At Miss Clavel's school, They all loved their pet dog, Genieve Marie. To the little girls, though, Genieve was more than just a dog; the little girls knew that their dog was perfect.
Riley, Madeline, and the Dog Show
Narrator.. In an old house in Paris that was covered in Vines, Riley said allons-y Genevieve. lived thirteen little girls,
As always, she follows her friends downstairs by sliding on the banister.
(Church bell rining) . in two straights lines They left the house at Half passed nine.. in two straights lines, in rain... and shine. The Oldest one was Riley ands the smallest one was Madeline. whatever the girls wanted to do, their dog wanted to do it too. there was nothing that Genevieve could not do.
One day the girls went to a carnival, where they saw many amazing things. Riley then looked up and gasped.
Genevieve was suddenly on the horse, showing a number of tricks she can do.
Back at the school, she puts on a funny puppet show,
Narrator... everybody love her. all the girls and Miss Clavel.
All the girls and Miss Clavel said "Bravo!"
"Madeline, I believe that Genevieve is the smartest dog in all of Paris!" Miss Clavel said
"Excusez Moi Miss Clavel, but that is not correct." Madeline said
"No?" Miss Clavel said somewhat confused
"No, Genevieve is the smartest dog in all the world!" Madeline said
"Oui oui, Madeline, that is correct." Miss Clavel said
Narrator. as Genevieve walked from door to door with the girls, her many friends would say, Bonjour!
As the lady put water out for her to drink,
the butcher gave her sausages,
and the florist gave her a flower to wear in her hair.
Narrator... one day Genevieve Maire began to bark when she saw a poster near the park a contest would be held to see whitch dog was the finest in Paris.
The 13 girls crowded around the poster.
"A competition to find the finest dog in all of Paris? Genevieve Marie, that is you!" Riley said excitedly
The rest of the girls agreed.
"Without a doubt, why look?" Nicole asked rhetorically
"Her coat is so shiny!" Chloe said
"So is her nose." Danielle said
"Her manners are perfect too." Madeline said
"Mais Oui, it's true, the finest dog in Paris—I mean, in all the world—is Genevieve Marie!" Miss Clavel said
Narrator... in the thirteen little girls adoring eyes, their dog had already won first prize.
"What other dog can juggle?" Madeline says as Genevieve Marie juggles apples.
"And of course it multiplies." Riley said
3 x 3 = 9
4 x 4 = 16
"And sing all at once." Madeline said
"Bravo, Genevieve!" All the girls shouted
Narrator... so the girls groomed Genevieve from head to toe to make sure she would win the best in show.
"You are the best-smelling dog in Paris, n'est-ce pas?" Madeline said
Genevieve sneezed
Bless you. Madeline said as she wiped the droplets of water from her face.
"And braver too!" Riley said as she hugged Madeline.
Narrator... for they recalled Genevieve the brave, who had saved Madeline from a watery grave, but when the time to leave drew near Miss Clavel cried. Oh dear, oh dear, what an awful mess you girls have made here!"
"Pardon moi, Miss Clavel, I know we have made a mess, but it was worth it; look at our Genevieve!" Madeline said
Is she not the perfect dog?" Riley asks
"Oui oui Riley and Madeline, Genevieve is the perfect dog! Now let us make this room as clean as this dog!" Miss Clavel said
The girls got to work cleaning the room as quickly as they could.
Narrator.. in the blink of an eye, the old house was neat and the girls all headed up the street. Dogs of every shape and size come to try for the famous prize but Madeline and Riley did not worry a bit their dog would win both sisters were sure of it.
While waiting in line to enter, the twins also saw their neighbor (who lived next door to Aunt Kathy), Emily, with her mom and a man. Emily was holding a leash that was attached to a white dog.
"Hi Emily, the twins called.
Emily turned around and smiled as she saw her neighbors. "Hi Madeline, Riley This is my dad and our dog, Snowbell.
The father of Emily, whose name was Matthew, came up to the twins and said, You must be Madeline and Riley.
The twins said oui, and then they both curtsied politely.
Matthew said, "My wife and Emily have told me many things about the two of you.
The twins smiled again and said, "We love spending time with Emily.
Emily then turned to her father and said, Dad, it's our turn."
Matthew chuckled and said, Alright, my dear.
"Good luck, girls. Emily told her friends,
" Good luck to you as well. Madeline replied back with a smile.
A few moments later, Madeline and Riley were at the table to enter their dog in the show.
"May I help you, little girl?" A Lady said
"My sister, friends, and I want to enter Genevieve Marie in the competition, s'il te plaît." Riley said
The lady looked over the table, and seeing Genieve Marie, she smiled and said, "Very well, here is your entry number."
"No, no, this will not do!" The man said
The twins gasped as they heard the man yell.
Narrator... Just when Genevieve was about to enter a man stepped forward front and center.
