Beta: Old man of the mountain/Darklord331
I let out a shaky sigh as I sit up from bed, the gentle shrouded sunlight being cast along my wall.
I toss my bed sheet and blanket aside and slowly walk over to the window, gazing over the outside land.
I let out a quiet sigh as I look down from where I am.
Most of my window is obscured by a thick tree, I am on the second floor of a building, a plane of well-trimmed grass extends out towards several tall metal fences, the kind you may see around the perimeter of a mansion's grounds.
Signal academy in all of its obscured glory.
I didn't die in my sleep last night.
"Fantastic." I sigh.
I walk back over to my bed, grab the empty sleeping pills bottle, and toss it into the trash can on the other side of my room.
Fucking aura.
Should have known it would detoxify my body.
I shake my head and walk over to a desk, rubbing my eyes tiredly.
My name, is Lucas Vermilion.
A Huntsman in training at the illustrious Signal Academy.
My life has been... not what you would call 'good'.
This world is tainted. Diseased.
Humanity is more or less forced to live in four large super cities because of an unholy blight that resides on the planet, the creatures of grimm. A bunch of strange shadow monsters that are seemingly endless, disappear into smoke when they die- thus we are actively taking losses every time we kill one with something other than a melee weapon- leaving us with dwindling resources and a scourge whose only purpose is to maim and kill.
There are some places in the world that aren't contained within the four main super cities, primarily islands, but simple villages do not typically last very long.
Patch, is one of these lucky places that exist outside of a main city.
Just to the west of Vale, the island of Patch holds a fairly large town. The island's size makes it so there aren't many opportunities for larger Grimm to appear here.
At most, there are packs of Beowolves near the western cliffs, maybe an ursa major or two in the forests? Overall, a really safe place to live.
Safer than most places at the very least.
Now, why did I chug a bottle of sleeping pills and try to achieve the 'big sleep'?
It's pretty simple.
I'm tired.
I have basically nothing to live for.
You see, once, a long time ago, I was in a happy little family... then the grimm attacked. My family died, and I was orphaned at a young age.
You see, there are two real options for orphans in this world. One. They simply are raised in an orphanage their entire life, or two. They are trained as child soldiers to fight against the creatures of grimm.
They allow you- when you are probably still too young to make such life altering decisions about yourself- to choose between being raised with other kids, or to be a 'cool hero who beats the bad grimm!'
Borderline illegal to manipulate children in such a way. Definitely unethical.
I, foolishly, decided 'yeah! Let's beat those monsters that killed my family! I'm going to be the hero who kills all the grimm!'
So I got the power in my soul unlocked, was sent away to an academy which gave me a room to myself- the only good thing about my situation- and I was trained to fight and kill monsters naturally several times stronger than a normal man.
Now, sounds cool, right?
Wrong.
There's a clear divide between a 'good' huntsmen or huntress, and a 'subpar' one.
Primarily the special ability called a semblance, which is a unique power every person has the potential to unlock.
With Aura, you get the basic strength, speed, healing, and telekinetic shield package.
A semblance can let you shoot fireballs, store damage for later, or, like, increasing your size based on how superior you feel compared to your opponent.
What power you get is completely random and can make or break your fighting style.
Do you rely on a sniper rifle yet you have the ability to shock people you touch? Sorry. Sort of useless semblance.
Do you fight in melee? Here, an ability to see really far away like your eyes are binoculars.
Are you just like... a dude... congrats, you've unlocked the ability to slow your perception to the point where you basically are an untouchable god.
I, being what I like to call myself a 'well adjusted'- debatable considering I just tried to off myself- individual with even the slightest iota of foresight' can clearly see... that my future doesn't look good.
I barely pass most of my classes, no semblance, decidedly in the lower half of combat class, pushed around by my classmates, I'm not very good at fighting, so I'm doomed to be a mook.
