Alrighty! Chapter Eighteen, here we go!
Back to the rescue exercises, hope you aren't bored!
Let's go!

Izuka stepped into ground alpha, adjusting her costume's sleeve slightly.
'This exercise is built around a normal natural disaster scenario. There are villain bots that take advantage of the chaos caused by the earthquake. As other civilians get injured, a hero is forced to choose how to delegate their own effort.'
Izuka quickly scaled a crumbling building and took a look over the partially collapsed town.
'Ground Alpha is modeled after a coastal town… Cementoss is focusing the barrage pretty heavily on the inner area, meaning most students will be unaware of the danger imposed by an approaching tsunami.'
Izuka quickly ran to the first student she found.
"We need to get some of our numbers over to the coast." Izuka said. "If the scenario is earthquakes then there's bound to be a tsunami."
The student nodded. "I have a speed quirk. I'll go and alert anyone with the capabilities to make flood barriers."
"Thank you. I'll go and get started."
Izuka ran to the coastal side of the town. As soon as she got past the line of buildings she began using everything she could to build small walls.
After a few minutes, a band of students appeared and began using their quirks to help her. They used their quirks to make the work go incredibly quickly, making additional trenches that would catch the water.
"Well done guys. Thank you!" Izuka smiled.
"Of course! Some of us will stay behind to watch the wall. The rest of you! Go help in the rest of the site!"
"Right!"
Izuka thanked the student who had taken command of the wall, before dashing away.
The young woman made her way in and out of several buildings, moving some civilian bots to a safer place.
An announcement was broadcast across the site.
-One hour remains. A group of villains has taken the opportunity to attempt to raid the crumbling city, and will take hostages.
Izuka rolled her eyes, before slinging her rifle off of her back. As she unfolded it, she moved up to the top of a larger building that remained untouched.
There were three areas where the robots were coming from. Izuka aimed the sniper at a building close to one of their gates and fired, causing rubble to block it.
The young woman folded the sniper back up as she leapt back down into the streets.
A rumble caused her to stumble, but she maintained her footing and moved faster, in order to stop the villain bots and save any civilians she came across.
As she made it three blocks away from the edge, she encountered her first bot. The red lens upon its head flashed, before a spray of rubber bullets flew towards her.
'Faster than the exam… I'll have to be careful.'
Izuka unfolded her staff and focused on the robots lens, before throwing the metal pole straight through it.
The young woman ran forward and pulled the staff from the downed bot as a couple more arrived.
One turned to face her as the other dug into a building and retrieved a civilian bot.
Izuka ran forward and slid under the first spry of rubber bullets. As she got within range, she took out the machine gun mounted upon the robots back, before kicking it's legs out from beneath it and stabbing it through the head.
Izuka quickly leapt at the second bot and dismantled it, before carrying the civilian bot to safety.
With one bot down, she turned her attention on three incoming villain bots.
One launched a net while another fired a spray of rubber bullets. The third stabilized itself, before firing a rocket at her.
Izuka spun out of the way of the bullets, catching the net as she did so. With a grunt, she tossed the net at the incoming rocket, causing it to detonate and cover the net in a sticky type of capture gel.
The net fell onto the machine gun robot, causing it to get gummed up and shut down. Izuka threw her staff at the rocket robot, before running at the net bot.
The staff tore through the rocket bot as Izuka flipped over the net bot and stomped it into the ground.
The young woman rolled her eyes as the phone in her suits device pocket rang. Izuka tapped her chest, causing the phone line to be transferred to an earpiece, which she took off of her hip and put on.
"You've reached Izuka."
"Hey Auntie! It's Katsuki!"
"Brat! I'm in class!"
"I know I know. Thing is, me and the others ran into this really strong villain today. Shitty Hair and Pinky stalled it while I took it down."
"You are not supposed to be fighting Villains young man. What would your mother say?" Izuka grunted as she ran towards another robot and quickly demolished it.
"Well, considering it was either fight, or be killed, I decided we'd choose option one."
"KATSUKI! You fought a murderer?"
"Well, the hero holding him back was really worn out from protecting us. We got permission, I just though I should let you know Shitty Hair and I discovered something new!"
Izuka rolled her eyes as she pulled her staff from another downed bot.
"Hey, what's that crunching noise in the background?"
"Killer robots. What did you learn?"
"Killer robots? You get to fight at UA?" Katsuki spoke.
"Yes, combat is a part of hero work. This is a natural disaster simulation. Villain bots are using an earthquake as an opportunity to take over."
"Sweet… I can't wait to do that exercise."
"If you don't focus on finishing up this call, you might not live to make it into this school." Izuka growled, ripping a leg off of a downed bot and tossing it into another.
"Okay Auntie, sheesh! Well, Shitty Hair's quirk enhances his strength along with his durability. But did you know it also increases his density?"
Izuka blinked. "Interesting. So when he hardens, he pushes his body to become more dense, compacting itself into a substance that's incredibly durable."
"Yeah, Kraken charged him and he caught the dude without even budging!"
"You mean he got in front of a dangerous villain, who was charging at you guys?"
"Yup! He caught the dude and stopped him enough for Pinky to disintegrate some of the villains shell."
"Okay. So what about you?"
"Oh yeah! I figured out one of my super moves! Although… It hits pretty hard."
"What's the function of it?" Izuka wondered aloud as she moved three civilian bots at once.
"So, By using my explosions, I can propel myself like a bullet. I release a huge explosion at the end of my flight! I also spin myself to increase accuracy."
"Doesn't the shock damage your muscles?"