"This dog cannot compete!" The man said
A woman came forward as well and said, No, no, no!"
Miss Clavel said, "What is the reason for this?"
"This dog cannot compete because she has no pedigree!" The woman said
"A mixed breed of any uncertain hesitation, she is not good enough for this show, no, no, and again no!" Our friend Kathy told us so. The man said
The twins looked at each other and said, "You know our Aunt?"
The lady looked at the twins and narrowed her eyes. With a sniff, she nodded.
"That is true; she has no pedigree, but we will go get one. Come, let us go to the pedigree shop!" Madeline said
Impossible Madeline, a pedigree shows that the dog's parents are both the same breed, and Genevieve Marie is a mixture." Miss Clavel said
Narrator... the dog could not enter with pedigree, but Madeline and their friends did not agree.
"We do not need a pedigree to know that Genevieve is the best dog in the world!" Miss Clavel said
"Yes, yes, yes, we love you, Genevieve Marie!" All the girls said
"Exactments moi." Miss Clavel said
"Now all of Paris will never know what a wonderful dog you are." Riley said sadly
Narrator... the girls were feeling sad and blue until Madeline said...
"This won't do; we know that Genevieve is the best doggie, and now we must show the other, Allons-y!" Madeline said
"Maddie, wait up! Riley said as she ran to catch up with her sister.
Girls wait for us. Miss Clavel called as she and the 11 other girls ran to catch up with the twins as well.
Narrator... Because Madeline and Riley showed much emotion, both twine ended up causing quite a commotion.
"What do you mean Genevieve can't enter? She is magnifique; she is sympatric!" Madeline said angrily
"She is pathetic!" The Woman said
"No, madame, you are wrong! My Genevieve is a wonderful friend; she is faithful and truthful. Another thing, Mrs. Hair Woman, she has even saved my twin sister's life, and she deserves the chance to prove to the world that she is the perfect dog!" Riley said
"Hmph, and what makes you say that, you little brat?" The man asked harshly.
I'm glad you asked, Riley said.
Riley
Some dogs bark, and some dogs bite.
But our dog tucks us in at night.
Some dogs howl, and some dogs yelp.
But you can call our dog for help.

She needs no tests. We all know that she is the best.
"I do not care what you said; she is still a mutt, and she doesn't belong in this show!" The woman said
"There's only one person who can decide; we will ask the judge for his opinion." The lady said
The judge then came over.
Narrator... the Judge then held a consultation, checking every regulation.
"No cats, no bunnies, no gray squirrels, no grownups, no boys, and ah, oui, no girls!, and no cows" The judge said
"No girls? Hey, it didn't say no girls allowed? We are twin sisters; we are not leaving our dog with you, sir!" Riley said
"These two girls sure gets a mouth filled with words!" The judge whispered to the other judge
"Yes, but they are little girls, not teenage girls." The second judge said
Narrator... after a lengthy discussion, the Judge concluded that mixed breeds like Genevieve Marie could be included.
The girls, Miss Clavel, and even a few bystanders cheered at the news.
Narrator... so Genevieve took her rightful position in all of Paris dog show competition.
The second judge blew his whistle.
Narrator... as hunters, the dogs looked most attractive.
The first judge said, "Perfect hunting frames, bon a born hunter!"
Narrator... But Genevieve was much less active.
The first judge said, "Aren't you going to point?"
"She doesn't even know what to do. The women muttered. However, she was most shocked.
As Genevieve was back with a picnic lunch.
"Fantastique! A perfect reverent!" The first judge said
"Bravo, Genevieve!" All the girls said
"Riley, did you bring a picnic?" Madeline said
"No, why do you ask Maddie?" Riley said
"Just wondering." Madeline said
"Congratulations, Mon Amie!" Riley said
The other competitors (all except Emily and her parents, who smiled at the twins) huffed, and the dogs growled.
"Riley, is it just me or are the dogs and their owners growling at us?" Madeline said
"Heal!" Judge number one said
Narrator... in obedience, all the dogs did well.
Genevieve pointed down.
The first judge said, "Sit!"
Narrator... But only Genevieve did excel.
"yay! yay! Bravo Genevieve all the girls said
Judge one said, "Magnifique! One hundred percent!"
back on Stage
Judge one said, "Poodle bon, Afghan hound bon, très bien, bull dog très bien!"
After that, it was time for a break.
Miss Clavel said, "Goodness, those other dogs are doing very well.
" Madeline said, Oui, Miss Clavel, but don't worry, they cannot hold a canine to our Genevieve!"
After the break, the show continued
Narrator... in appearance, no one could quite compare with Genevieve and her amazing hair.
Judge One said, "And what breed shall I put down?"
Narrator... she had a talent that is very rara.
Judge one said, Ah, a Poodle! Oh, an Afghan hound? No, a bull dog?"
