Niall made small talk with Moxxie and Millie while Blitzo drove to Stola's Palace to pick him and his daughter up and act as security on their visit to Lulu Land "okay its about time I explain what happened yesterday turns out because I share my soul with my partner I can't go through portals until I find some way around it" they both looked at him confused with the others listening in from the front "what partner are you on about kid because as far as I can see they no one with you" Blitzo remarked taking a left turn seeing Stola's home in view.
Niall smirked "I'm afraid your wrong on that one Hydranoid why don't you introduce yourself you've been weirdly quiet today" to the others they saw a little black and purple sphere rising from my shirt pocket with opening after floating a bit away from Nialls chest "I am Hydranoid sworn to defend my partner Niall and strike down his enemies" he lands on Niall's shoulder "What the fuck that toy is your partner that you share a soul you really are stupid" Loona commented and while that did annoy Niall it enraged Hydranoid. Niall put a hand up and rubbed the back of Hydranoid's neck "she doesn't know anything of your real power in fact later we will have to give them a demonstration" that seemed to have worked as Hydranoid calmed down.
Loona spoke up again from the passenger seat in the front "how did you end up sharing a soul with that thing?" he decided to answer the question despite the insult "that thing is my bakugan my soul split when I arrived to hell for some reason and since he was the only possession that I had a lot of emotional attachment to on me the portal somehow split my split between me and the now living Hydranoid" he raised his hand to scratch the back of Hydranoid's head
Niall turned his attention back to Millie and Moxxie "so do you two know what's going on cause haven't been told what it is yet?" Moxxie opened his mouth but was cutoff by Blitzo from the front "today we acting as security for a royal birdbrain and his daughter at Lulu Land" upon hearing this Nialls internal screaming was so loud that day that others if they listened hard enough could hear it.
Blitzo pulled up to the front of Stola's Palace where said royal and his daughter Octavia were waiting to be picked up a sour expression on her face as the side door of the van opened. When they entered the car Niall noticed that they looked pretty much like owls Stolas sat on the same seat that Millie and Moxxie were sitting while Octavia sat beside him. He took notice of their clothes with Octavia being dressed in a shit ton of gothic emo/punk cloths while Stolas wore what looked to be the amusement park's themed merch even down to a ridiculous smiling apple hat 'what the heck have I gotten into'.
He stayed quiet for the first few minutes of the trip trying to avoid conversation so as to not arouse attention from the avian monarch however all things come to an end with this particular thing ending by a question from Stola's as he finally took notice of the man sitting beside his daughter "Blitzo who is the new fellow I haven't seen him in your work office or on any of your little missions to the human world?" Niall froze 'Blitzo please don't run your mouth off' "oh him he's the new guy we picked him up a few days ago as I felt we could use another guy to help out after the last few jobs haven't gone according to plan" Blitzo turned round to glare at Moxxie causing him to swallow reflexively while going wide eyed 'I have the feeling that Blitzo's can't give a fuck attitude is the best part so far as I haven't seen Moxxie this scared but I could be reading to much into it'.
Stola's brow furrowed doubting that Blitzo was telling the complete truth as something about the employee screamed wrong to him but chose to let it be for now. Niall turned to the one that he was sitting beside "hey you awri?" he could see the upset look on her face as he used to fume the same way when he was annoyed with his parents she looks at him quickly "why does it matter to you?" she snaps he took a few moments to carefully choose his words as this could cause either her to lash out or hopefully calm her down "I don't like to see others upset" he gave her but the answer did not satisfy her "its none of your business about how I feel you wouldn't understand anyway" she turns and looks away from him.
Niall becomes determined to help her out of pure stubbornness but 'I have to wait to see what's wrong and if I can even help if the first place without exposing what I am' everyone continued to make small talk on the way to the amusement park.
Blitzo parked the van and Stola's opens the side door letting everyone out. Niall stuck by Octavia taking his job seriously while noticing the shenanigans everyone else was up to. Moxxie was struggling to win a game that was obviously rigged "I'm going to win that thing it if takes all day" taking shot after shot at the target hitting hit but for some reason it would not go down bit that changed when Millie took her shot and missed but the target went down 'oh ho ho Mox I hope you kick the shit out of that scumbag' bringing his attention back to Octavia.
