Crickets chirped as night had fallen on the small town of Magix and the apartment shared by the Trix sisters was quiet…well almost quiet.
"Stormy! Where's my sleep mask?" Darcy yelled in her younger sister's ear.
"Ugh, did you check the dryer?" she grumbled in annoyance.
"No duh, it's not there."
"Then I don't know, or care." remarked Stormy pulling her blanket over herself.
Darcy gave a scowl as she yanked the blanket off her sister and zapped her. "WAKE UP AND HELP ME FIND IT!"
*CRASH!*
"HEY! YOU TWO KEEP IT DOWN! PEPE IS TRYING TO SLEEP!" Icy roared, kicking the door down.
"Well maybe if SOMEONE would help me, we wouldn't be having this issue." Darcy growled pointing a thumb at Stormy.
"If you're looking for your sleep mask, Pepe has it. He needs his rest after all!" glared Icy, making Darcy cross her arms with a huff. "Now that we have that out of the way, go to bed, shut your eyes, and go. To. SLEEP." she turned and marched out, her sister waving her hand and going to her own bed with a grumble.
"Now I'll need a new one."
"Try not to have any nightmares." mocked Stormy.
Darcy felt her eye twitch as she snapped her fingers causing Stormy's bed to erupt into flames.
"AHHH!"
"Sweet dreams." Darcy mocked back.
Icy rolled her eyes at the sound of the two bickering, closing her door as she went to lay back in her bed and tried to get comfy, while laying beside her on the other pillow was Pepe with the sleep mask over his face, even if it was too big.
*the next morning*
Icy was in the kitchen making pancakes for Pepe who was happily sitting in a highchair. "Here you go, eat up! All for mama's special boy!" she smiled as Pepe flapped his wings happily.
"Mama!" he squeaked.
She felt warmth in her usual cold heart every time he said that. After getting his stack, he started pecking at them, eating the flapjacks while her sisters came in, both looking frazzled and tired.
"I hate you."
"I really hate you."
"Shut up both of you and eat your breakfast." Icy said as they sat down and found only bowls of corn flakes….with no sugar and gluten free milk in front of them. As for Pepe? He had a plate of pancakes, bacon, eggs, oatmeal, and a bowl of fruits consisting of kiwi, peaches, apples, cherries, and lychee nuts. "We've got a big day ahead of us, so I don't wanna hear either of you whining like a pair of babies."
"Uh, Icy? What is this?" Stormy asked, pointing to her bowl.
"Breakfast." she responded, having made herself a stack of waffles.
"Uh, noooo. It's dry ass cereal without anything to make it taste good." remarked Darcy, taking a taste before grimacing. "Did you put expired milk in these?"
"No, I added Gluten free milk. Besides, Brainimaniacs cereal isn't THAT bad." Icy spoke while eating her food.
"...remind us again where you got something with that dumb of a name." remarked Stormy pushing her bowl away.
"Duh. Kroger and Superlo, it's where I get all our foods." she told them.
"And why are we getting the bottom of the barrel while the bird's eating like a king?" questioned Darcy while Pepe got out of his chair to move over and reach the peaches.
"Because my sweet baby deserves the best." Icy told her as Pepe picked up a peach and waddled over to Stormy and held it up.
"...thanks." she said taking it. She bit into it while looking at Icy who went back to her waffles. "You know, sometimes I think you're getting real soft with him."
Icy rolled her eyes before turning Darcy's chair into snow causing her to fall.
"...nevermind, forget I said anything." she groaned.
"That's what I thought." she turned to Stormy with a warning look. "Do you have anything to say about how I treat Pepe?"
"...Nope, nothing at all."
"That's what I thought." she bit into her waffles while Pepe waddled across the table near Stormy with an apple in his arms.
*Later that afternoon*
Icy wore a trench coat, sunglasses, and a sun hat with Pepe on her shoulder looking around. She sat down on a nearby bench right next to Bloom who was reading a book.
"Oh, hey Icy!"
"SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! No one should know I'm here!" she hissed in a whisper while glancing around with a warning tone to it. "Look, are we going to do this or what? I've got other stuff to do."
Bloom gave a small chuckle and looked over to a nearby sandbox where her bunny Keko was. "Keko, your little friend is here!" she called out.
Said rabbit turned and smiled as Pepe hopped off Icy and ran over, both of them getting right to it while playing in the sand while Bloom giggled.
"Aren't they cute?" Bloom asked the witch who tried so hard not let out an awww at the sight before her.