I won't be able to make it into Beacon, thus my huntsman education would be incomplete, incomplete and subpar, so I decided to save myself from decades of being meager and pathetic, struggling job to job, but it appears my carefully thought out plan died a quiet death instead of me.
I let out a sigh as I look around my frankly depressing room.
Bed, desk, minifridge, microwave.
No stove, no kitchen, and barely any storage space.
Fucking hell.
I was hoping that I could avoid school this year due to my untimely demise.
Ah well.
Won't be trying that again... I'm too much of a coward to do it in any sort of potentially painful way.
I let out a long sigh as I reach over to my desk and grab a box full of 'Fruit Hoops' then grab the sole plastic bowl I had been using for pretty much my entire tuition here in Signal.
Pov: Nearby
Two heterochromatic eyes blink as she stares through a pair of binoculars. Peering through the leaves of a tree, trying to spy any sign of movement.
He's awake!
A girl with a perfect split of pink and brown hair sits crouched atop a building, gazing out over a large metal fence that signifies the limits to the grounds of Signal Academy.
She quietly curls a lock of her hair around her finger absentmindedly as a grin splits her face.
Neo 'Cosmo' Politan is many things.
A total crook, niece of Vale's biggest crime boss, a person who makes used of dozens of fake identities, some of whom are wanted by most of the kingdom's governments, certifiably unhinged, definitely psychopathic, with a kill count higher than most grimm.
There are also a few recent developments.
She's in love!
She's also completely OBSESSED with said target of her yearning. Like, to a maddening and unhealthy degree.
Why?
Huh...
Actually, that's a good question.
It all began about three weeks ago when she went out to drown her sorrows at a nearby ice cream parlor.
Her favorite series released its final episode and she was feeling super lethargic. Like, not to the point she'd hunt down the original producers and actors to blackmail into another season, but still a fair portion.
They made something truly wonderful and deserve to be treated with respect.
Anyways, lo and behold, the parlor was robbed by a couple of geniuses who thought that spraying an assault rifle is a good way to get their way, so there she was, about to use her semblance to get out of the way and simply walk away, as reasonably, she was in her original form who hasn't been registered to have Aura, but... then he stepped in the way...
Taking numerous bullets meant for her.
He then lunged forward and took out the two aura-less men as his own aura broke.
He could have very easily died... in fact, his defenseless body was punched by one of the men, leaving him with a bruise.
He could have simply ignored her and took them both out but he made the conscious decision to potentially sacrifice his own life for hers...
THAT'S. HOT.
There's just something about it that drives her wild.
He's decent in appearance, she supposes.
Almost all huntsmen and huntresses are naturally attractive. No acne, their lifestyle requires them to be in shape, Aura itself tends to bring them into their 'perfect state'.
She tilts her head slightly as she looks back through the binoculars.
Lucas Vermilion.
Turned Sixteen last week, third year of Signal Academy.
A bit young for her, but age is just a number!
Orphan. Rated tenth in his class for combat out of eighteen people.
His current skill in combat is pretty low, but that's something she could fix!
As for his personality? It's fine.
A little self-deprecating and a little downcast at times- but he's likable in all other aspects of his personality! Taking into account the numerous times she passed him by in the street and 'spoke' to him in passing while under disguise via her semblance, of course. The sadness there is still a little apparent, buuut she can fix him! She just needs to give her boyfriend some confidence!
And, yes.
Boyfriend.
They're absolutely dating. Lucas might not know it, but they are!
They have nice long walks together- that she only knows about- had numerous dinner dates- at separate tables- she walks him home every day...
It's so romantic!
Pov: Returned
I look to the black haired woman with silver eyes standing at the front of the room, she's talking- and has been talking about dust safety for literally the entire class.
"Any questions?"
"…" she gets no response.
Third year is when we get to mess around with dust.
Last year, we spent the entire year of Miss Rose's class designing and building our own personal weapons, or at least the prototypes for our own weapons. The thing is, we were only ever allowed to use 'basic ammunition'. The stuff you could grab from any gun store.
