Act One: The Arrival
Chapter Eight: Room Renovations

It was finally the weekend Lena had finished her first week at Forks High and it hadn't been as bad as she thought it would be. She had made friends and was in with the popular girls by the end of her first day which wasn't really a surprise for her.

Lena had gotten everything she needed to transform the room just how she wanted it to look.

Charlie was at work, and Isabella was in her room obsessing over Edward Cullen, while Lena stood in her newly floored and painted room with a smile. The room looked perfect just like in the photo and that was before she got all the furniture together and in place.

She looked to her right "thanks for doing the floors and painting for me Uncle Wes."

The man ruffled her hair "well you did help but of course kiddo." They may not be blood-related but he did treat her like she was actually his niece, "I was in Seattle for business, so I was close enough to make a detour to help my favorite niece out once I was finished in Seattle."

Lena stuck her tongue out at him, "Uncle Wes, I'm your only niece."

"Exactly it's why you're my favorite." Lena laughed as her phone dinged.

"Okay, so that would be the girls, I'll be right back." She made her way downstairs to let them in, Lauren, Jessica, and Angela were going to be helping her with the furniture and the pictures on the walls and getting her closet fixed.

She opened the door and smiled at her friends "thanks for coming to help me out with this, it won't take nearly as long as it would on my own."

Lauren smiled, "of, course Lena." She led them up to her bedroom. As soon as they walked in Lena heard "So I started putting the futon together while you were downstairs."

Now the four girls stood in Lena's bedroom. "Thanks, now girls, meet my uncle Wes... well he's not biologically my uncle but he's my dad's best friend and the closest thing to an uncle that I have on my dad's side at least... he had some business to take care of in Seattle and made a detour to check up on me and I roped him into helping me do the painting and the floors and the heavy lifting and stuff like that."

Wes finished putting the futon together and stood up, "there's that, Lena, where do you want it?" He nodded at the other girls, "hello, it's nice to meet you three."

Lena told him where she wanted the futon. And the three girls were introduced to the man.

The three girls had seen the reference photo, "all right ladies you've all seen the reference photo that my mother sent over so let's work some magic."

That made Wes laugh as they got work putting Lena's bed frame together, between the five of them it didn't take long to get the bed all put together and where Lena wanted it.

So in all, it took the five of them a few hours to get everything set up exactly the way that the Legacy of Aphrodite wanted it and Jessica and Lauren was more than happy to help her fix her closet, being the fashionistas that they were.

On the wall opposite her bed was a bookshelf that she and Wes had put together kind of acting as a wall and behind the bookshelf was a makeshift closet that the girls really worked their magic on making it look better than just the tiny closet that was there it was turned more into a place for storage than anything with the way they worked it out.

After everything was finished, Lena hugged Wes, "thanks again for the help uncle Wes, it would have taken so much longer without your help."

The man smiled and ruffled her hair again, kissing the girl on the forehead, "of course kiddo, happy that I could help you out." then he left.

Jessica gave Lena a look after he left, "wow, he's kinda hot Lena."

Lena scrunched her nose up and fake gaged "ew Jess, he's basically my uncle."

That made the other two laugh as Lena looked around the room, "wow, we did an awesome job at bringing mom's design to life and she's going to love it when I send her the pictures of everything." she looked at the three of them, "thank you, ladies, so much for the help. We would have been here for so much longer had it just been me and uncle Wes doing all the work."

Jessica smiled at the girl, "happy to help out Lena."

Angela smiled at her as well, "yeah liek Jess said, it was no problem to help a friend out."

"Of course Lena, we're friends we look out for each other."

Jessica was looking at some of the books on the bookshelf and noticed that some of them were written in ancient Greek, "you can read ancient Greek? That's so cool."

Lena looked at her a little surprised she hadn't expected that but she nodded "yeah... I'm half Greek so I can speak and read both ancient and modern Greek. But I didn't know you could that's really awesome."

"Oh my gosh that's so cool, Lena." the brunette said, Lauren and Angela were used to Jess surprising them with stuff like that.

That was when Lena noticed a familiar beaded necklace on the brunette's neck, her mom had one just like it from her summers spent at Camp Half-Blood when she was younger. She had never personally been to the camp just being a Legacy and all but her mom had told her stories of the place. "That's a cool necklace Jess, where did you get it?" Lena was almost positive that she was a demi-goddess.

"Oh, that old thing? It's just from a summer camp that I go to." Lena smirked that right there just confirmed it in her mind that Jess was a Demi-Goddess.

The three girls noticed the smirk on her face before Lena spoke again but this time in Greek, knowing that Jess would understand her, "Who is your parent then? I suspected it when I saw the necklace but wanted to be sure before mentioning it."

Jess looked at her in shock, "how did you know? I haven't seen you at camp before... But my mother is Pheme."

Lena nodded and it made sense being that Jess was the queen of gossip at Forks High, "I've never been to camp, as I'm just a legacy, but my mom's a daughter of Aphrodite, so I've seen her camp necklace which is why I recognized it."

"Okay I gotcha, that's really cool, I've not met a legacy before that I know of or anyone that knows about my world."

Lauren and Angela looked between the two as they conversed in Greek, not really understanding what they were saying. A little while later the girls left and Lena took photos of the room and everything to send to her mom.

As soon as the photos went through and Kassia got the message, Lena's phone rang making her laugh knowing that it was her mom, "Oh my gosh Lena, it looks so good sweetheart."

"Thanks, mom, I really love the way it turned out."

"You really brought my vision for the design to life." Lena smiled at the happy tone in her mom's voice. And she talk to her mom for a while, before they hung up and the blonde went downstairs to make dinner.

I hope you guys enjoy the chapter, I mentioned it at the top but the results were close between Jess' love interest, Sam had 6 votes and the twins had 10 in the end and Pheme won with 11 votes. The next chapter will be getting into Twilight a little more (:
