(This is an older oneshot from the now deleted MHA anthology oneshot collection New Fates One Dream. I decided to post them here for the sake of keeping these ideas somewhere in case I have a last minute wave of inspiration or something.)
Hello everyone! MiniTennyson here with a brand new oneshot for the MHA anthology fic New Fates One Dream
This yime we have a MHA X HIGURASHI NO NAKU KORO NI crossover, where after getting pushed too much by Bakugou, Izuku tried to kill himself.
After that went south, he was hospitalized for one month, and was sent by his mother to live in a nowhere village of Hinamizawa.
I don't own MHA nor I own Higurashi. All rights go to the original IP holders.
This is more of a sneak peek than a proper oneshot but even given its short lenght...
Enjoy!
All the sound that was resounding in the cluttered room was the eternal chimes of the cicada and the sickening noise of a baseball bat hitting someone just as the putrid smell of blood started filling the room.
A green-haired boy is seen wielding a baseball and hitting the bodies of two girls, as he breathed in and out harshly, tears falling down his eyes with every hit he gave with the baseball.
He…trusted them. These two girls he just murdered in cold blood…were the only people to accept him for who he was, spend time with him and not insult him
They were…his true friends. And…he…he killed them.
As he looked at the carnage and destruction he caused to the bodies of the two girls…he couldn't recognize them anymore. If it wasn't for their clothing and distinctly colored hair…he wouldn't be able to recognize them.
Upon closer inspection however…h…he noticed that one of the girls had a plain black marker in hand. A marker he could've swore was a needle not even a second ago. That's when the realization hit him.
This…this was all his fault. He wasn't himself lately…the paranoia…the fear…the numbness…the hatred…all of them…may have made him hallucinate the entire thing.
Finally…after he hit the bodies of his former friends multiple times…the greenette finally screamed out in anguish and threw the baseball bat away onto the ground as tears finally started falling down his cheeks.
"Why….wh…why did it have to end like this…w…what did I do to deserve becoming a killer…I…I only wanted to be a hero. T…then why. WHY?!" the boy shouted to himself as he unwillingly used his left hand to scratch his neck…
But…
He scratched his neck so badly…that blood came out.
The room suddenly went silent. Only the cicada chimes have been heard before…
The green-haired boy is seen slumping over and falling next to his dead friends, as a crescendo of blood surrounds him.
A mysterious person holding a gun is seen smirking as they look down at the fallen friends.
"This is REDACTED speaking. The queen carrier and all possible witnesses have been taken care of. Proceed to the next step of the operation."
Then…everything went to black as the deep voice of a mature woman is heard speaking as the scene changes to showing the beautiful blue sky.
The deep feminine voice sighs deeply before finally, reciting a haiku:
"Please do not deplore yourself.
Even if the world does not forgive you, I will forgive you.
Please do not deplore yourself.
Even if you do not forgive the world, I will forgive you.
So please tell me.
What will it take for you to forgive me?

THAT DEMON WITH GREEN EYES
MHA X HIGURASHI NO NAKU KORO NI
JUNE 13TH 1983
ONE WEEK EARLIER.
A bus is seen driving through the hills and forests of the Japanese countryside of the Shishibone region of the Gifu prefecture, a green haired boy looking lazily on the window with tired emerald eyes. This was Izuku Midoriya, our hapless protagonist.
The boy known as Izuku Midoriya sighed heavily as he remembered why his mother sent him away to this nowhere village of Hinamizawa.
"My name is…Izuku Midoriya. I'm…15 years old and…umm…as you can probably guess…I'm not from around here…"
"I live in a society where 80% of the world population have superpowers…and I was unfortunately born with the rare condition of being quirkless."
"Of course…I have no quirk…made me prone to bullying and scrutiny. Both from my family and friends…even my childhood friend…Katsuki Bakugou bullies me on a daily basis…"
"After I was attacked by a villain on the way to school and saved by my idol…the No.1 Superhero, All Might. I asked him if a quirkless person like me could be a hero…and he said…no."
"That day my dreams were crushed…and not wishing to return to my mom in a depressed state…shameful that not even my idol believes in me. I had enough of that…and when I remembered Kacchan telling me I would do everyone a good to the world…If I just swanned off a roof."
"So…I did exactly that. But instead of dying and going to the afterlife…I felt pain. Lots and lots of pain. Followed by me getting hospitalized for a month…"
"My mom…not wishing me to remain at a school where everyone hated me for being quirkless…she decided to send me away to live with my uncle in a nowhere village…Hinamizawa."
