Chapter 2: Daphne Greengrass
Author's Note: This chapter is a non-magic and no Voldemort one shot, and Everybody is alive
Harry was standing in front of the mirror getting ready for his date with Daphne Greengrass Hogwarts High's very own Ice Queen. The reason why they call her that is because of her Icey Blue eyes would freeze you in an instant if you get on her bad side and most of the time it's the boys that drool over her long wavy jet black hair and Venus like body, Ever since she and her family moved to London three months ago and Harry got to know her in those three months; he puts on his black jacket to go with his red shirt and dark blue Denim Jeans as well as a pair of black and red sneakers. He looked at his watch and it is 6:20 and he told her that he would pick her up at her house which is on the other side of town at 7:15. He walks out of his room and downstairs.
"Woah son you're looking sharp" James said as he saw Harry walking down the stairs and into the living room
"Thanks dad" Harry said as walking to the door
"Harry where are you going this evening" Lily asked
"I've got a date tonight mum" Harry replied
Lily gasped "Oh Harry that is so wonderful" she said as she hugged Harry
"That's my boy" James said as he smiles then asks "Who's the lucky girl is it Cho Chang your crush, you known her for a long time Harry"
"No dad it's not her she's in love with Cedric Diggory and as her friend I concede to her decision and I wish the best for them. Just because I knew Cho for years that does not mean I deserve her love or she's my soulmate" Harry said
"Wow Harry that is very mature of you son"
"Thanks dad she had a crush on me too, but Cedric beat me to it and Cho and I will remain friends" Harry told James
"What about that cute red headed girl Ginny Weasley you know that she has a crush on you" Lily said
"No not her mum she is my friend Ron's sister and from what Sirius told me is that dating your friend's sister is always a no go from the get go" Harry said then he tells his parents "The girl I'm going out with is Daphne Greengrass"
"Daphne Greengrass" Harry's parents said in unison
"Doesn't Greengrass family t moved into Hogsmeade and lives on the other side of town with the Malfoys and the Parkinson family as well as the Notts and you know that they are snobs" James said
"Yes, I know that those families are snobs, but Daphne is a sweet girl, but she hides under her ice queen mask because of boys at her our keep drooling over her"
"Alright but where are taking her Harry?" Lily asked
"I'm taking her to a movie and then some dinner at Leo's bistro" Harry replied
"Aww that's really nice Harry I hope that you and Daphne have a good time" Lily said
"Thanks mum and dad" Harry told his parents then looks at his watch and says "Look at the time I got to go" he says goodbye to his parents "bye mum, bye dad"
"Bye Harry" James and Lily said as Harry walked out of the house and to his car which is a silver 2002 Nissan Skyline GT-R that has been modified and it was a gift from his Godfather Sirius.
Harry gets in his car before he starts the engine, he takes out his phone from his pocket and texts Daphne and tells her that he is on his way. He drives out of the driveway and on to the road, driving his way to the Greengrass Manor.
Meanwhile in the Greengrass Manor, Daphne was in her room combing her black hair and putting it in a ponytail for her date with Harry and was wearing a green crop top and grey skinny jeans as well as a pair of green and white sneakers . She receives a text massage from Harry on her phone saying that he was on his way her heart fluttered at the idea of Harry picking her up in his car instead of a limo like that arrogant ponce Draco Malfoy who lives next her. She remembers that he took her on a date to a fancy and expensive restaurant three weeks ago and while on the way there the Malfoy scion kept on touching her inappropriately and she had enough of that and kicked him his family jewels then went back home. Unlike that ferret boy Harry knows how treat a girl with respect not like a trophy wife as well as not brag how rich he and his family are. As Daphne was applying her lips with red lipstick, she hears a knock on the door, and it was her sister Astoria and she asked, "Can I come in?"
"Sure, come in" Daphne replied as Astoria went inside the room and sat on Daphne's bed
"So, you're going out again and who is it this time?" Astoria asked
"It's Harry Tori" Daphne answered
"Harry? as in THE Harry Potter! The Golden Boy of Hogwarts High and the second handsome boy in the school" Astoria said as her eyes widen
Daphne huffs and she replies with "Yes that Harry could not you make a grand deal out it Tori"
"It is a big deal Daph Harry is rich, kind, handsome and…" Astoria drools as she struggles to finish her sentence
"You're drooling Tori" Daphne chuckles
"What I don't drool" Astoria said stubbornly
"Sure, you do" Daphne said sarcastically
Harry arrives at the Greengrass family estate which is much bigger than his house. Harry sees the guard and tells him that he is here for Daphne and the guard opens the gate and tells Harry to go on ahead. Harry stops the car, gets out and walks to the door then knocks on it and Daphne's father Stephen opens the door, he is just as tall as Harry and has brown hair and blue eyes standing beside him was his wife and Daphne's mother Roxanne who just looks like Daphne but older and has hazel eyes. Stephen greets Harry "Ah, you must be the Potter boy" as he offers a handshake to Harry.
