Okay! Small timeskip to the entrance exams. Nothing except training happened.
Oh, and a few bits on fixing Snipe a pickup, but that's mainly for closing last chapter.
Let's go!

Izuka sat in a large lecture hall within UA.
She had flown through the written exam. It was mostly theoretical questions, and Izuka was all about having her own opinion.
Many of the questions were about choosing between hostages, and catching a villain. Izuka answered hostages most of the time, only choosing to save one hostage in immediate danger of being killed, and allowing the villain to keep hold of eight hostages.
So here she sat, waiting for the last hour and a half of written exam time to tick by.
Snipe was waiting in the room as well, sitting beside Present Mic.
"That's the girl who helped me with the pickup." Snipe pointed out. "She's definitely got the spirit."
"She helped you repair that frame? Damn, she's probably got a good brain in that noggin of hers."
"Don't I know it? She even fixed my old rifle! You know the item I used when Nagant was still in business?"
"No way…"
"I helped her with her support item registration because of that. She's got some pretty cool items!"
Mic blinked. "You think I could get her to help fix some of my old boomboxes?"
Izuka called down from her seat.
"Give me your number and I'll schedule a date and time with you man. Just please don't spread the word about my hobbies. I'll be investing time into classes and I don't want to become some glorified repair lady."
Mic grinned and gave a thumbs up. "Right on kid! Wanna come down here to talk? We still have a bit of time before the practical!"
Izuka nodded and left her carry-ins at her seat. "It's okay if I leave those there, right?"
The two heroes nodded.
"I gotta say listener, you're pretty calm right now."
Izuka smiled. "I find that it is better to appear calm on the outside. On the inside, I'm totally fangirling."
Snipe chuckled while Mic gave a thumbs up. "Feel free to be yourself for the next few minutes little listener."
Izuka nodded, before procuring a notebook from nowhere. "Can I ask you a few questions about your quirk? How great of a recoil does it have on your vocal chords? Do you have larger lugs to take in more air, or is your voicebox shaped differently than other individuals? Is Eraserhead the dom in your-"
"Woah woah woah, okay, slow down." The hero chuckled, blushing a bit. "You need a breath there little lady! As for my quirk, I can't use it for long without my support gear here on my neck. It's not a big secret or anything. Thing is, after a bout with laryngitis, my quirk caused my vocal chords to get super inflamed when I used it. The support gear helps me keep my vocal cords stable."
Izuka nodded as she scribbled her notes down. "Okay, so does that mean your quirk has to do specifically with your vocal cords?"
The hero shrugged. "Not specifically. My voice box does help me regulate the output, but it's mainly my diaphragm that does all the work."
Izuka nodded. "So, do you know why Eraserheads quirk cancels out your own quirk?"
The hero blinked. "Well I just assumed it was because it was an emitter…"
Izuka blinked back. "Well, with what you're describing, it seems more like a mutation that allows you to emit sound waves. Is there some other factor that you don't know about?"
The man shook his head. "Not that I'm aware… explain what it could be?"
"Well, my nephew has a quirk that makes him sweat nitroglycerin. He can ignite it to create explosions with sparks that come from his hands. If Eraserhead used his quirk on my nephew, his sweat wouldn't change, but he wouldn't be able to produce the sparks to ignite it. Maybe Eraserheads quirk prevents your body from taking a deep enough breath, or from forming your windpipe into the proper shape to increase your volume."
The hero nodded. "I get what you're saying… is there any way that I could change his effect then?"
Izuka shrugged. "Try to figure out what exactly his quirk shuts off. Who knows? Maybe in looking into your quirk a bit more, you can figure out how to lessen your laryngitis recoil."
The hero grinned. "Hey! Thanks little listener! I'll keep that in mind! Looks like a couple of others are getting here. Wanna get started?"
Izuka nodded and returned to her seat, using her spare time to check over her gear.
Finally, Present Mic stood up and began running through the exam rules. Izuka paid as much attention as she thought was necessary, as she tuned and adjusted her gear.
As Mic gave a "PLUS ULTRA!" The students began filing out of the lecture hall.
Izuka grabbed her gear and boarded her bus to her exam site, pulling on her outfit as the vehicle drew closer.
Many other examinees had support gear on, but even their heads turned when Izuka stepped off of the bus.
The young woman had put quite a bit of effort into her outfit. If she was going to take the test, she was going to start with her appearance, and having her own suit already made was a big point winner in her book.

"So, who do you all have your eyes on, before we begin of course." Principal Nezu smiled.
"We certainly have a few individuals that stand out. Look at that boy there, his arms are huge!" Midnight blinked.
"I'm looking for kids who are analytical…" Aizawa stated. "Like these kids. They're running over the robot types a second time, already stretching and getting ready."
"Always going for dedication aren't you." Ectoplasm stated.
"I think there are a few good one's here. But I'm focused on one examinee in particular." Snipe nodded.