The extremely normal, point and shoot a lead bullet at a target in front of you.
There was nothing special about those bullets.
No explosions, no freezing whatever you hit, no hyper-dense slugs.
Just bullets.
This year, we are beginning to learn Dust Alchemy to create our own ammunition.
"Cardin, what are you to do if your vial of powdered fire dust ignites near where you have stored your wind, ice, and rock dusts?"
"Uhhhh..." The brown haired teen towards the front of the class slowly mutters.
He falls silent for a long moment. "Put it out?"
"How?" Summer prods.
"W-Water?"
"It's clear you weren't paying attention, Cardin, you don't pour water on certain types of dust. Fire being one of them. What about you, Lucas, do you have the answer?"
"Fire blanket or some form of non-flammable substance like dirt or sand?" I reply after a moment of pause before I realized that she picked me to answer her question.
"Correct. You smother the flames with something else, much like you would with a lid on grease fire." The woman nods. "At least someone was paying attention."
The bell rings causing our teacher to glance back at the clock. "Ah. Well. We're out of time for today, but tomorrow we will begin cataloging types of dusts and their effects. I hope you all have a pleasant lunch and the rest of your day."
The class as one begins to gather their things, making for the door as they head towards the lunch room.
I let out a quiet sigh, grab my bag and begin to walk through the halls.
Pov: Elsewhere.
A pink, brown, and white haired girl bobs her head to the left and right as she creeps through a room.
If she could, she'd be humming right now. Completely jazzed about her current situation.
An open window sits just behind her, curtains billowing slightly as the tree beyond rustles in the gentle early summer breeze.
The room of her beloved!
It's small.
Like, worse than a standard apartment!
No kitchen, no tv, not even a couch to lay on.
Just a twin bed, a desk with a fairly old computer- I mean, it doesn't even have a dust-tec hard light screen that can shrink down and disappear into the computer's base! It's an actual monitor!
It may be a little small, but... it smells like him. Comforting.
You'd think that a school training warriors might splurge on the living conditions for the future saviors of the kingdoms... maybe just a little bit, but she guesses they need more money to buy dust or whatever. Maybe some embezzlement here and there? It's possible.
She frowns at the room as she crouches down.
She looks under the bed, finding a shoebox, which is empty, a binder full of Evomon trading cards that looks well taken care of, and a photo album.
She opens the album and frowns as she sees a younger photo of her boyfriend in between a man with black hair and a petite woman with long flowing blonde hair.
She shakes her head, closing it back up and gently placing it back under the bed where it belongs.
That's his last memories of his family. Those should be kept safe and secure.
She steps into the bathroom, it's equally as small as his room.
The girl blinks twice as she spies a tooth brush sat in a cup by the sink.
She promptly licks the brussels and places it back in the cup.
Indirect kiss acquired!
Though, I mean, it's proper hygiene to wash a toothbrush both before and after brushing your teeth, so it'll probably be diluted just a little bit, but the idea remains!
She returns to the other room looking for something else to get into, eventually spying something she lets out a low muted gasp, rifling through her boyfriend's trash, genuinely curious to see what has been thrown away.
Papers. Receipt for a nearby subway joint.
She looks over what he got on his sandwich, nodding once as it lines up with what he got the time before.
Knowledge of Lucas' favorite sandwich acquired.
The mute girl nods once with a pleased smirk on her lips as she pulls out an empty bottle of pills.
She tilts her head.
Sleeping pills?
Huh. Has Lucas been having trouble sleeping recently? That's a shame because these don't really work too well on people with aura- wait.
The prescription was filled... yesterday...
And the bottle is empty.
Her multicolored pink and brown eyes rapidly shift in color, going from a horrified white, to a sickened puke green, to a saddened blue, the colors continue to shift as she struggles with the idea that is rapidly pieced together with context clues.