"I only agreed to this because Pepe wouldn't stop bugging me about it. So DON'T go thinking this changes things between us." warned Icy crossing her arms while watching.
"Mama!" Pepe shouted as he ran over with a flower in hand and gave it to Icy.
"...awww Pepe that's so sweet!" Icy cooed…before stopping as she saw Bloom snickering at her. "SHUT IT!"
"Whatever you say…Mama." she giggled.
"Oh you smug little…how about I make a fairycicle?" warned Icy with her free hand glowing blue. "Do NOT push it."
"Ok ok, I kid I kid." Bloom chuckled softly.
*The next day*
Back in the Trix's room, the three of them were in a deep deep sleep, Icy sleeping on her side while having a decent dream, but her hand reached out near her felt like something was…off.
"Hmmmm? Pepe?" she groaned as she opened her eyes and saw Pepe was gone from the pillow, making her eyes widen as she sat up. "Pepe!?...PEPE!" She gasped as she stood up and ran out her room and into Darcy's room where she saw Pepe snuggling next to Darcy's arm. Growling, Icy grabbed her sister by the hair and dragged her into the bathroom where the sounds of drowning and screams were heard as Icy walked back to the room, gently grabbed Pepe and went back to her room.
Stormy walked out of her room with a tired yawn as she entered the bathroom and saw that Darcy's entire head was shoved into the bathtub drain. "...yeah I'm gonna go pee in the kitchen sink." Stormy droned.
(The next night)
Icy was smiling as she slept, content with what the next day would have in store for her, but began to slowly wake up due to the heat being a bit much. Sitting up, she rubbed her eyes and went to adjust the thermostat, and right when she turned back to the bed, she saw Pepe was missing, again.
"Pepe!? Not again!" she exclaimed as she entered Darcy's room, only to find that Pepe was not in there and her sister still had a pipe in her hair, leaving Stormy's room up next. Rushing into her youngest sister's room she saw Pepe was asleep in Stormy's hair. Icy felt her eye twitch as she gently picked up her ducky and placed him on the nightstand. Afterwards she grabbed Stormy by her hair and dragged her into the bathroom where even more screams (as well as the sounds of lightning strikes) and drowning noises could be heard as Icy walked back into the room, picked up Pepe, and carried him back, passing Darcy who was on her way to the bathroom where she saw that Stormy's entire head was shoved into the toilet.
"...Yeah I'm gonna go pee in the kitchen sink. We seriously need more than one bathroom in this place!" she droned.
(The night after that night)
"Ok Pepe, listen closely. You need to stay beside me when we sleep so I can keep you safe, got it?" Icy spoke, wagging her finger at Pepe who happily hugged it.
"Mama!" he quacked, making her smile.
"Good boy!" she got under the covers, turned the lights off, and turned to the duck who got comfy on his pillow. "Night Pepe."
*Two hours later*
Icy gave a yawn as she reached over and tried to pull Pepe closer, only to find that once again, he was missing. Feeling her eye twitch, Icy rushed into Darcy and Stormy's rooms only to find he wasn't in either of them. Growling, Icy quickly flew through the roof and immediately took off west.
*The winx apartment*
Bloom slept happily in her bed….at least until Icy smashed through the ceiling, waking everyone up. "Huh?" she let out, sitting up and caught off guard. "Icy? What're you?..."
*SMASH!*
Icy had slammed a mailbox over a confused Bloom's head and picked up Pepe who was asleep on her pillow. Just as Stella and the others had rushed in, Icy walked by them and pushed them aside.
"Move it Floozies!" she growled as she calmly walked out the apartment building.
"...what just happened?" Techna asked, confused just as much as her friends.
"I have NO idea." Bloom groaned, frazzled at the random mailbox strike.
*Trix Apartment*
Icy walked back into her and her sisters apartment where she placed Pepe on her pillow in her room before marching off and grabbing the hair of both of her sisters, dragged them both into the bathroom. After once again much screaming, yelling, magical zaps and blasting noises, Icy walked out dusting her hands after having shoved Darcy's head in the toilet and Stormy's head in the soap dispenser on the wall,
"...Ya think Mrs Griffin will let us move back in at Cloud Tower?" Stormy asked Darcy.
"I'd think she'd be all for it, as long as she doesn't have us scrub the bathrooms."
Icy made herself comfy, and this time, made sure to attach a rope around her wrist that was attached to Pepe's ankle. 'I better talk to him about stranger danger in the morning.'
