Chapter CCLXII: The Palace of Alexandra Part IV
As the group of villains all turned another corner, still remaining silent. It was clear that Cait sith was getting bored with all this quietness surroundingnd him. But more so, he was worried about his teammates who he'd been forced to leave behind.
"I hope that daft lass and the rest of them are fairin' well," Then saying this he looked behind himself. There he saw following closely after him was Maleficent who still continued to smile quietly, with Hari beside her as her bodyguard.
Then taking a look beyond them, he saw Jona who still had her unconscious brother across her shoulders. Yawning, the female Sphynx complained with a fed up expression, "Urgh...How much longer is this going to take!?" Then noticing Cait sith looking at her, she demanded, "Hey! You stray you better not be stalling us!"
Feeling his hair bristle with irritation at this insulting adjective, Cait sith then told her mad, "For the last time lass! We will get there when we get there! Stop bugging me about it all the time!" Then with an accusatory finger he pointed at her he added, "And don't be callin' me a stray or I'll-!"
"Children!" Maleficent said disapprovingly, then as she glared at them both. The two arguing felines quietened down immediately...
However as they recovered from this uneasy pause they all proceeded to walk on again, while Jona retorted in a low whisper to herself, "You stupid stray!"
Cait sith didn't answer back, (Though grudgingly.) However as they continued on again and the silence returned. He realised one thing after some more steps, Pete hadn't complained at all like Jona had through their corridor trekking. Looking back while becoming curious, he saw that Kagi and himself seemed to be deep in a conversation with each other. However what they could be talking about he had no idea at all. But as they all continued to all walk on, he made sure to steal a small glance whenever he could...

After they'd been discussing their plan of action they'd had cooked up hurriedly, Pete then asked him, "Okay, so you got that all memorised in that small brain of yers?"
"I think so, you're gonna let me run for it so I can try and talk to the others right?" Kagi asked his captor.
"Yeah but to make this work we're gonna need a real good distraction!" With that looking ahead and seeing Hari still protecting Maleficent with Jona just behind them. He then added, "Cause with that overpowered Sphynx and Hari being as unfeelin' as she is, me on my own can't do much against 'em."
Nodding Kagi agreed and added, "Yeah, plus with it being so silent like this if we suddenly do try anything we'll be found out too fast!"
"Exactly!" Then looking behind himself, he said, "That's why we'll need those dumb pals of yours!" Then as he said those words he added, "And typically they're only gonna appear when we won't be wantin' them won't they?"
Sadly at that moment Kagi had to agree and say, "Yeah looks like it..." Then as he looked ahead , he couldn't help but ask, "So what should we do now?"
Pete then replied, "What else can we do? We wait...until trouble stirs up!" Then as he gripped his hand upon Kagi's shoulder he went on to say, "We just gotta pray we come out of it unscathed!"
Looking on ahead Kagi agreed and simply replied, "Yeah."
With that the lot of them continued forwards, waiting for the right moment that would come for them all to move!

"BLIZZAGA!"
"RRROOOAAARRRR!"
Riku again launched another ice attack against the Heartless! Though it howled in pain, it was still struggling against the restraints that had been placed upon it.
During the time that Nozomi, Mickey and Zidane had gone through the door. The monster had broken through half of the restraints that had been placed on it! It was much stronger than the lot of them could have realised!
Riku landing back on the floor was struggling himself. For inside the pain in his chest was getting worse! He couldn't understand why though?
SNAP!
But he didn't have time to dwell upon the pain and questions! For it was clear even with his use of magic and the restraints breaking, they weren't going to hold it back for much longer!
However they'd been prepared for this possible outcome and looking back he cried out, "Reeve! Are you ready for it!"
Immediately the knight responded, "I am!" However as he stood in his position ready with his own sword and real physical shield at hand he went on to say, "You'll have to get Shirma out of that mess soon for it-!"
"RRROOOAAARRRR!"
WHOOSH!
"AGH!"
Looking back in horror, both Reeve and Riku saw that the Heartless was trying to attack Shirma with its horrible whipping antenna again! But quickly-!
GLOW!
