Musical Wind Episode#2

What's up guys! It's been a LOOOOOONG time since the last chapter of the story since honestly I just like to do this type of thing in my free time when I have literally NOTHING else to do, I also get sidetracked alot. But finally after so long we have the continuation from last time. Lot's of world building in this chapter specifically, but things will start amping up to the grand "adventure very soon!

"Sonic?"

Mina was crazily flabbergasted about who just came in the door. 'Why is he here? He doesn't even go to school!' It seemed wrong, but instead of her being surprised, she was more mad at Sonic for being there.

Its like every time she tried to get him out of her mind recently, he just kept coming back to haunt her subconscious. And now, he's right HERE!

"Yo! Sonic the Hedgehog, the one and only! The Blue Blur exclaimed.

"Why hello Mr. Maurice, if you would be so kind as to take a seat young man." slyly instructed.

'Maurice?' Mina thought. 'That's his last name?'

Sonic looked slightly embarrassed. "U-Uh, my bad', but I don't go by that name." He then started to walk to the back corner of the classroom to take a seat.

"Oh! Sorry Sonic but I usually call everybody by their last name, my apologies. apologized with a smirk on her face.

As Sonic went to the corner of the room, the classroom went crazy while he made his way to his seat. Left and right people were screaming; "Yo Sonic! Sit over here!" Or "Hey Sonic! Remember that one time you did [insert event here] that was awesome!"

But what was bothering Mina was the simple fact of; WHY was HE here?

If she remembered correctly (by word of mouth since she personally had not talked to Sonic in 2 years), Sonic finished High School SOMEHOW and then headed off on his own adventures after school. It made sense, he wasn't the type of guy who wanted to get an education and go into some type of formal career. As anyone who knows Sonic knows, he was like the wind. Wherever it went, he went with it.

And apparently him and Sally were going steady as well, and she was a Princess, so she probably had Sonic covered for any financial given situation.

But again, why in the world is he here?

He didn't seem to notice Mina as he walked up the stairs to his seat, she was in the front row herself. And then the class continued on from there as if none of that happened.

Again though, Mina was absolutely confused about the entire given situation. It seemed like everything was happening so fast. One moment she was kissing her mom goodbye, then she fell asleep into the start of the class and then she meets Sonic again after so long of being apart.

During the class nothing was really happening, the teacher was just going over the syllabus about all the information and course requirements of the class. The room was fairly medium sized, not like a typical college classroom, but a smaller high school-esque one. There were nine tables, all evenly spread out vertically but horizontally perpendicular to each other throughout, with a smart board in the front. Mina was in one of the front table with three other people with her. One was a human, looking to be a tan-skinned latina girl that didn't look a day over 15 years old but was apparently 21 years old, as Mina would later find out. She had on a red and whiteHollister shirt with a midriff with tight ripped jeans and red sneakers to go with her top.

The other one was a fairly tall hawk with black feathers who had an orange Hoodie with khaki shoes and black shoes to match. He had a very laid back personality as it seemed to Mina.

Finally the last one was a female echidna with purple fur who also looked really pretty. She had tribal echidna bands in her long but wild dreadlocks and had beautiful lavender eyes to match. She looked particularly curvy and had an athletic frame.

Eventually the teacher decided to get right into a lab project where the students had to use water solutions to see how different elements, that she provided, reacted to the solutions. Each glass of water had different pH levels so the colors ranged from white, orange, to even blue.

Working with her classmates was fine enough, although Mina did think it was crazy but still awesome that a healthy amount of humans were in the classroom at each table. Since the humans and mobians recently worked together to help Sonic combat one of the greatest war threats by the one and only genius Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik, in a tenacious battle about two years ago, the two civilizations have been at great peace and have now Integrated one another in each of their societies. Now mobians and humans are now harmonized. It was actually recently seen that the two civilizations have begun to romantically see each other in some instances.

Mina wondered how weird that might have looked to people like their ancestors or even people in another dimesnsion.

Thinking about this, Mina had her hand on her chin and Absent mindedly followed the instructions of the lesson she heard a voice from her table that jolted her back to her senses.

"Hey uhhh, purple haired girl?" A voiced chimed.

Mina violently jerked back after being caught off guard. "Huh? Ohh, sorry!" She said with a awkward tone in her voice. "I was just dozing off in my own little world for a second!"

After snapping back to reality, Mina saw that the latina girl was actually the one talking to her. Looking to her left, she saw the black hawk guy was pouring liquid onto a stick and then dipping ito one of the solutions of water. While the purple echidna girl was writing stuff down.

"Awww, it's fine hermana! I was just checking since you seemed pretty out of it." The latina said.

"I appreciate that." She nervously laughed. "Is there something else we're supposed to do?" She asked while also waving her hand around what the table was doing at that moment.

"Nahhh, I just thought we could do some introductions, so we could get to know each other better!" She beamed.

"O-Oh… okay. Well who wants to g-" Mina stammered.

"Mynameisjenneiferbarahona!Im21andiliketoswimeatspendtimewithmyfamilyandgotoammuesmentparksihave3siblingsandimactuallytheoldestoutofallofthemImgoingtocoleegesoicanbeaveterinarianwhocanhelpcuteanimalsCreoque tambiéntengomuchasganasdeencontrarelamordemivida, ohDiosmíoestoytanemocionadodeestaraquínob ¿qué hay de ustedes?"