Her eyes eventually settle on a deep blood red as the bottle crunches in her fist, the plastic squeaking as it is compressed down into a mangled hunk.
Lucas is depressed.
Who did that to him?
WHO CAUSED HIM TO FEEL THIS WAY?!
She is going to find them, break them, string them up by their small intestine and strangle them with their large. SHE is going to BRUTALIZE them. TEAR THEM LIMB FROM BLOODY SCREAMING LIMB FOR MAKING HER BELOVED SAD! THEY WILL RUE THE FUCKING DAY THAT THEY CROSSED PATHS WITH HER. THEIR VERY BLOODLINE WILL QUAKE IN HER MERE PRESENCE AS THE CELLS THAT COMPRISE THIER BODIES SHUDDERS IN RECOGNITION OF WHAT SHE HAS DONE!
But what would happen if Lucas did something to himself while she was so distracted elsewhere?
"…"
I duck past a slash from the sword of the blonde teen in front of me, a revolver mixed with a karambit sits in my hand as I duck past the next slash, catching the blow with the barrel of my gun and punching the teen in the face.
He seems genuinely surprised by my move as I shoot him in the torso with my gun.
He has more reach than me in melee. Something he uses to great effect as he swings forwards, catching my shoulder with the tip of his sword.
A pistol round from the gun in the sword's cross guard slams into my chest as I parry the next blow.
"Alright, that's enough." Our teacher calls out.
I let out a few huffing breaths as my opponent does the same.
I gave it my all, but damn. Looks like it was all for naught.
Dove Bronzewing: 42%
Lucas Vermilion: 26%
I turn and walk back to my seat at the back of the classroom, stepping over the tripping leg of Yang of all people.
My opponent had more aura than me. Simple as that.
Dove sits at Sixth place in our year, always a couple step behind Cardin, who he is the goon of. Above him, are three girls. First place being Yang, the total bitch that she is.
You ask a girl to be your girlfriend one time on the first day of the first year and she holds a grudge for our entire fucking education.
I genuinely have zero idea what my younger dumber self saw in her. I clearly dodged a fucking bullet there.
My eyes flick up to the clock.
'Oh good. Class is almost done... then I can go home. Look at boring internet videos to distract myself for a few hours, shower, then go to bed.'
I let out a quiet yawn as I get up from bed, rubbing an eye as I blearily look around my room.
The curtains billow slightly from the gust of wind that comes through my open window,
I bring a hand to my head and scratch my temple as I slowly stand up-
My blood chills as I see someone sat in my desk chair, filing her nails with a small smile as she looks over me.
"W-Who the hell are you?!" I question.
She is... extremely short, wearing a white jacket and brown jeans, her hair is probably the most noticeable part about her, two- no... three toned. Split right down the center of her head, one half brown, and the other pink with streaks of white throughout.
Eyes of two different color seem to bore into my very soul. One pink, and the other brown, the inverse of her hair.
The corners of her mouth tilt upwards as she offers a wave, tapping a finger towards her throat.
"…"
"You're... mute?" I whisper, causing the girl to nod once with a pleased smile.
I have been meeting a lot of mute people recently.
Huh.
"Cool. I don't give a shit. Who the FUCK are you, how did you get into my room, and WHY are you here?!" I snarl.
A word appears beside her head, forming from nothing.
"Neo."
There's an arrow beside it pointing to her head.
'SHIT! She has Aura. FUCK! That's bad. If it was just some girl, I would have been able to easily beat her, but a huntress in training?! She has her semblance unlocked!'
The name disappears as the arrow points to the window.
With a loud thud she slams a crumpled bottle on my desk, glaring at it briefly before her narrowed eyes slide to me.
The hairs on the back of my neck raise as the sheer malice radiating from her begins to overwhelm me.
A primal part of my mind makes itself known. My survival instincts pleading for me to play dead. She is powerful.