One of Reeve's shining yellow shields appeared over Shirma preventing her from suffering any damage at all! As he stopped the attack, he looked to Riku and then told him, "Because to fend this creature off, I'll need to concentrate all the power I have into a strong enough shield if we want to give Nozomi and the rest the chance they need against Maleficent."
As he heard this, Riku the told him, "Okay, got it!"
Shirma herself though despite her fear continued to feed her power into the threads that remained to her. Doing so she concentrated and again chanted, "Aero!"
With that the spell glowed brightly again, fed by Reeve's power and as they did-!
SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!
"RRROOOAAARRRR!"
The monster howled again in agony and quickly it glared at the one who damaged it's form. This made the young white mage shiver in fear!
Riku was horribly nervous for her! He knew he couldn't let Shirma face this creature alone! He quickly went to go and assist her. But-!
"RRROOOAAARRRR!"
A massive roar was unleashed from the monster again and as it did-!
STRIKE! STRIKE! STRIKE! STRIKE! STRIKE!
It plunged it's numerous long and red dangerous whip like antenna into the floor! Confused no-one understood what was going on!
Shirma shocked uttered, "What-!" But quickly, the monster unleashed it's new attack!

Walking on together, it was perhaps another ten minutes or more when finally, "...Here's your blasted door!" Cait sith announced.
With that everyone there saw before them a pair of massive doors. They were tall and golden in colour, separated into four different panels on either side, each of them holding eight different sigils. They were engraved with precious stones amongst delicate and beautiful yellow sculpted metal vines.
Staring at them, Jona couldn't help but ask curious, "What're those marks?"
"Crests of dead Kingdoms, destroyed during the ancient Keyblade Wars..." Cait sith answered miserably.
"What a pity," Maleficent commented. However it was clear that she didn't care in the slightest, walking forwards she placed her hand against the golden frame of one of the door's. Admiring the artistry and majesty of it she smiled and said, "And now to acquire more power that will help in my total conquest." Then with those words, she asked, "Jona, if you would?"
Quiet the orange haired Jona though knew what it was Maleficent wanted without asking. But sighing she uttered, "Oh I know, just because I'm the one with the most muscle!" With that she walked over to Pete, then pulling her slumbering brother off of her shoulders, she moved him over to her cohort.
Doing this in surprise, Pete didn't know what to say? But Jona then told him, "Don't you drop him! Otherwise I'll drop you down and out!"
Not liking the dangerous glare that was in her eyes, Pete just shivered and made a small nod. For he did not want to incur her wrath in any way!
Satisfied Jona then turned and cracking her knuckles, she revealed a cunning smile and said, "Now let's see what booty we got behind these things!" With that she sunk her claws into the door and started to call upon her almighty strength to open the doors!
Watching her, everyone saw her body begin to glow brightly with orange energy and as she did, she licked her lips. It was clear she was enjoying the challenge as she focused more and more of her power into her claws... the gold barring metal underneath her grip was beginning to creak and and bend at her force!
Everyone looking was silent, it was clear in moment's that Jona was going to break through the door any moment! But before this could occur-!
RUMBLE! RUMBLE! RUMBLE! RUMBLE!
Becoming quickly unbalanced Pete cried out, struggling to hold Timbre in his hands, "Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Whoa!"
Kagi suffering just as badly cried out, "What's happening-!?"
However none of them could know, that the chaos that was being caused beneath their feet was the echoes of a distant menace!

Suddenly in horror, Shirma saw that the monster's antenna that had all struck into the floor, ripped out the very floor that she and the rest had been standing upon and as it did-!
"RRROOOAAARRRR!"
SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!
The room was bathed in a horrendous storm of whipping antennas sending heavy marble floor debris and ceiling components flying everywhere! The force of the wind and traces of darkness it left in its wake was blinding and Riku trying to shield himself uttered, "Just what is-!"
"AAAGGGHHH!"
Then to his horror he turned and saw that Shirma had been completely unbalanced and she'd lost her hold of the chains. The Aero effect had been completely lost!
