are trans" asks Julia
"yes, Logan said that transgender people do not exist and that I was born a man so I had to act like one, nobody understands me, I don't even deserve Lucy, she deserves someone who hasn't hurt her" says Kylie
"you don't think they'd understand, Logan changed a lot about their lives and yours, trust me you're not an enemy to them" says Julia
"it doesn't matter, they won't believe it, the only person that understood was dad and when he died all girl stuff stopped, no more unitards, no more girly underwear, no more girly pajamas and no more girly toys or sheets, all of a sudden I was expected to act like a man, I was scared and confused and Logan took advantage of that" says Kylie
"I will talk to them, Lucy did say that while you were rough, you were also very caring and she said 'I'll never get that anywhere else', you have to be open to the idea that she doesn't want anyone but you to be hers" says Julia
"we'll see how accepting they are" says Kylie
"ok go rest Kylie, I'll be back tomorrow to talk more" says Julia allowing Kylie to head to her bedroom
25 minutes later at the west home
"any news" asks Zoey
"Kyle is transgender, she wants to be called Kylie, it's how Logan got such a firm hold on her, he told her that she was born a man and that she had to act like one because 'transgender people don't exist', Logan apparently wanted more power at PCA, something about it becoming more of a girl dominated school than boy dominated, his father said no so Logan went looking for proof that men were born to own women, he came across multiple studies by extremist scientists and he used one errant study by Nicolas Freeman, who is a now former extremist scientist to make Kylie believe it was all real, Logan made her rape Selena after him because if Kylie hadn't raped Selena as 'sloppy seconds' then Kylie would never have sex with a real girl, Kylie implied that raping Selena made her absolutely sick to her stomach" says Julia
"but why make Kylie rape Selena at all, it doesn't make sense" asks Zoey
"we can assume some sort of blackmail and intentional shaming to control them is involved and he'd have watched Kylie rape Selena to make sure she actually did rape her sister so he could further control them" says Julia
"we knew he was creepy, we didn't know he was that creepy" says Zoey
"can I talk to Selena and Lucy, it's about Kylie being trans, apparently she's told them before and they laughed about it" says Julia
"they're sleeping at the moment, she did tell them, they laughed because they thought it was Logan making her say that, they didn't laugh because they were making fun of her, they thought laughing would lighten the mood and that Kylie would say something about what Logan was doing to her, Selena genuinely always wanted a big sister and Kylie being a girl would actually suit Lucy better, I'll let them know, it will take them a few days to realize that they accidentally made fun of her but they have been adamant that they don't want Kylie charged as they only see Logan as the villain, as far as Selena goes, as long as Kylie stops taking her stuff there is no problems between them" says Zoey
"you're certain that they don't want to press charges against Kylie" asks Julia wanting to make absolutely sure that Zoey has all the information to make that call
"as Logan's ultimate and final victim, the three of us had a talk a few days ago, they said that IF Kylie had no intention of harm other than having to follow Logan's harsh forced guidance of harm then they don't want to press charges, unless what we've been hearing about her intentions is a lie they don't want Kylie charged, they've told Agent Margo this much, Kylie isn't lying is she" says Zoey
"part of what makes me different as a therapist is I specialize in human behavior, the effects of trauma and how that trauma changes people, up until yesterday our sessions were all about her asking me questions to gain trust between us, yesterday I ended the session with the question 'has Logan done anything to make you fear for your life', her response was 'yes but I'm not sure if I can trust you with the information, he will hurt me if he finds out', today she was more open about stuff, however she was still extremely nervous, she has a problem with trust and being believed, as in she doesn't believe that people will believe she's telling the truth because of how close she appears to be to Logan, which is probably Logan's plan, even if Kylie told people what he does she won't be believed, the difference is I've never had a prosecutor or police officer not believe me when I tell them something a patient told me, mainly because of the methods I use, I keep my patients calm and make them feel safe, anyway I should talk to Jade, Tori's been needing to talk to me this week" says Julia
"yeah she's been a bit off lately" says Zoey
"to be fair that's because Jade and Andre got shot this week, nothing fatal but Jade might lose a few fingers on her left hand and Andre got hit in his right shoulder" says Julia
"is this about Tori's music or about your husbands trial, it's definitely going on longer than people thought it would" asks Zoey