Harry shakes the Greengrass Patriarch's hand and replies with "Yes sir" Harry also shakes Roxanne's hand
"Come on in" Stephen said
The Greengrass Parents and Harry walks into the Manor and into the living room they and sit on the couch they talk for a bit and ask Harry some questions like how he and Daphne meet? and what are his goals in life? He answers the questions calmly most boys his age would have been extremely nervous when they meet their significand others' parents especially Daphne who has a reputation of being an ice queen at school and probably her parents are like that as well, However they are really nice don't act like snobs like the Malfoys do. Stephen and Roxanne seem to like Harry he is well-mannered and easy to get along with. Harry was thinking to himself that it must be the Potter charm that is getting Daphne's parents to like him then Roxanne asks him "Where are you and Daphne going this evening.?"
"Daphne and I are going to see a movie and have dinner at Leo's" Harry replied
"That's really romantic Harry" Roxanne said
"Yeah I've heard that place before and it's really fancy, and the prices of the food are expensive also the reservations are tough to get" Stephen interjected
"Yes, and I place my reservations tonight after the movie" Harry said then asks is "Daphne here?"
Roxanne replies "Yes she is here hold on Harry" then she calls Daphne who is upstairs in her room "Daphne your Romeo is here and waiting for you downstairs"
"Okay Mum I'm coming downstairs tell Harry hold on a second" Daphne said
"Wait he is here" Astoria said hyperactively
"Yeah he is I just got to get my phone, my jacket and my purse" Daphne said as her gets her phone on her dresser and then puts on her grey jacket
The Greengrass sisters walked downstairs and they see Harry talking to their Parents in the living room. They walk up to the Raven-haired boy and he gave his famous lopsided smile at Daphne who composed herself and smiles back at Harry while Astoria on the other hand passes out at the sight of Harry's smile and hit the floor with a thud. Roxanne and Stephen rushed over to their younger daughter's side wondering what happened to her and tells Harry and Daphne to have fun on their date while they take care of Astoria.
"Is she going to be okay" Harry asked
"Don't worry Tori will be fine" Daphne shrugged
"Alright" Harry said
They left the Manor and walked to Harry's car where he opens the door for Daphne, and he walks to the driver's side and drives out the driveway.
"Where we going first Harry?" Daphne asked
"We are going to see a movie first then go to Leo's for dinner" Harry replies
"Leo's isn't that in the of middle of town and it's nearly impossible to get reservations?" she asked then continues "Sorry I never been around this part of town before it's usually the-"
"Lemme guess the Mall with your friends, School and your lavish manor and lavish parties with other like-minded snobs" Harry interrupted
"Yeah that's pretty much my life right there" Daphne giggled
"That's much my life too, but make something out of my life rather than live off my family's wealth" Harry told Daphne
"Say no more I want be a Defense Attorney I'm currently working part time as an intern at the Bones Law Firm" Daphne told Harry then asks, "what about you? what do see yourself in ten years?"
"I want to be a fighter pilot of the Royal Air Force like my father after I graduate from both High School and College of course and I'm working as a part time Mechanic at my godfather's garage and gas station called Wolfstar Auto Works"
"Impressive Harry I admire your ambition and your work ethic I never imagine a rich and handsome guy like yourself being caked in motor oil all the time and wanting to join the Military" Daphne said
"I can say the same thing about you I would never imagine a hot sexy rich girl like you working in a office piled with paperwork instead of piling on bills of mummy and daddy's credit card" Harry said
Daphne blushes and giggles as she and Harry have something in common other than being rich and popular. Harry drives into a parking lot and pays the toll and they get out the car which puzzles Daphne and she asks, "Why did we stop for?"