Stolas teased Blitzo the whole time until he saw the Circus "oh Via the circus oh how you used to shed tears of joy" remembering bringing her down to the circus. Octavia was not happy at all remembering the trauma of seeing horrifying clown "oh no" she felt a hand on her shoulder and looked to find Niall with a look of concern on his face "hey you awri" she jerks away from him "what did I tell you leave me alone" he took a deep breath with his eyes closed "Octavia don't do what I did" this caught her attention "wait what are you talking about" she let her guard down "Now I don't know what kind of problems you have or what your going through but don't do them alone the pain will eat at you until all that's left is a bitter hateful shell" she absorbs the information and without saying anything into the circus following her father and Blitzo inside "are you sure your making the right decision partner?" Hydranoid questioning Niall's actions.
Nial just looks at Octavia as she enters the circus "Hydranoid when I look at her I see myself from several years ago, call it whatever you like but if I can help someone who is in pain at least I can make the world just that little brighter" Hydranoid looks at Niall contemplating his words "you are an interesting and paradoxical you are perpetually pushed by the burning rage seeded in your soul yet you retain the light inside to use that rage to the benefit of others" he concluded Niall smiled and just walked into the circus confusing Hydranoid.
The sight that befell him make his blood run cold one of the few things that terrified him to the bone 'mother fucking clown' on the stage a robotic clown was singing a song "every boy, every girl, every woman, every woman, every man loves LooLoo Land" ending his song with robotic chuckling. Looking for his charges he spots them in the stand and goes to sit in the bench beside them seeing Blitzo pretty much noscope some tiny cyclops demon "it seems we have company" Hydranoid flexed his small wings "it seems we have" he hears some yelling seeing Octavia running off "Son of a bitch" he sprints after her catching up to her in a creepy apple themed fun house.
Breathing hard as he was not used to running that much he started giving out "Octavia why...off all times huh huh huh when there's BLOODY ASSASSINS THAT MAKES YOU THINK ITS A GOOD IDEA TO GO OFF ON YOUR ON huh huh huh damn I need to get in shape hooo" bending over trying to catch his breath, Octavia stutters trying to formulate a sentence "I-I I couldn't take it anymore" she crys her tone catching his attention standing back up to see tears welling up in her eyes.
"well boys looks like we're getting g lucky today" they both see that they were surrounded by about 10 of the smaller demons that Blitzo had shot earlier "if you want her you'll have to get through me anklebiter" the group burst out laughing "what's a kid gonna do to us your outnumbered just give up the girl and you might not get hurt" that started fuelling the fires of defiance Nialls being "I'll show you Hydranoid you want a piece" he turns his head to his partner "I think now would be a good time to test your abilities and to build up your experience" giving his answer Niall shrugged his shoulders "fair enough" flowing the Darkus energy he created to small orbs the size of a small ball you would throw to a dog.
A cocky member of there group laughed "away look boys the kid thinks he can use magic" using the baby voice on Niall angering him "oh yeah well have a taste of this" he throws the one sphere in his left hand straight towards the wise guy "oh crap" unfortunately for him he pulled a gohan and forgot to dodge blowing him up as well and killing another and wounding another sending it flying. The rest becoming scared after seeing what the kid could do their boss snapped them out of it "he's just one person rush him"
Niall turns to Octavia "I'm going to make an opening and when that happens run for it I'll hold them off" he see that the boss is managing to get the moraleof their little squad back "what about you" she asks fear causing her to tremble "don't argue with me" he throws the blast toward the few behind him sending two more demons to oblivion "Now go" she runs through the gap deeper into the fun house 'damn that those two pretty much took everything I could muster up back to good old fists' then' cracking his neck and popping his knuckles he gives the gesture bring it on with his hand "this is going to be fun"
Niall Pov
From my count before there was about 6 of the wee bastards left but I can't get cocky. "This is going to be fun" two of the ones in front charge at me carrying knives in in their hands I sweep my left leg catching you on them but the other jumps toward me.
I bat his knife hand away using my left arm while grabbing the pint size demon. I raise the bastard to slam him down onto my knee to break its back but halfway down a burning pain erupted in my shoulder "aaagggh" I look over my shoulder to see one of the bastards that was behind me was hanging off my back by a knife imbedded in my shoulder "oh ho ho your nexr t you little bastard" I raise the demonic gremlin that was choking in my grip slicing my arm with his knife trying to make me let go I raise him up and slam him down a satisfying resounding crack resounding through the air.