"As am I." Recovery girl stated. "They seem to have a good head on their shoulders every time we talk."
Snipe leaned forward. "And there she is. Dang, she said she made a suit, and I helped her with her device applications… but I didn't think she'd look this badass."
Nezu looked at the screen that displayed Izuka. "Ah, that's her then."
"The quirkless student?" Aizawa opened an eye. "She definitely looks serious about this."
"That outfit is brilliant. So well designed… it accentuates all the right places." Midnights eyes shone. "Definitely going to be a favorite in the management and advertising department."
"Those gadgets could net her a solid spot in support as well… Snipe, Chiyo, you said you were watching her, what do you know?" Power Loader asked.
"I'll go first." Chiyo nodded. "She was sent by Yagi after the sludge attack in the Musutafu central shopping mall. Her hand was in pretty bad shape after she used an experimental item she had been working on to weaken the villain. She mainly works on quirk engineering."
Nezu's eyes sparkled. "Does she really?"
Chiyo nodded. "Yes. The gadget she used was made with her nephew's DNA. She utilized it to completely obliterate a dead body that the sludge villain was puppeteering. Although the tests I ran on her afterwards were very illuminating."
"So those were the X-rays you showed me." Nezu nodded. "Her bones were very dense. The adaptability of her body that you theorized was very interesting as well."
Snipe nodded. "She was the one to clean up Takobah Municipal Beach Park. She also helped me rebuild my old pickup. Earlier she gave some incredible analysis on Mic's quirk."
Nezu nodded. "Interesting. Let's see how she does."

Izuka stretched her arms and legs, feeling the quirk proofed fabric of her suit move against her skin. The slim tactical vest felt stiff around her body as she leaned over for some toe touches.
The young woman flexed her toes and tapped the tips of her boots against the ground. With a nod, she opened the suitcase she had carried in and withdrew two items.
The first was a series of rods, connected by a wire. The young woman clipped them onto a metal loop on her hip. The second was a large metal rectangle. The young woman nodded and mounted it on her back
"Hopefully I won't have to use this." She muttered, taking out a small steel box with a shoulder strap, and slinging it over her shoulder, before clipping the box to another loop on her opposite hip.
With a few more arm stretches, Izuka took her place at the gate, waiting for the exam to start.
A tuft of blonde hair poked up over the large wall.
"STAAAART! THERE ARE NO COUNTDOWNS IN BATTLE LITTLE LISTENERS!"
Izuka took off running. Many of the examinees with speed enhancement quirks blitzed ahead. Izuka noded and made her way into the test site, a large area made up of pipes and water towers.
The young woman leapt up onto a steel ladder and began pulling herself up to the top of a tower in order to scout the area.
The first thing she noticed was that most other examinees were heading for the center of the exam site. Izuka mapped out a quick route to the most points in her head, before leaping into a section of the exam site's outer limits.
As she touched down, Izuka was immediately approached by a few one pointers.
'These things will most likely be grouped up more than the two or three pointers, based on their value.'
The young woman ducked under a net that was thrown out of one robot's cannon. She quickly ran over to another robot and pulled it around to face the other two, before covering up its sensor and causing it to fire a net of its own.
The weights on the net wrapped around the two robots' heads. As they went to move, they pulled each other apart.
Izuka quickly tore the last robots head off, noting how fragile it was.
'Possibly because of it's point value… the more fragile bots are worth less. I might be able to use that to my advantage…'
Izuka looked at the head of the robot that she held in her hands, before a grin came over her face.
'Of course, I could always use more than the teachers had hoped for.'
Izuka tore a leg from one of the destroyed one pointers and began running as she fiddled with it. Eventually, she found another trio of one pointers. She pointed the large contraption she made at them, and hit a button. The robots stopped, before turning on each other and attacking.
Izuka cackled, before continuing to use the makeshift robot remote to rack up thirty more points. Finally she spotted the bots she had been curious about.
A three pointer sat in the back of a dead end, along with two two pointers.
Before she had the chance to use her gadget, it was destroyed by a rocket. Izuka blinked.
'That's a little deadly…'
The young woman didn't have time to think, however, before the three bots moved to attack her.
Izuka rolled under a volley of rubber bullets. Ducking behind a series of owned pipes, the young woman unclipped the metal rods from her hip.
With a shake, the rods snapped into place, becoming a metal staff.
'Let's hope that the quirk factor I integrated into it works.'
Izuka rolled out from behind the series of pipes and threw the staff as if it were a spear. The projectile seemed to magnet itself upwards into the camera of the three pointer.
)=(
"Was that…"
"Your quirk Snipe. Looks like she made it with this scenario in mind." Nezu nodded.
"I wonder how it uses his quirk like that…" Ectoplasm pondered. "It's almost as if she's taking our unique abilities as her own."
"That's because she is, although I would enjoy having better healing equipment." Chiyo nodded.
