Kokona was humming a cheerful tune while swaying her tiny arms carrying a box of souvenir. She had just met Sensei at Schale to discuss matters concerning Shanhaijing, as well as to see Sensei again after long time not seeing each other. No matter how, Sensei always put themselves in various situations which went from serious to nonsense. This put Kokona in awe, while also concerned for their being. Seeing how adult life that Sensei were currently living on, made her question whether her wish to grow up soon was right all this time. Realizing her mood almost went sour, she shook her round head quickly. She tried to encourage herself by Sensei's words.

'Like children, adults are also different from one to another. Kokona, don't think too hard for your cute little brain otherwise it will fry.'

Recalling their smile and pat on the head, Kokona puffed out her cheeks with tint of pink spread across them as she hid her face with her long hair. The people who noticed it felt their heart just got swooned.

"The station...is this way."

To reach Shanhaijing, she needed to ride the same train she rode here. Right now, the sun was still above the head, and people were still busy doing their jobs. Kokona never got the chance to observe the lives outside of Shanhaijing, because of that she didn't understand what is happening in different districts or schools.

"I hope nothing bad happens."

Kokona was taking a different from the way she came before because she was meeting Sensei outside of the office at first. After walking for few minutes, her eyes caught a park on her sight.

"Wow! There is a park this huge! Much bigger than the park near Plum Blossom Garden."

Kokona was about to step inside the park, when his mind drifted to Shun's message this morning.

'Once you finished meeting with Sensei, go home as soon as possible.'

Her sparkling gaze faded. With no spirit, she dragged herself away from the park. However, her ears perked up catching the chime of an ice cream seller.

"Ice cream?"

Kokona turned her body in a flash to see an ice cream vendor near the entrance of the park. With such a scorching day, it quickly got surrounded by people wanting to get some frozen threat to sooth themselves. Kokona was also the same. She had went over the limit of ice cream for the week at home, but here she was unnoticed.

"We-Well...since I am not here every day, and I still have pocket money...I will buy one, then go home. Right."

Once she finished steeling her will on not doing anything bad, she happily skipped towards the vendor. Her face lit up when she eyed on the flavors available. Chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, her happiness even caused her ears to dance. She asked for those flavors, and the ice cream seller scooped them up and put them on top of each other in a cone.

"Here you go young miss. One Neapolitan flavors ice cream cone!"

"Thank you!"

She cheerfully thanked the seller and took a seat under a shady tree. She took a lick, and she blissfully squealed in the cold and sweet taste. It had been a while since she could take a break. As she was enjoying the ice cream, she was watching the clouds. Their shapes looked like animals. It reminded her of those in the picture books that she showed the children at Plum Blossom Garden.

"I wonder if they are taking a nap right now. Fufufu."

Despite often being teased by them, Kokona was fond of the times she spent with the children. She would give them reward when they are doing good things or scoring perfect scores. After that, she would play with them until they were all tired and asleep. Kokona often eventually fell asleep as well next to them.

"I wish Shun nee-san would wake me up. Instead she put a blanket over me, and the children laughed at me when they woke up."

She puffed out her cheeks again, before chuckling and finishing her ice cream. When she noticed the time at the park's clock, she quickly stood up.

"Oh no! I am gonna miss the train!"

She was told that the train back to Shanhaijing going to take longer time to arrive. If she missed this one, she would need to wait until near sunset for the next train home, which also meant that she would reach home by night time. Shun would definitely be mad at her. She dashed out of the park, but a shout stopped her.

"STOP!"

A bullet just crashed down her ice cream tower, and all of it scattered on the ground. Kokona was frozen in shock and confusion.

"Don't let her get away! FIRE!"

A rain of bullets were approaching Kokona...or rather the person who was running towards Kokona, with arms ready to grab Kokona.

"KYAA!"

"Sorry!"

A girl with a long black hair wearing a mask snatched Kokona and ran away after threwing a smoke grenade. The chasers who were shooting at her stopped their barrage due to thick smoke. Once the smoke was cleared, they had already gone. Clicking her tongue, the leader of the chasers yelled.

"She mustn't be far off! Find her!"

Groups of armed thugs went searching for their location. The leader gripped her gun tighter before yelling again.

"We are gonna make her pay for everything she had done! She wouldn't survive this time!"