Harry replies with "don't worry the movie theater and Leo's are within walking distance of the parking lot"
"Alright it's just that I've heard that anything past the parking lot is not good" Daphne said nervously
Harry assures her with "It's okay I'm a black belt in Kyukoshin Karate and Jujitsu if anybody tries anything besides most of the undesirables here like to lurk in the alleys"
Daphne nods her head as she and Harry walk to the movie theater when they got to the booth Harry asks Daphne "What movie do you want to watch?"
"Um, how about Ford vs. Ferrari since you like cars so much I'd figured you like it" Daphne said
"Okay I remember hearing story about the rivalry between Henry Ford II and Enzo Ferrari had in 1966 but I never imagine they made a movie about it 53 years later alright let's watch it." Harry said then he asks the movie usher for two tickets to the Ford vs. Ferrari movie. He pulls out his wallet to pay Daphne protests, but Harry insisted that he pay for the tickets. Daphne was okay with it and they went inside the theater.
"Do you want any Popcorn" Harry asked
"No, it would spoil our appetite" Daphne said
They sat in the theater and started to watch movie as the movie progresses Harry put his arm around Daphne's waist normally, she would have pushed him off, but she feels safe around him, she snuggles into his chest. Harry smiles and mutters that she looked cute doing it which makes Daphne snuggle even more on to him as well as inhaling his natural scent which is making her go weak in the knees. Harry lays his head on to hers and inhales her lavender and vanilla scented shampoo hair which is drawing him in like magnet as they watch the movie together.
As the movie concludes, Harry and Daphne decided to stay in the arcade section of the Movie Theater to work up their appetites before going to Leo's The two raven- haired teens were playing games like Afterburner, Terminator Salvation, Time Crisis 4, House of the Dead, Initial D Ultimate Drift where Harry showed off his driving skills Daphne was glad that Harry was driving like that in the video game and not in real life it would have been impossible to pull off those inhuman turns at high speed on those serpentine roads unless if you are a racecar driver. Both Harry and Daphne also go into the photo booth where they took some whacky photos with each other like Daphne wearing Harry's glasses and Harry playing with her hair using as a moustache. Harry plays the skill crane game and wins a green dragon plushie then gives it to Daphne and she thanks him then gives him a kiss on the cheek. After an hour of playing the arcade games Harry hears a loud grumble coming from Daphne's stomach indicating she is hungry.
Harry and Daphne walk out of the Movie Theater and to Leo's bistro hand in hand once they enter inside they walk up to the waiter's booth, Harry says to the waiter table for two under Potter then he whispers in the waiter's ear about something which intrigues Daphne but Harry gives her his trademark grin and tells her you're going to ruin the surprise while he gives the waiter a 20 dollar bill.
"If you please follow me to your table sir and ma'am" the waiter said
The two raven-haired teens followed the waiter to their table and Harry has Daphne sit down and pushes her into the table and sits down himself. The waiter thought it was sweet of him doing that. The Waiter asks "What would you two have for tonight? ladies first"
"I'll have the Carbonarra and a glass of black cherry flavored sparkling water" Daphne said
"Now the Gentleman" the waiter says to Harry
"I'll have the Lobster Spaghetti and a glass of ginger ale" Harry said
"Right away" the waiter said as he went in the Kitchen
"Harry this date so far has been amazing first the movie then playing games at the arcade and now dinner this is a date I'll never forget" Daphne said
"Even better than that date with Ferret Boy or he is commonly known as Draco Malfoy" Harry said impersonating his rival
Daphne laughs at his reference of the Malfoy Scion as a member of the she stops laughing and says "Yeah Ferret Boy was just trying to get me to be a trophy to show off to those inbred snobs he calls friends much like his father did to his mother when we were on our first date and I had enough of that and kicked him in his bits."
"Ferret Boy always like to follow L'Oréal Malfoy's footstep he could probably be on the next cover issue and that would be the first time in his life that he would work for something not have a silver spoon feeding him or in this case shoved up in his arse" Harry said
"Yup it would be like watching a baby taking his or her's first steps" Daphne giggled then asks, "Did you have a first date gone wrong?"
"Well I did had some flings but the one relationship that I took seriously was with a girl named Romilda Vane last year. On paper she was a nice, caring, smart and pretty girl however things changed on our one month anniversary I took her to a nice French restaurant called Pierre's where she went to the bathroom and I waited for about 30 minutes until I went to go see what's taking so long for her and I caught her butt naked having sex with some guy named Cormac Mclaggen who was a sleazebag much like ferret boy. I kicked his arse and stormed out of there heartbroken." Harry said
"Oh Harry I'm so sorry that happened to you" Daphne said as she held his hand then asks, "what happened after that?"