)=(
Izuka leapt up and pulled the metal staff from the downed three pointer, before spinning it in her hand and dismantling the two pointers.
"Easier than I though." She breathed, before a rumble shook the area.
)=(
"Nezu, did you release the zero pointer in ground eight?"
"No… looks like it went off due to a short in the exam sensors. Well, at least we'll get to see a bit more out of the site than the rest of them."
)=(
Izuka quickly scaled another ladder to look over the site.
A massive robot towered over the center of ground eight. Izuka could hear a few screams and shouts as examinees did their best to get away from it.
Izuka's breath quickened as a volley of rockets was fired from the robot, causing a series of explosions to cover the center of the practical site.
She quickly began running towards the robot, using her staff to vault over pipes and metal beams. As she made it to the center of the site, she could see the total destruction caused by the robot.
Fires blazed as examinees ran from the area. A few tried to help others that had been caught in falling rubble. Izuka heard a cry from beneath her.
"Someone please! Help! I know my quirk isn't heroic but please! I don't want to die!"
"Please All Might! Please, Save Momma!"
Izuka grit her teeth and leapt down to the boy who was crying for help.
"Hey, I'm here to help. What's your current status?"
"Oh thank god. My arm was crushed by the pipe. I lost all feeling in it when it fell. My legs are stuck. I can't get myself out one handed."
Izuka nodded. "Give me two seconds."
The girl grabbed a piece of a robot from the ground and used it as a fulcrum to lift the pipe up with her staff.
"Can you scoot out of there?"
The boy quickly crawled out from under the debris and was helped to his feet. "Thanks for the help. You can call me Mustard."
"Mustard?"
"My quirk lets me create mustard gas. It's not very heroic, I know…"
"No No!" Izuka shook her head. "That's an incredible quirk! You could use it to knock enemies out, sort of like Midnight does. It would require control, but you could definitely do it!"
The boy smiled. "Thank you. Now, should we be running away?"
Izuka looked up at the towering robot which was continuing to wreak havoc.
"Actually… would you be willing to help me stop this thing?"
The boy raised an eyebrow. "What are you thinking?"
Izuka pulled her second item from her back. "I perfected this about a week back. I think it's strong enough to take that thing down, but I need thirty seconds to set up."
"So you need a distraction…"
"Think your gas could throw off it's sensors?"
The boy nodded. "Definitely. I've just… never generated any that far out."
Izuka nodded. "I believe in you. Make sure you're a decent distance away when I use this thing."
"Got it."
The boy fished a broken gas mask from the pipe he was trapped under. "Well… it won't protect my eyes, but it'll keep me breathing for enough time to do this."
'I've been wanting to test this move for a while… Concentrate and pressurize my quirk in my palms… then, RELEASE!'
Mustard took off, two jets of gas streaming from his palms. As he reached the highest point in his trajectory, he let his quirk run rampant.
Gas poured off of the boys body, and a massive cloud of yellow blocked out the top half of the zero pointer. The robot stopped rolling forward as it's sensors kept it from running into opaque and 'solid' looking objects.
The boy fell out of the cloud and landed atop a water tank, before dropping next to Izuka, who folded out the metal block into a large rifle.
"They let you bring a gun into the test?"
"It's a special model. This one's a bit deadlier than most, but I'll be modifying it at some point to shoot tranquilizers. Oh yeah, you may want to cover your ears."
"What?"
"The katsuki rifle can be a bit loud, just like the kid it's named after. Brace yourself."
Izuka heaved the rifle upward and pointed it into the cloud of gas. "This is going to be a big boom. Your quirk is gonna make it bigger. Here it goes! FLAK SHOT!"
A black ball was launched skyward, before the area was covered by a massive detonation.
As the light died down, examinees began to look around, their ears ringing. Izuka hobbled out of the center area, rifle tucked beneath one arm as mustard helped her walk.
"Oi, if we both get in, promise you'll never do that again." The boy snapped.
"Can't promise you anything." Izuka chuckled as a horn blared.
The exam was over.
)=(
"Nezu. I've made my decision." Aizawa stated, looking at the camera.
"And?" The principal grinned.
"Izuka Midoriya is not fit for my class."
"What? But you just saw-"
"Let me finish." Aizawa nodded. "I teach quirks. I think that we should have her as a specialized hero student. When I do quirk training, let her use Power Loaders lab, or do some type of analysis study."
Nezu nodded. "Even if you said you didn't want her in the school, I was still going to put her in your class. I can't let Shiketsu get their hands on that one."
Aizawa chuckled. "I'll see you all in two months. I gotta catch up on some sleep before dealing with the new batch of headaches."
)=(
So there it is! Chapter ten.
A bit different from the norm. I like having her first sort of 'hero friend' be Mustard. It'll be fun to write him before his turn to villainy.
Anyways, hope you enjoyed!
Sushui Out!