"..."

The rest of table was silent, the hawk looked up from what he was doing and looked surprised, the echidna was trying hard not to look confused but obviously failed, while Mina was taken aback as well. Everybody could hear what she said, but she talked so fast and strong, it was not what they were expecting at all. Didn't help that she started talking in a different language at the end.

Mina chimed in after about 5 seconds of silence and introduced herself. She told them her name, her major, and her minor and the stuff that she likes. Which included singing and running mostly.

The black hawk guy, Wyatte, seemed really chill, he spoke in a laid-back but still kind of quiet tone that made it hard to understand him at points. He made it verbally clear that he smokes weed, quite regularly actually. Mina could tolerate other people smoking even though she hates it, as well as drinking and drugs herself.

The purple echidna, Mya-Le, was technically studying abroad since she actually comes from Angel Island, just like most echidnas. She was going to college to play basketball since she was "pretty damn good" as she self appointedly stated. She had a very nice and warming personality from the seems of it but she didn't really go into the specifics of her character as Mina noticed.

After awhile the class started nearing its end, and everyone started to get their stuff together as everyone kept conversating with each other.

Sonic seemed to be in a hurry since he decided to leave a little bit earlier than everyone else. Ms. Meeks and everyone else in the room however, gradually exited out of the room. Mina herself included after she asked the teacher about the grading criteria.

"Well I hope we got that settled Ms. Mongoose!" Ms. Meeks said as she started locking the door to the classroom. "Oh yeah, everything's cool now! And sorry about falling asleep at the start of class…" Mina awkwardly apologized.

"We all have those days ma'am don't worry about it. Besides, it's the first day of class and I can already tell that your a hardworking young woman, also based on your music career…" Ms. Meeks teased.

Ms. Meeks was a little taller than Milla. She was a black woman with big red and queen earrings hoops with a nice fluffy afro to match. She wore a long dark red skirt with a baige top to go with it. She was quite beautiful, maybe not even past the age of 30.

Mina rubbed her hand on the back of her head and shrugged. Her music career so far consisted of a few small amateur performances where everyone in Knothole would come. Everyone knew she had talent, but for the time being she wanted to take a backseat until she learned more about music itself before she even considered singing again.

Judging from the fact that Ms. Meeks still knows of her, she guessed that her public image was still fresh on some people's minds.

"Well anyway, you'll have to excuse me Ms. Mongoose! I have a class to teach in about 5 minutes!" Ms. Meeks hurriedly said as she started walking towards the elevator.

"OK then, guess I see you same time Wednesday then!" Mina said as she started walking away herself. They both waved goodbye to each other as Mina walked down the stairs case out of the building.

Mina didn't have class for another 45 minutes so she was just going to go to the indoor gym her school had for the time being. Her first class didn't seem bad at all to her. Biology was always something that seemed interesting to her since it was learning about how humans and mobian bodies worked, as well as other organisms.

The one thing she didn't like was Math. And by chance, that was her next subject.

'Awesome.' Mina thought sarcastically.

She thought this in her head all the way until she walked out of the stairwell into the outside of the building where blue skies and a nice day awaited.

As well as a certain blue guy.

Mina saw Sonic right outside of the building standing to the right of the stairwell talking on the phone about something. He seemed a little frustrated but Mina couldn't make out what he was saying since he seemed to be deliberately making himself quiet.

Mina was confused on what to do, she didn't know if she wanted to talk to him or to leave him to conversate. It would be rude to interrupt him.

As the conversation progressed, Mina approached, and Sonic seemed even more serious and aggravated than before. Mina figured that something was urgent and decided to not bother Sonic at that moment. She still needed to get past him though, since the path only was open towards where he was.

'Think Mina, Think!' she thought to herself as she had to think of a way to get past him fast.

'Ooooohhhh! That's right, you have superspeed dummy.' She said as she mentally slapped her forehead.

She then sped past Sonic in a glorious purple and yellow flash. Sonic was taken off guard by seeing this. And questioned what had just happened.

Mina decided to run around the city, out of the school district for now. She knew Sonic had superspeed too and just figured that he wouldn't follow her to find out who she was if she went far enough.

Luckily for her he didn't since he was still on the phone with the mysterious character in question.

"What's wrong Sonic?" The character asked as Sonic still looked bewildered.

"U-um its nothing, just saw something that looked familiar." Sonic admitted.

The voice and Sonic continued to talk, but Sonic still wondered who or what that person was.

Mina was still speeding through the giant metropolis, only at car speed at this point. She began to wonder if Sonic saw her or recognized her at all. She was sure they would talk eventually soon but for now she was only focused on getting to the breakfast store halfway across town since she hadn't ate that morning.

As she sped down the long and winding city streets she wondered about Sonic. She never seen him look that frustrated before, unless it was one of the time he was fighting the bad guys, but this was different

She hoped that he was fine as she continued on her small journey.

Looks like Mina just couldn't control her decision making there, lmao. I guess we've all been there but yeah. Next time things are gonna change up a bit from the usual stuff, so stay tuned for next time.

And I swear I won't take another 2 years to do it this time. :/