The pink haired girl seeing this was terrified as she was just luckily in a space where she hadn't been struck by one of those menacing appendages. But that luck was short lived for immediately she saw one was coming straight for her!
She braced herself for the impact, but-!
"Shirma!"
SLASH!
She saw to her surprise and immense relief that the remaining Keyblader had come for her! "Riku!"
Hearing her, looking behind himself at her he asked, "Shirma are you okay?"
She quickly nodded, but noticed, "Riku look out!"
Seeing her point, the white haired Keyblader looked back and quickly he began to strike away one attack after another! However they were so fast and rapid that he was finding it difficult to keep up! Gritting his teeth as the chaos around them continued to fall about he uttered mad, "Damn! They're just no end to this is there!"
"RRROOOAAARRRR!"
It was then at that moment to everyone's further terror that the monster finally lifted itself up and off the floor! As it did-!
SNAP! SNAP! SNAP! SNAP!
The last remaining chains had been obliterated! It was free to move again!
Seeing this, Riku knew there was no time to delay so he quickly cried out, "Reeve! Are you ready!?"
"I need some more time!" The knight cried out! For in another corner of the room he was busy calling upon the energy that was needed to contain the monster.
Gritting his teeth though as the monster now was basically towering over him and Shirma, Riku called out as they ran out of the way of some more attacks, "You need to hurry up! Otherwise we'll-!"
Concentrating where he was, Reeve was so close! He was almost ready to unleash his power, he just-!
"RIKU!"
Hearing Shirma's cry, Reeve startled looked up and there he saw that the Keyblader had been struck! Worried immediately he cried out, "Riku!"
The white haired Keyblader feeling the fast and sharp stinging impacts of one of the flying pieces of debris, uttered, "Tch! Just when I wasn't-!"
"RRROOOAAARRRR!"
Suddenly the monster seeing it's chance charged straight towards the Keyblader! It's claws and long whipping antenna all coming straight for him! He moved fast and immediately-!
SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!
CLASH! CLASH! CLASH! CLASH!
He met each and every blow face on! None of them were able to touch him! This he was grateful for, but he knew this couldn't last! He needed aid otherwise-!
"Riku!"
Turning in his direction at Reeve's call, the white haired Keyblader then saw a glittering gold Protect spell being sent his way! He was at last going to get the aid he needed! He revealed a small smile of relief but just as quickly-!
"Urgh!"
Again Riku was struck by another piece of flying debris and in that moment of distraction-!
PIERCE!
One of the monster's antennae sliced straight through his chest!
"AH!"
His eyes widening from the pain and horror that the attack had inflicted on him, he felt the pulses of darkness inside it, flow into him and as it did, somewhere inside his mind he heard,
"Finally at last..."
Seeing him fall in the air with the antenna still piercing through his body, Shirma shivering in terror cried out, "RIKU!" However he didn't respond to her and it was clear as his limp body hit the floor that he'd been pushed into the realms of unconsciousness.
The monster towered over him and was about to strike into him with one of it's terrible sharp claws but in another moment-!
SHINE!
It was finally then that the protective spell came to cover Riku's body! In seconds as it's golden shine came into contact with the creature, it's deadly touch was thrown back!
"GGGGRRRR!"
It snarled angrily and in another moment-!
SLASH!
"RRRAARRGGGHHH!"
It was cut into by another blade and Shirma saw to her surprise, appearing before her it was, "Reeve!"
The knight gripping his sword tightly was feeling tense as he said with bitter agitation, "Things really have taken a worse turn!" For looking at Riku, he couldn't know what his condition was at all. But he knew he had to get to him soon or-!
"Reeve!"
Immediately distracted from his worries for his comrade, the knight hearing Shirma's call, saw again more of those horrible antenna coming their way and immediately he acted-!
SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!
He sliced straight through them all! He didn't have time to hesitate and so acted quickly! Pointing his free hand at it, he activated his spell!
"SHINING SCREEN!"
Immediately two giant halves of a glowing golden orb appeared and went in together to ensnare the monster in one huge snap! However-!
SWOOSH!