I've never felt such malicious intent before... what does she want-
"Wh-what do you want with me?" I whisper
Her gaze softens as she pulls out a scroll and pushes the send button.
*Ping*
The collapsed form of my own scroll lets out a chime and vibrates twice atop my bedside table, signifying I have gotten a text.
She knows my number.
How the fuck does she know my number?
Has she been following me?
For how long?
"I want to know." The text from the unknown number demands.
"Know what?" I whisper.
*Ping*
A plastic pill bottle bounces off my forehead as she spikes it into me, causing me to flinch back.
"You tried to OFF yourself. Why? Tell me. WHY."
"What?" I whisper.
How... does she know that.
Her eyes are now a solid blood red as she glowers at me.
I get another text. "You tried to escape ME. How dare you!"
"I-I don't even know you!" I hiss with mild worry.
*Ping*
*Ping*
*Ping*
"ANSWER."
"THE."
"QUESTION."
I cringe and look down at the bed.
"Look. I... was just so tired, alright. This damned school manipulated an innocent ten year old who had just lost his parents into thinking that he could be some sort of hero that could beat back the creatures of grimm. I unlocked my aura, and instead of having a normal childhood, as normal of one as I could have, being traumatized and loathing anything with a black, white, and red color scheme, I was being trained to fight."
"When I came to this school, I thought I was hot shit, but I came to realize that my teacher didn't really see the need to show me any real attention and let me build a fighting style that frankly sucked. I was just another body to block the tide of grimm. That leads me to here. Where I try my best and I'm fucking average. No. I'm tenth in a class of eighteen. I'm below average. The school gave me a room that is worse than most micro apartments. I mean, I don't even have a real freezer, fridge, or stove! I have no form of allowance, nor any real way to hold a part time job due to this school's stupid fucking standards that I can barely keep up with, and..."
I let out a long sigh as I look up at the ceiling. "None of this would be a problem if I had a family and home to go back to. But I don't. And I had thought to myself 'why am I allowing myself to suffer like this when I'm clearly just going to die to grimm?' Below average huntsmen don't last long and while, yes, I do want to save people... I won't be able to because I'm weak. It's not like I could make a difference with a fucking revolver and a little knife."
"That's it. My grand reason for wanting to just... stop.-" I begin only to pause as two small arms wrap around my body.
I stiffen for a moment, my heart beating in my chest as the girl looks up at me, tears welling at the corners of her eyes.
She rubs my back with a hand as she continues to... hug me?
Is... is it sad that I feel like I want to break down at the briefest showing of affection?
I sit there, basically limp as she sits on the bed beside me.
I take a shaky breath as I can feel tears prickle at my eyes.
Eventually she gets up and walks back to the chair she was sat in a moment ago, casting a sad look over me that eventually hardens as she types out another message on her scroll.
'Holy shit. What is... wrong with me? For a minute I forgot that she broke into my room. I... am giving that far less attention than I should...'
*Ping*
Why does she care so much? Why go through so much effort to comfort someone she had never met before?
My eyes flick down to my scroll.
"If you try anything like that again I'll make you regret it. You worried me so much."
"Why do you even care?" I whisper.
She shoots me a bright smile as she sends two simple words.
*Ping*
"We're dating~!"
"Huh?" I mutter.
*Ping*
"It all started about three weeks ago, you saved my life! Don't you remember?"
"I saved your life?" I huff with a flat stare. "Fat chance. What could I do that you couldn't do better in every single way?"
A flurry of messages hit me as she rapidly types out things. She has surprisingly swift fingers. She must text a lot.
"Remember when you stopped that robbery? You took all of those bullets for me." Her text announces.
"I-"
Hold on... I actually do remember her.
She points at me.
*Ping*
"Take care of yourself or I'll make you regret it."
As I look back up the girl shatters into multiple shards of glass that rapidly evaporate into nothing.