Not wasting time I reach and barely manage to grab the one on my back before the others were slashing at anything they could hit on me "why can't I ever get a break!"I throw the demon to the ground In front of me the fear in its eyes fueling my bloodlust I slam my foot on the demons head breaking its neck. A member of their group slashes the back of my left leg forcing me onto one knee '2 down 4 to go you can do this you can't lose to these things.
I spot the dagger that the one I just killed dropped grabbing it and swinging it behind me luckily cutting off some fingers of one the remains ones knife hand the screams music to my ears "are yous lads serious its just one fucking guy finish this up already" the leader of the group is standing a bit away from the fight gripping the knife in my hand harder anger beginning to floe through my veins I grab the one on the right in front of me while attempting to kick the other one missing it. I swing the knife in my hand into a reverse grip bringing it down onto the skull of the one I had caught.
However I forgot about the final 2 of the demons gang as the one I missed stabbed the leg I tried to kick it with and the other one stabs me into my right side. I will swing my knife behind me finally killing the one that I relieved of his fingers earlier. I was breathing hard by this stage exhausted and in excruciating pain 'damn it come on just one more and then all I have to do is bloody kill their damn boss' I set my sights on the final one using what little strength I have left to rip the knife from his grasp and putting my hands around the little bastards neck and squeezed. It felt like an eternity watching the miniscule demon's fear and panic and his attempt at escape becoming weaker and weaker until nothing I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding.
The boss walked over a smug grin on his face "for a kid you did awri but I can't let you get in my way especially now that you killed my boys" he pulls out a revolver 'Okay Niall you have one shot don't mess it up' I spin my legs "aaaahhhhhhh" the pain from the slashes as well as the knife in my damn leg working to my advantage the scream startling him for a single moment but that moment was all I need as he fell to the ground from the leg sweep grabbing the revolver before he got back up "nice try" I unload a full volley of rounds into him.
Once all the rounds were spent I fell over onto my back exhausted and trying not to aggravate my wounds "ha my first fight that I didn't need someone to save my ass ha ha ha ha" chuckling despite the pain in my chest. I hear footsteps that sped up towards me 'oh for fuck sake more of them welp I'm dead' but to me thankfully surprise it was Octavia, Blitzo and Stolas "what happened you guys are late to the party and you what happened in where I told you to run" she propped me up "easy easy I'm tender right now" She laughs shaking her head "I did I ran to get help" even though though I was pissed I couldn't help but laugh "one the one hand you did do what you sure told to an extent and you did manage to get help so I'll give you this one" Stolas starts to work on the stab wounds as they were the worst of my injuries.
Time skip
We were heading back to drop Stolas and Octavia back at their mansion. I was mostly okay the the worst of the injuries I had were fixed up thanks to Stolas "You were stupid back there kid taking on that many by yourself when we get back to the office I'm going to have Moxxie teach you how to use a gun but considering what happened good to see you alive" Blitzo remarked as we get pretty close to the Goetia mansion.
Stolas glanced at the one who had risked his life to keep his daughter safe and had made a decision "Blitzy I was wondering if I could borrow your employee for a short while" Blitzo casts a look at Stolas "fine by me just don't traumatise my worker after you fuck him" Stolas rolls his eyes at the comment looking back again at me.
I smiled as Octavia and Stolas got out of the van "we should hang out sometime preferably without the assassins" laughing at my own joke making her giggle "sure sounds like fun" I wave her goodbye but Blitzo hadn't driven off "Niall would you come in for a few minutes I need to speak with you" "he opens the door shrugging my shoulders I get out of the van to follow him however as soon as I stepped out Blitzo careered out of the the driveway "what the?" trying to process what is going on what just happened my train of thought was broken when Stolas called me "Niall we can talk in the kitchen after I talk with Octavia" he brings me to the kitchen "make yourself at home" he turns and leaves the kitchen leaving me on my own.
Looking around the kitchen itself looked top of the line of fancy marble counters with a massive plant with loads of eyes "ooh creepy" I sat down at the table and waited for Stolas Hydranoid sitting on it in front of me "Niall I don't like this" his instincts telling him something was up "what are you talking about?" he groaned at my question "Niall a Prince of Hell wanted you to come to his home and from my observation there haven't been any sinners in any of the other circles we've been today" realising what he was talking about fear started to creep inside me "shit so what your saying is he may know that I'm not a sinner" the silence from Hydranoid giving me my answer "damn it" slamming my fist onto the table "is something wrong" I froze hearing Stola's voice 'FFFFFUUUUCCCKKKKK'
