Kallus sat and listened as the Jedi explained to the rest of them on the ship (minus the younger Kiara) what he'd learned from a senator of this time. One whom he seemed to be close to. While his and Kiara's warning had allowed the Jedi to survive as a whole, it would appear that a large percentage of the Jedi out in the field were still killed or wounded. When he looked over at Kiara, he knew what she was thinking about.

Kiara wished that she was off of her ship so that she could reach out in the force to sense her brother. She wanted to ask about him but knew that no answers would be known until they got to where they were going. Instead, she held her peace while the Jedi filled them in on what he knew. At least their travel time had been cut in half from if they had been heading to Coruscant.

"We'll be meeting with Obi-wan and Master Yoda when we rendezvous with the senator who helped to get your younger self off of Coruscant," Anakin said as he leaned back in the chair that he was sitting in the common room. "Once there, we should be able to get a better feel for how the Jedi have fared. But it is clear that if the two of you hadn't given us a warning, the Order would have been wiped out tonight."

The pair continued to listen as Anakin explained what little he'd learned during the message that he'd gotten from his contact. Ezra was the one to ask about what would happen to the Jedi now that it appeared that the Sith had framed them with an attempted assassination on the chancellor's life.

"The senate at large seems to be in a stalemate regarding what to do about the Jedi and the allegations against us." Anakin took a breath and shook his head. "Senator Amidala, along with Ahsoka, was at the temple when the attack on it went down. That means she will be able to share what she experienced and saw there through a secured message directly to the senate chamber. Another senator who has the most pull is a friend and is in the process of setting it up, now. She has a lot of supporters in the senate who will take what she'll say to heart. And the fact that Organa is the most powerful senator, influence-wise, his support will go a long way."

Anakin ran his hand through his hair in agitation. "But... It seems that people are already digging their heels in on what they think happened regarding Master Windu. The security footage is pretty damning. From what I was told, it fully looked as if he was attacking an unarmed man from the angle the chancellor's box was filmed."

Kallus stroked his beard and offered up a suggestion that he doubted would be a popular one. "Then it would appear that the best course of action regarding that incident would be for the Jedi to step away and distance themselves from it. To make it clear that the master acted alone."

"You think that we should let the case against Master Windu stand? To act as if the allegations are true but deny any knowledge of his intent prior to the incident?" Anakin asked in surprise.

"The only way that the chancellor will be able to move forward with more Jedi executions will be to get the galaxy on his side. Separated from the allegations regarding the man, and of course working to bring sympathy to the Jedi's plight since the unwarranted attack on the temple, the Order might be able to survive. Surely there was footage of the assault on the temple. Add the two, denying culpability as well as the attack on the temple where children were tucked away in their beds just before it occurred, and you stand a chance at being able to sway public opinion toward the Jedi's side." Kallus then added, "But the Jedi will need to act fast since we know that the chancellor will not wait in his slander campaign. He's been planning this for years and he's likely trying to wrap his head around why things haven't gone down as he had foreseen."

Anakin nodded as he thought about what his new friend said. "The Council, those who are still alive, won't like the idea of letting people believe in an untruth about Master Windu."

"Would they rather the entire galaxy be told lies about the Order as a whole? For the survivors to be hunted down to extinction with the senate's, and the public at large's, blessing?" Kallus knew that it wasn't the preferred option in a perfect galaxy but right now, it was the best one that they had at the moment.

The Jedi sighed since he knew that the other man was right. They may have to sacrifice Master Windu's reputation in favor of the survival of the rest of the Order. "Of course not. But it doesn't make it an easy decision. Nor one that I can make alone."

Ezra sympathized with the other man. "Look at it this way. It doesn't have to be forever. Once everything has died down, you can produce evidence to clear the other Master."

Kallus nodded, "Show evidence. Not just by words. Words without evidence should be treated with suspicion or skepticism. Once you have evidence, the galaxy will have to take what happened to the Jedi seriously."

Kiara stared out of the viewscreen as the stars flew by as they raced toward their rendezvous as she did her best to fight past the oppressive force suppression bubble that encased her ship. She could sometimes convince herself that she could finally tell a slight difference in the way things felt when she tried to reach out using the force, but it was still a far from being enough to reach out into the galaxy. It would be many, many more months before she would be able to fight through it to sense the galaxy at large while on her ship.

She wondered how her brother had faired through the order to kill the Jedi this time around. True, he'd survived the first time, but in this timeline, several things have changed thanks to hers and Alexsandr's interference since arriving. She hoped that one of those changes wouldn't involve her brother and his surviving the massacre. With another day before they were scheduled to rendezvous with Anakin's contact, she had no way to put her thoughts at ease.