"No!" Appalled both he and Shirma saw it leap out of the way and as it did, it darted in about the room avoiding the shield at every turn before charging straight through the still opened doors! Seeing where it was going, the knight knew one thing, "It's going to go straight after the others!"
"We have to catch up to them!" Shirma spoke worriedly, quickly getting up from her helpless position.
"That we will!" With that dismissing the spell, Reeve put away his sword and in another moment he ran over to Riku's fallen form. Picking him up in his arms, he asked Shirma, "Can you heal him on the way?"
Nervous, Shirma was unsure however she didn't want doubt to get in the way as she replied, "I can try!"
"Alright," Reeve replied with that he started to run and as Shirma followed behind him, he added, "Let's hurry!"
Shirma simple nodded and with that the small group ran forwards to catch up to the rest of their comrades. They could only hope that they could arrive at the right time!

All at once the rumbling seemed to cease... as it did, Kagi nervously couldn't help but ask, "Is it...over?"
Pete standing near to him, miraculously hadn't fallen onto his large backside! However he didn't have time to gloat about this, for he could sense something was wrong in the air and as he did, he told Kagi quietly, "I wouldn't bet on it!"
"Hmmm..." Jona didn't audibly agree, but listening quietly she strained her keen ears. While holding onto the bars of the door tightly... she shut everything in her near ear shot out of her mind. As she did...
STEP! STEP! STEP! STEP!
Hey eyes opened widely as she turned and told them all, "We've got company!"
Revealing a chilling smiling, clearly expecting this. Maleficent commented, "Oh, have we?"
Then turning to face the corridor where they would emerge from, she decided, "Well, it is only right we give them a most fitting welcome!" With that, looking to her side she told her perfect sword, "Hari, why don't you do the honours?"
"Of course," came the immediate answer. With that the steel winged girl stepped forwards to 'greet,' they're guests.
Seeing her step forwards, Pete shivered and similarly Kagi did the same as they both realised with her coming forwards. It would make things even more difficult for them if she took the lead in this! Things would get intense in seconds and they knew that there would probably be zero chance of an opening for a runner!
They had to think of something fast! Real fast! But sadly they were not given that time for-!
"They're here!"
Jona announced and with that everything kicked off!

…
…
Or didn't? Surprised, no heroes or anyone came around the corner! Everyone was baffled.
"Um? Am I missing somethin' here? Where are those dumb mutts?" Pete uttered not getting what was going on.
"I dunno?" Jona told him, however as she listened with her keen ears she knew, "But someone has made it to our corner, I just don't-!"
Suddenly all around them warm winds began to blow and as they did, Kagi noticed something, "A melon?" For out of nowhere fruit came flying out too and then more! Bananas, oranges, cherries all kinds of different ones!
Pete baffled uttered, "Who in the heck has called for a fruit salad here!" Nobody though had the time to answer him for quickly-!

Forget about your worries and your strife!"
"Huh?" Further perplexed as a song began to break out, Pete asked, "Just what-!"
Suddenly from around the corner emerged a massive grey and brown nosed bear! It jiggled and danced around with a tutu of yellow leaves surrounding it's middle and as it did, everyone watched on perplexed as it continued on to sing,
"I mean the bare necessities
Old Mother Nature's recipes
That brings the bare necessities of life!"
Staring Kagi began to ask, "Um? Just where did he-! Then before he could finish his sentence-!
"Where I wander, where I roam
I couldn't be fonder of my big home!
The bees are buzzin' in the tree
To make some honey just for me."
"Whoa!"
Suddenly surprising everyone, the bear suddenly took Kagi into his massive paws and started to dance around and around with him in a joyous circle! Nobody could register this for a moment, however Hari calculated various possibilities and quickly saw what was going on! Her eyes narrowing she uttered, "So that's their plan!" With that drawing out her Keyblade she went to intercept the creature saying, "Unhand him!" But before he blade could make contact-!
BLAST! BLAST! BLAST! BLAST!
Suddenly blue blasts of laser fire came out of nowhere! As they did, they were all aimed directly at Hari! However the quick reacting warrior drew out her Keyblade as she evaded and immediately she went to retaliate calmly uttering her own spell, "Fire Blazer!"
