In the aftermath of the battle against the Fourth Angel, Shinji is unable to bear the burden of being an Evangelion pilot. His heart closed off, he wanders the streets of Tokyo-03. Bound by fate, he encounters another whose heart bears a burden much heavier than his own; Ayanami Rei. And through their binding, an unusual thread is unveiled.

With Halloween around the corner, both pilots get some good news from their caretaker. This Halloween will be one to remember, as both pilots have in them more than just their Halloween spirit. (Waff) Oneshot AxS.