"I was wondering where you disappeared to," Kallus spoke up from behind Valour after observing her for a few moments. Knowing that he wouldn't have been able to have gone unnoticed without the force suppression bubble around the ship.

"I figured that it would be better if I wasn't around while Ezra and Skywalker are working with younger me. I think that they tend to feel a bit self-conscious when trying to help her with her lessons about the force. But I am glad that they are working on getting her used to someone other than Ezra. She's gotten pretty attached with him being the first person whose ever really listened to or helped her. Skywalker's promised to make sure that she's well-cared for once we get out of here. If we can find a way to get out of here, that is."

"I was talking to Ezra about that, and he thinks that he may have a suggestion," Kallus sat in the navigator's chair beside Kiara as he spoke. "He's going to discuss it with the Jedi, I believe. He said something about the Jedi Temple on Lothal."

"Huh," Kiara thought about what she heard before shaking her head. She didn't know what Ezra had in mind, but it was clear that they needed to find a way to resolve their issue with being out of time soon. Especially as the force suppression bubble slowly began to weaken. "I suppose he's had more time to think about this than we have. But it does beg the question of why he didn't go to the temple while on the planet."

"Apparently, it takes two force users to enter."

Kiara thought back to her time at the temple while excavating it. She had heard that it had been found by two inquisitors. Of course, no one had been able to open the gateway that was found in the temple until Ezra, and Kanan, did. She may have spent nearly a year working at the temple, but Ezra had more practical experience with it. She nodded as she spoke before turning back to gaze out into the starfield of hyperspace. "Interesting."

After several moments, Alexandr spoke up once more, "Hey, you know he's alright. He and his master, not to mention the clones, had a bit of forewarning. Their clones were among the first to have their chips removed."

Kiara sighed since she knew intellectually that he was right. That of all of the Jedi, her brother was among the few who had the best chance since she'd spoken with his master, and Alex had discussed the chips with their commander. Still, until she saw that Caleb was fine, she didn't want to assume anything. "I hope so."

Kallus stood and pulled Kiara up to join him and held her close to him, trying to comfort her through sheer force of will. She rested her cheek to his chest and listened to his heartbeat and allowed it to calm her as she leaned into the hug until she heard him suggest that they should head to bed to get some rest. The next day was bound to be a bit stressful, and they should both be well rested for it. The two retired to his cabin, bracing themselves for the unknown that awaited them the next day.

Ezra sat back on a crate in the cargo hold and watched as General Skywalker told the young girl some stories from when he and his former padawan had been on one mission or another. She'd look over in his direction every so often, but she seemed to be getting quite comfortable with the Jedi already. Of course, it likely helped that the Jedi had already trained another girl who would have just been a little older than young Kiara was now when she'd first been matched with the other man. Ezra wondered where she was now but thought better about asking about her. If General Skywalker wanted him to know, he'll tell him.

He listened to Skywalker windup his story to the girl and then bade her goodnight and suggested that the girl should get some sleep since the next day was bound to be a bit exciting. He then nodded to Ezra as he headed to the room that he was sharing with Rex. Once alone, young Kiara went over to sit on the crate beside of Ezra.

"You seemed to be having fun."

The young girl smiled and nodded. "He's nice. And he said that he joined the Jedi just a little younger than me. So, he wasn't as young as most Jedi are, either, when he first joined."

"Which means that he can help make things go smoother for you."

"Especially for after you leave," Ezra raised a brow at the girl's comment which spurred her to add, "I overheard the rest of you talking earlier."

"I see," Ezra took in a slow breath before releasing it just as slowly as he tried to figure out what he should say. He wondered just how much the girl had overheard. Surely if she had heard everything, she'd not be quite this calm. Instead, she likely heard just enough to know that he planned to leave with his friends on the ship. Not to know why. "Are you going to be okay with everything?"

The young girl tilted her head as she briefly considered the prospect of the one positive constant in her life from the last year from disappearing from her life. "I don't know. Maybe. I think so..."

Ezra reached out to the side of himself to pull her up against him for a hug. "You will be. I'll make sure of it. Now, I believe that Master Skywalker suggested that you get some rest."

Young Kiara grasped the young adult in a tighter hug briefly before she released him and hopped down from the crate to head to the cabin that she'd been assigned while on the ship.