"The thought of moving to a new town and to a new school…terrified me, it still does. W…what if no one is kind to me or wants to talk to me…what if…what if it's the same thing as with the last school?!"
"Hey kid! Are you getting down?" The driver asked Izuku…but the greenette was too stuck in his anxious thoughts to notice what was going on.
"HEY KID! We're here! Are you getting down or not? We don't have all day, you know." The driver repeated himself more loudly this time as Izuku's eyes widened.
"S-sorry, sir! I…I was just lost in my thoughts and I…umm…umm…!" The quirkless teen exclaimed while waving his hands up and down frantically, making the bus driver feel a bit bad, putting the kid on edge out of the blue like that.
"It's fine, kiddo, no need to apologize but…you sure you can make it to the village on your own? The bus stop is like 2 miles from the village itself." The bus driver stated to the greenette, much to Izuku's dismay.
"2…2 miles?! O…on foot!?" Izuku exclaimed in shock, though louder than he intended. What kind of modern day society puts the bus stop 2 miles away from the village!?
"Sorry boy, like it or not…that's the situation. You're the grandson of Takeo Midoriya-san, right? His house is fairly close to the bus station, so you can rest and not need to walk for 2 miles straight without stopping." The bus driver assured the teen, causing Izuku to be a bit flabbergasted at how the man knew he was related to his uncle.
"Y…yes but how did you know, s…sir…?"
"That green hair is the same color as either Takeo Midoriya-san or the Sonozaki family. You don't give me the vibe that you would be with the Yakuza, so yer clearly related to Takeo-san."
"A…alright then. See you later, I guess, bus driver-san." Izuku said politely before sighing shakily as he got off the bus and looked into the distance to see if he could
"Y…you know what…? I…I think I changed my mi…" Izuku said as he looked back, hoping he could just go home…just for him to notice that the bus already drove off. "...nd…"
Seeing he had no option other than walking on ahead…so Izuku Midoriya started the hell that was walking for 2 miles(4 kilometers) straight without pause.
Luckily for the young man, however, his uncle, Takeshi Midoriya decided to pick Izuku up with his old car, so the poor boy didn't need to walk 2 miles on foot and enjoyed the leisure of traveling with a car(even through the smoke coming from the engine was irritating his eyes).
En route towards the village's local school, Izuku confirmed a few things to himself about his uncle. Takeo didn't seem like a bad person, and even went as far as to drive 2 miles just to take him on a drive. The uncle seemed to be a pretty jovial and nice person who genuinely loved the village and its traditions.
"...and…this your stop, nephew. This is our loving village's school. It may seem a bit small compared to what you're used to in the big city…but I think you'll fit just fine!" Takeo exclaimed with a laugh, before noticing Izuku sighing heavily as he got out of the car.
"Listen Izuku…Inko told me what those kids were putting you through at your old school, but relax a little. The kids from Hinamizawa are not like that at all, trust me, alright?" The uncle said as he patted Izuku's back as said greenette nodded.
"A…alright…Takeo-san…I…I will try…" Izuku stated numbly as he made his way towards the small school's wooden creaky doors, entering the newly cleaned halls. He was expecting someone welcoming him or something but instead…nothing.
The quirkless teen sighed before looking around in an attempt to find his classroom. I mean…how hard could it be? It's a relatively small school after all, right…? WRONG.
The greenette walked around the school up and down, left and right, all around but he found either a dead end or a broom closet. WHAT KIND OF SCHOOL HAS THAT MANY BROOM CLOSETS?
Izuku instantly froze once the bell signaling that class was about to start was heard, making the teen realize that he could be late to class on the first day of class at the new class nonetheless, as if being quirkless and laughed at was not enough, he now was also late too!
The greenette started to frantically walk around the school, in an attempt to find the classroom, only for Izuku not to look where he was going and bump into a young adult woman with shoulder-length blue hair and brown eyes, causing her to drop all her papers.
"AH! S…sorry…m…miss! I…it was all my fault, le..let me just…!" Izuku stuttered uncontrollably as he frantically started grabbing the papers off of the ground.
"Oh, you must be Midoriya Izuku-san. I'm Chie, the homeroom teacher. It's alright, no need to apologize." The blue-haired woman now known as Chie said with a smile as Izuku handed the papers back to her. "I apologize for keeping you waiting for so long, something happened on my way here. You don't mind right?"