KABOOM!
As both powers collided making a huge explosion, Baloo in the meantime continued to sing away completely carefree to all the chaos around them,
"When you look under the rocks and plants
And take a glance at the fancy ants
Then maybe try a few."
As they continued to spin around and around together, Kagi couldn't help utter, "Oh man! Oh man! I'm getting dizzy here! What's going on!"
"That's what I wanna know!" Pete cried out mad! But in another second!
SLASH!
A blinding red blast of power came forth, this quickly collided into one of the walls making a huge gash that destroyed the rest of the laser blasts that had been coming her way! As she did this she stated, "That will be enough!" However their mysterious visitors had other plans for them!
SWISH! SWISH! SWISH! SWISH! SWISH!
Quickly floods of foam and bubbles came out of nowhere! They quickly obscured everyone's vision and as they did so-!
BLAST! BLAST! BLAST! BLAST!
More laser blasts began to rain out too! As they did, it became a mess of chaos again!
"The bare necessities of life will come to you
They'll come to you!"
Trying to steady himself from the dizzying spinning, Kagi then saw how far he had gotten away from Pete and the rest! As he did, he was quiet for a moment before looking up to Baloo, who looked backed down to him with a smile. It was then he realised, "You! You're all acting as a distraction for me aren't you!"
With that he was greeted with a wink from the bear as more lyrics of the song came forth along with flying fruits and leaves!

As Baloo continued to sing away, both Eve and Wall-E continued their attack strategy. Every time Hari tried to chase after Baloo, the slick white robot would fire her barrage of laser fire keeping her back and obscuring her view with a heavy mist of foam and bubbles that Wall-E brought after her.
Seeing that her efforts weren't getting her anywhere, Hari had to admit, "This is proving to be most vexing."
"You're telling me!" Jona cried out just as annoyed! For she couldn't make her way past all the foam either!
This was not a word that Pete would often her from his accomplice. However as he saw the heavy amount of foam that was about him and all the chaos that was around. He looked down to Timbre who was still in his massive hands, as he did. He realised he had one real chance now to change his position within this dangerous game of fate.
BLAST! BLAST! BLAST! BLAST! BLAST!
As more of this barrage of blue laser came, Pete watched quietly and as Hari again leaped back along with Jona-!
"WALL-E!"
Again the smaller muckier yellow robot released his flood of foam and bubbles! Seeing this, it was then that the overweight villain decided to take his chance! Running forwards with his slumbering bargaining chip he charged into the obscuring walls of bubbles!
"Hey where are you going!" Jona cried out mad.
Seeing this occur herself, Hari didn't react. Instead all she did was stare on silently, however she didn't have time to concentrate on this for long, because again Eve proceeded once more with her attacks making her fall back with Jona.
Pete running through all the foam was nervous as anything for if Maleficent noticed his change of heart, he knew that this would not end well for him! However believing in the words that Kagi had told him he charged forwards! With a desperate hope that things could change for the better!

In the distance, around a few corridor corners down Nozomi and Mickey were maintaining their focus upon their magic. For both of them had each used one summon gem, allowing for both forces to be used at once!
As Nozomi continued her focus, she couldn't help but ask the King, "Do you think Zidane was able to lead them to right place your Majesty?"
"I should think so!" He answered. Then as he remembered what they had discussed in their battle plans he told her further, "We know they're not too far from us, so he should be able to get the lot of them there, cause I know that Hari and Maleficent would be expecting us, so a surprise move on our end is the best chance we got!"
Nozomi nodded, "Yeah I know... it's just-!"
"Look for the bare necessities

Forget about your worries and your strife!"
Hearing this joyful singing voice, Nozomi felt a surge of excitement. A hopeful smile lighting her face, the female Keyblader looking to her comrade asked, "Do you think they-?"
Smiling himself Mickey then replied, "I think it might be a yes!" Then as he said those words-!
"Hi guys!"
It was from around the corner that a familiar bright face emerged! It was none other than the smiling Zidane! Then quickly behind him-!
