Chapter Thirteen
Later…
The Craftsman…
Colby and David were talking with Don about their conversation with Kirklands and, while Don was frustrated that they didn't get anything from them, he was just glad that his agents were at least able to work together.
'I'm still going to have that talk with them at some point, though.' He thought as he listened to his agents' grumblings about the couple and their annoying attitude.
While they were talking, Amita had come over to see if Charlie was available to look at some notes she was taking, though she knew immediately that everyone looked busy, so she knew it was a long shot but she actually just wanted to see Charlie.
"Hey, Charlie, how's the case going?" She asked as she found him in the kitchen with Larry, who looked somewhat distracted but that wasn't unusual to her at any rate.
"Well, we've managed to narrow our search for the potential stalker, even with the additional data with the Kirkmans." Charlie answered distractedly as he looked through his papers
Amita smiled and just simply nodded, as she knew that this recent case is definitely getting bigger with the latest developments, though she was glad that there weren't any nosey reporters or paparazzi crawling around the house. Though she supposed Don was able to keep them at bay.
For the moment anyway.
She turned her attention to Larry, wondering what they should discuss, as he was still somewhat distracted, though he was starting to pay more attention to what was going on around him.
"Hey, Larry, what's up?" She asked
"As a matter of speaking, I am not that "up", though rather, I am doing well considering the growing stresses of this case, but I do have some rather good news." Larry mused
"Oh, what's that?" Amita asked, now curious.
"I have an appointment with Agent Reeves this weekend, as we will be doing coffee, which I do hope goes well." Larry said with a small smile
"Congrats." Amita said with a big smile, as she liked the agent and she had thought she and Larry would make an interesting pair.
She then looked at some of the evidence and found herself a little disturbed at the possible thought process of this person going after these people.
'I have known people who were stalked and it's one of the scariest things that can happen to a person.' She thought, internally shivering at those incidents.
She shook her head and went back to looking through the pictures and notes and wondered what kind of person could do this sort of thing and was he or she a friend or an acquaintance of these people?
She just hoped that it won't be the case, as that is just a whole other level of horror that these people will have to deal with.