*A few days later*
It was Movie night in the Trix household as Icy and her sister were getting to watch their favorite movie. Stupid people getting brutally murdered because they're too dumb to realize they are making dumb descions by being morons 5!
'Alright! Been waiting to see this for ages now!" Darcy exclaimed happily.
"You said it. I thought I was gonna die of boredom from the stuff we've had to watch in the meantime." remarked Stormy while getting the snacks ready.
"Tell me about it. Morons 4 was lame. I still can't believe they made Melissa even dumber than they did in 3!" Icy exclaimed, bringing out a cooler of sodas. "Let's hope this one doesn't suck."
"Mama?" They heard Pepe quack.
"Oh, looks like Pepe wants to watch too." Stormy smiled. Icy gave an uneasy look.
"I don't know. Pepe seems too young for this."
"Aw come on Icy, what's the harm? He's gonna see some messed up stuff around here. Watching a movie is amateur compared." Darcy waved her hand.
"...Fine, but if he so much as sheds a single tear, you're going back in the sink!" Icy growled.
"What is UP with you and that! What? Did you get some weird ass fetish for plumbing or something?" Stormy said as Icy growled.
"You keep talking and you're going in the toaster!"
"Mama!" Pepe let out, trying to climb up onto the couch for a spot, but slid down, only to try again.
"Don't worry, here I'll help you." Icy said as she picked him up and placed him on her lap.
"Ok, start the movie!"
After getting their snacks and spots, they turned the movie on and prepared themselves.
*4 minutes later*
Pepe was hiding inside of Icy's hair from fear as he was getting scared of the movie.
"It'll be alright Pepe. It's not real." spoke Darcy rubbing his back while a loud scream was heard, followed by a sickening crunch. "Oooh."
"Wow, they're going all out on showing bone. Perfect." smirked Stormy, popping some popcorn in her mouth.
"MAMA!" Pepe cried as he started to cry in fear.
Icy reached up and quickly held him to her chest before glaring at Stormy. "Turn it off, now."
"But it's just getting to the good part!" Stormy exclaimed.
"I said now!" Icy growled.
'Yeah yeah fine!" Stormy sighed, she cut the movie off and yawned. "It was getting late anyway so I'm going to bed."
"Same." yawned Darcy getting up while Icy tried to calm Pepe down.
"There there Baby, the scary movie is over now." Icy spoke calmly as Stormy gave a chuckle.
"Look Darc, the big scary leader of the Trix went all soft like ice cream." she chuckled.
"Don't worry Icy, we'll keep the air on so you don't melt." snickered Darcy, making Icy narrow her eyes at them as she stood up while Pepe sniffled in her hold.
"Is that right?" she said simply as she placed Pepe on top of her head and dragged her sisters into the kitchen where, for the final time we promise, the sounds of crashing were heard as Icy calmly walked out snuggling her ducky. "C'mon Pepe, its bath time! I need to wash the stupid off my hands anyway." she said as Darcy and stormy both came waddling out, having their heads shoved into the toaster.
"You just HAD to say something, didn't you?" Darcy growled, kicking Stormy.
"Ah Shut Up!" Stormy snapped.
*Bathroom*
After giving Pepe his bath, Icy was relaxing in the tub having a nice hot bubble bath.
"Ahhh. I need this." she sighed, looking up at the ceiling. "It's been a while since I treated myself. Maybe next I'll make plans to go to the spa for myself."
"Mama Mama!" Pepe quacked as he flapped his wings and landed on the rim of the tub.
"Pepe, what are you doing?" she asked. "You already had a bath, remember? Right now it's mama's turn." she told as he jumped into the tub happily.
"Mommy!" he smiled.
She gave a smile while shaking her head. "Alright, but no splashing too much." she chuckled.
*The next day*
Icy was dressed in a sundress as Pepe was on top of Darcy's head.
"Icy, remind me again why I have to be the one to carry YOUR duck." Darcy asked, rolling her eyes.
"He likes to sit on your head." she replied bluntly.
"Yeah, but you're his 'mama'."
"Yeah, but Pepe wants you to watch him and if my baby is unhappy when I get back from the mall, then I will utterly destroy you both." Icy spoke casually and a little too sweetly. "So make sure he's nice and safe. Shouldn't be too hard for you two." Icy quickly left as Pepe gave a happy quack and flew to Stormy's head and fell asleep.
"Looks like you're his new nest." Darcy chuckled.
