Chapter Seven: Lena Gets More Info on the Cullens

The next morning Lena woke up to the sound of her alarm going off she cut it off and got out of bed, picked out her outfit, and then headed down to the bathroom. She locked the door behind her and turned the shower on to heat up a little as she stripped out of her pajamas and then stepped into the shower.

She sighed as she felt the warm water rush over her, and then she washed her hair in her favorite strawberry-scented shampoo and conditioner, and then after she rinsed her hair out she used her coconut shower gel on her body and quickly finished her shower after that.

She dried off and put her clothes on and then used the hairdryer to dry her hair before doing it the way that she wanted and then she headed back up to her bedroom to finish getting ready for school. She did a natural makeup look and then all that was left was to brush her teeth but she would do that after she had breakfast so she didn't have to do it twice.

The blonde made her way downstairs once she was finished and into the kitchen, she noticed that Charlie wasn't there so she looked out the window and saw his police cruiser gone so she figured that he left for work already, so Lena made her way to the fridge and made a simple breakfast, with her favorite mango protein smoothie as always.

After she was done with her food and smoothie, Lena made sure to place her dishes into the dishwasher, and then made her way back upstairs to brush her teeth. As she was walking out of the bathroom, Isabella was just getting up and walking out of her room towards the bathroom. Lena ignored her and made her way to her room to grab her keys and what she would need for school.

She grabbed her things and headed back down the stairs and out the door, heading to her car. She was picking Lauren up she had texted her the night before asking if she wanted a ride to school and the other blonde said yes, so Lena was picking her up.

She arrived at the Mallory household and turned her car off and walked up to the door and knocked, a beautiful blonde woman opened the door and smiled at Lena, "hello, you must be Lena, Lauren has spoken very highly of you even only knowing you since yesterday you must have made quite the impression on my daughter, come in Lauren will be down in just a moment."

Lena returned the smile. "Hello Mrs. Mallory, yes you would be correct, and well we are very similar so that is most likely why we get along so well even just having met yesterday."

Lauren's mother smiled at Lena once again, "well that's good to hear." Then Lauren came down the stairs before her mother could say anything else.

"Lena, HI it's good to see you, are we ready to go?"

"Whenever you are Lauren," the blonde nodded at Lena.

"All right, bye mom, I'll see you this afternoon."

"Goodbye, Mrs. Mallory."

"See you girls later, have a good day at school." then the two blondes left the house and got into Lena's car.

"Oh wow, your car is gorgeous Lena."

The Legacy of Aphrodite grinned "isn't she? It was a gift from my father, for basically forcing me to move here with Isabella."

Lauren nodded "so how do you know her?"

Lena scoffed "unfortunately my father married her mother last year, so she's my step-sister, and my dad thought it would be a good bonding experience for us if I came with her, but what he failed to realize is that I've tried to be nice to her and be her friend but she's the one that wants to be a bitch all the time and turn down every nice thing that I try so it's a lost cause pretty much."

Lauren nodded "gotcha she does give me those vibes."

"Yeah, but in her mind, she's the shit, the most important thing to ever exist... to almost everyone else she's delusional."

Lauren laughed "yeah I got that vibe from her too." so the rest of the ride to school for the two blondes was filled with the soft sound of the radio while they made small talk. Once Lena got to the school she parked in the same spot that had parked the previous day.

The two friends made their way towards the school headed to their lockers and then they met Angela outside of the classroom and the three girls made their way to their seats.

While they were waiting for Mr. Greenaway, Lena pulled out the photos that her mom had sent her, "okay so Lauren, Angela look at these two photos and tell me which one you like better because I love them both and cannot decide."

She slid the two photos over so they both could see them. Both girls looked at the two photos and Angela looked at Lena "what is it for?"

The blonde smiled at her "I'm supposed to pick which one that I want to decorate my new bedroom like, but like I can't pick because they're both gorgeous."

Lauren and Angela both nodded at her answer and looked over the photos, "okay so I really like the vibe of the first one, like the grays and natural colors just fit better for your vibe Lena."

"I agree with Lauren though as you said they both look amazing."

Lena smiled at them both "thank you, ladies I appreciate the help."

"Where did you get the designs? They're really well done."

Lena grinned at the brunette "I see you have an eye for interior design as well as photography Angela... but to answer your question my mom designed them, she's an interior designer I sent her pictures of the room on my first day in town and she sent those back to me last night. Said she liked them both and would ultimately let me decide which one I used."

Angela smiled at her "yeah, photography is my main passion but I do enjoy designing things sometimes and that's really cool Lena."

"Ang is right Lena that's awesome." Mr. Greenaway walked into the classroom and started class before the conversation could go any further. Everyone turned to the page that they were told to and listened to the lesson.

The bell rang before they knew it and the three girls walked out of History together and toward their lockers to get what they needed for their next class which was French. Mrs. Adamson welcomed them to class after the bell rang.

(I'm using bold to signify the use of another language because it's easier than having to look up all the translations.)