"Tori's music, some people are just a little insane, Tori's music has been selling incredibly well, some people seem to think that Jade and Andre are too close to Tori and that neither Jade nor Andre deserve to date Tori, though the connection Jade has to her father and the trial may play a part, it's not known definitively yet" says Julia
"Tori must be absolutely terrified" says Zoey
"I mean she almost lost both of them, so yeah she's quite shaken up" says Julia
"so she's dating both Andre and Jade now" asks Zoey
"no, and she's not certain about her own future, Logan tried to convince the district attorney that he had to talk to Tori, he came within an inch of that attorney caving and letting him talk to her and we both know that wouldn't end well" says Julia as the blood drains from Zoey's face
"she's not going to be safe here, PCA can keep her safe, Dean Rivers moved a bunch of students around, all of us that were targeted by Logan will be getting our own floor in Fulton Hall, Dean Rivers said he'd gladly take Jade, Andre and Tori in if they paid a small fee, small as in three hundred dollars, most of that goes to making room keys and ID badges, all students have to pay that on top of the rooming cost" says Zoey
"the problem is Tori doesn't want to attend PCA, she won't want to feel obligated to switch from Hollywood arts and Jade won't go back, not after Chase made a fool out of her, even if Tori did want to switch to PCA, she would never ask Jade or Andre to switch with her" says Julia
"it's not about getting Tori to switch schools, Logan has some very bad friends in Hollywood, if Logan truly did fail to get to Tori, he will send his friends to make a point, I know this because Logan sent them after Dana after he got to Nicole and Dana got away then came back for Nicole, she has a deep scar along her left arm because of it, they only got away from Los Angeles because of Jade getting them plane tickets, otherwise neither of them could have resisted for long and they'd have been effectively sold like Lucy was, as property for men or maybe Logan himself, two months ago Jade warned me out of the blue that Logan would target me next, had she not warned me about it I wouldn't have been able to report it in time" says Zoey
"does this have anything to do with why Selena had been expelled" asks Julia
"you can thank Chase and Dustin for that, Dustin told Chase that Selena had been raped by Logan days after Jade left last year and not having Jade here, he felt responsible for her safety, he made a decision to tell Rivers about what Logan was doing if Logan had resumed interest in Selena that he felt was creepy, which did happen days before she was expelled, which isn't the term I'd use anyway, she wasn't really expelled, it was a conditional removal from the school for her safety, but they chose the wording 'expelled for failing grades' so that Logan didn't catch on because if he'd found out she was being removed from PCA property to keep her away from him he'd have stopped her from leaving and probably raped her again, he was getting pretty vain" says Zoey
"would he have raped her again" asks Julia
"oh absolutely, he wouldn't have been the only one either and I don't think it was just Logan and Kylie that have raped her, with Lucy and Nicole it was Logan and three other people, Logan would have Nicole and Lucy unconscious for as long as possible then conscious for less than a minute, then unconscious again for as long as possible, he always finds a way to lure girls into trusting him, usually involving money in some way" says Zoey
"how did he get Nicole" asks Julia
"he offered to pay off her parents debt, in return she would go on one date with him, supposedly with no strings attached or expectations of more" says Zoey
"that's a pretty common scam, how could someone like Nicole fall for that" asks Julia
"because Nicole was hoping to relieve her parents of the debt because she's the reason they're in debt, therapy back in Louisiana, enrollment expenses here and then more therapy here, her parents are at least six hundred thousand dollars in debt, probably more, the bank keeps hiking the interest and she asked Jade not to intervene, this was just before Jades account was frozen, Nicole won't budge on that either, she'd feel like she'd owe Jade something" says Zoey
"if she doesn't want Jade to pay it off, or at least lower the amount of money that Nicole's parents owe then why would she have accepted Logan's money" asks Julia
"it's because of Logan that she doesn't want Jade to intervene, though that technically couldn't stop Jade from giving money to Nicole's parents directly and not tell her" says Zoey
"Jade won't do that, not without Nicole's permission, she's funny that way, she won't pay for anything unless she's dating you, if Nicole feels responsible for her parents debt Jade's willing to go against her better judgement and listen to Nicole's request not to intervene in her families future when it comes to financial debt, she may not agree with it but she honors peoples decisions as long as it doesn't involve rape or things like that, she's not like most girls your age" says Julia