"Three days later after that fiasco date Romilda tried get back with me but my best friend Cho kicked her arse when she tried to hit me after I rejected her then Romilda left because her family was moving somewhere else"
"Serves her right what was that bitch even thinking of cheating on you and then try to weasel her way back to you and good for your friend Cho for whooping that disgusting cunt's asre" Daphne said
"Yeah Cho sure did" Harry said as their meals came in
"Wow this looks good" Daphne said
"And here's the surprise" Harry said as a Violinist appeared and started to play Daphne was overfilled with tears of joy gets up and hugs Harry
"Harry thank you this is really amazing" Daphne said
Harry smiles and hugs back "Your welcome Daph let's eat our food is getting cold"
Harry and Daphne enjoy their food once they were done, they walked out of the restaurant and head to Harry's car which is parked in the parking lot. While on they were walking to the parking lot a group of thugs approached Harry and Daphne and circle the two teens. The thugs look at Daphne lustfully as they still have their gaze on Harry. One of them who happens to be the leader and was an inch shorter than Harry wearing a grey wife beater and olive baggy jeans as well as pair of white sneakers says also wearing a black skully on his head and have some tattoos "What do we have here" as he looks at the two raven haired teens.
"What do you guys want?" Harry asked as signals Daphne to get behind him
"The fuck does it look like pretty boy money, watch, phone" The other thug who is the same height as Harry wearing a brown jacket with a white shirt and blue jeans and wearing a black leather baseball hat backwards interjected and looks at Daphne "Oh yeah your girl too we'll show her a good time ain't that right fellas?" the thug said
The rest of them sniggered and one of them who was lot bigger and muscular than the others says, "Yeah we will especially me I got the big one" as he was checking out Daphne and grabbing his crotch
"Um keep that in your pants" Daphne snapped at the thug and says to Harry "Harry let's get out of here"
"Alright Daph" Harry tells Daphne and says sternly to the thugs "Let us go now"
The lead thug says "Whoa slow your role rich boy either pay up" then he pulls out his switch blade knife "or get cut up your choice pretty boy"
"Yeah as if you ever cut up anybody with that butter knife of yours" Harry said
"Oh, we got ourselves a comedian over here" The lead thug says as he put away his knife
"Are you going let us go or do you want me stay and do standup street comedy"
"Here why not I throw first punchline" the lead thug said then he punches Harry, but Harry blocks the blow then counters with a stomach punch and finishes him with an elbow strike to his face knocking him out cold. The second thug tries to punch Harry, Harry grabs his arm and trips him to the ground then Harry dislocates the thug's arm. Harry does a roundhouse kick to another thug and it hits him in the temple following up with a spinning hook kick which the thug went down.
The fourth thug pulls out a knife and tries to stab the raven-haired teen, but Harry grabs his arm and twists it, kicks him in the balls and then axe kicks him for good measure.
Daphne was impressed of Harry's skill in martial arts Harry was knocking out these undesirables like there was no tomorrow. She see the last thug who happens to be the big guy attempting to attack Harry from behind and warns him but no avail as the thug's fist connects with Harry's face which staggers him a bit then retaliates with a four punch combination and does a Reverse Roundhouse kick knocking the big guy out which he fell to the ground hard.
"Wow Harry that was amazing you showed those guys" Daphne said
"Yeah thanks but we have to get out of here" Harry said as he hears police sirens from a distance
"You're right let's go Harry"
Harry and Daphne walked fast to the parking lot and get into the car and Harry drives to the Greengrass Manor once there they get out of the car and walk up to the stoop of the manor.
"Daphne, I apologize if I got into that mess" Harry said
"Harry, those creeps deserve every kick and punch you gave them back there" Daphne told Harry then assures him "I had good time with you and I would love to go on another date with you"
"Yeah we should" Harry replied
"Harry I really-"
"I'm feeling the same way about you too Daph" Harry interrupted
"Really" she asked
"Yeah" Harry said as he and Daphne smiled at each other they leaned into to a kiss the sensation of the kiss was sweet and passionate as Harry has his arms wrapped around Daphne's waist and Daphne has her fingers run through Harry's hair. After a few minutes of kissing they break off for some air. Daphne wanted to offer Harry to come inside but that going too far. She kisses Harry on the lips one more time then tells him goodbye as he gets into his and drives off. Daphne goes into her house ending her best nights she had.