Anakin sat beside Kiara as she piloted her ship into the hanger that they were directed toward of the large cruiser where the Jedi's contacts were waiting for him. He'd specifically asked for the ship to be docked in the same hanger as his wife's personal yacht for a good reason. He knew that the force suppression bubble would be able to surround the adjoining ship. Which he hoped would hide Padmé from the Sith Lord. Especially after learning that he planned to kill her in his vision on Dathomir. If the bubble hadn't been large enough for such a feat, he likely would have tried to convince his wife to move over to the Shadow Chaser. But asking her to remain on her own ship will be an easier battle to when with his stubborn wife. Easier, but he would likely still have to use some persuasion to convince her of both the danger of the situation as well as how remaining in the hanger could provide her with safety.

"Are you sure that you don't want to join me when meeting with what is left of the Council?"

Kiara shook her head. "Knowing that when we leave the ship we create a disturbance in the force, it would be best to stay put. We don't need to give the Sith a beacon to find the Jedi who survived. Nor those who have aided them."

Anakin nodded in understanding. "That actually sounds wise. And you are right. We certainly don't want to make it easier for Palpatine to find us."

The two then stood and headed do the loading ramp where the other men and the young girl waited for them. When the ramp lowered and they could see who was waiting for them outside in the hanger, Anakin heard a quick intake of air in a sound of relief beside him.

"Master Skywalker," Depa Billaba gave a slight smile as she saw the woman at his side take in the sight of the young boy standing next to her. She knew that Kiara would want to know that Caleb was safe as soon as possible which is why she had volunteered to greet the individuals who had disappeared from the Jedi Temple only a day after she had dropped the futuristic pair off. "I am gratified to see that you and our friends have returned safely." Depa then realized that there were two people that she had yet to meet. "Oh, and who do we have here? I am Master Billaba."

Anakin motioned to Ezra first before then indicating to the young girl. "This is Ezra Bridger. He is a Jedi and a companion of our friends. And this is my new padawan, Kiara."

The girl looked up in surprise to hear the master declare her as his apprentice so openly so quickly. When he gave her a smile and nod, she grinned in return and bowed her respect to the other master.

Depa glanced toward the woman who gave a nearly imperceptible affirmation. "I see."

She looked down at her own padawan who stood as patiently as he could, considering that she knew that he'd much rather be having fun with the other young people on the ship. In fact, he'd been practicing his lightsaber training with the clones as well as another teen boy shortly before she'd retrieved Caleb to join her to greet Skywalker and the rest.

Thinking of the other Jedi, she remembered when he first joined the Order and how hard it had been for him. Being so much older than other younglings when first brought to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. And now he was taking on a padawan who is even older than he had been. She always believed that as a young boy, the rest of the Council addressed his training poorly, which had isolated him early on. He should have been given some leeway in certain areas of life since he was already so old by the time he'd joined the Order. She would need to pull Skywalker aside to discuss her thoughts on the matter before she proceeded.

"I'm pleased to meet both of you."

Anakin glanced around as he tried to see if anyone else had come to greet them, though he couldn't ask about his wife, just yet. "Is there anyone else from the Council here?"

"Only about half of them, unfortunately. And they are currently with Senator Amidala. She is giving her statement to the Senate regarding what she'd witnessed during the attack on the Jedi Temple. And of course, Ahsoka is also sharing what she experienced, as well. Both being civilians, we hope that the Senate will take their accounts seriously and consider them before deciding how to proceed regarding the Chancellor's accusations against the entire Order." Depa turned to her padawan and placed a hand on his shoulder before addressing him, "Why don't you show Master Skywalker's padawan around while we discuss a few things. I'm sure you can find a few things that the two of you can do for fun."

Caleb was surprised at the suggestion. "Really?"

"Within reason, really. I'll come and find you when we've finished discussing all that we need to, later."

"Thanks, Master!" Caleb reached out to grab the hand of the younger girl and started to pull her along with him as he headed toward the hanger entrance. Young Kiara looked both to Skywalker as well as Ezra before following in behind the boy once they each gave a nod of approval.

Once the children were gone, Depa turned to Anakin and chuckled. "Those two will be trouble once they learn that they are siblings."

Kiara tilted her head. "You plan to tell them?"

"That is one thing that I figured Skywalker and I should discuss, but I believe that it would be beneficial for the girl." Depa turned to the other man in question before asking, "Do you not feel that it would have benefited you to have someone like this, when you first joined the order?"

Anakin couldn't help think of all of the times that he felt as if he was alone while growing up in the Jedi Temple. Always set apart thanks to the fact that the other kids his age had been raised together from before they could even remember. "Now that you mention it. And the Order has made exceptions for siblings, before."