"oh I know, anyway you shouldn't keep Tori waiting, I'm sure she has a lot to talk about" says Zoey as she turns to head back upstairs
"you should know that right now their relationship is holding on by a thread, Tori has been threatening to end her music career because of what happened to Jade and Andre" says Julia
"oh I know Jade won't stand for that, there's a lot about Jade that most people don't understand, she looks intimidating but she's actually very caring" says Zoey as she heads upstairs
45 minutes later with Tori and Julia
"do you think Jade will leave me, I mean some of my fans are absolutely nuts, I don't think a relationship can survive this" asks Tori feeling completely lost
"I don't see her giving up that easily, Zoey feels that you aren't safe here after Logan's attempt to get to you, she feels that staying at PCA would be safer, you could have your dad assigned as your security as he is definitely in talks about switching to head of security at PCA, less dangerous and it pays more" says Julia
"he's always worrying about money and how dangerous his job is, he wouldn't be happy in a security job, he loves meeting new people and seeing new parts of Los Angeles and Malibu, places people don't think to check for criminal activity, he loves his job, I don't see why he'd change jobs" says Tori
"I don't know either, all I know is there is some surprise witness in my husbands retrial, the persons identity is being kept secret and that bothers me" says Julia
"maybe there's a connection with PCA, Zoey said that Quinn was an informant for the cops, something about corruption in the school security, personnel or equipment, I don't know the exact details, all I do know is that Zoey said Quinn confronted Logan when the investigation was announced, if it is Quinn that would make sense, protecting her identity would mean Logan can't know for sure if she's ratting on him, that's what dad would do, if a witness testifying could absolutely destroy the defenses case and the witness is a possible target of the defendant, he asks the prosecutor to hide the name of the witness, in this case if it is Quinn, the FBI would have done that" says Tori
"are you sure of this, you said before that your dad never talked to you about police stuff" asks Julia
"during an investigation, not during a trial, he only then does he tell me as much as he can, though he makes me keep them secrets, I can't post about it on social media or talk about it at school" says Tori
"and did he say anything about Quinn for my husbands trial and are you sure he told you that you could tell me" asks Julia
"he mentioned a link to PCA and he didn't tell me I couldn't tell you, he didn't mention Quinn specifically but she'd want revenge if Logan had her and Selena's father killed, besides based on how Jade described Quinn she's absolutely an informant, though on what basis I don't know for sure" says Tori
"Jade and Andre are coming home today, they finally stabilized" says Julia
"ok, now I have a problem, I feel like I have to choose between my music or them and I don't like it, I feel like all the relationship would be is pain and getting shot at" says Tori
"oh honey, they'd literally die for you, Andre made you feel uncomfortable when he accidentally told you how he felt about you and you still let him into your life, even if with restrictions galore, Jade would literally buy you a mansion and several security guards if you asked her to, love is never easy when you're popular, people will always be nuts, it wasn't easy for me either" says Julia
"you had a hard time too because of your husband" asks Tori shocked
"oh absolutely, he's definitely aged worse than most people his age but when him and I were dating, if he got too comfortable when him and I went out to dinner or if we went to the beach girls would swarm him as if he was a stupidly famous movie star, the reason Jade doesn't have a little sister is because of one of those times, we were on a dinner date and some nutcase came running, she'd convinced herself that she was his real girlfriend, she shot me and I lost so much blood that the baby died and I nearly died as well, I was literally a single month away from my due date and everything had been going so, well, especially after three miscarriages the two years before, I didn't want Jade to be an only child, Jade didn't want to be an only child, she's excited and inspired around you, the last time she was this excited was when I told her she was going to be a big sister when she was five" says Julia
"what happened when you didn't come home with her little sister" asks Tori trying to understand Jade more
"oh she absolutely lost it, we came home from the hospital and she asked 'where's Jessica, you promised I'd be a big sister', when I told her Jessica died she didn't believe me, she bit me then went to the baby's room and absolutely destroyed it, she spent nine months making it absolutely perfect, she even practiced how to change diapers, all that was gone, all her father saw was uncontrollable anger, he'd almost lost sight that she was his daughter" says Julia
"did she ever hurt you or her dad" asks Tori