"Yuck it up." she frowned before looking up. "She wants us to watch over this thing? Fine, easiest thing ever. He'll probably be napping by the time she gets back."
*30 minutes later*
"Okay, I'm back!" Icy said carrying in numerous bags. She looked, only to see no one was there, making her raise an eyebrow. "Stormy? Darcy? Where are you? How was Pepe?" she called out while walking around the apartment until she saw them in the living room.
"Mama!" Pepe shouted as she saw them resting on the couch as Pepe jumped off Darcy's head.
"Finally!" Darcy threw her hands up as Icy picked the duck up. "He wouldn't leave my head no matter what I did."
"That just means he likes you." Icy spoke as Pepe ran over.
"Mama mama!" he cheered…until he stubbed his toe on Darcy and Stormy's purses. His eyes widened before letting out a painful cry, falling on his rear and holding his webbed foot.
"PEPE!' Icy shouted as she picked him up. "Oh it's okay sweetie it's okay! Mommy's here" she said trying to calm him down.
"Waaaah!" he let out, flapping his wings as a sign of distress as Icy tried to rub his back. While doing so Icy looked down and saw that he stubbed his toe on the purses of her sisters that they left on the floor.
"Stormy? Darcy?" she spoke calmly.
"So did you find out what made him cry?" Darcy asked.
Icy didn't say anything. Just carefully set Pepe in her hair while narrowing her eyes and walked towards her sisters with her hands glowing blue.
"Icy….calm down, it was a mistake, honest!" Stormy said, trying to reason with her as Darcy used her as a shield.
"Wrong answer." she remarked, holding her hands out before her sisters found themselves frozen on the couch with open mouths. She reached up and held Pepe in her hands. "It'll be ok Pepe. Let's get that fixed up and go out for some ice cream."
"...two scoop?" he quacked softly after rubbing his eyes.
"Two scoops." Icy told him as they left the two of them behind.
"...Darcy? Call Cloud Tower and see if they have any vacant rooms." Stormy sighed.
"I'll get on it. After we thaw out."
*Later*
Icy and Pepe were in the park eating ice cream. Pepe was making a mess around his bill while Icy was more clean by comparison.
"Mama!" he qucked happily as he flew up in the air as he pointed to a nearby playground.
"Alright, but only for a few minutes." she caught him and carried him over to the spot before letting him run free, smiling at his innocence. 'Who would have guessed I'd take to the little guy like a real mom. If my past self could see me now, she'd see a whole other person.' she chuckled as unaware to her Pepe started to follow after a butterfly before he even made it to the playground.
The duck was transfixed by the colorful insect, trying to catch it as he made his way into the nearby forest, not too focused on his surroundings. Pepe flew after the bug, only to bump into a tree stump and notice he was now lost. ":...Mama?" he quacked softly.
He noticed how dark and thick the trees were, without Icy anywhere in sight, which was making the little duck start to feel nervous and scared.
Pepe tried to fly the way he came, but he didn't know where that was and was getting scared as he had heard a deep growl and turned around and saw it was a massive Bark lion, a Lion based monster made of wood.
The creature licked its lips while Pepe backed up and looked around frantically.
"Mama?! Mama! MAMA!"
*Icy*
Icy had fallen asleep on the bench and jumped when she felt a chill go down her spine. "Maternal instincts tingling…MY BABY'S IN DANGER!" she booked it through the playground, quickly seeing he wasn't there, and heard a loud roar coming from the nearby forest, making her go right on in.
*Pepe*
The Little Ducky was flying for his life as the bark lion was gunning for him. He was going as fast as possible, tearing up as he was feeling the most scared of his entire life. "Mama! Mama! MAMA!"
"GET AWAY FROM HIM YOU BITCH!" They heard Icy roar as she bodied the Bark Lion with a shoulder tackle.
"Mama!" Pepe cheered happily as Icy blasted the monster and froze it solid before picking up the ice block and throwing it deeper into the forest.
"And stay away from my baby boy!" Icy growled as Pepe hugged her leg.
'Mama!" he smiled as she picked him up,
"Are you ok sweetie?"
He nodded his head while she held him to her face.
"Don't you EVER run off like that again. You could have gotten seriously hurt, or worse!" she scolded.
"Yes mama." he quacked.
"Now we're going back home, and don't go sneaking off to bunk with one of your aunts. I'm keeping a closer eye on you from now on." she told him while placing him on her head.
"Ok mama." he smiled as she flew off back home.