W-Well...
That was...
A thing.
I have a girlfriend now?
She broke into my room... I should feel genuinely terrified right now.
But...
Hugs are nice.
'Am I really so touch starved that I'd willingly accept the deranged psychotic stalker girl who broke into my house?'
I look around slowly, eyes straying the room as I contemplate.
Yes.
Yes I am.
I stand up and let out a long groan as I stretch my arms above my head.
Briefly placing a hand on my chest I let out a quiet sigh.
I have felt more variety in emotions in the past five minutes than I have practically the entire school year last year.
I step out of bed and walk over to the mini fridge under my desk, planning to grab a bottle of grape juic-
I blink down at the contents.
I'm fairly certain I've already eaten the sandwich I got from Metro.
A sticky note on the wrapped bag has a heart on it.
She... bought me a sandwich.
Holy shit I'm in love!
I look to my scroll.
I should really thank her.
I lay on my bed, the boring monotony of classes behind me, scroll in my hand as I quietly type out a message to my apparent girlfriend.
Wow. That's only just setting in.
I have a girlfriend now.
"So. You seem to know a bit about me, perhaps a little bit more than I am comfortable with considering we have had only one true conversation, but that's not really important. What is, is that I don't really know much about you, and if we are going to make this work, I feel like I should know more than just your name." - Lucas 3:45
"I think. At least. I've never actually dated anyone." - Lucas 3:45
"Good. I don't want you tainted by any simple whores." - Neo 3:45
I frown slightly as I tilt my head.
"On that note. Have you ever dated before?" - Lucas 3:45
"HAH! No. Nobody was ever good enough for me." - Neo 3:46
I begin typing a message only for her to cut me off.
"Till now. I'm saving my V card juuuust for you!" - Neo 3:46
"Does that mean that you wo-" - Lucas 3:46
A moment passes as a small blush crosses my face, I look away from the scroll embarrassed at her message.
"Don't even think for a SECOND that I will abandon you! I swear if you start thinking those self-deprecating thoughts again, this time I'll be more than a plastic bottle hitting you!" - Neo 3:46
"Alright. Fine. Jeez. So, favorite color?" - Lucas 3:46
"Pink. What about you? This was one of the few things I wasn't able to find out." - Neo 3:46
"One of the few things." I scoff under my breath with an eye roll.
"Blue for me. What about favorite food. I don't really have one per say. It sort of changes. I don't really have a food that I could say that I'd be happy to eat every meal of the day. Currently I'm on a bit of a sandwich kick. Though I mean, I can't really get them often as what lien I gather isn't much. A five lien card on the street here, a few cents there, sometimes I get some lien or so for doing 'chores' around the school like cleaning class rooms." - Lucas 3:47
I kick my feet up on the footboard of my bed with a small smile as I continue texting.
I didn't exactly have many friends before.
It feels nice to have someone who cares.
"It's genuinely criminal that they're able to get away with giving you so little. Aren't you supposed to be the next line of defense against the creatures of grimm?! Shouldn't they be making it so you have a REASON to protect people? To give back to the world? Like, I'm not expecting steak dinners and shit like that, but you should still have a fucking KITCHEN!" - Neo 3:47
I mean, she's right.
She also probably knows a bit about crime considering that she casually broke into my home like that.
Meh.
"Also, I really enjoy ice cream. I'd personally say that it's my favorite, but I do like to have savory things every now and then." - Neo 3:48
"Gonna be honest, I thought that was the case, I just didn't want to assume." - Lucas 3:48
She sends a pouting emoji, catching onto the fact I was mildly poking fun at her appearance.
A bring a hand to my forehead as my vision swims slightly. 'Wh-'
I suck in a breath as a stabbing pain passes through my skull.
Ah. Another fucking migraine.
Wonderful.
The past month or so I've been having them fairly regularly.
UGH! The school year is in full swing! I didn't think about how these would be an issue in the school year.