"G…good morning, sensei! I…it's alright…I didn't wait too long anyways…" Izuku said with a forced smile, the fact that he was anxious and nervous just a few moments ago very apparent.
"No need to be so nervous, Midoriya-san. I assure you that everyone will welcome you with open arms…even with that situation of yours…" Chie-sensei said with a smile, not really realizing that the way she said situation may have come off across to the young man.
Izuku didn't say anything about how he felt about his situation as a quirkless person in a world where most people have them, and instead decided to give the teacher a trembling smile along with a "I…I will try not to be this n…nervous but I can't really h…help it either…" before following Chie into the classroom.
Izuku realised a bit too late the fact that the classroom didn't have only 15-years students as he was expecting, instead, other than him there was only one girl that looked to be the same age as him with other students seeming to be around the 8-14 age range with one possible 16-year old boy.
GREAT. JUST GREAT, Now Izuku didn't just have to worry himself about making a joke out of himself in front of kids his age, but also in front of a bunch of kids younger than him.
"Good morning students, today we have an exchange student, Midoriya Izuku-san. Well, Midoriya-san, why don't you introduce yourself]
"H…hi everyone…t..the name is Iz…Izuku Mi…Midoriya…I…I'm 15 years old…I…I love heroes a…and…I…I'm a quirkless person…" the greenette stammered, awaiting either laughter or mockery coming from the other students…but no one really paid mind to him. They all stared at him a second before turning their glares away and continued what they were doing. Izuku had no idea whether this was good or bad.
"Alright then Midoriya-san, your seat will be…the free spot next to Sonozaki-san, Ryuugu-san and Maebara-san." Chie-sense stated as she motioned towards a seat where a green-haired girl, brown-haired boy and ginger-haired girl were talking.
Izuku shrugged his shoulders as he nonchalantly made his way towards the seat and sat down quickly, avoiding eye contact as if he was afraid they'd notice him.
After a good minute of awkward silence between the trio and Izuku, the green-haired girl smirked and decided to start a conversation.
"Heya, you're Izuku, right? Nice to meetcha, I'm Mion Sonozaki and these are my friends Rena Ryuugu and Keiichi Maebara." The green haired girl now revealed to be Mion said as she motioned towards the ginger-head girl and brown-haired boy.
"Nice to meet you!" The ginger-head girl revealed to be Rena said in a cutesy and polite manner.
" 'Sup!" The older brown-haired boy revealed to be Keiichi said rather casually considering the fact that he just met Izuku.
"H….hi…" Izuku said in a rather meekly manner.
"Can I ask you something? Do you like games, Izuku-kun?" the teenage green-haired girl asked with a smile.
"Umm…s…sure…I guess I like games…w…why…?" The quirkless teen asked in slight confusion.
"Well, it's your lucky day! We have a game club here at school! Would you be interested in joining in?" The green-haired girl said with content.
"I…is t…this a joke?" Izuku asked awkwardly, not really knowing whether she was serious or not.
"No…why would you think that? We really want a new club member." Mion said in a boisterous manner.
"W…well…I'm quirkless. P…people usually don't invite me to do stuff…" Izuku muttered with slight anxiety, remembering the many times he was bullied in the past.
"That's what you were worried about? Don't be stupid, who cares about that. As long as you can play games, you're good to go!" Mion laughed as she patted Izuku on the shoulder.
"Izuku-kun is so kyute when he's worried! Hauu!" Rena said with a big smile, causing the greenette to blush at being called "kyute" by the ginger.
"As they said, who cares whether you have a quirk or not? We can be friends regardless of that!" Keiichi said with a reassuring smirk.
"You guys…" Izuku said with a genuine smile, he couldn't believe he really met people who like him and his company when playing games.
That one moment of happiness. The moment where he made friends that accepted him for who he was…friends he could share good memories…
He didn't realize that was also the moment…the nightmare started…
Insert Song-Higurashi When They Cry DIMA LANCASTER cover
I turn around now
And see someone's empty eyes
Staring back at me
Right through the darkness
I clawed my way out
And tonight you will feel
Heavy raindrops smothering
Stained with blood and filled with insanity
They're running down my cheeks
There's no, no place to go
I'll burn it and never turn back anymore
Take my fingers, run away
Take my fingers, long decayed
Doesn't matter what you say
I will take you anyway
To the forest dark and cold
Where cicadas sing their songs
About how everybody dies,
How this ends when they cry