"I mean the bare necessities
That's why a bear can rest at ease"
There came dancing in was none other than Baloo and still dancing within his paws it was none other than-!
"Kagi you're safe!" Nozomi cried out happily.
"Yeah it's me..." However the long green haired boy couldn't help but say, "Um? Could you... get this bear to let me go now?" For he didn't know how much more he could take as he said, "...I'm really dizzy!"
"Oh! Sure sorry there Kagi!" With that quickly Nozomi went to dismiss her spell and as she did, it was then Baloo sung the last of his lines,
"With just the bare necessities of life!"
With those words, Baloo finally released Kagi from his dance and glittered away in a wave of falling leaves, returning to his true form as a bright yellow summon gem that was in Nozomi's hands.
Landing on the floor, Kagi was so glad for the steady and still floor that was underneath him again. He couldn't help but say with relief, "Man! I thought that would never end!"
Nozomi looking to him then asked, "Did Baloo treat you roughly?"
"No far from out it! He protected me really well," Kagi replied but he had to add, "It just wouldn't end!"
Then Zidane walking over couldn't help but say, "Yeah it was kind of funny for a dance actually!"
"Not while you're caught in it!" Then Kagi looking to him annoyed continued on and asked, "And why didn't you stop him!"
"I didn't want to get caught up in it too!" Zidane laughed.
"Urgh..." Kagi groaned with annoyance.
As he did this, Nozomi put her gem back onto her bracelet. As she did this she decided to ask, "Has Maleficent got into that treasure room Kagi?"
Shaking his head he replied, "No," but quickly remembering Pete he said, "But look there's something else I need to tell you guys! There's something that's changed!"
Puzzled as he continued to maintain the spell, Mickey asked, "Changed?"
Nodding, Kagi continued on to say, "Yeah! I know it's gonna be hard for you guys to believe but-!"
"Whooo!"
Spooked, everyone turned around and there arriving on the seen surprising everyone it was none other than-!
"Cait sith!?"
For there indeed standing before them all was the small black and white crowned cat. As he stood there, he gave a peace sign telling them, "In the flesh lads!"
Really surprised, Zidane asked, "Hey! How did you get away! I mean you were right behind everyone and-!"
"That's the beauty of it!" Cait sith laughed, with that looking to Mickey seeing the gem he was maintaining he went on to say, "Cause of me small size and an effective blanket of foam to aid me, I was able to sneak my way past that green hag!"
Nozomi hearing this finally recovering from her surprise herself she went on to say, "Well good going! It's good we got you back!" However thinking about one other person they were missing she went on to say, "But still Timbre..."
To which Cait sith then said, "Not an issue now lass!"
Blinking, Nozomi confused looking down to him asked, "What?"
With that Cait sith announced, "Cause I think that Kagi's been able to perform a little miracle for us!"
"What're you talking about?" Zidane asked confused.
It was then that Kagi finally getting back his sense of balance stood up and said, "It's Pete!"
"Captain Pete?" Mickey asked curious.
Kagi then nodded and said, "Yeah, he's come on to our side now!"
"What!?" Zidane uttered in disbelief, "That overweight tub of lard has changed sides!?"
Nozomi hearing this couldn't help but be dismissive herself as she thought of Hari and Maleficent she said, "Why would he do that? I mean he's been against us with Hari since day one! Why would he-?"
"It's because of Hari!" Kagi said then as everyone's attention was drawn to him, he continued on to say, "Pete wants to save her like I do!"
Hearing this absolute belief, everyone still looked doubtful but Nozomi hearing this was really surprised and asked, "He wants to save her?"
"How can we know that's the truth though?" Zidane asked Kagi.
"Cause you'll be able to see it for yourself!" Cait sith announced, with that he looked back and called back, "Oi! What don't you come on over and show 'em your goods tubby!"
"Don't you be callin' me that!"
Quickly becoming spooked, everyone was immediately on guard! However as there adversary came around the corner it was then with surprise that they all saw Pete, carrying Timbre's unconscious form in his arms!
Seeing his pal, Zidane immediately ran over call out, "Timbre!" With that he went and got his friend from Pete's unresisting hands.