I let out a groan as I roll over and make my way to the fridge, I open it and grab a wet rag which I had lazily tossed on the bottom shelf a while back.
I crawl back into bed and use it to cover my eyes, letting out a quiet sigh.
*Ping*
*Ping*
I pause as the pain abruptly vanishes.
*Ding*
That wasn't a noise my scroll makes.
I sit up slowly, taking the cold rag off my face.
I flinch back as a flat holographic-like screen appears in front of me.
Congratulations! You have built up enough aura for your semblance to activate!
What the fuck?!
On this momentous occasion, we are going to give you a card pack on the house! Because, after all, you don't have any cards at the moment, do you?
Cards? What the hell is going on.
A foil package appears on the screen, a large bluish white dragon sits in the background of the pack as a boy with ridiculous hair stands in the forefront, I mean, he has spikey hair, that is black and purple, with blonde lightning-like bangs.
That's ridiculous.
'What the hell is... going on?!'
The pack rips open and with a flash five cards appear on the screen, it appears to be the back of the cards, orange and black, in a slight swirled pattern that makes it look like a portal.
The first card flips, showing a greenish card with what it describes. A forest clearing.
Forest {Field Spell}
Transforms the surrounding 30 foot radius into forest terrain. All Insect, Beast, Plant, and Beast-Warrior monsters on the field gain 200 ATK/HP.
Special: You may double the cost of this spell in order to double the area.
Base Aura Cost to Maintain: 50 Aura per minute.
Stats?
Card effects?
Wait.
Is... is this my semblance?!
The next card flips, showing a green hand grasping a blue orb of some sort that has orange runes on it.
Dark Energy {Equip Spell}
Increase the ATK and HP of a Fiend-Type monster equipped with this card by 300 points.
Aura cost to cast: 100 Aura.
Aura cost to Maintain per minute: 10 Aura.
Next I've got a skeleton in a purple cloak.
Skull Servant {Level 1} {Monster Card}
{Zombie} {Dark}
"A skeletal undead that isn't strong but can mean trouble in large numbers"
Attack: 300
Health: 300
Aura cost to Summon: 18
Aura cost to Maintain Per Minute: 1
Next, a purple card with a dragon jar of some sort on it.
Dragon Capture Jar {Continuous Trap}
Target one 'Dragon Type' monster you can see and prevent it from moving or attacking as long as this jar is on the field.
Special: This card can be 'activated' on numerous dragons at once, simply multiply the aura cost by the number of dragons targeted.
Aura cost to Summon: 500 Aura
Aura cost to Maintain Per Minute: 50 Aura Per Minute
My semblance...
Is card game based?
A small smile crosses my face.
That's awesome!
The final card is a swirl of blue and a lighter blue, with an orange wispy dragon and demon thing being sucked down into it like some sort of sink drain.
Polymerization {Spell}
Fusion Summon 1 Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, using monsters from your hand or field as Fusion Material.
Aura Cost: Half of the component's summon cost (unless they are already on the field, in which case, no cost)
I tap my chin, watching as the screen flickers out, then reopens as I focus on it.
Yes...
This is my semblance.
I feel like an entire new world has opened to me...
I got a girlfriend and unlocked my semblance in a single week?! Holy shit my life is changing so fast!
Buuut it's certainly a lot better than it was!
YOU THOUGHT I'D ACTUALLY FINISH A FIC?! AAHAHAHAHAHAH! NO!
God I hate myself.
Blame Yugioh.
And those on the Shiro Gaming Omniverse Discord Server who acted like little devils on my shoulder.
I hope you enjoyed! Who knows how long this will last before my fucking accursed brain rot leads me off to get distracted elsewhere!
Also. Tears of the kingdom came out so I'm probably going to vanish off the face of the earth for a while...
Inb4 BOTW/TOTK Gamer fic. Fuck... that sounds pretty cool. Ngl.