Madeline said, "It pays to be a mixed breed, doesn't it, petite chien?"
Judge One said, " incredible! One hundred and ten percent!"
Narrator... and when the time came to retrieve, no one did it better then Genevieve.
Judge one said, "Extraordinaire! One hundred twenty percent!"
Narrator... Even in the hardest test, Genevieve was Proclaimed the best.
Judge One said, "One hundred and fifty percent!"
Narrator... her competitors were not impressed, but no one was surprised to know that Genevieve won best of show.
"Bravo Genevieve, très bien!" All the girls said
Emily and her parents rushed over. Congratulations, twins,
" Emily said as she gave her two friends, who were like sisters to her, a big hug.
" Thanks, Emily, and congrats to Snowbell for winning second place. Madeline told her friend.
Narrator... And then the shout came from below.
"No, no, no, it cannot be so!" The man said
Narrator... saying Genevieve had not won best of show.
"No?" All the girls said
"No?" Miss Clavel said
"No?" Judge One said
"No!" The man said
"And why is this so? Mister sore loser?" Riley said angerly
"Because Madames and Monsieur's, this so-called champion, this mutt, this Genevieve, has got a flea!" The man said
"A Flea?" Madeline said
The 13 girls and their teacher looked at their prize-winning dog and gasped when they saw Genieve Marie scratching.
Narrator... the presence of the tiny and insignificant flea made everyone act crazily
Genevieve, I know you do not have a flea." Riley said
Narrator... Thought Genevieve was calm and quiet, she stared scratching again.
As the girls gasped
"Perhaps she got it from one of them!" Miss Clavel said
Narrator.. the rest of the show was thrown into a riot.
" Quelle Horreur! These fleas are everywhere!" A woman said
Narrator.. the crowd went wild with yells and screams worse then Miss Clave, most awful dreams it was hard to believe that a tiny flea could cause so much anxiety.
"Oh my!" Miss Clavel said
"Oh dear!" All eleven girls said
"Oh no!" Riley said
"But how can that be I mean we washed Genevieve before we came?" Madeline said
The dogs ran off to the park's nearby fountain, and they all jumped in.
Man said Nimo! my little Nimo!
Woman said Chare Fu Fu Help!
Narrator.. those well bred doggies could not swim and that is when Genevieve dived right in.
Madeline said, "Genevieve!" and dived in after Genevieve.
"Madeline, and dove in behind her sister." Riley said
"Be careful, Genevieve; be careful, girls!" Miss Clavel said
Narrator.. there were large dogs, small dogs, and bulldog, she saved them all.
"That's our dog!" All the girls said
"Our Genevieve!" Madeline and Riley both said
The judge said, Genevieve, with a score of three hundred points, I pronounce you best of show!"
Narrator.. as Genevieve received the prize, the audience all had teary eyes.
"Vit Genevieve!" The man said,
"Hooray, Genevieve!" The Woman said
Narrator.. And then the mayor did arrive' although she had no pedigree, Genevieve won the key to paris she had saved the Mayor dog you see, the applause continued stronger and louder, and Genevieve was very proud.
"We always knew you were the perfect dog, Genevieve!" Riley said
Narrator.. the whole city seemed to celebrate the victory of a dog so great that the girls could not wait to spread the good news.
The thirteen girls then walked back to the house with their prized pet. Only to be stopped by Mrs. Murphy.
"Girls, I just cleaned the house!" Ms. Murphy said
Narrator.. But first, they had to clean their shoes.
After cleaning their shoes, Miss Clavel took the 13 girls upstairs to get cleaned up. Madeline, however, was the most dirty, so Miss Clavel gave her a quick bath.
"Save me, Genevieve, save me!" Madeline said
As Genevieve splashed Madeline
Chloe said, "I crown you queen of the royal bath!" As she put a plastic toy crown on Genieve's head.
Narrator.. The rest of the evening was strictly fun.
That night at dinner, All the girls said, "We love our bread, we love our butter, but most of all, we love each other."
Narrator.. with special treats for everyone.
"And we also love le gateau au chocolat!" Riley said
So true, sis, Madeline told her sister as she licked her lips after seeing the big chocolate cake.
Narrator.. at bedtime, teeth were brushed just right, and then everybody said goodnight.
"Good night, little girls! I hope you sleep well!" Miss Clavel said
"Good night, good night, dear Miss Clavel!" All the girls said
Narrator.. and Miss Clavel turned off the light.
"Good night, Genevieve!" All the girls said
"Come on, Genevieve, a heroine like you deserves a soft bed." Madeline said
Narrator.. Madeline felt it was only right to switch bed with Genevieve for one night.
"After all, she is the perfect dog!" Madeline said
Narrator.. so Madeline slep soundly on the floor, and that's all there is there isn't anymore.
