Tonks looked in the mirror and adjusted her dress robes while ignoring the nausea that was beginning to creep up as the anti-nausea potion wore off. She'd need to take another before they left for the wedding, but at the moment, Remus was in the bedroom with her putting on his own robes for the wedding, and she couldn't risk it.

It had been a stressful few days. She'd taken to waking up before him and taking a dose of the potion right away before she needed to rush to the toilet, and when they were both at home, she'd been excusing herself to the bathroom a little more than normal whenever the potion wore off. He might have thought that it was strange that she suddenly needed to pee so much, but at least that was better than him knowing just how sick she felt most days.

"Are you sure you're okay?" he asked, making eye contact with her through the mirror.

He'd finished getting dressed, and Tonks took the time to observe him. She'd never seen him in such formal clothes before, and even though she could tell that it was an older set of robes, he looked dashing. She wished she felt well enough to actually enjoy it.

She plastered on a smile. "Of course. I told you. It was just something I ate. I'm fine now."

He gave her a tight smile that didn't reach his eyes. She was stretching the lie to its breaking point, but they only needed to make it through the rest of the day and she would finally tell him the full truth.

She could make it through one day.
