And we back. Good to be writing this story again. I honestly miss it.

Chapter 7-

Bella's POV-

Seeing Ash leave was concerning. I had to wait all day for us to get out of school before Edward finally told me what was up. Turns out when she had seen the Cullens she felt disgusted.

Disgusted.

It never seemed to cross my mind that the Cullen's could be thought of as such. People usually envied them, vied for their attention, and were attracted to their unattainability. To outright think they were repulsive was beyond my comprehension.

"Will she be a problem?" Rosalie asked in her usual icy tone.

Alic shook her head at the same time Edward said "It's more likely she'll just avoid us. She has no intention whatsoever of being near us."

Emmet huffed a laugh. "That's a first." I could tell by his ever-present smirk the situation was amusing to him. I would have found it funny if it didn't bother me so much. She bothered me.

Carlisle, who had been listening, decided on a course of action. "Monitor her and if the situation escalates tell me otherwise, we can just assume she's just different."

Different… That surely was the word for her.

No ones POV-

Ash had decided to go to school the next day. Like before her mother's laid out an outfit and cooked a good breakfast but instead of accepting her father's offer to drive her, she took her own car. It was the same model as her fathers but in black. Her mothers had wanted her to get a smaller car like theirs which were old school classics, but she enjoyed how big her truck was. How intimidating it could be.

As soon as she stepped out there were those eyes again. And like before she ignored them but specifically ignored those penetrating stares of the Cullens. She didn't think about them having already dropped them from her mind. They were nothing to her, so they had no place in her thoughts.

Her last class before lunch a certain smitten boy was there waiting for her. "Hey." Tyler greeted her with a warm smile.

"Hey." Ash said back.

"Where you off to?"

Ash shrugged. "I don't know yet. Maybe outside again. It gets so stuffy inside these buildings all day."

"Mind if I join you?" Tyler asked hopefully. He had been wanting to spend more time with her since the first day and seeing her not show up the next day only made him want to see her more.

"No." Ash and Tyler began walking with Tyler not remembering exactly where they were last time but Ash finding the spot almost immediately. She sat down, leaned back against the tree and closed her eyes, taking a moment of peace for herself. Tyer sat down next to her silent as can, so he didn't ruin her moment.

It was weird for the jock to enjoy the moment of peace. He had always been so much more comfortable when there was a game to be played, a joke to be made or a good time to be had. He was one of the many suns that shined bright in this dreary town. A mood lifter and nice to everybody.

So how could he not realise that there were moments when he didn't have to be the sun for somebody. He didn't have to fill the silence with an inappropriate joke. That he could be comfortable enjoying something that went against what he was.

Time passed so quickly that it only seemed like Ash just closed her eyes even though he knew a few minutes had passed. He was entrapped by her eyes, the darkest brown he had ever seen that he knew if the light hit them just right that they would suck him in.

"What?" She asked as he stared at her.

"You're so beautiful." He answered without thinking. Normally he would get embarrassed or play it off as a joke but right now he was the most serious he had ever been. She was beautiful, inside and out. She was confident, unpredictable, unique… There were so many words for her but the one that summed all of her up was beautiful.

Ash didn't know what to say. Sure, she had been cat-called beautiful by creeps. Her parents would say it or a variation of it often to her. But the way Tyler looked at her, the way she felt like he really was trying to see her made her feel like he really meant it.

An overwhelming number of feelings were bubbling around in her heart. She had never felt like this before and so the only thing she could think of to get rid of the feeling was to ground herself in a tight hug with Tyler. That didn't help but oddly enough she didn't want to pull away. He was warm, he felt like the sun. He was shining on her and it felt good.

"I'm gonna mess this up." Ash's voice was muffled by Tyler's shirt, but he heard her well enough.

"How?"

"I just will and yet I'm selfish enough to not want this to be over until I do."

Tyler didn't really know what to say. He didn't know her well enough for his words to reassure her so instead he settled for hugging her tighter and burying his head in her neck. Vanilla and smoke. So unlike the girls who preferred fruity or floral scents but hers was a sweet burn that was addictive.

"Come over this weekend." Ash told him suddenly.

He pulled back to see her face as serious as usual. "What?"

"Come over to my house this weekend." She reiterated.

Tyler was confused. She was so unpredictable sometimes. He felt like it was too soon or maybe not soon enough. His friendships had always been fast, aren't most friendships. So with that logic he found himself saying yes.

Ash gave him her address before getting up just in time for the bell to ring.

"What just happened?" He asked himself.

A bit fluffy but oh well.