"no but she had a hard time trusting us for a few years after that and even now she would rather keep secrets than trust us, when she was at PCA her and Quinn were definitely working together on something and if Quinn is or was a police informant then Jade was likely as well, Quinn definitely can't afford the stuff she buys for her experiments so she was definitely getting the money from somewhere, Jade and Zoey definitely dated for a few weeks two years ago but they'd both absolutely deny it" says Julia
"Zoey doesn't seem like Jade's type, I'd have a hard time believing they dated" says Tori
"it definitely seems that way doesn't it but people also have a hard time believing that you're Jades type either and yet you're dating, not everything is as it appears with Jade, how she dresses doesn't define who she is or who she's likely to date, there was a time where she needed to be defensive, that's why she has those clothes, it's a signal to others not to mess with her, I've told her for years that I knew she liked girls more than boys and I was ok with it, she got all defensive, told me I was lying, she got several piercings after that, she's beginning to come to terms with it" says Julia
"did she have an awakening, Cat asking me out really set my emotions into overdrive, I want to know if that's a me thing or if every bisexual or gay girl experiences it" says Tori
"some do, some don't, Jade's was quite violent, Zoey had invited her to a play under the guise that it was a group thing and she was an extra because Quinn made Logan back out, Jade didn't get suspicious until the play started and nobody else had shown up, Zoey leaned on Jade and Jade said it made her feed oddly calm and she'd kissed Zoey without thinking, she was freaking out for four days, avoided Zoey, even changed seats in class because her old seat was right next to Zoey, she only calmed down when Zoey talked to her about it" says Julia
"oh ok" says Tori as Zoey walks in with a package for Tori
"hey Tori, a package arrived for you, your dad dropped it off" says Zoey
"odd, I didn't order anything" says Tori suddenly concerned
"your dad asked if Logan sent it, hand on his gun and everything, the person said 'absolutely not, I don't associate with criminals', believe me nobody is scarier than your dad, I don't see many people lying to him" says Zoey
"you better open it just in case it's Bush Daisies, I'm like deathly allergic to them" says Tori as Zoey nods and opens it up
"ok this is odd, it's a sugar castle with you dressed like a princess" says Zoey as Tori calms down
"oh thank God, it's from my sister, is there anything else in the box" says Tori
"some note about a big check coming your dad's way next week, she says she's teaching the Queen's grand daughter self defense and they are paying big for it" says Zoey
"ahh yes, she's a self defense teacher at Oxford in England, last time we talked she said some royal family member was talking to her about that, she wasn't sure that they'd let her because of her education level and the fact that she's Spanish ethnically" says Tori
"wait is your sister Trina Vega" asks Zoey
"yes why" asks Tori
"because Jade said she was coming back for Christmas then going back to England in the new year" says Zoey
"did Jade say it was a secret by chance because she never told me any of that" asks Tori
"Jade and I were talking just before her and Andre left to get groceries, that's when they were shot, she said she'd just gotten off the phone with Trina, she probably didn't have a chance to say anything, you'd gone down for a nap and they'd gone to get groceries, she would have probably told you when they got home" says Zoey
"what's your thought on them getting shot, do you think it's about me and my music or Jade's dad's retrial" says Tori looking for alternatives to the thoughts running amok in her head
"just based on Quinn's reaction to the news I'd say Logan definitely had something to do with it, she went from being nervous about talking about Logan to suddenly talking freely, see the thing about Logan is if he can't get something from someone he makes that person nervous or scared, he couldn't get Quinn like he did Nicole or Selena so he made her scared, told her that she'd be implicated in his crimes because they used to date, probably scared her by having her and Selena's father killed, also probably by turning Jade against her by having Jade's father implicated as the killer, all I know is that she told me she's testifying in Jade's dad's trial tomorrow, that she was going to be able to blow apart any shadow of a doubt that Jade's father didn't kill that their father, she said her evidence alone will show Jade's father is innocent and that Logan is the ring leader" says Zoey
"and you're certain Quinn can prove that" asks Tori