"Good morning class, how are we this morning?"

"Good morning Mrs. Adamson. Good." The class echoed together.

"Good, now let's open our textbooks to page 269 and read over the chapter and then answer the review questions at the end of the chapter, and if you don't finish by the end of class that will be your homework."

The class did as Mrs. Adamson said and opened their books and read the chapter, Lena had just finished answering the questions when the bell rang. Everyone packed up their things and headed out of the room as Mrs. Adamson dismissed them.

The trio once again made a stop by their lockers and then split off their separate ways since Angela and Lena had English next and Lauren had a different class. English went by rather quickly and nothing important or exciting happened as they continued with the lesson they were learning and their Homework for English was for them to read and then answer questions about the reading.

The two met back up with Lauren after class and the trio headed toward the cafeteria, passing Isabella who was glaring daggers at Lena because Lena was more popular than she was even with it only being their second day there.

They got their food and headed to the table Lena once again sat next to Jessica and smiled at the brunette, who smiled back at her, "Hi."

Lena smiled at her "Hi Jessica."

"So I was hoping that we would get more of a chance to talk today since we didn't yesterday."

Lena nodded at her "I was hoping so too Jessica, so first," she showed her the photos, "I can't decide which way I want to decorate my new bedroom and I've already gotten Lauren and Angela's opinions on it so which do you like better?"

The brunette looked at the two photos. "They're both good but definitely the first one, I like the color scheme better."

Lena nodded "thank you, that's actually the one both Lauren and Angela picked as well."

Jessica grinned at the blonde, "happy to be of service." Lena got a good look at the brunette and saw something in her eyes, it was a look that she had seen in her mother's eyes at times. Kind of guarded and on alert. The blonde Legacy of Aphrodite decided to file that information away for later.

Isabella sat down at the table with Mike and a smirk on her face. While everyone else ignored the plain brunette that just joined them, Lena and Jessica got to know each other a little better and Lena was proven correct that she and Jessica would be friends.

The smirk fell from Isabella's face when she realized that no one but Mike was actually paying attention to her and a scowl took its place seeing Lauren, Angela, and Jessica all talking to Lena and not her. It also didn't help that she hadn't seen Edward Cullen at all that day she had planned to approach him today but he wasn't there so that meant she couldn't put her plan into action.

After lunch was over they had Biology. Walking into the classroom Lena took her seat beside Alice and gave the pixie vampire a smile that was a little friendlier than the day before. "Hi," Alice spoke to the blonde.

"Hi, Alice." The vampire beamed at how much more relaxed the blonde was than the previous day. Lena got straight to the point talking lowly to the vampire so as not to disrupt the class "So I was talking to my mother last night and may have mentioned your last name and she told me that she had met a man with the last name Cullen a few years back, she said his name was Carlisle Cullen and I was just wondering if it was someone that you knew?"

Alice gave the girl a smile, "actually yes, Carlisle is our father or well-adopted father anyway, what's your mom's name and I'll mention to him that she spoke of him to you."

Lena knew that if Carlisle knew her mother that he would know about their status in the supernatural world "Kassia Athanasiou. She said to tell him that she said hello if it turned out to be him."

"I will for sure pass the message onto Carlisle for your mother."

The Legacy of Aphrodite smiled at her "thank you, Alice,"

"Of course" after that, the two girls started paying attention to what Mr. Molina was teaching. Lena would have to tell her mom that it was the same man that she had met whenever it was that they had met.

When Lena made her way to the gym for PE she was handed a uniform from Coach Clapp, "here is your PE uniform." and then she was sent to the locker room to change. She changed her clothes and then made her way back out to the gym.

They were working in pairs doing fitness test activities since that was coming up at the end of the semester and Lena was paired with Rosalie for this, which made her smile at the blonde vampire as they paired up.

Rosalie took in what Alice had told her about her visions of the blonde, and gave her a small smile in return, Alice had told her that they would be good friends because of a vision that she had. They spent the time while they were doing the activities together making small talk and learning more about each other.

After PE Lena had art which went by rather quickly and then she and Lauren headed to her car so that she could drop the other blonde off at her house before heading to the hardware store in town to get some paint and things to decorate her bedroom.

She decided to go with the one that all three of her friends had picked. She dropped Lauren off and bid her goodbye and then went and picked up a few of the small things that she'd need to fix the room up at the local hardware store just as she planned to and then headed back to Charlie's.

She took her school stuff to her room and then came back down and started grabbing her supplies to do her room with. Charlie had just pulled in as she was making her second trip out to her car. "What's going on Yelena?"

She smiled "Oh I just picked up a few things after school for my room, I'm going to start on the decorating over the weekend because I've decided what I want ot do with it."

"Oh that's good, here let me help you carry some of this inside." and so the two of them got everything into the house and placed it where Lena wanted it out of the way for now until she started working on the room.

And then Charlie left the blonde to her own devices where she changed her clothes and then went downstairs and started making dinner for the three of them.