"Well… yeah. I'm soaking in the bathtub right now because I pretty much liquified the muscles in my arms… but if I design my suit to withstand the shock, I could fly for longer periods of time!"
"You're calling me from the bathtub? KATSUKI BAKUGO THAT Is EXTREMELY INAPPROPRIATE!"
"Auntieeeee. I just wanted to tell you about the attack…"
"I know, I know." Izuka sighed, putting away her staff and unfolding her rifle. "I've got to mute myself for a sec, hold on."
The student fired her rifle at an approaching army of fifteen bots, wiping them out.
"Alright, I'm back. What d you call this move?"
"Well, I based it off of your explosion rifle… so I call it Howitzer Impact!"
"A great name. Make sure only to use it in a do or die situation."
"Of course auntie. You know I'm careful with these things."
"I've got to finish up this exercise and meet up with Mustard in a bit. We're making a suit for this first year with a fire quirk! Him and I will be home in time for dinner, and I'lll tell you about what I pulled off today!"
"Alright Kaka, just don't get caught on the guys crotch on the way here."
"KATSUKI BAKUGO!"
*Beep*
"He hung up on me…" Izuka chuckled, shaking her head. She quickly put a hand over her heart and measured her heart rate.
"A hundred and twelve beats per minute. Not enough. Gotta keep going."
A student pushed through a gang of robots and met up with her. "Hey! I've got the bots on this side, wanna help me cut the rest off?"
"Sure thing! What's your quirk?"
"It's called deep pulse. I can send out pulses of energy from my palms. They sound, kinda like a whale."
Izuka nodded. "We'll need to damage the gate their coming from to stop them entirely. Your quirk will be perfect for that."
The student nodded. "Gotcha. Now, you wanna pick off any that get past me?"
Izuka shook her head. "Conserve your energy for the final attack, I'll carve us a path."
The young woman ran ahead, blocking physical strikes from a few robots and using the opportunity to twist the delicate electronic heads apart.
"Let's keep moving!"
The duo mowed through the many robots, eventually coming to be surrounded by around fifty bots.
"They cornered us…" Izuka panted, a bead of sweat rolling down her face.
'My heartbeat is where I need it to be. I can probably use the open palm attacks…"
Izuka steeled herself and ran forward, putting all of her energy into her next attacks.
A swift punch crushed three bots, while another destroyed two more.
'Fifty five seconds until my body burns out…'
"You need to go and deliver the final strike when I say!" Izuka shouted.
"Right!"
Izuka broke through the legions of bots, getting closer to the gate they spilled out from.
'Thirty seconds. One final push…'
"Style of the open palm, Wave Ignition!"
Izuka smashed into two robots, sending them flying into the crowd of other bots. The two bots that Izuka had hit exploded, setting off a chain reaction and demolishing the line of bots standing in front of the gate.
"GO NOW!"
"Right!"
The student lunged forward and delivered a blast of his quirk. The energy wave from his palms tore through every robot surrounding them, before causing the gate to slam shut.
"Well done…" Izuka sighed, taking deep breaths and allowing her pulse to return to normal.
'I didn't overdo it… I still have energy to walk instead of burning out my muscles…'
Izuka sighed as her heart rate slowed. With a final announcement, the exercise was over.
"Well done all of you." Aizawa nodded. "Even with Cementoss causing damage further inland, you realized that there was the threat of a tsunami and dealt with it properly."
The teacher nodded as Cementoss walked into the observation room. "You even did well with each earthquake I made."
Izuka smiled as Aizawa slipped her a fruit packet. 'Thank everything for this tired man right now.'
Izuka began munching slowly to replenish her energy as both heroes went over more notes.
"These two exercises have been working on the same main skill, rescue. But to each of you who were able to multitask, figure out the other objectives in the first exercise, and successfully communicate with your classmates to deal with the entirety of the second exercise, you are already on the fast track to earning your licenses." Aizawa nodded.
Cementoss hit a button on a remote, causing a list of numbers and classes to be displayed.
"On the left, you'll see the display of classes. On the right, you'll see the number of civilians saved, villains defeated, and students defeated by bots. Then, there's also the combined score. As you can see, you are currently at the bottom compared to the other classes, but your scores are pretty close to your upperclassmen." Cementoss nodded.
"You did well." Aizawa blinked sleepily. "Now, we're at time for today, so get out of here. I'll see you all tomorrow, except you Midoriya…"
"Yes sir. I'll see if I can figure out your request by tomorrow night."
"Thank you. I'll probably be in the teachers lounge…"
"Of course sir. Now, I have to go meet a friend about a uniform."
"Of course. I'll see you at tomorrows scrimmage game as well." Aizawa nodded.
"As will I." Cementoss smiled. "I hope to see how your designs look!"
Izuka smiled and bowed, before making her way out of the observation room and towards the support lab.
As she slid the door open, she found Mustard already working on the base uniform.
The two had decided to play on UA's usual color scheme. The main part of the uniform was black with two thin stripes of blue and white starting at each shoulder and running down to the end of the uniform. A red 'UA', bordered in yellow, was emblazoned upon the breast of the uniform's shirt.
"Oh! Hey Izuka. I managed to get the base made for the final guy. I was just putting the finishing touches on the captain's jersey."
Izuka nodded. "Nice. I've got the entire day to work on this next jersey, so why don't we focus on the notes?"
"Uh, yeah. He'll be here soon."
Izuka nodded and turned as the door to the studio opened, revealing a young man with snow white hair. His arms were covered in patches of burnt skin.
"Hey…"
Izuka smiled. "Welcome to the studio!"
The boy smirked. "Glad to be here. The name's Touya Todoroki."