"oh absolutely, Quinn just confirmed my suspicions ten minutes ago, Quinn is an FBI informant and Jade helped her get information, her job was to weed out those inclined to rape at PCA, Logan has been doing this far longer than we realize, it's just with Selena's device in his hands he was able to do it a lot easier, she's been giving the police information about what he's been doing since day one for her at PCA, they've been trying to persuade Logan's father that Logan is dangerous, the feds getting involved finally got his father to see just how dangerous Logan is, that's why PCA is now the safest place for us, Logan's father put millions into security and is looking to hire a current good standing cop as head of security so that PCA and its staff has no direct say in security measures, Tori your father is one of the top considerations because of how he handled the reopening of the investigation into Jade's father, how he intended to right the wrongs committed by those under him expected to follow the law, Mr. West wouldn't be the first innocent person your father freed from incarceration" says Zoey
"ok fair enough, I'll switch to PCA if I have to, though I won't make any decisions until after Christmas, though I would like to go remote at Hollywood arts until then, if you think Jade, Andre and I will be safer there then I trust you but you have to get Chase to agree to stay six feet away and stop thinking she's joking, otherwise she won't agree to go there, even if it's safest there" says Tori
"Chase has more or less taken over Jade's protective role at PCA, him and Dustin working together is why Selena was removed from PCA, it was to get her safely away from Logan because Jade wasn't there to protect her" says Zoey
"do you think Chase would agree to the requests from Jade, you guys going remote therapy would allow me to take on more in person patients, Kylie going back to PCA is basically a given, she just needs FBI approval, which should be coming in the next week or so, Agent Margo was just informed of the information Kylie told me and that neither Selena nor Lucy want Kylie charged" says Julia
"wait I just realized something, if Quinn is an FBI informant, why wouldn't she talk to Agent Margo" asks Tori
"because Agent Margo isn't her handler, she had been ordered to withhold information about her job from everyone except two police officers and her handler, meaning if the questions Agent Margo asked were about her mission she couldn't say anything, not even if talking meant destroying every chance for Logan to be found innocent, Selena was one of the main people she was to protect, something about a family connection to a federal senator in Washington and Selena's absolute inability to defend herself, which explains why Selena dabbles in ultrasonic devices, such high frequency sound devices would protect her from wild animals AND if directed properly any human attackers" says Zoey
"has she said she's defenseless" asks Tori
"that information remains confidential" says Julia as Zoey gets upset
"Mrs. West, with all due respect you can't keep these kinds of secrets, not from a target of Logan, all keeping secrets does is sow mistrust between us, as it is you keeping secrets about Amy being Jades big sister tore Jade and I apart, Amy told me the truth and you made me keep that from Jade, the secret ate away at me until I couldn't look at her without hating myself and broke up with her" says Zoey as Julia sighs
"you have to understand that Amy wasn't in a situation where Jade could be told and have Jade not try and get Amy out of there, Jade would have been kidnapped by them and done God knows what to Jade, I had no choice Zoey, do you think I wanted Jade to grow up an only child, anyway Selena does not want people to know anything she's said to me 'until it's known if the feds will officially charge Logan with crimes nobody is to know', Selena doesn't trust very many people right now, if it were up to me I would tell Tori but these secrets, she decided yesterday that Quinn gets to decide who can know what and when, you only know what you know because she loves you and doesn't want to keep secrets from you, nobody else gets that privilege, I'm bound by the laws of a therapist, as of right now nobody is to know that Kylie is trans, besides you two, Selena and Lucy, she also doesn't feel safe with Logan attempting escape after escape to get to people he wants control over, Tori is but one popular one that he will try and influence even if he is eventually sentenced to whatever years in jail, Nicole is another, her and Dana coming back to Los Angeles is dangerous, I'm trusting you with their lives Zoey, now go, I have more to discuss with Tori before Jade and Andre get here, they were just released from the hospital" says Julia
"I'll talk to Quinn, I don't think Selena being defenseless should be a secret because it's literally how Logan was able to get to her and do what he did, it's at the core of what he did, Nicole is also rather defenseless, he uses his charm to get around people's nervousness, the sooner it's made public that he goes after scared and nervous defenseless girls the better the trial will go when it happens, he hoodwinked all of us girls at PCA when we first started there, nobody will ever truly know how many girls he's taken advantage of because he shames them into secrecy, Selena didn't want anyone to know she'd been raped, had the investigation into your husband not been reopened and the lies been exposed, Logan would STILL be exploiting girls, people need to know" says Zoey as she leaves
